Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation

We recently had Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation team led by Alex and Elina completely transform our home's cooling and heating system, and I can't recommend them highly enough.<br><br>They installed 5 new heat pump systems, expertly zoned 7 different areas for precise comfort control, and replaced all our old, leaky flex duct with high-quality KD ducts throughout our foam-encapsulated attic.<br><br>What really stood out was their commitment to doing things the right way. They performed full Manual J (load calculation), Manual D (duct design), and Manual S (equipment selection) calculations to ensure everything was properly sized and optimized for our home's needs; no shortcuts here. The result? Even temperatures everywhere, significantly better energy efficiency, and much quieter operation.<br><br>We interviewed 5 different providers. Most did not provide engineering calculations. Most did not provide hard ducts (KD Ducts). Most played games with cost estimates.<br><br>The installation crew was phenomenal. In a job this big (major ductwork replacement in the attic plus all the new equipment), there was inevitably some disruption, but they went above and beyond to keep dust and dirt to an absolute minimum. They used extensive floor and wall coverings, sealed off work areas meticulously, and cleaned up thoroughly every single day. Our home stayed remarkably clean throughout the entire process, something we really appreciated.<br><br>Professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and truly customer-focused from start to finish. If you're in the Scottsdale area and want high-performance HVAC work done correctly (especially with proper engineering calcs and duct upgrades), Ideal Air is the team to call. This company installed a mini-split for us two years ago, so when our thermostat stopped working and our HVAC wouldn’t turn on we called and asked for help. Nixaelen came out the next morning to assess the situation, and it was the best experience. She’s truly incredible in all the ways. She was efficient, knowledgeable, communicative (in a way that was clear and understandable), and transparent. She wore little booties to keep our already-gross-because-we-have-two-feral-kids carpet “clean”. She’s also kind, smart, and incredibly personable. Even our apprehensive “stranger danger” dog was happy and chill around her, which is as rare as winning the lottery. You know when you meet someone who just feels like family? That’s her. She aLeo gave us extra time to answer some other questions we had related to fans/HVAC/etc, and never made us feel rushed. My only complaint is that I wish my kids were home so they could’ve met her and had the chance to witness a person with amazing work ethic, communication skills, and all the smarts while fixing things and kicking butt in an industry in which we rarely see women. If we need to call for help again — and I’m sure we will — we’ll be asking for Nixaelen. She’s truly the best.

The technician who came to my home, Ryan Tracey. He was very kind and honest and told only what I needed. He didn’t try to sell me anything else. It is a blessing to know that there are still some honest companies is the State of Arizona

These guys like many HVAC companies it seems are hard core sales and not focused on service at all. We have an issue with our AC where two rooms of the house have very little AC flow. These guys sent some guy over to do a "free" evaluation and now its hard core sales time from them! And the estimates the guy sent over have NO explanation of what they are proposing to do for the cost proposed! They have pics attached but do not explain what the pics are of or what they are showing that needs fixed! These guys were recommended to us by friends but have not been impressive at all!

Ideal Air is an incredible company! We’ve been jerked around by a competitor where it seems as if they’re out to make a buck versus really trying to take care of their customers. We’ve had nothing but trouble with a brand new unit that was installed 3 years ago. We were having maintenance done, which we paid extra for and during that service the computer board on the ac unit that talks to the thermostat got fried. Their explanation, “ the part must have been going bad”. Really, on an Lennox unit that’s 3 years old? The part is under warranty, but they were going to charge $1300 for labor on a “rejuvenated” unit, versus the $800 Ideal Air quoted. Rejuvenated is it a used part??<br>The tech, Nixa, was incredible! Thorough explanations, no hidden fees, no surprises, very personable and meticulously detailed! This is why we are switching to Ideal Air! 🚫🐻‍❄️

I am quite impressed with the quality of their work.<br><br>I recently had 2 new Trane heat pumps and air handlers installed. I selected Ideal based on their reputation and lack of BBB complaints.<br><br>They took extra care to ensure a quality installation, including:<br>-- Filling the copper lines with nitrogen when brazing to prevent copper oxide inside the lines<br>-- Running a new refrigerant line because the original line diameter was not to spec<br>-- Upsizing the return register and the ducting in the attic to optimize efficiency.<br>None of the other companies mentioned these factors in their quotes.<br><br>Their three-man crew was in the house for 2 full days, always respectful and ready to explain everything they were doing. Everything under the attic access was covered, and everything was clean when they were done.<br><br>I spent a lot of money on this upgrade, but the quote was in line with other companies, and the final installation is top-notch.

I needed a new AC for my home in Chandler, and spoke to lots of companies before going ahead with Ideal Air. Sales/engineering was FAR more thorough than other companies in assessing my home and making sure we were getting a properly sized unit.<br><br>The installers were also very professional and cleaned up after themselves.<br><br>To top it all off, I had an issue with my funds on the day of the install and Ideal worked with me on a solution that was acceptable to everyone.<br><br>Honestly, just a terrific experience overall. I'll absolutely work with them going forward.

We just started a maintenance schedule with ideal air and every step of the way has been friendly, honest, and just overall awesome. Our tech was Nixa and she was amazing.

Terrible, dishonest, unethical company. Do not do business with them. They break whatever laws they want to!<br><br>Shoddy work, won’t last long and you will be wasting your money.<br><br>I called them because I was having a problem with my ac. I had went into the attic and looked at it and everything looked fine to me.<br><br>They came and told me that it was a leaking coil. I did a warranty call to get it replaced. As I was showing them (another company) the unit, I noticed the enclosure cover for my air handler was completely messed up. It looks like it was thrown down three flights of stairs and then smashed with a hammer. The latch was completely busted and they had used huge lag screws to create new holes in both the cover and the case.<br><br>This was a brand new unit. Nobody had worked on it since it was installed. I had just looked at it.<br><br>They refused to pay. They stated it was just cosmetic (it wasn’t, it leaked like a sieve), and that it didn’t matter how it was attached. They said their way of attaching it was actually better. That’s the quality of work you get with this less than Ideal air conditioning company.

My wife and I would like to say how pleased we were with the work of the Ideal AC Team. First with Ryan Tracey coming to check out our old unit and giving us options on new units. Ryan was very thorough. Second, Michael Kostrivas and the Ideal AC Team did an excellent job of installing the new unit and adding insulation to the attic. Every experience with Ideal Air Conditioning has been exceptional. Recently our air conditioner needed a blower replacement. The technician Nixa Gomez was very friendly, helpful and informative. She had exceptional customer service!

Great and fast service. Contacted on Monday about our HVAC issue and my that afternoon a service tech was over at our house to see what the problem was. Parts were ordered and everything was repaired by Wednesday.

My AC was no longer cooling on Sunday 9/21; Matt, an Ideal AC Tech was here on Monday AM, checked everything, and fixed the problem (a dead battery). Prompt and quality service! I do have a maintenance contract with Ideal HVAC.

After buying our new home, it was obvious that the previous owners did not maintain their AC units. I called Ideal Air to get the units looked at and tuned up. Our AC tech, CJ, was on time and thorough. Not only was he very knowledgeable and checked every part of both systems, he was personable and friendly. He had pictures and videos to show us what was going on. He didn't pressure us with any sales tactics and gave us options on the next steps we could take. If you want a technician who actually cares about the customer, I highly recommend CJ!

Nixa was great. She knows her stuff, we had a very old Trane, hard to find parts, lots of the old parts were rusted together but she did a lot of work and charge a very fair price, no hassles. Definitely recommend the company for any issues.

Daniel did a great job with our semi-annual service. The folks at Northern Air are great: professional, prompt, and communicative during the process. We have the annual maintenance contract and they notify us when it’s time for a new service. Very convenient.

The quote we received for the work to be done was NOT an estimate but an actual quote. Other companies could only give an estimate and used pressure tactics to get us to sign documents for the install immediately.<br>Our salesperson (Ryan) was forthright and honest and walked us through the entire quote and made it make sense.<br>The install group (2 people: Joseph and Ivan) were extremely nice young men. They both have a bright future as they were both professional and respectful of our property and our home. They both took their time and even stayed as long as they could until the recent monsoon HABOOB came and disrupted their work. They likely would have finished the job, but the inclement weather prevailed.<br>The next day, Michael came to button up the job and make sure everything worked properly and perfectly.<br>Lastly, Elaine has been in close contact with us to make sure everything was done on time and to make sure all our questions were answered.<br><br>Having a mini-split installed in our garage was no easy task since we had to have an extra 50 feet of copper piping and electrical lines installed to connect the two units (interior and exterior units)… This added labor contributed to the lengthy install which came out PERFECTLY! Now, our foster garage (no we don’t park cars in our garage but we do “park” cats 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ in there) is a comfortable 75° despite the 100° outdoor temps that we experience here in AZ during the summer months. The unit is whisper quiet and functions efficiently and effectively. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the IDEAL staff and their work.<br><br>We honestly would recommend them for any A/C install as they are timely, communicative and customer-service oriented. Our mini-split in our sunroom is 18 years old and likely only has a few months/years left before it decides to give up the ghost… I can assure you that we will call upon IDEAL when that times comes!

After making a service appointment online, Ideal Air got back to me within a couple hours to schedule my furnace tune up. 3 days later the Tech. Michael texted me to say he was on his way. He did a great job, explaining what and why he did what he did. No up-selling, not pushy to get me to do more than was needed, couldn't have gone smoother. This small business knows how to treat people!

I recently had Ideal Air Conditioning & Insulation replace my AC system and add ductwork. The installation crew did a fantastic job — they were thorough, professional, and clearly skilled. The new return they installed greatly improved static pressure, and the system now operates much more efficiently. Their pricing was competitive compared to other bids I received, and they offered a strong overall value for the work performed.<br><br>That said, I did run into a few bumps during the process. Coordinating with my home warranty company proved difficult — Ideal did provide diagnostic information, but follow-through on some requests and communication around those requests could have been smoother. On one of my early calls, the person who answered sounded a bit annoyed, and on subsequent calls I’ve occasionally felt like my call might be inconveniencing them. Also, while their website lists “24-hour service,” it’s not obvious that this is meant for emergency situations only, and their standard business hours aren’t made clear online.<br><br>Overall, though, I’m happy with the quality of the installation and the results. I’m confident the improvements will pay off in comfort and performance, and I appreciate the team’s skill and professionalism.

I actually googled Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation as a second bid. I had a Mitsubishi Mini / Split in my 2 car garage in Desert Ridge house. I wanted the same installed in our new house in Cave Creek 2 car garage/ 1 car garage before moving in. My first bid was the company that installed the Mitsubishi, but now wanted to install a Trane Mini/ Split ( was low-balled--extremely low price). Ideal Electric company sent Ryan Tracey ( engineer- efficiency expert ) out to survey garages at the new house. He was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. Later that day we decided to go with Ideal. After signing a contract, we were quickly contacted by their office personnel Elaine Reid. We decided to have Ideal install two 1 ton Mitsubishi Mini/ Splits. Excellent choice and quality ( installed June, 2025). Eric, Mike, and Jamie his team did a great job installing our 1 ton Mitsubishi. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. They installed two wall quality units on June16,2025 at a fair price. Excellent communication before, during, and after installation. Unusual occurrence one Mini /Split remote ( brand new ) did not work effectively. No hassles. They replaced it with a new one and personally delivered it to my house a month later. I would highly recommended Ideal Air Conditioning to anyone needing a new A/C unit.

This company was first to respond of all the "24 hr emergency" companies that really seem to mean "normal business hours". Very professional and quick service. And honest input. My technician CJ was top notch and I would absolutely recommend ideal air and conditioning to anyone looking to solve their a/c issues. After realizing our 20+ yr old split HVAC system was finally starting to fail us and was not worthy of the high repair bill we were quoted we started shopping around for a new unit and eventually met with about 6 different companies for estimates. Ideal Air was one of the first companies we met with due to their exemplary reviews and their rep Ryan came and answered all our questions and laid out the options based on our parameters budget etc. He was very informative and knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of good information and was very accessible through out the process. At no point did we have anyone apply pressure or scare tactics to entice us. After meeting with all the other various reps we ended up going back to Ideal Air as they had the best combination of price and brands that we wanted as well as experience and knowledge, the fact that they are locally owned and run is also a plus. The installers arrived at 0700 on the agreed upon day and were done installing everything around 3p that same day. This crew was professional and efficient and everything was completed as expected and the clean up was thorough. We had some minor issues with the thermostat settings the first couple days but we were able to resolve the matter with a phone call with one of their techs. Their office staff has been responsive and pleasant during all our interactions and I have already recommended them to a couple of acquaintances. We are thrilled with our new AC as the improved comfort level and reduced noise levels are already very apparent.

What a great experience to work with Ideal Air Conditioning. I came home from work and immediately felt the hear from inside the home and my thermostat read 84 degrees in the middle of the day. To my surprise my AC Unit was not working during the hottest day of the year. Ideal Air was great to work with in the past which is why I immediately called them in this instance. Needles to say they were prompt in response and had a technician ( CJ is absolutely the best ) out to my home within literally minutes to address my issue. CJ is extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the issue and had me up and running within an hour of his visit at a very reasonable price. I strongly feel most people would have taken advantage of the moment but CJ and Ideal Air was transparent and fairly priced. I can't thank them enough for the amazing service they have consistently provided me. I highly recommend using them for all of your AC Needs.

I arrived at my home after a 3-day trip to find the temp at 87 and rising because the AC wasn't blowing cold air and it was 116F outside! I got in touch with Ideal Air through Yelp and within 20 mins Matt arrived at my house. He was able to diagnose AMD repair the issue in 30 min and get the house cooling down in quick order. He was very transparent about the state of my AC unit and offered a maintenance plan to keep it top shape. I was very happy with the quick service and resolution. Would happily recommend!

Called Ideal after reading about them on Reddit and it didn’t disappoint. Their tech Nixa arrived and diagnosed the unit very quickly and got us up and running in literally less than 15 minutes. She proceeded to do all kinds of checks and inspections before offering some recommendations and offer us a maintenance plan. I went with some of the recommendations and was very impressed with her professionalism and how well she explained how the unit works and what we need to pay attention to and how to take care of things to extend the life of the equipment. I’m definitely using them from now on.

All of the workers I spoke with were pleasant and informative when answering all the questions I had. The team worked efficiently and finished the project in two days, as they originally quoted. Communications with the main office were always pleasant and easy. Since the work has been completed, I have noticed an immediate improvement in the performance of my home's ability to stay cool, even in the hot 115° AZ weather. The ductwork functions much better now and the airflow feels much stronger than it used to be at the vents.

Ideal Air was recommended to us by a friend who had had several great experiences with them, and they did not disappoint. They did an awesome job for us. We were so impressed with the crew. They worked together so well and had a lovely cooperative and teaching/mentoring mindset. Nothing was a "problem" and no request was too big or too small. The most knowledgeable and friendly technician we have had to evaluate our system. Honest and frank- explaining the costs of repairs, and answering the many questions other technicians could not answer. We had a new air handler (in the attic) and an outside condenser unit installed in April. Installation Team (Joe, Daniel, and Jeremy ) were professional and courteous, and left the house how they found it. No drywall damage, very little paint touch-up required. Unfortunately for them the air handler had a defective bracket which was preventing the unit from starting up. We received a call from a supervisor (Chris) that Friday night, that we would receive a call the next day by 10am. Which we did and Daniel McSwan showed up identified the problem. He explained the situation to us in detail and showed us pictures. He gave us confidence that he could resolve the problem, just needed to check inventory. He went back to the shop and was able to pick up a new bracket. He installed it and we were up and running. I have recommended Ideal Air to my family and friends; I recommend them to you. You really find out about a company when something doesn’t go according to plan, and they really stepped up in a big way. Daniel is one of the most professional trades I’ve met, he really likes what he does. And great quality guy! Also, a shout out to Eileen for following up with us (twice) to ensure we submitted the rebate form in a timely manner. Working with Ideal Air was a pleasure.

Our sales person Ryan was very knowledgeable about HVAC. He explained unit sizes along with static pressure. This showed how important all factors are when choosing a unit and how it will be efficient. Our installer Eric was also extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to his trade. Very professional and hard working. He commanded his crew through start to finish. I’m always observing the installation to ensure things are going as planned and there were no issues. Ideal Air is the real deal! At our initial consultation their comfort expert Ryan spent over an hour at our house listening to our concerns and making a plan. He even crawled around in the attic for quite a bit to see the problems with our insulation and duct work. On the day of the install they had 2 trucks with 4 guys here working all day from 7:30am to 4pm! Before they started any interior work they laid paper and plastic floor protectors everywhere and even covered our kitchen counters and furniture. It was 110 degrees that day and the guys worked very hard in our attic. They even went the extra mile to seal some vents and registers that weren't even on the original scope. I think the job price for all the work they performed was very reasonable too.

Cristian and his crew were amazing! They were here on time and immediately got to work on the project at hand. They removed our old ac unit and installed a new unit in record time. The job also included doing some required duct work and air return reconfiguration. They made certain that they kept the house in prefect condition through the use of floor and furniture covers and they did a bang up job on cleaning before leaving. They also provided us with a portable ac to use in one room while the job was being accomplished. We were very impressed with the crews professionalism and personal demeanor. If we were in the hiring business we wouldn't hesitate to employ any one or all of the crew. In our opinion these guys are very worthy of formal recognition.

Joe and his team did an outstanding job installing our air conditioner unit. Joe and his team were very cordial, polite, attentive and dedicated to their task. Always asking if had any other questions. In preparation of the job, plastic covering was placed over the area they worked protecting our home furnishings as well used shoe protection covers when they came in . Eric and his team did a great job installing our 4 ton Trane unit today. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. They installed a quality unit at a fair price. We knew we wanted a Trane unit but called multiple A/C company's and they came in with not only the best price but also the Trane units we were looking for. The day I called I was just looking to get a phone quote but they wanted to have a efficiency specialist come and do load calculation for free. They sent Marc the next day and he took about an hour to run the numbers and gave us a few quotes for different types of units. He wasn't pushy, and left without us making a decision at the time. Later in the day we decided to go with Ideal Air. After signing the contract we were quickly contacted by Ideal Air to set up the install, they offered to come next day to have it installed before the heat of this up coming week (4/8/25). We were unavailable, but the day we wanted 4/8 they got us scheduled for. I would highly recommended Ideal Air Conditioning to anyone needing a new A/C unit.

Needed a new A/C system and called ideal air conditioning for a quote. They were my 3rd quote, they were the lowest price and Brian was the person to come to my home to give the quote. I went with ideal for the job and they were in constant communication with me prior to the installation. A couple of days prior to the install they sent me a notification that Christian would be coming to my home for the install and that the install would take all day (8:00 am to approx 6:00pm as I had an air conditioner, thermostat and air handler that was located in the attic). Christian and his two peers got to work immediately and everyone of them were professional and polite when I had a quick question regarding the install and when the job was done they cleaned everything up like it was when they arrived. I would highly recommend Ideal Air Conditioning and I will use them again for all my A/C needs.

Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation installed an air conditioner.and insulated the ceiling of our double garage. It is evident the crew knew what they were doing and had done many installations. Ideal installed our Mitsubishi mini-split system. They exceeded our expectations. The installers covered all floors and furniture prior to working. They were on time and payed close attention to detail. They took time to update us periodically with their progress and asked important questions when it came to placement and area needs. Ryan, Alex and Christian. Thank you for helping me with the challenge of cooling down this 1947 home! I went with the recommended and guaranteed comfort; full engineered redesign ductwork and insulation. It was by no means cheap however in this case I definitely got what I paid for. Look at how they protected my personal belongings. I was utterly impressed. More importantly my home is now evenly 72 degrees when I want it to be! Prior to the ductwork being replaced by Ideal Air my master bedroom would be 83+ in the summertime. Guest bedroom would be 72 and laundry room 90+ (no ventilation). I would receive an alert from my thermostat daily, “Something is wrong. The HVAC is calling for cooling and the temperature of your home has increased 4+ degrees. If you have an older home, and your just as uncomfortable in the summertime as I was, call Ideal Air. They will guarantee your comfort! Recommend 100% Cristian (installer) was extremely professional and communicative. Although expensive, well worth it.
