Reviews
Excellent service, quality workmanship, and great communication.
The were amazing to work with. Best remediation company ever. I have worked with several companies in the past and this guys and gals were on point, responsive and available. My emergency occurred on a Friday and there were there the same day, work on the weened and also were super responsive every step of the way.
The Blu Sky Restoration team is second to none, especially Sandra, Andrew, Roy, Diego, Adam, and Andres. Their communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail was above and beyond. This process was overwhelming at times and I had a lot of questions. They were generous with their time, detailed in their explanations, and provided me reassurance along the way. It felt like they were treating my home as if it was their own. The quality of the work and attention to detail was more than I could have hoped for! Highly recommend!
Andrew was awesome. He was very communicative and explained everything in detail. Even when we hit some snags, he did his absolute best to make it right. Very happy with the work as well. You can’t tell anything was done on the ceiling. A+ work and A+ customer service!
My home was flooded in May 2024. Blu Sky was wonderful in sending out Roy. Roy worked with me on a daily basis to make all repairs. Though it took six months to complete, Roy made a very stressful situation tolerable. Any questions or concerns, Roy was there to assist. I truly appreciate every effort he made to ease the situation. Thank you Blu Sky for sending Roy my way. Thank you Roy for everything. Ava, a very satisfied customer
Blu Sky recently remodeled my son’s bedroom after my A/C leaked and flooded the attic and bedroom they removed all of the insulation and water from the attic and replaced it and sheet rocked and painted the bedroom below, The room looks even better than it did before the ceiling collapsed I highly recommend this service and work crews were polite and professional and Fred that handled my account went above and beyond to get this taken care of for me and my family.
DO NOT hire this COMPANY If you are looking to fix to flip with cheap work, they might be your people, but if you are looking for quality work in a home you plan to live in, these are not the people you want to invite into your home. BluSky was recommended by our insurance to handle a fresh water leak. Sandra came out and sold us with her words and a few projects the company worked on. Googles lack of bad reviews gave us some hope. However, there is a lack of professionalism and communication, which are two things a company should have when working in construction. We started talking about the project July of 2021 with a 7 week time line, with an expected completion date of October 12, 2021. They could not complete the job within that timeline and the project was ultimately never completed. Not only did they do sub-par work, we continuously had problems. They installed thicker drywall in our hallway that housed our Washer and Dryer. The drywall was also uneven, so the wall pinches the washer and dryer at some points, but not others. They installed a sink that left an inch gap from the back splash of the bathroom. Once replaced with a sink that fit better, they had to cut the legs, but didn't seal the bottoms or put risers on the bottom, so it has soaked up the water and split on every single leg. They were messy with their work. We found ourselves going through the house and cleaning up, pulling out finish nails, or removing paint after they left. They ruined our bath tub with stuff that was stored “out of the way” - possibly with some chemicals. There was no resolution for this other than they will talk to their guys. The flooring company they hired shattered our sliding glass window, so BluSky made me work with their flooring companies insurance to handle the damage. Glass shattered all over our newly installed floors, since they failed to tape off the window properly. After a month of trying to scramble around from the hotel, work, or school to the house, I found a company to replace the damaged sliders. Let's continue with the floors. BluSky placed the orders for the floors, but they didn’t order enough thresholds for the flooring. It took 6 months to get the new thresholds in. When they came back to install them, they top nailed in the thresholds into a concrete floor and the transition in the kitchen is a huge tripping hazard with a large gap. We had a flooring inspector come in to check the work and found multiple issues through the house. They failed to level the floors, even through Sandra said it was a part of the job. Ultimately, BluSky was unable to present a reasonable resolution. Our project was handed over midway to their new project manager Andrew who tried, but ultimately failed to communicate in our preferred method of email with scheduling and plan of actions. They constantly rescheduled because they have other “emergencies” they needed to respond to and had no empathy on how their actions may affect their clients. On August 11, 2022, we decided not to invite them back into our home complete the remaining work needed and Sandra’s response to our communication was baseless and lacked evidence of work they claimed to do. We offered to settle for the work that was performed that we didn’t have to redo (even some work we had to redo). I ended up working with a mediator at the California Contractors State License Board, years of negotiations via email, false promises to speak with her boss Todd, we finally settled for the amount I had originally proposed in August of 2022 on December of 2023. So why did I wait so long to share this review? Because I'm moving and I don't have to worry about retaliation for sharing my story. So please steer clear of this company and wait for a reputable contractor that may not be able to start right away.
When I get a loss in the Sacramento area, I know I am in good hands with Andrew and his team. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and their communication is top tier.
Chris Rubio is the person you want if you need remediation services. The way he explained the process in detail, it made it less stressful to have everything going on. I can't say enough good things about him. He made us feel very comfortable about the situation and the whole remediation work needed. That guy is such an asset to your company. He genuinely seemed to care about getting things fixed and out back together for us. He didn't try to up sell us on anything and he didn't seem like one of those people that only cared about making money. He cared about our situation and it really showed by the steps he took to make the job go seamless and extremely fast. Thanks Mr. Rubio for getting the job done so fast and doing it with amazing professionalism.
Excellent job and great employees.
Sandra and her Son are fantastic! My wallet had flown off my car and her son found it in the middle of the street and made sure it got back to me. Not only are they an amazing business but they are genuinely spectacular people. Thank you for being so kind and I hope to do business with you in the future!!
On May 13, 2021 I experienced a water leak due to a second-floor toilet wax seal failure. Fortunately, the water had not damaged anything but a wet line in the ceiling below. My condo association immediately dispatched BluSky Restoration, and within 15 minutes I received a call from Chris Rubio, BluSky project manager, to assure me that all would be taken care of. Chris immediately dispatched Daniel, who was here before my plumber even came to fix the toilet. Daniel was meticulous in covering the entire area with plastic, and cut a precise hole in the ceiling to assess the extent of the damage. He installed a dehumidifier to dry out the area, and came back the next day with tools to determine that the area was completely dried out. After removing a dehumidifier, he reported back to Chris Rubio, the project manager, who then sent out a sheetrock specialist. Oswald was just as neat as Daniel, covering the area with protective plastic, and replaced the sheet rock, textured, feathered, and painted. Since the paint blend did not match exactly, Chris Rubio came back, reassessed to the job, and measured for a complete ceiling repaint. He dispatched Raymond, who because of his diligence completed the painting of the entire ceiling in one day. And of course, like his predecessor workers, Raymond covered all floors, paintings, appliances, and furniture with protective plastic, and upon his departure left not a spot of paint in the house. I feel it important to mention that my insurance company was slow to respond to every step in this process, but it was BluSky, and Chris Rubio in particular, who kept me informed and lead the way to get this job completed. In summary, for a job that is essentially minute for a company the size of BluSky, I feel I was treated as though I represented hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue for BluSky. In contrast to the slow and almost painful response from my insurance company, BluSky’s professionalism, precision, cleanliness, knowledge, and deportment was a blessing. In this day and age, it is a pleasure to make such positive comments on a job which, from beginning to end, was handled with great professionalism.
Great team work.
Chris at BluSky just oversaw a fire restoration for me in Sacramento. Although he had a very difficult time dealing with the County Inspectors. He went above and beyond in order to get this job done as fast as he could. Five stars for sure.
Very quick to respond and take care of the job! Sandra and Diego and the rest of the team are amazing to work with
Chris is awesome. He made the whole tear down and build back of my bathroom and new floors a stress free process. His best quality is he is very down to earth and communicates in a way that builds trust as a friend. He will go out of the scope of what he has to do in order to please the customer. I know I'm not easy to deal with and even when we had problems come up he handled them and always put me first. Top notch customer service with attention to detail and most importantly a down to earth easy to deal with personality. My only reason for a 4/5 is not even because of Chris but because I felt like a couple of the guys working for him lacked attention to detail for the price point of the job and they had to come touch up stuff in regards to paint craftsmanship a couple of times. (Chris was still willing to send them out and do whatever to make me happy however.)
I am so pleased with my new beautiful bathroom First of all Chris is the best He was very professional and kept in touch with me throughout the process His crew were very warm and efficient I would recommend BluSky to all of my family & friends Job well Done ☺☺☺
I had an unfortunate situation involving water into a bedroom and a collapsed ceiling. I turned it over to the insurance company and a headache began as they rushed to do testing, and tear the damaged areas down to the studs. Then the insurance company told me I was on my own to find a contractor. Luckily, one of the people working in relation to the abatement gave me the name of BlueSky Restoration. Chris Rubio of BluSky responded to my call immediately. He work quickly to get a proposal submitted to the insurance company who then kept claiming they never received it. Chirs and I kept sending it to the insurnace company and they kept claiming they never received it. Even though the insurance company kept saying they never received the proposal, Chris Rubio of BluSky worked professionally and cooperatively with me so we can get paperwork finalized and to get the work completed on the Project. Once the work started it was completed in a couple of days. Even though the Project was completed, Chris kept working with me to make sure the insurance company properly responded to the proposal. In the end the insurance company approved the entire BluSky proposal without modification. To me that means the proposal was complete and reasonable.
BluSky has always been very professional and in a timely matter. When I contact Chris he and his team get here right away to get things started and keep me up to date on the projects. They've been great and we will use them in the future
I manage several Homeowners Association's in the Sacramento area and have used BluSky for the last several years. They are extremely responsive and timely in their follow-up. They take the initiative to help with more difficult homeowners where other companies have declined the work and always make sure the homeowner is well taken care of at the end of the day. I wouldn't trust any other company to handle leaks/fires/etc. at my properties.
