We had them add insulation between the studs of one of our rooms. The work was fine, but the crew did not clean up at all and left all of the furniture in the middle of the room including pieces they took apart and did not put them back together.

We had an absolutely excellent experience with EcoTec insulation recently (12-2025). The entire process took only about a week from my call to installation. I got lucky as they had a cancellation and they were willing to accommodate my installation before the end of the year. From the sales visit by Andrew to the installation crew, these guys did excellent work. They removed my old insulation, air-sealed all gaps between my living space and attic, installed some can light covers, and then blew in 15-16 inches of new insulation. My home had about 800-900 sq feet of total attic space and from the time they walked in the door to when they pulled out of the driveway, they finished in an incredible 6 hours! Great job!

It was a pleasure to work with Brian, Andrew, and their family business. I recently had Eco Tec at my home doing wall cavity insulation. My house is over 100 years old and largely stucco exterior, both of which present more challenges, but they were able to do get the job done mostly from the outside. We have used Eco Tec for a number of insulation projects with our home. They are prompt, professional, fairly priced, and perform quality work.

We used EcoTec to install some insulation in some vaulted ceilings where we were having some issues with condensation. Hopefully the issues are resolved (I expect we won't fully figure it out until wintertime), but EcoTec was easy to work with, patient, worked with our contractor to do the work while we were out of town and seemed to do a good job while minimizing damage to the exisiting drywall.

We had an appointment on June 23 where someone came out to our house and looked in our attic and said they would put together a quote. It is now July 21st and despite following up with the company three separate times, we have yet to get the quote. I don't think at this point we would bother to use a company that clearly doesn't prioritize communication as I would worry about this behavior if anything went wrong. Additionally, I feel extremely uncomfortable that we let someone into our home to do this, and they seem unconcerned with doing what we asked. It feels like a violation to our personal space and like they wanted access to our home for some other reason since this work clearly wasn't the main reason they were here or they'd have given us the estimate. Really disappointed. Edit: I have been in touch four times, I got a text about this review, you have my contact info and I've checked my email was correct with your staff already.

I had my attic insulated by EcoTecInsulation and I am extremely happy with the results and their service. Brian personally worked with me to ensure my project was done right. Josh was awesome to work with. We were having condensation issues with our upstairs shower ceilings and he identified the issue was from a lack of insulation in our attic. He gave us an honest assessment of what needed to be remediated and informed us that the job was far less than what we heard from other companies. His team had to complete the work in two stages and he prioritized our project on short notice. The team was efficient, respectful, and most importantly - clean. Couldn’t be happier with the result, the communication, and the price for the project. He saved us thousands of dollars and was extremely ethical. Highly recommend!

I had my house fan duct insulated and additional loose cellulose blown in today. My crew was Manuel, Eduardo and Ceazar.. They were prompt, personable and came prepared. We took a few minutes to orient them to the job, and then they went to work. They were all self-starters, shared the job between them, and did what needed doing. They wore coveralls and facemasks to protect themselves from the dusty environment. They laid plastic down with painters tape to keep the floors clean. They carefully brought the blow hose in thru the 2nd floor window, and made sure nothing was scarred or discolored by the hose. They built a solid sealed box of 1" foam board around my house fan duct so I would no longer lose heat there, and so the attic insulation could have its full effect. They made improvements to the hatch insulation, the hatch walls, the insulation of my bath room ducts and they leveled the insulation better than before. Manuel advised me on a better type of wrap for the ducts, and used the extra to wrap the hatch. I was very pleased with their work overall, and I appreciated not having to go all the way back to Brian to get sensible, useful information about insulation! I highly recommend EcoTec and would hire them again if ever I need another insulation job.. Great work!

Waste of my time and no showed for consultation. Went to the website to get a quote. It makes you schedule the consultation. I scheduled it for a few days later and at a time that was available for selection and received a confirmation. No one showed up. Received an email 8 hours after the scheduled time thanking me for interest and offering me to schedule a free at home consultation. They obviously don’t value people’s time.

Eco tec did an amazing job with our bungalow attic. We found them through the Chicago bungalow association and I'm very glad we did as our house is well into 100yrs. There was comcern due to the age of the house but they were extremely professional. I am writing this a few months after service so I could have some data to add. During our first winter, our house struggled to hold over 68° in the peak winter months (Nov-Jan). Our furnace had run times of 228 and 353hrs during our previous winter with avg temps of 40° and 37° respectively. I tried everything you can do from the big box stores. Window seals and door stoppers. Nothing helped as much a what eco tec has been able to do. The service was top notch, they assessed our attic and made recommendations on things to do prior to the spray foam service. Once completed the scheduling process was very quick and the removal began. It was quick and clean with no damages to the house. The application process did take a additional two days but this was not a problem as they communicated the situation very thoroughly. Our attic is quite large so it was very understandable and we planned for this possibility as well. The results have been amazing! Last winter we were constantly bundled up and fireplaces running along with the furnace. This winter (Dec-jan) our thermostat has been at 71°. We have increased the hold temp by 3° with the same run time as December 2023 at 227hrs. In January we actually ran our furnace less and the at a higher temp( ~40hrs less). On top of it all the average temperatures have been colder this year at 33° and 23° compared to what I listed above. The proof really is in the pudding! I can't recommend them enough. Thank you to Miguel and the entire eco tec team. My wife is significantly happier and I am as well.

Eco Tec was able to replace insulation removed due to water infiltration from our neighbor's unit above ours within one day and do it from the opening in the ceiling already cut by Chicago Water & Fire during the mitigation work. Eco Tec's major competitor not only rescheduled their site visit multiple times, but also insisted the neighbor's flooring and subflooring needed to be removed to replace the insulation which would have added many thousands of dollars in costs to a relatively small (120 cuft) job.

Wow, just WOW! By doing three simple things Eco Tec Insulation disrupts the insulation business: 1. They answer the phone when you call. 2. They provide you with a quick and accurate estimate (in my case, over the phone). 3. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job professionally, courteously, cleanly, and on budget. We are extremely pleased with Eco Tech. Brian explained the state of our original insulation in our 60 year old home. Over the 30 years we have lived here, the 2nd floor temperature had become too hot in the summer and too cool in the winter. We had additional insulation blown onto the attic floor to a depth of about 15 inches and the difference was immediate. We are now cosy and have been able to turn down the temperature AND dispense with sweatshirts in the house. Looking forward to lower heating bills. This is really closer to 4.5 than 4. Brian was a true professional as he put up with all my nit picky questions and tried to answer them to the best of his ability. I had them spray foam the rim joists, replace the vapor barrier, and clean up old insulation. Brian's crew arrived on time and did everything promised per contract in a timely manner. Although the final result wasn't "catalog picture perfect" (thus the slight score deduction) they still did a great job given the very tight space they had to work with.

For this project, Eco Tec covered a large attic with cellulose, blown in insulation. Their work was excellent as they first fully sealed the attic, ensuring joints were covered with caulk - and also added baffling. The workers were professional, the job was excellent - evenly spread across the attic, with vertical rulers to measure the height and mark for r-value calculations for any inspections - and they cleaned up before they left. While I would always prefer spray foam, it wasn't possible here, but Eco Tec still did an outstanding job. I'd recommend them to anyone interested in insulation.

Awesome experience! Everything was smooth from start to finish. I had Eco Tec remove all the old batts of insulation from my attic and replace it with 5 inches of closed cell foam. I had a very bad experience with EcoTec. Afterward the owner, Brian, did come out and we talked which I appreciate and where I asked for a partial refund to cover the additional costs I incurred during the installation and to clean up some of their work because I did not want Eco Tec to do anything else and did not want their work to be a nuisance for people. They did not think there was any cleanup necessary and thought everything they did was great. I disagree and my issues with their work are: 1. They were dangerous. I wasn't told anything about the installation process and what safety procedures should be followed. I was allowed to stay in my condo unit throughout the installation of spray foam. I wasn't actively disobeying or ignoring their instructions. After actually looking up what is recommended or allowable (including talking to their spray foam manufacturer), this was totally unacceptable. They did not stop my HVAC system during installation either. I assumed and trusted that they would be safe and tell me what was appropriate safety measures like professionals but they were not at all. I will never forgive them for potentially exposing my family (including 1 year old kid) to what can be pretty toxic chemicals. 2. They spray foamed the wrong place. When they said they were done, I came out to see that they had done the ceiling instead of the walls. Hard to undo that. I didn't ask or want it in the ceiling. 3. Their work was not very effective. There are already gaps in the spray foam in the ceiling of the mechanical room. The floor of the room all the work was done for is still cold and inspectors that have come have noticed cold areas in the walls and ceiling as well. I think they oversprayed in our mechanical room ceiling to a point where it is going to be a nuisance for our building.

Great job by Eco Tec! 3-man crew spray insulated my 2-story garage in one day! Fast, clean, and most importantly they did an awesome job on the insulation. My wife and I could tell the difference immediately in temperature and sound. Communication and scheduling was professional. I took bids from multiple companies and Eco Tec was more than fair. Stacy walked me through the process and we compared and contrasted the different options I had. She explained everything clearly and after speaking with the competing businesses I felt most comfortable with her and Eco Tec. I will use them again when I do some remodeling in my house and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We recently had our crawl space insulated with spray foam - rim joists and walls. We submitted an inquiry on their website and they quoted the job the next day without even having to come out - including pictures of the crawl from a prior real estate listing. Pretty slick. Their price was about 30% lower than a few other quotes we got so happy with the savings. Their crew was great, got here right on time, put plastic down everywhere, sprayed the foam and cleaned everything up afterwards. We're already noticing a big difference in the room above the crawl. So from the beginning through the end of the project this company was easy and good to deal with - quote, scheduling and actual job completion. I'd highly recommend them. Do note the foam smell will linger for about a day and it's pretty strong, but I suppose nothing anyone can do about that, and it's totally gone now.

Eco Tec went the extra mile in diagnosing my problem, providing prompt and personal service, and refusing to exceed their original quote even though after they got inside my ceilings, they had to do a significant amount of additional work. I heartily recommend them to anyone needing insulation or spray foam installation or replacement.

I contracted Eco Tec to remove all insulation in my attic that accumulated over the past 75-years prior to taking ownership. Eco Tec sprayed open cell in my roof rafters & closed cell in my exterior walls during a renovation project. From the estimator, to the office staff to the working technicians I could not be happier with the process and their quality of work. All were very professional & helpful throughout the process even when I had to re-schedule their work or ask for a touch-up weeks later due to other trades disturbing some completed areas. I recently contracted Brian at Eco Tec Insulation to install closed cell foam insulation in a 110 year old house my wife and I are rehabbing. This is a total gut out project including adding a second floor and small addition. We could not be more pleased with the work performed and the quality of the material used. The performance of the closed cell foam is simply amazing. Foam insulation is great but it must be expertly applied by a very experienced person and Peter is just that person! His crew Rafa and Romero provided excellent prep, masking, trimming, and clean up work. Stacy made it all come off without a hitch with great communication.

Amazing experience and phenomenal job! First the quote over the phone was painless, immediate, and helped avoid wasting time. The price they gave me was very competitive and fair. They came out on a really short notice and did a phenomenal job! Showed up first thing in the morning and were out within a few hours. Closed cell foam every inch possible of my basement and did meticulous work. I couldn't have hired a better company for this job.

EcoTec provides free estimates over the phone which is a tremendous help considering most companies want to charge you a fee to come give an estimate. The customer service agent Stacey was very pleasant to work with. She answered all my questions pre and post service provided. The installers that came in where very respectful and treated my home with care. The one ask is that before the installers perform work, they explicitly describe what they’d be doing. I was not fully aware of some of what they did until the job was complete. And I would have requested alternate service if I had know.
