We had our attic serviced with CA Attic and Build in Dec. around 1100sqft. Attic was cleaned out, sprayed, insulated and sealed to prevent future rodents from getting in. The attic hadn’t been touched since it was built. They did a great job and cost was reasonable for the amount of work. But what impressed me the most, was the customer service after they were done. Attic and Build doesn’t just do the job and disappear. They follow through with their commitments. Really a great company. Thank you owner Ben, Dan, the kind receptionists and the installers at CA Attic and Build.

I am a remodel contractor. I work a lot of homes to try to keep our job sites clean. California attic and build were super professional and really clean on the inside of our home which is much appreciated. They masked off everything real good covered our wood floors and did a good vacuum on their way out very professional team that you recommend them you get what you pay for.

This company did great work for us! I bought my house in 2019 and it did not have any attic insulation and was rodent infested without my knowledge. Dan and his crew eliminated the rodent infestation, blocked future rodent access and fully insulated the, attic. It was still hot weather when the work was done, but the house cooled immediately. We have not needed to use our air conditioning since then. Now that it is cooler, the temperature has remained constant and comfortable. Even though we have solar, I anticipate that next summer's energy use will be much less. We also feel that the price we paid was very fair. We recommend them highly!

This fabulous company removed our asbestos ductwork, excluded the rats from our attic, removed the existing insulation, cleaned and sanitized the whole attic, and installed insulation for a great price. The insulation made a incredible difference this summer and so far this winter, keeping our house at a nice temperature. I emailed them this morning when I thought there might be rats in my attic again. They responded to my email and called me back within 5 minutes. Within a couple hours, the owner Ben came out and examined the attic and assured me that there were no 🐀 rats (my paranoia). Outstanding workmanship and service - I can't recommend them enough!

I highly recommend California Attic and Build for your next attic project. They offer free attic inspection and illustrate well about their steps of old installation removal, cleaning, sanitizing, sealing and insulation reinstallation by pre-recorded video clips. I was offered $5000 for the approximately 850 sqft attic project with a 10% discount at the end of the inspection. This is my first time contracting a house project. Without other homework, I accepted the offer on the inspection work shown by the picture and video I received from the inspection. On the day of the work, four young workers arrived on time, set up the work environment that prevented dirt pollution of the house on their work path from the street, through one bedroom window to the attic. They proceeded to work following the steps. By noon time, the lead of the four informed me that sanitizing and sealing was completed and they would start the new installation after a brief break for lunch. They returned to work shortly afterwards and completed the blown in the latest CA code cellulose installation around 2pm. A few days later, I received an email from California Attic and Build with the invoice and the pictures of the attic that show the work in progress to completion, nice work! I particularly appreciate their caring customer service, clear communications and extra effort to address my extra requests.

Today I met the Owner of California Attic & Build. He offered a free estimate, and I invited him over. though I didn't act on the received proposal I felt it important to let folks know that Dan is a very knowledgeable and personable professional that dropped a lot of helpful product information and cost data on me that I value. My reasons for not going with California Attic and build have nothing to do with Dan's Company at all. I rehired a company of familiarity. So, my takeaway is to let folks know that This Company via the owner's sales presentation is "Golden" I truly appreciated his time that was given to me freely. I do plan to recommend California Attic and Build to my family and friends!

I want to highly recommend California Attic and Build for the quality of the workmanship, the materials used, the isolation used for the protection of air quality and their accountability for their work. No Bait and Switch here...they were short material because of a missed room in the estimate phase, and came back the next day to complete it at NO ADDITIONAL COST. As for their environmental controls...I have asthma and am very sensitive to air quality in the house, especially dust, etc. I also am a former engineer for the US Environmental Protection Agency, and I must say I was most impressed with the the protective measures they took to isolate their work. We bought a new house that was built in the 1980s and it still had the original insulation. We called California Attic and Build to help us out and they went above and beyond to complete the job. They not only take out the old insulation and replace it with something more safe, pest repellent, and better insulating, but also clean, sanitize and seal off all entry points so critters can not enter. Aaron was our foreman and he and his team were first class in communication, work ethic and clean up. I would like to recommend a great company that follows up if issues occur: CALIFORNIA ATTIC & BUILD Finally a company that has integrity I worked with Dan and Ben the owners of the company. My house was built in 1937 I had taken 3 roofs off replacing them with 1 NEW roof. The attic was a complete mess with nails, wood chips& chips everywhere. I had been up in the attic to check on the furnace which some rocket scientist installed in my attic. This in my opinion, made the project more complicated with additions made to the house since 1937. I can tell you today, in 2025, I highly recommend California Attic & Build. My 88 year-old house is cleaner, warmer in the winter and cooler during warm days here in San Diego🌴 Their staff was professional. They sealed all the entryways where pests could enter my attic. Prior to the insulation they thoroughly cleaned & sanitized my 88-year-old attic. It’s truly rare to find owners of a company that actually care especially after Covid.

We contracted with this firm for a cleanup for several reasons.They checked all of the boxes with their presentation and processes needed to get our attic in shape. The crew was on time and organized throughout the process. The supervisor and his team were very polite and careful in their actions with exceptional results as shown in the before and after pictures they shared with us. California Attic & Build performed exactly as they said they would and we couldn’t be happier.

I hired California Attic and Build for attic cleaning, rodent proofing, and insulation installation. The other reviews on here are great, so I'm not sure if the team was having an off day. If I had to do the work again, I would hire the team for attic cleaning, but not rodent proofing or insulation installation. Attic cleaning: 4 Stars. The team did a pretty good keeping the mess from getting in my house. When I was working on some ceiling lights, I noticed areas of debris they missed, but my attic was a MESS before they got there. So overall a big improvement. Rodent Proofing: 1 Star. When they were doing the rodent proofing they missed a few areas, so they had to come back out and correct the issue. The frustrating part was that they missed areas I specifically pointed out, and was then told the areas were completed...not great QA. Insulation Installation: 4 Stars. Again, a good job of keeping the work zone contained to the attic. Above some of my ceiling lights, they placed baffles and some they did not so there is inconsistency or lack of QA. Insulation is effective, but I would not go with cellulose insulation again.

Very good experience. Just bought the house, which had a (known) rodent problem in the attic. It's a large house - about 2400 sq feet of low clearance attic, so this was a big job. They spent a day clearing out the existing insulation and plugging access holes. We then laid traps, and over the ensuiing weeks caught a couple more rats. They came back, found two small holes they hadn't seen the first time. We reset the traps, went two weeks without a problem, and they then came back and blew in new insullation. The crews were very friendly and professional both times (removal and installation). They worked hard - this was a large job, and I'm very happy with the company. Would highly recommend.

Called out California Attic & Build for an inspection because I knew my insulation was really old. Dan came out a day later and gave me a full breakdown of what he found in my attic plus he took photos to explain himself. Very professional and thorough with the explanation of the project and I learned a lot from our meeting together. Dan & Ben, run a great team of installers. Had my attics 65 yo insulation removed , cleaned and sanitized, sealed all voids andaccess points, before reinsulating with new product, did over 1000 sf in just over 6 hours, leaving no trace, no mess after the transformation. Crew showed up right on time, protected my carpets and the bedroom with the attic acess, removed all the 20 year old insulation and rodent "leavings", sealed up the entry points, disinfected the entire attic....allowed me to inspect the work (...it was SPOTLESS up there)..then finished of with R38 worth of new clean insulation. I can just feel my electric bill going down as I'm writing this. 6 hours later we're shaking hands and they're saying goodbye. I was so stressed because my attic was dirty with old fiberglass insulation, rodent droppings, lizard shells. I called California Attic and Build. They sent Sean to my home to talk to me and inspect. Few months ago I noticed a large amount of rat feces in my attic while checking for leaks. I browsed around for a company that handles this kind of work and I came across California Attic & Build. They came, inspected, and recommended a complete work in the attic (their price is also very competitive and reasonable). During the job, they removed the old batt insulation, cleaned up all the rat droppings, sanitized the area, and sealed any openings that could attract any pest. Then they proceeded with putting the new blown in R30 insulation. The team were efficient, professional, and the job was done in a day. A few weeks later, I checked the attic to see what it looks like. I was satisfied but I had questions. I wrote the company an email and they responded immediately. Ben came, did another walk through, and answered my questions in person. Ben not only answered my questions but he had his company come back to add another layer of insulation in addition to normal compliance. They are great with making sure workmanship is guaranteed. Their customer service is top notch and I highly recommended this company. I’m very satisfied with the job but most importantly, their customer service in ensuring their customers are highly satisfied. Thank you to Ben and his team!

From Start to Finish - so very Happy with California Attic & Build! We purchased an 85YO Home in Mission Hills the end of May. My mantra has been ‘On this episode of This Old House’! So we re-roofed in June. Used an RS (Reflective Series) Comp Product. But as the day went on the upper level of the home got so hot as the day went on. So next step for us was Attic Insulation - hard to believe that had not been done in the 85 years that this Home has been here! We decided to go with R-30 Batt. Our project was completed yesterday, and our temps upstairs are truly less today! I will be able to do a comparative of SDGE bills July vs August and I already know they will be way less. So moving on - the level of Professionalism, Workmanship, Communication with the Team was stellar and they fit us into their schedule with a cancellation. They sealed every entry point, crevice (attic and our crawlspace/basement), cleared debris from the roofing project, sanitized, etc. etc. etc! Big shout out to Dan, Ben, Marcus and the entire Team! If you are looking for Insulation - look no further! California Attic & Build is the Best!!!

Very rude and unprofessional. The person did not even inspect the attic and started sharing old notes and saying things which didn’t matter. When I showed the ad they told its only around furnace. When asked to clarify he ran away. The ad they post is just to get leads. Never intended to do the actual work. This is the second time they are doing this. We mistakenly called them after the 1st bad experience. Seems like the person who came for the appointment doesn’t know what he is doing. Stay away from this company. Fraud company and big waste of time.

Marcus was the lead during the rat proofing of my attic. He was very professional and very determined to find every entry point. Him and his team did a great job keeping a clean and sealed off path from my front door to the attic entry and left it spotless before they left including any mess in the driveway. They all had great attitudes, y'all have some good workers. They started around 8am and finished just before noon for a 750 sq ft attic. They sealed everything on the outside as well and found spots I didn't even see after my "thorough" attempt. My attic has at the highest point maybe 3-4 feet of head space which really made it worth the money to have someone else get in there and grind away. I highly recommend if you want trusted workers to be in your home whether or not you can be there. Great job Marcus and the team!

We had critters get into our attic. We needed the insulation removed, the attic sanitized, and new insulation installed. The team is super professional and got the job done in one day. I would definitely use them again.

These guys do real work! They’re professional & respectable & ready to answer any questions you may have. Also, they’re not perfect. Because they’re human beings too. After they were done, no rats! 2 days later, I heard a rat in our attic. It was loud! It was trying to escape because it was being burned alive by the cellulose insulation they use. Essentially, it’s like boric acid. I called them & told them what I have heard. We set up an appointment for one of them to investigate & rat proof my house even more. He also set up a couple of rat traps. He told me to check the traps in about a week & to give them a call to let them know if we caught anything or nothing at all. I forgot to call them. 2 weeks later, I went to investigate & we caught NOTHING! I gave them a call to let them know we caught nothing. This company is definitely 5 stars & totally recommend them to anybody else who’s dealing with those notorious rats like we were. A little history before we called them. It was bad! Imagine watching TV in the living room & then seeing in the corner of your eyes a rat rushing to go under the couch. Now imagine it happening 3-4 times a day. My son had his nerf rifle & saw it down the hallway. He shot it, hit it, & made the rat turn into the bathroom. I had my BB gun on me & I rushed to the bathroom! I didn’t see it. As soon as squatted, it tried to escape but got scared & accidentally jumped into the bathtub (FYI rats can jump 3 feet high!). I unloaded on that rat hitting it several times. It was fast & then it got slower & slower. It didn’t die. My son gave me a bin cover/lid. I used it to pin it down & then I picked it up by the tail & took it outside. I tossed it in the middle of the street & then the crows were going after it. It was like watching animal planets of some sort. I did take a picture of the rat when it was in my bathtub & how hard the work these guys were doing. In any event, our rat problem was no joke. That’s why we called these guys & they did a great job.

We called California Attic and Build to inspect our attic bc of rodent issues we’ve been having. Dan provided us a very competitive estimate for removing, disinfecting , and install new insulation for our attic. They also rodent proof our house, garage and crawl space. We are thoroughly happy with the work the guys provided. Ben, Anthony and the crew were amazing. They walked us through the beginning, middle, and end of the project. They were very professional. Went into attic and took a lot of pictures of recent and old rodent remains and duct damage. Job took 2 days. Put up plastic where working in house. Cleaned up and very polite. Presented pictures of work done.

Amazing work! They were able to clear out rats, sanitize the entire attic, plug all holes, and install new insulation. They were quick, professional, and reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend them!

I had all my 3 attics in my house in Carlsbad cleaned last week and then insulated. They took out the 20 Years old insulation , cleaned , sanitized and closed off all the cracks that might allow rodents. In addition they put caps on all the Down lights. Highly recommend this professional team of employees who always came on time and did a great job while keeping the interiors protected and clean.

California Attic & Build did a great job rodent-proofing, sanitizing and replacing the old insulation in my attic. I prefer to DIY as much as I can, but I'm glad I did not in this case because they found additional rodent entry points that I would not have. Highly recommend!

California Attic and Built is a very professional company. They did a great job removing and replacing our old insulation, rat proofing and sanitizing the area as well. I believe it was David (?) who came out to see us, he explained the process and what to expect when his crew came out. Fantastic company!! We have an open space behind our house and rats had gotten into our attic. Both the owners and the workers at California Attic and Build were extremely professional, respectful, and so AMAZING at what they did to get rid of the rats in our attic, clean and sanitize everything, and put in new insulation. California Attic & Build are amazing!! Their service was exceptional from the first momen we started to completion. Not only did they provide a competitive price, but they also offered valuable insights into the best insulation options for my specific needs. In the middle of our project, we had a leak in the guest bathroom that was causing damage on the first floor. Luckily, Ben was able to take control and remodel a portion of my bathroom. We hired California Attic and Build after doing research and getting quotes from two other (larger) reputable companies. They explained the process well, answered questions and arrived on time. Our house was protected with plastic and we were shown photos of the work. We have yet to experience the new insulation at work but are pleased to have a sanitary, pest free attic.

The guys at California attic and build are super! After we discovered we had Rodents and mice in the Attic Thay came out right away and plugged all the entry points so the rodents don't have a way to return and change the isolation in the Attic as well as sanitized it. I am extremely pleased with the work that California Attic did for us. We recently purchased a 1960’s home that needed some tlc and inquired about getting our insulation replaced. Ben and Edan from California attic scheduled an inspection for the following day and discovered we also had a rodent issue that we weren’t even aware of.
