Koala Insulation of Central Atlanta

I had some very much needed home insulation installed today in my attic. I couldn't be more pleased with the crew. Van did excellent during the entire estimate process. Thank you Koala!

I had a very unprofessional experience with Van, the estimator for insulation. As a new first time home owner, I do not yet have a ladder for attic access and was not prompted to disclose this prior. I was told that he couldn’t give me another appointment as I was on the edge of their service area even though I told him I was looking for multiple estimates and wouldn’t mind setting up another time. I would not recommend this company. If you did not want my business you should have not accepted the appointment in the first place.

5 stars isn’t even close to how great this company is. About 4-5 years ago they came to do my crawl space, I had no reason to question their work, however I just went into it a few weeks ago and discovered that they hadn’t sprayed the entire area.. I found the number and discovered that it was under new ownership (Ryan) and explained my situation.. He was COMPLETELY understanding and wanted to make sure that I was made whole.. we agreed on a fair price and within 4 days the new crew came and finished the installation of foam. I would do business with again for sure, shows what caring Christians would do to help out another person.. GOD BLESS HIM and his company.. 2 million stars !!! Thanks for everything..KG

They also were very helpful in providing the needed documentation to apply for a Georgia Power rebate for the home energy Improvement. This was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The company installed insulation and 2 solar attic fans to replace our electric ones. About a year later, we discovered black mold on our ceiling.<br><br>Two independent roofers confirmed the roof was not sealed correctly after the prior ones were removed. We do have photos and videos of the errors. Even worse, their own technician later admitted the same thing and resealed the installation, confirming the error. Despite this, the company offered no help whatsoever with the mold damage or remediation costs.<br><br>The owner, Ryan, personally told us he would help make it right, but after that visit, we never heard from him again. No follow-up. No resolution.<br><br>Additionally, while the salesperson, Bryant, initially appeared friendly, his demeanor changed completely once we raised concerns. During an already extremely stressful period for our family, he denied responsibility, became hostile, used profanity, and hung up on us.<br><br>We expected professionalism and accountability, especially after researching them initially. Unfortunately, we experienced neither.

Joey and his crew did a wonderful job. I believe his crew was Gabriel and Louis too. I highly recommend this company with their professionalism and promptness.

I had my attic insulation updated by Koala. They beat another estimate by close to a thousand dollars and did a great job. They were informative about what I needed and installed can light covers and sealed other areas before completing the installation. They were quick to answer questions, on time, and neat. Everyone was a pleasure to work with including helping with rebates and tax forms.

No clue how good this business is in terms of insulation, but they really need to retrain their drivers. This truck was so excited to race to the next red light that they thought it would be cool to block the full intersection during my commute home.

Koala worked with me an explained all options for improving my houses HVAC efficiency. In the end, they removed all my old insulation, added insulation to R49 in my finished room over the garage (FROG), where they explained that they could not apply spray on foam insulation, built a wall to in the attic to seal that in, then applied spray-on foam insulation everywhere in the rest of the attic. The house seems much better now. I look forward to being able to compare the power bills for this and last Septembers. Their price was about 65% of a competitor who I do not believe would have done it right. The competitor said they would use spray-on foam in the FROG, and Koala explained that you can't do that properly.

Their communication about everything from estimate visit to arriving on the job was exceptional, something I value. They were the only Company that took the time to notice our attic fan was no longer functional and needed replacement. When an issue came up they totally took responsibility and resolved it for us. Ryan was amazing. My husband and I were out of the country and my MIL was at our house with the kids. There is a leak coming from one of the bedroom ceilings. Ryan responded very quickly and came to our house to check properly in regards to our insulation being soaked and where it was coming from. Contacted Koala Insulation, late in the day. They were happy to discuss what I needed, even after learning I was out of their service area. I did not feel rushed, but the gentleman took his time to educate and answer questions, offered to be a resource in the future. They have referred me to someone they know who does service my area. Impressive customer service even when it wasn't to make a sale, just to help me.

Glen, Luis, Gabrielle, and Brian were the dream team. Under these circumstances, I can't imagine a more seamless experience for a job of this size. Our house is 125 years old, so they had their work cut out for removing and installing new insulation in our attic and crawl space. I contacted Koala on a Wednesday, and they told me they did not service my area. The office staff was such a delight to speak with, she told me that she would see what she could do. She had me scheduled two days later to get an estimate, and that Saturday they were here putting the insulation in my attic. The sales was professional, polite and knowledgeable. The installation team did a quick and efficient installation and cleaned up very well before they left. They arrived at the scheduled time. Thank you very much for helping me out. I can tell the difference in my home already, it is staying nice and cool inside even with the hot days we have had it was a cool feel 72 in here and the temp seems to have leveled out throughout the home. Encapsulated my crawl space in a little over a day. Everything looks amazing and they cleaned out 70 years of debris under my house. The 4 energetic gentleman did a fabulous job and worked extremely hard. One of the best decisions I’ve made and just wish I’d done it earlier. During my initial call Ryan asked lots of questions, and then provided information and literature to help educate us.<br><br>We had originally planned on foam insulation, but when Ryan came out to inspect the house, he explained that the layout of our roof and attic would not be appropriate for foam. We opted for fiberglass instead. I also appreciated all the pictures he took and notation of issues he found in the attic that they would address.<br><br>The install team were prompt and polite and the job was done surprisingly quickly. We had a great experience with Koala Insulation of Central Atlanta from beginning to end. Upon initial contact they were readily available to come out to perform an assessment and estimate. Ryan McCann came out to evaluate our attic spaces and provided great information along with very thorough and easy to understand reccomendations for improvement. The estimate was very detailed and came shortly after he concluded his evaluation. The scope of the work included replacing very old Batt insulation, installing radiant barriers, sealing, and installing attic stair case hatch cover. Bryant Cavin and his team performed the work a few days later and the results were phenomenal. The before and after in terms of temperature were easily notable. These group of people are true professionals and excelled at communicating. They were prompt, seamlessly organized, and friendly. They prepared their work space and protected the surroundings nicely and cleaned were well after they were done. Highly satisfied with their quality of work and would hire them again without a doubt.

Loved their service. They are thorough, meticulous and cleaned up after their job was complete. I just happened to stumble across a YouTube video of a Lowes professional explaining their process of attic insulation and that's what got me interested in making a consultation appointment via Lowes to have someone take a look at our attic because our house was 20 yrs old and needed some insulation renovations performed. The consultant from Koala took a decent time in our attic, took pictures and laid it all down for us as to what needs to get done to ultimately lower our electricity costs and make our house more energy efficient. From start to finish I felt Koala were professional and did a great job through the whole process.

Ryan, the owner of Koala, came to my house to do a free evaluation. He did a great job explaining to me about how insulation works. We walked through the basement where I need repair or replacement of the insulation in the ceiling joists. He showed me where there are issues with humidity and moisture. He explained that some of the insulation is still in working order. And he gave me specific help on what I could do on my own to manage the situation. I expected to spend in the thousands of dollars for service, but Ryan showed me that I can replace faulty insulation on my own, how to do it, and what to buy. I feel sure other companies would have offered me a contract to do all the work. Instead, I can do the upgrades myself for a few hundred dollars. It was a great surprise. Five Stars!

Koala Insulation of Central Atlanta performed a thorough and free assessment of my attic insulation and provided a line by line detail cost estimate to re-insulate and install insulated wall barriers in our attic. We’ve been in our home for 4 years and the home is 30 years old and needed some serious re-insulation work done to improve the heating and cooling efficiency of the home. Other insulation companies estimates were significantly higher than Koala and did not offer the special features that Koala offered like an attic venting fan and an insulated zippered cover for the attic entryway. Wow! What a great addition! The detail line by line estimate afforded us the opportunity to add or delete features that met or did not meet our needs. The Koala team was amazing. They showed up right on schedule and the team reviewed the project scope and contract pricing to ensure that we were all aligned before the work started. The Koala team was professional and efficient. Due to unforeseen personal issues, I had to have the project date reschedule two times. Koala worked with us to accommodate our schedule changes and Koala still honored the original cost estimate. The completed job exceeded our expectations and there is no doubt that we will definitely have lower heating and cooling bills as a result of the work done by Koala Insulation of Central Atlanta!

Javier and the team did an excellent job. Seems like they know building science well. All soffits and external ventilation boarded off prior to a thick spray foam install.

Great experience. Ryan came out to do an estimate and within 20 minutes had a full plan on how to treat it. They scheduled it via text message and they gave updates on when people would come out to the house. I got a text the morning of indicating Tim was on his way and arrived 20 minutes early. They were in and out in less than two hours to install the solar fan, pump in 8" of insulation and put in my seal for the attic door. Excellent, clean and professional. Would recommend.

The guys who did the job were prompt, answered all of my questions, showed me what they were going to do to be sure everything was correct before they began working, and had me check the work when finished. I was looking to improve the insulation in the attic of our 20 year old house to combat the increasingly hotter summers and knew I wanted spray foam. Their sales representative, Casey, came to the house and after a brief presentation of the company made a thorough inspection of the attic space, then quoted the job right then and there. I thought the price was very reasonable and a few days later accepted their formal quote. It was a two day job, one to remove the old fiberglass insulation, then another to apply the spray foam. The two crews that did the work were very polite, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves. My wife and I were very pleased.<br>We noticed a difference right away, the furnace and A/C run much less than before, and the house seems more comfortable.<br>I highly recommend Koala Insulation of Central Atlanta, they do things right!

Fast, responsive, professional work. And very honest! We’d been told by our pest control company we needed new insulation in our attic and crawl space and a new moisture barrier. Casey the sales manager came out for an estimate and told us we didn’t need any of that. There were some items we did need- new attic fan and a seal for the attic door which got scheduled and installed in 2 days. Highly recommended!

My entire first experience with Koala Insulation was great. All the staff members I interacted with from start to finish in-person and via email provided excellent customer service. And, their prices are very competitive. I will be using them again in the future and highly recommend them!

The staff showed up on time, were courteous, and efficient. They set up the insulation tube on blankets so the floor would not be affected. They also checked for tunneling because a competitor stated I had tunnels, which I had not seen. The guys took pictures of all their work, including a small tunnel that went no where, thus confirming my suspicions of the competitor. I would highly recommend Koala because I believe them to be honest and trustworthy. Their price is in line with the other estimates except for the aforementioned company that wanted approximately $6,000 for doing unnecessary add-ons.

I was very happy with Koala. In a space with wildly varying project quotes Koala was very fair in their pricing and did great work. If you are looking to complete an insulation project, make sure you consider Koala.

I would highly recommend Koala insulation. They did a thorough job, did a very intense inspection of the entire home and did the job efficiently. Casey was my rep and I greatly appreciate all his knowledge and kindness as it was a huge job. From the time I called them to the completion of the whole job was less than 2 weeks. Not all companies are as thorough so remember cheaper isn’t better. But as far as price they were very fair. I had 65% of my house and my entire attic and garage sprayed with insulation. I am in the middle of a whole house mold remediation.

We recently had Koala provide much needed insulation & couldn't be happier with the entire process. I think we had every insulation installer in the Metro come and provide a quote - they were either ridiculously priced, high pressure sales people or borderline sketchy. Koala did a great job with insulation/attic revamp & I would definitely recommend them to others. Team was easy to work with, informative, and highly communicative. Ryan and is crew are the truth. Professional and efficient. My attic was in the 140f rage at the peak of most summer days, now we’re around 85f after the foam was blown in. The crew did a good job cleaning up the old rolled insulation too. I held off on leaving a review until we had a hot day and I could see how the house felt since we had about ten inches of insulation and a hatch added to our attic. That day is today, and I'm amazed. Normally I have the thermostat on 74 and it's running at 76 or 77, unable to cool down to 74 until evening. Plus, he thermostat sits right below the attic door, where hot air was leaking, making the unit run constantly.<br>Now the thermostat is set at 75, and the house is at 73. The a/c hasn't cut on for the past two hours, the hottest part of the afternoon.<br>Koala got me scheduled for an estimate a day or two after I requested one, and they did my job the very next day. The crew was great, done in about an hour (our house is only about 950 sq. ft.), showed me what they did and cleaned up after themselves.<br>I got an online estimate from another highly rated family owned company, but they ghosted after promising to follow up. Maybe our house was too small for them? Their estimate was $1K more than Koala's, for the same thing, so it was for the best.<br>10/10 recommend.

I contacted Koala for an evaluation of my attic insulation and crawlspace. Casey determined the insulation in my attic was sufficient but my crawlspace had a few concern areas. I had a vapor barrier and insulation installed in the crawlspace. Everyone I spoke with including the installation team was professional and thorough. Casey also walked me through how to get tax credits for energy improvements. This is a great team and I definitely recommend this small business.

We hired koala insulation to install new insulation in our attic. I priced two other companies before Koala, and their estimates were two or three times higher than Koala. I called early<br>Friday and by Friday at lunch, Ryan came to our house to assess the situation. His advice was thoughtful and accurate. I have a building science degree and know a little about building envelopes and air intrusion, and all of his suggestions and observations were legit. The came to install the insulation three days later and did a nice job. The team that came was very polite and professional. I am so incredibly happy with the work Koala did at my home! My home was built in the 1940s and had no attic insulation. I called Koala and Casey came out to talk to me about my insulation needs. Is getting new attic insulation exciting? No. It’s one of those home improvements that you have to do and need it done right. Koala Insulation was great! Ryan and his crew were incredibly professional and did a great job air sealing and adding insulation. On time, great communication, and product knowledge was superb.
