Clean Crawls

Clean Crawls did a wonderful job with rodent exclusion and cleaning in a crawl space 5 years ago that had stood the test of time. Too bad it sounds like they're no longer in business / sold to another company.

No longer in business I reached out for an estimate online they gave away my contact information and my address for some other company. That company Insulation co LLC reached out looked at the square footage of our and provided me with a bid without coming over to look at the space. Do not give them you info!!

I have reached out 4 times both through the website and the phone number with no success. I guess business must be pretty good since they obviously don’t need mine.

I think the company might no longer be in business. We had them do some work on a house we were selling and then our own house. After the work was done, I requested paid receipts as well as an inspection of the work done. We had invested a lot of money into the work and I just wanted to be sure all was done as expected. I’ve left many messages, at the company phone number, via email and via text to the salesperson. Nothing. No response. When we were setting up the work, response was immediate. I suspect the company has folded.

Been trying to schedule service 3 times in a week and a half and still no call back from either voice mail or answering service. Kinda bummed.

They need to get thicker food boxes I can't even get out of my truck before the food is on the ground. That sucks

I am so happy I called Clean Crawls! They were excellent, professional, and always on time, and they always took the time to explain what was going to happen next. We had 4 companies give us quotes, and although they were the least expansive, I feel they could have charged more, and I would still feel like I got the best of the best. I recommend them 110%.

I definitely give Clean Crawls a 5.0 rating!!!! Our handiman suggested Clean Crawls. He said that "They will do right by you." My pest control guy said "Their work and their price was "fantastic!'" Victor and Able were the technicians who spent 6 hours under our house "removing rat infested insulation, installing a black vapor barrier, deodorizing and sanitizing, checking all foundation vents , removing rat damaging heat ducts, installing R30 fiberglass insulation with twine to secure, and wrapping "the rigid main trunk line with R11 fiberglass insulation! We hired clean crawls after a great experience with the person giving the estimate. It went down hill from there…when they came to clean our crawl space, we were told by the crew cleaning we had a sewage leak. A plumbing crew had just come out and stated it was just a drain pipe. Obviously they couldn’t finish work with the water, which is understandable, but they stated we needed a bio clean team to come out and clean up the “sewage.” The cleaning crew stated there was visible sewage. We got a bill for $3100.00 to clean up the “sewage.” Clean crawls would not come back out to finish the work even though the plumber confirmed it was not a sewage leak. The plumber made the repair. It was not a sewer leak and was a drain pipe as explained. We had the bio service done for no reason. I called clean crawls for an explanation and explained the issue with them. We should not have to pay for a service they suggested if it was clearly not necessary. I was told a customer service representative would call me back, but I never heard from anyone. We had them come back out to finish the job since we had them start. They left insulation scattered in our yard where our child and dogs play, screws were left in the grass, and staples and plastic were left in our garage where they could be easily stepped on. Yes the staples seem petty, but for having kids and pets in the house, and paying over $8000 for services, it takes 15 seconds to look around and see if you forgot anything. Unprofessional and disappointing for paying as much as we did for their services. I will be calling them again for follow up but so far have not heard any response from them so I decided to make a review which I don’t do often.

House always smelled musty. They wrote a detailed proposal for solving our problem. Did everything they said they would do. Reasonable.

I had them blow in insulation into my attic, they were significantly less expensive that the other quote I received. They completed the work in a timely professional manner and took great care not to make a mess in the home.

The Clean Crawls crew was awesome! We had some water damage under our house. They came out and gave us a great estimate to fix and answered all questions that we had. Belinda was amazing, allowing us to ask very detailed questions about how the process would work and made us feel comfortable. After the initial estimate I knew who we were going to have our insulation done by. I personally didn't know how they were going to get all the work done, with the crawl space being so tight. The crew doing the install were professional, thorough, and very quick. Came out in the morning and were done before the end of the day. The before and after was night and day. After going down there, it is in a much better spot and I am confident it will be for years to come. We will be recommending Clean Crawls, and if needed use them for future work.

I am on SSD and have an old house that has no insulation in the ceiling, floor and walls. My local Power company has a rebate if you can get the insulation company to except getting paid directly from them after the job. Well this company is not willing to work with people on SSD during these times you would think there would be companies that would be willing to help you keep your home. It's not like they weren't get paid, it is just after the job and PUD inspection is cleared, so basically if they do the job right there shouldn't be any worries. NOT A COMPANY THAT CARES!!!!!!

I recently had my home’s crawl space worked on by Clean Crawls. There were several issues during and after the service, all of which were met with push back or complete denial by the company’s customer service representative. First, I was misquoted for the price of the job. The estimate worker that performed the quote listed the incorrect insulation size which resulted in a higher charge than initially agreed upon. Fine, mistakes happen. I paid the difference and we moved on. While at my home, the maintenance team informed me that I had not yet paid for the service and payment was needed to continue. Knowing I had already paid, I called the business’s customer service representative and after asking a second time for payment and some back and forth between her and the work crew, the misunderstanding was resolved and they once again began work under the house. After the work was “completed” I realized that our hot water was not working. Once again I called the business so they could come restore our water. After explaining the issue to the CSR, she first asked me if I was sure the issue was due to their company. After ensuring her that I did not turn the hot water off for fun she then asked, “Can’t you just turn it back on?” as if it was my responsibility to fix what was broken by their company. Finally, after a day and a half of no showering or hot water usage, the crew came back out to fix it. About a week later we had a team come out to install AC under the house, hence the need for the aforementioned insulation repair. After two minutes of inspecting the crawl space, the worker came out and informed me that all the ductwork had been torn down and some of it dented, presumably from crawling over it. The cost of this job would now be increased by thousands of dollars due to negligence of the crawl space workers. When I made a call to Clean Crawls to make them aware of the mistake they made, the CSR was completely dismissive, stating that they would never touch the ducts and that they were explicitly told not to. Further, she stated that any work on the ducts would have required permission from me, the homeowner. Clearly Clean Crawls did not want to take responsibility for such a costly mistake on their part, but I made contact again about the issue shortly after. They sent out the employee who initially provided the quote (the incorrect quote might I remind you). I had him confirm that the workers instructions were not to touch the duct work at all. After he confirmed this I showed photos that he and I had exchanged that showed the duct work during their work had insulation wrapped around them, and after their work they did not. His comical response was that “Taking the insulation off of the ductwork was not included in your quote so really we should have charged you more for that service.” Are you kidding me? So now they admit that the workers did touch the duct-work without permission but are trying to twist it like they were doing me a favor. I am disgusted with how this business handles themselves. I have tried reasoning with the business directly. It would be fair to reimburse the amount that I had to pay to install all new duct-work under my home but Clean Crawls refuses to consider it. I am reaching out to the Better Business Bureau in hopes that we can come to an agreement on a billing adjustment. If still no resolution I will be forced to take action by way of a civil suit.

They were quick, professional, and easy to work with!

We had Clean Crawls come out to perform a crawlspace remediation after we purchased a home. The crawl space had possible rodent activity, a super old vapor barrier, no door to the entry of the crawlspace and all the previous insulation around the pipes had slogged off. They got geared up and went down there, cleaning out the space, coming out with multiple garbage bags. They laid down a new vapor barrier, reset rodent traps, wrapped pipes in insulation and ensured there were no entry points for pests. On site they also custom fabricated a new door for the entryway to the crawl space. They did an excellent job all in one day and for what I considered to be a decent price (the entire job was under 5k). Thanks Clean Crawls for the great work!

Clean Crawls completely cleaned our attic this spring, in advance of rewiring and other rehab work, blowing away all the competition! I called four well-known vendors, received three bids. Hector and Juan were on site just a few days later, on time, and were very responsive to my concerns and others on the work site. Sales rep gave us a quote on the spot. We were able to schedule right away. The crew showed up on time, they were very respectful not to damage our home (covered everything in plastic, positioned the truck to not hit the garage, etc.). The two man crew worked all day to remove insulation from our attic. Everything was spotless and deodorized when they left. Highly recommended. Highly efficient.

I would genuinely be skeptical of this business. To sum it up, Clean Crawls is just out to get your money. The estimator Nathan came out on a Saturday and said we had mold. He wrote up a proposal that included remediation. My husband and I didn't like the high quote of $4200+, but we figured we had no other choice but to take care of the problem. After the weekend, Nathan told us he needed to resend the quote because he "fat fingered" the numbers. The quote came back over $1000 more!! Needless to say, we declined the proposal. We had 2 more companies come out to inspect our attic and guess what...we do NOT have mold. We also learned that even if we did, mold doesn't grow on insulation. Nathan said we had to remove ALL our insulation and reinstall. Either Clean Crawls is majorly deceptive or absolutely incompetent. (Not sure which) This probably doesn't matter to many but I'm a stickler for customer service and the overall attitude of the individual coming into my home. No booties were worn over his work boots (personal pet peeve of mine) and his demeanor was quite odd and a bit off-putting to me and my husband. Please be wary of Clean Crawls. I don't trust them.

60 yrs ago i arrived in WA from CA, best decision of my life. But when I wasn't looking a sewage line under my home from the kitchen, broke and flooded crawlspace. Took me a couple of months to find the source of the stench, but when I did I called this firm and in a very few days they cleaned the mess, hauled the soiled materials to the dump and charged a surprizingly low charge. Good work' low cost!!.

I have been calling and complaining re: the service I got from Clean Crawl.. I am sad and disappointed with the work and customer service We have received.. Nathan promised Clean Crawl would get this done fast and good. I stressed to him that I have a daughter with asthma.. He assured me this job was going to be done asap.. Unfortunately that was Not the case. The Crew did Not complete the work. But they sure did Charge and took my money. Unfortunately I had to get it inspected and of course. The work was not done Correct. I have been Calling Mike and No Call Back. BECAUSE of the work Not being done or a called back From Mike. We couldn't get the ducts cleaned out to turn on the heater untill the crawl space was cleaned out and repaired / ready to go....( There were ducts still ripped and not repaired) Clean Crawl put my Daughter's Health at Risk. I am very upset. I've had to take my daughter to the Dr. twice.. I called and left messages... I am discusted with Mike Clean Crawl. I finally spoke with the office and she said Mike was sitting next to her and that she would personally tell him to call. Still No Phone Call from Mike... Clean Crawls was the third contractor I called for a bid on the job. Their bid was so reasonable after being left with the feeling that other contractors were ripping me off. The crew was very efficient in getting the rehab work done on my crawl space. I recommend this company without any reservation. 738 square feet of crawl space; clean out all debris, remove and replace vapor barrier; seal all possible access points from rodents; build new rodent barrier at crawl space access door; replace damaged HVAC duct: $1300.

Had a need for more insulation in my attic. They came out and gave a great review of what we needed and gave us a really good price. When the day came to do the work the installers were right on time, they were very professional and did an amazing job! Super clean, after they were done you couldn't tell that there had been working. We are very happy with the quality of their work and would highly recommend them tomanyone.

We called in to get a bid on having our entire crawl space cleaned out as we have rats/mice that tore threw a lot of insulation. They scheduled me out about a week at 10am. I received a phone call the day before the appt saying they would be here at 10am. On the day they were supposed to show up, they no showed. When I called in, they couldn't tell me what happened and wanted to get me on the books again. No explanation whatsoever. This type of customer service is unacceptable.

I had Clean Crawls come and give us a bid. To provide the bid, Rob, the estimator took about 1.5 hours of our time. He did provide a bid and I was interested in having the work done. When I asked for an assurance that there would be no additional charges on the final bill, I never heard from the company again. A complete waste of our time. Pick another company if you value your time!

Jeff was on time and did a thorough job of explaining everything that we needed and why. He also let us know about the PSE rebate and how we can accomplish that. He was on time and funny. The crew came when they were supposed to, they were professional and got the job done in the allotted time. I would definitely recommend clean crawls to anyone who needs to have their Vapor Barrier replaced, insulation, or just security of knowing that everything under their house is in the right place.

I had wet insulation I needed removed. I got a quick bid which was for the attic. They were going to remove all the insulation not just the wet. I was told I needed to do that by Kevin the guy who went out to look at my problem that could be seen by the cut out chilling where we had dripping water.the bid was for $800 their minimum. I didn’t feel they were listening to what I needed so I called another company. Well the attic had nothing to do with where the wet insulation was. Had I used this company they would of torn out all my insulation in an area that had nothing to do with my problem. Wow I dodged a bullet. Kevin said he went out to the property so why didn’t d he bid the attic. The company I used said they couldn’t even get to the wet area without having to tear out drywall as it wasn’t in an attic or crawl space.

David was very helpful with our options and the costs to fix our crawlspace. After trying several companies who either didn't even get back with us or couldn't do the whole job, it was a relief and a very good experience to be finally taken care of! They did an excellent job in 1 day as promised. I would highly recommend them.

I used Clean Crawls approx 18 months ago when I had a rodent infestation in my crawl space. I was AMAZED on how well the crew of 4 went to work, the volume of material removed, and the expertise on the install of new moisture barrier and insulation. I could not be happier and I told everyone! So in late October 2017 I had heard noises and detected orders from my attic. While my large 6'7" frame restricted my ability to search my full attic and see if I could resolve the problem, and given my great experience with CC in the past, I immediately contacted them to address this issue. Nov 3, 2017 I had them return to address the birds in my attic. Again - an OUTSTANDING job of confirming my findings, removing the old insulation (and carcasses), deodorizing, blowing in new insulation, and totally cleaning up the complete area. My wife and I are HAPPY, HAPPY!! No odor, no more noises in the attic, and I will again and continuously tout their expertise to all my neighbors and friends. Thank you CC.

Absolutely would recommend this company! The two gentlemen absolutely were work horses. Very very hot in the attic and they tackled it like a champ, also to my suprise not only did they bag all the old nasty insulation but also broken wood, shingles and garbage. Would definitely recommend. No more nasty insulation smelling up the house on hot days..

Fast and thorough!

Clean Crawls staff cleaned out my crawl space - removed all insulation and debris, installed new plastic vapor barrier, plugged several holes in foundation and built a new screen across crawl space entrance to stop pests/critters from entering. After confirming no more pest activity, new insulation was installed. Despite very late arrival one day, all work was done efficiently and to my satisfaction. I am pleased with the results.

Great inspection experience, very thorough. This is the second house I have bought and I feel very comfortable going into this buy. First house inspection with another inspector was a joke, you can use Eric and know that you won't find any bad surprises down the road. I would recommend Eric to anyone I know.

Clean Crawls showed up on time. The two gentlemen were very courteous and got right to work. Phase I completed in 3 hours. They layed plastic down on my floors, bagged all the outgoing installation up and took it with them. They installed our new vapor barrier and deodorizer our crawl space. Set traps to be checked in 7-10 days to make sure there are no rodents, then the new installation will be installed. Great experience! Use them, they are Great! Thank you much!

I was contacted by clean crawls after filling out the info for contractor referrals on the PSE website. Things started off okay but when they ended up coming to my home they sat outside in the truck for 45 minutes then one of the guys came to the door and said they were leaving. I asked why and he said something came up with the other guy that was here and that I should contact the office about rescheduling. After talking to the office they said they would send a different crew that evening todo the work. They came and went, they were here until about 830pm. One of the things i paid them to do was wrap my pipes since they have been freezing. Jump a head a few months I'm down in my space and I see the pipes were never wrapped at all. I've been try for a month to talk to someone about how I get this taken care of and they refuse to respond to me. I guess once they have your money they dont have any need to provide good customer service or stand by their work. They are very disappointing. I would never use them again.

Wow..! What a terriffic job Clean Crawls did in our crawlspace..! When we bought the place a year ago our home inspector said the crawspace needs attention - rats were getting under there knocking down insulation and making a mess. I went underneath the house a few times for some other howmowner issues and knew I needed help. Called CC and within a few days Rob inspected and gave us an estimate and a few days after that the guys where here promptly at 9 am to do the job. I just went back underneath the house and all I can say is Wow..! Night and day difference - no more hanging insulation - no more nasty smells - and the new vapor barrier is thick and shiny and perfect. I give the guys who did the job a lot of credit - they stayed down there a lot longer then I could - did a terriffic job - a job they can take pride in..! Thanks Clean Crawls..!

I had a rental with an outside crawlspace access door that had been open for at least part of the winter. Some rats had built nests and left tracks in my insulation, especially around my heating ducts. Clean Crawls came out and gave me a what I thought was a very fair estimate to replace the insulation and vapor barrier on Memorial Day Weekend. The replacement crew was out three days later and did an excellent job of removing all of the old material and replacing it. Everyone was extremely courteous and professional. In May 2017, Clean Crawls insulated my crawl space with spray foam. I was impressed by the job they did – the two-man crew who came out were clearly experienced, and they did good work in a tight space. The salesman who came out to look at the house and give me a quote was also helpful. He communicated with me clearly and returned calls and e-mails promptly. I was charged exactly the value of the original bid with no fuss, and the price was lower than what it would have cost me to purchase do-it-yourself spray foam kits. I would certainly do business with Clean Crawls again in the future.

The quote process was very efficient and thorough. Pleasant group of guys to work with. We had some major infestation problems and there was some slight miscommunication between the pest folks and the work crews (some exclusion work required several revisits). Insulation work totally renewed the crawl space area (even I might venture down there now!). The insulation crew did leave several insulation wrappers around that floated around the yard for a few days until we picked them up. Overall a highly recommended experience. I'd certainly call them again.

I was very impressed with how fast I was scheduled to receive professional and excellent service from Clean Crawls employees!! They were able to work around my busy work schedule and even worked around removing the mess under my house, gave me time to have the water pipe repaired and then came back to finish installing the vapor barrier and insulation. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up all of the mess. There was a slight misunderstanding about the cost of one item but when brought to their attention it was quickly and completely refunded without any hassle. I highly recommend this company as living up to not only Angie List recommendations but also mine.

I called for an in-home estimate and the salesman came prepared with information about my house (square footage and the year it was built). I knew the house was under-insulated because my little wood insert had to work so hard to keep my wife warm. I made the mistake of looking in my attic while the estimator was checking out the conditions up there. BIG MISTAKE! I had about an inch of 1944 insulation and about an inch of rat droppings and filth built up over the years. Whatever his price was, I was sold! I was pleased with the price and even more pleased with the crew that came to evacuate the horrors of my attic. They used drop cloths and each bag was tied tight before it came through thee attic access hatch. My house is quiet and warm now. My small wood burning insert is nearly too much, but that's a great problem to have!

I am very appreciative at how professional the people are at Clean Crawls. I have met 2 people, talked to several, and received e-mails from a few more. They call you if they are going to be late (Seattle traffic!!!) so I am at least informed. I contacted them because of good reviews from people I know and they did not disappoint me. StevieJ

We had insulation issues in our crawl space, and tell tell signs of pests. They were quick to respond, then worked with our timetable. They did exactly what they promised. Each person we encountered was professional, respectful and polite. Clean Crawls, we would highly refer you to any of our friends and neighbors.

We needed to clean up under our house, repair falling insulation and add attic insulation. Clean crawls did a great job, so we had a clean inspection when we sold our home. The only reason we didn't have a five star rating was we had extra insulation added to the attic area and some of the drywall seams couldn't take the extra weight. It caused noticeable sagging on the ceiling in areas. To Clean Crawl's credit, they had a contractor come repair the problem areas and the result was acceptable. We sold the home with no other insulation issues called out.

Clean Crawls came out to a property we were considering buying to give an estimate. They were so professional and cordial and came highly recommended from a real estate agent in the area. I would not hesitate in using their services again.

I was aware of Clean Crawl's reputation, so they were the first ones I called. I explained that they couldn't start until the pest company had removed their traps. The pest company offered a comparable service, but were considerably more expensive. Clean Crawl arrived as expected and were done in no time at all. They covered the inside of the house in plastic as the crawl space entrance is in a bedroom. Very neat and professional, would recommend them to anyone.

We knew when we bought our 1967-vintage house that it badly needed more insulation and the folks at Clean Crawls made that a very pleasant and painless experience. The estimator came out, examined the attic, showed me the pictures he'd taken and described -- in DETAIL! -- the work he proposed and why. He also explained that my utility (PSE) had a rebate program for homes like mine and that they would handle the paperwork. PSE would pay them directly, lowering my out-of-pocket expense. When it came time to do the work, the crew arrived on time, did the work quickly, cleaned up thoroughly, then gave me "before" and "after" pictures so I could see what had been done. Finally, they were able to use one of my existing vents instead of installing an additional vent, so the final cost was even a bit lower than the initial estimate. Highly recommend these folks!
