Another good day with Desert Diamond Air!! We have been having our central A/C taken care of by this company for years now and it is always the same, AWESOME! They have some of the nicest service people and the office people are just as kind and polite. This year we had Phillip. He was prompt, informative and all around excellent. We HIGHLY recommend their service contracts which save you money and also provides prompt service.

Attic space inspection - insulation and air distribution system. Very knowledgeable and detailed. Definitely recommend.

My first impression of Desert Diamond was extremely disappointing. While trying to schedule an appointment, I could clearly hear employees using profanity in the background of the phone call. This immediately raised concerns about professionalism.<br>When I asked to speak with a manager to address what I heard, my concern was completely dismissed. I was told that I “must have misheard,” which came across as condescending and disrespectful, as if my concern wasn’t worth taking seriously. Rather than acknowledging the issue or even attempting to listen, I was brushed off entirely.<br>Customer service is often a reflection of a company’s standards, and based on this interaction alone, I chose not to move forward. I expect basic professionalism and respect, especially when contacting a service company for the first time.

My Service Tech was Dominick. He was fantastic. Knowledgeable and courtesy explaining everything to me. Very good experience.

Arturo did a great job of eplaining what the issue was and the corrective action that was required. He also thoroughly explained the best way to operate the system for both heating and cooling. A real pleasure to work with.

I had Tyler out to give me an estimate to re-insulate my attic. Tyler showed up on-time, was very thorough and presented me with several options at different price points. Ultimately, I went with another company that was slightly cheaper for the same scope of work and with whom I've had previous experience. That said, I would not hesitate to call Desert Diamond again in the future because of their communication, ease of doing business and professionalism.

Excellent service as usual for the past 10 yrs from Desert Diamond Mechanical. They installed our TraneXV 10 years ago. Seasonal maintenance is performed twice a year and Arturo just preformed our winter maintenance. Pricing for maintenance service is fairly priced and the excellent service have kept our system running smoothly especially during the long hot summers here in Arizona. I highly recommend Desert Diamond, mechanical.

The crew that came to install my mini-split heatpump on a new studio I am building on my property arrived on time and went to work almost immediately. I really appreciated that they asked for my input on various aspects of the install. They were very polite and respectful. They completed the work very efficiently and left the job site spotless. I have had Desert Diamond do other things for me in the past. The prices are great and they do very good work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs AC work or new installs. Great job!

Desert Diamond replaced two 5-ton AC units for us this week and from start to finish they were straightforward, knowledgeable and efficient. The sales rep Tyler answered all of my questions clearly and took his time explaining his answers. He responded quickly along the way and was a pleasure to work with. The crew on install day were friendly, efficient and did a great job cleaning up after their work. We got four quotes before deciding who to go with and I'm glad we went with them.

I was very pleased with Daniel as he kept me informed of what he was going to do while servicing my unit. He did such a good job with the inspection of the unit and cleaning it for me. I had an ongoing issue with rodents getting into the side panel despite good efforts on my part with chicken wire, steel wool, glue traps and so on. Needless to say one of them got caught in the unit and Daniel cleaned everything up. He was just great and did such a good job. I now have a pest control service helping so as not to have unit go out from rats eating the yellow wire one more time. I was told by pest control they love areas where they can hide and not get caught by prey and my unit served well. Hope this helps someone else going through similar trouble. My AC unit is a ground unit. Thanks again Daniel.

Repair tech said $670 to replace a common capacitor. A ten minute operation and $20 part to fix. I paid the minimum $90 fee to diagnose and declined the extremely overpriced service. Ordered two capacitors online for less than $40 and now I have a cheap back up ac works and the part arrived overnight and took ten min to install. That is how they make a living scamming people in need and don't have the hands on to do it themselves! Unbelievable way to do business!

No one ever wants to have major problems with their HVAC system. First you have to deal with a hot or cold house. Then it’s always going to cost more than you expect and this time was no different.<br><br>That said Desert Diamond offered up great service with knowledgeable staff. From the first repair man that came out through installation of a new top of the line Variable?? (Forget what it’s called) speed HVAC unit.<br><br>They offered 4 options and I started off with the lowest cost option as what I thought I would choose but the cost on all options was higher than I expected so I called in a second company to compare prices, to my surprise that second company was even higher priced.<br><br>I decided to do some additional research and again to my surprise my research of several resources online yielded that the prices were right in line with what I should expect to replace the units they offered.<br><br>As I was doing my review I learned more about the variable speed solution with a longer warranty and lower operating cost due to the lower speed options utilizing less electricity. Being more efficient I decided to go that route.<br><br>I can’t really speak to performance of the unit yet as it was just installed yesterday but I can say that during all steps of the process Desert Diamond has been honest, reliable and professional and I am comfortable recommending them.<br><br>If I can remember I’ll get on here next year and add more on the actual unit I choose. Hope this is helpful.

I would give 5 stars for showing up quickly to the job.<br><br>Zero starts for honesty and cost. I did not realize how much I was going to be taken advantage of until another company did everything for a portion of the cost. I was told I did not have a gate valve and this was necessary to be installed for $700, however with ease I found the gate valve myself and asked the second plumber if that was in fact the gate valve which he agreed and said this was working perfectly.<br>With zero assessment of a recirculation pump I was told that it did not work at all, which the second plumber checked out and said that it was working just fine and reconnected it.<br>The cost of the water heater was $1000 more than I paid for all of the same equipment and install/take away.<br>Just do your research when using any company.

Wonderful experience with Desert Diamond from the very friendly office staff to our technician Eric. Eric was very knowledgeable. He explained everything thoroughly to my husband & I. When installing the new coil he would periodically grab my husband to show him what the old one looked like and the work he was doing, which was really nice. He cleaned everything up really well. Tyler refused to honor the estimate I was given four mos ago for various reasons including bad mouthing another employee and bcz I wasn’t going to buy and have installed insulation. I suspect the job was too small for them. It was a 1k job (without the insulation) on invoice and he told me it would be over 2k. My impression is this company is in financial trouble and needs to hike up prices. Best wishes to them but I wouldn’t recommend.

Tyler refused to honor the invoice price bcz it had been 4 mos instead of 1 month. He gave me a range of reasons including bad mouthing the employee who gave me the estimate. That’s a internal problem not mine. Also bcz I didn’t want to buy and have the insulation installed.<br>It was a 1k job that he wanted to increase the price to 2k. Completely unprofessional and bad business model. Maybe the job was too small for him. Felt like he was just trying to make money off me. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Desert Diamond installed a new package heat pump and modified some duct work. Aaron did a great job explaining what needed to be fixed and checked on his guys during and after install. Could tell right away it made a big difference from old unit and the existing not-so-great duct work. One bedroom furthest from the unit was a little warmer than the rest of the house and Aaron came out to make adjustments. Feels great now and hoping it stays that way!

Desert Diamond installed a new unit in my home a couple years ago. Great service, until recently, that's when it went all downhill. The D.D. Tech came out and did a free service call and did a "check up". We were told everything was fine but notice that our unit was off line and we started to have a connection issue with my thermostat to my wifi. We called back and advised of the issue and unfortunately the tech that came out didnt have the experience to address the problem other than advising that we needed a new thermostat priced at $450 plus labor. The tech was polite but lacked the technical ability ( this is what the told told us ) and that we would need call on Monday to request a Senior Tech. Despite not having the ability to address the matter, he asked for payment? Huh...you didnt have the technical experience to solve the problem! We contacted TRANE directly and a technician resolved the matter in less than an hour. I called the manager to express my frustration over the service call fee and Dakota ( presume service mgr) was trying to be nice, but I could tell he checked out of the conversation as soon as started. He apologized and wished me the best. He said had we ordered the thermostat with him, and it didnt work they'd warranty the part and it would of cost me nothing. Right.....If you send a tech out and they lack the experience to do the job we still want to charge me but all would of been good if I just ordered the overpriced thermostat. The tech that came out should of stopped what he was doing and leave and get someone that does know what they are doing verses missing around trying to fix something her knee nothing about and then charge the client each time they send out some tech out that has no clue what he is doing and never solving the problem. Shame.on you Desert Diamond.

My husband called to desert Diamond air cooling and heating, because our Ac didn’t work properly, they come out to check and explains what’s wrong with our Ac unit, we have 3 other people came out before and each one was different.I would say not honest like Desert Diamonds, we decided to change the AC unit because was 19 years old and we got the new one.today we have Tyler working on it , they came early morning worked so hard to finish in time because our grandkids were coming in town at 6 pm .they finished early Tyler it’s hands down very knowledgeable and professional, very good communication ! Paul has pride in his work, and it shows. He took time to consider my problem thoroughly, both checking the area I saw leaking water and considering more than just that one spot. He asked questions, listened to my answers and answered my questions as well. What I found unique is that he didn't mind my looking over his shoulder. It's rare to find that in most repair guys. If you've dealt with Desert Diamond as we have for over10 years, you know their crew has a special approach to their work. Well, Paul has that and fits right in with what I've come to expect from DD. He will be my go-to plumber from now on.

Our AC went out in the middle of one of the worst Arizona summers and Desert Diamond came out same day for diagnostics and immediately the next day for repair. Things were going really well until we got to pricing. The technician was definitely knowledgeable and made great recommendations. When I asked him to honor a coupon they had on their website, the tone posture became hostile, I was told to take it or leave it, and unfortunately, nothing was resolved after speaking to their service manager, Joseph. Any reasonable person would look at the coupon on their specials page, with a coupon perforation border printed on, and assume it’s a special they are running. If this isn’t bait and switch, what is?

Desert Diamond were quick with response when my AC went out and needed to be replaced. After getting other quotes,they were the best option . Tyler, their consultant,was able to answer all questions and helped make the process easy for a quick installation.

This is by far the best company here in Arizona if you need your AC fixed or a new unit, they are knowledgeable experience, and most of all honest they are not out here scamming at all like a lot of other companies we have dealt with bad companies we hired them and they came out very quickly. They quoted us 1k for parts that didn't need replacing. They initially charged us for vent cleaning, didn't finish the job for the dryer vent and had to send their crew out 3 times to do a lackluster job and claimed their technology could not get it done so my 70 year old dad got on our roof and used a leaf blower and removed the blockage himself! They refuse to cancel the "subscription" I am being charged for. I've called 3 times now. Predatory!

Requested for some dampeners/air balance due to issue from an install with a different company. The technician Aaron Hoberg came out to inspect and fixed my issue right away. He was transparent and gave me the best solution not just the most expensive one and the solution without a dampener worked great! My AC stopped working in the middle of a heatwave and I was panicking. Called this HVAC company and they got someone out the same day. The tech was friendly and found the problem fast. It was a bad capacitor and he had the part in his van. Took maybe 40 minutes and cool air was flowing again. He even cleaned the unit while he was at it. I liked that he explained everything and didn’t try to sell me stuff I didn’t need. Only thing I wish is they had earlier appointment times but they showed up when they said they would. Price was fair and way less than I thought it would be. I’m saving their number in case the heater gives me trouble this winter. Honest and reliable company that gets the job done without playing games.

Steve at Desert Diamond provided excellent education on our options with a very fair price. We ordered on Monday at 5pm and had it installed on Wednesday! The installers worked very hard in the heat and got it done! Then, 5 days later a tech - Mario- came back to verify everything was working properly and spent an hour on a very thorough post inspection. I’m impressed and happy!!

Technician Sam was very professional as well as friendly. After thoroughly inspecting my ac he explained everything that was going on now and also what I needed to do to extend the longevity of the unit. I was very happy with the experience and would highly recommend Desert Diamond Air.

Feels a little pricey. But probably good service is pricey. Called in June at 5pm, they were there in 4hrs, ready to repair. As a plus, they actually answer their phones, unlike a lot of other companies. No complaints other than pricing. $1179.55 (member price) for an ECM fan motor replacement for reference.

(Updated review 6/15/25) Desert Diamond has continued to exceed expectations. I recently had my old A/C unit go out and called them immediately. They had someone come out for inspection same day, Steve, who got me a quote with a very reasonable price and got that sucker installed the very next day. For our convenience they even provided a portable A/C unit to hold us over a day! Always professional and friendly and haven't had any issues with the emergency line. Definitively earned that star back from last year.

Ismael was great. He immediately identified an issue with our vents and was able to resolve it that same day in under an hour. I would highly recommend Desert Diamond and will use them again in the future.

I think Desert Diamond is the best in the valley! They are quick to respond, service techs are amazing and friendly. If they don't have a solution while on site, they reach out to others and find a solution. Communication is very clear and concise. Highly recommend!

This review is LONG overdue. In late 2023, Desert Diamond was one of several outfits that I had come out and bid me a quote to replace two 27-year-old Trane units (original to the home). Tyler came out and recommended I consider one step below the top tier units I was considering - that alone was enough to confirm Desert Diamond's integrity. When most companies would have jumped on the opportunity to sell a pair of the latest and greatest units, Tyler explained how and why (for my particular situation) I wouldn't reap any significant advantage by spending the extra cash. That alone should have let me know to cancel the other companies I had lined up to come out and give me quotes (which BTW, all the companies I had come out were top-rated HVAC companies via Google and Yelp). But in order to confirm the quote I received was solid, I kept the other appointments. Turns out not only could the other companies not match Desert Diamond's quote, but they came in significantly higher. Their integrity (or lack thereof) came through as well, making comments such as: "you need to be cautious... they're probably selling you 'scratch and dent' models", "the workmanship is going to suffer", etc. Desert Diamond's reviews are so established that I didn't pay any heed to any of that and decided to move forward... and I'm so glad I did. I came to understand that Desert Diamond's business model to focus on the quality of their work and not focus on expanding the business via a massive fleet of trucks and overhead - the cost of which gets passed over to the customer - is what enables them to beat out the competition.<br><br>Fast forward to the install day, it was GREAT. Summer of 2024 was the units' first "test run" and they worked flawlessly - I absolutely love my Trane variable speed ACs.<br><br>Just yesterday, I had Desert Diamond perform a tune-up on them to ensure they're in tip-top shape and ready for the encroaching summer. Phillip came out - he's another great example of this company's commitment to integrity and excellence. He explains everything he's doing thoroughly and makes sure he doesn't leave without ensuring all your questions and concerns are addressed. I spent some time to research which product I would like to buy and from who.<br>Steve is open to discuss my concerns and options, well understood it is not a small shopping for his customers.<br><br>While a lot of companies, warranty plan isn’t optional but this company’s is.<br>Considering the economy these days, buying extended warranty should be a great idea however having options in customer’s hands is equally important.<br><br>Keep up your great work.

Awesome company with great people!<br><br>I called around to get quoted for air duct cleaning on our new house and Desert Diamond was top rated. I spoke with Jeff initially, and he assisted in scheduling and explained the duct cleaning process thoroughly.<br><br>Adrian and Steven were our techs and they were diligent, heard working, professional, and knowledgable. I couldn't have asked for a better service. The only feedback I have for the company is to provide a better vacuum for clean-up so that the guys don't have to hunch over for a long time to vacuum debris off the floor :).

The AC technician from Desert Diamond arrived on time and did a very thorough job checking out my air conditioner. He explained in detail all the things he looked at and provided a helpful report for my records. Definitely recommend based on this experience!

Excellent duct cleaning work preceded the installation of a full 2 stage system which proved to be effective and very quiet in operation. Notable help during its installation was provided by Tyler our 'point person, Leroy, and Arturo. Desert Diamond Air just installed a heat pump to our property. We were referred to and spoke with Joseph who was so friendly, helpful, caring and we totally trusted to move forward. The person (Tyler) who came out was awesome!! He assessed our issue, explained everything so well and was super knowledgeable about the problems we had. He went over and above to help with our APS bills, etc. We had what we felt was the dream team to do our install. They were fast, efficient, helped us understand our new equipment and cleaned everything to perfection before they<br>left our home. If we could give them 100 stars we would!!! They were the best experience we could have hoped for!<br>We have two units for our home and we’ll be replacing the other within the next couple months and will only use Diamond Air and the Diakon units they sell to cool/heat our home.<br>They are GREAT!!!! Steve was very thorough evaluating current HVAC system. Did a great job presenting options to replace current system. He was honest, well-informed, and very pleasant to speak with. He answered all our questions and would recommend doing business with his company.

Just had Ismael out here to do a tuneup. Great tech, very personable and professional. Explained everything in great detail and what I need to do to help my 18 year old unit until we can get a new one.<br><br>Tyler also came out to look at the ductwork and again very personable and professional. The house is an older home with previous owners doing many very “interesting” things to it throughout the years. Desert Diamond installed a Mini Split AC Heat pump system in our Casita yesterday. We cannot be more pleased with their service from consulting, sale, scheduling and install. The install technicians were professional and fast. They covered the furniture, TV and appliances. They spent time with me to review their work and left the space clean. Tyler the consultant/sales person from DD was very helpful providing all the options, features and pricing. We ordered a Energy Star approved system with available tax credits which helped with the cost. A great experience with the Desert Diamond and their people.

We had a great experience with Desert Diamond. The tech Daniel was very courteous and professional. I could tell he knew what he was doing. A thorough inspection was performed and a detailed report with plenty of pictures was provided so we could understand what was checked and any potential issues. I’m very impressed with the overall quality of service. We’ll definitely continue to use this company going forward and highly recommend to others.

Desert Diamond is amazing. We have used Desert Diamond many times at multiple homes and have always had a great experience. They are hard working, thorough and transparent in explaining what the issue is and how to fix it. Most recently, they were able to get to us within an hour of calling on a Sunday morning. Our technician, Daniel, was very polite and courteous. He did a complete diagnostics work-up within an hour of arrival and determined our thermostat faceplate was faulty. He had a similar plate in his van, but we declined and bought our own at Home Depot. Even after not purchasing the plate from them, his manager helped us configure it over the phone so as to not have to charge us another hour of work for Daniel to come out again. Not many companies would have such great customer service. Would recommend Desert Diamond to all my friend and family.

Daniel was on time and told us exactly what the issue was with our unit. He gave us alternative solutions and when we wanted to make an appointment he made it for us for that day. Can’t say enough great things about Desert Diamond Air. Our ancient AC unit finally died last week. Steve came out and went over our options, explained to us the process, and gave us a timeline on how long the new installation would take. It was relief to work with such an honest guy and company when making a large purchase. The installation went exactly as Steve had explained. The installers, Josh and Estavon, did an excellent job and left the area they worked on looking better than when they arrived! Our new unit is working perfectly and so much more efficiently than our old one. Desert Diamond Air is THE BEST!!!

Had Daniel Mendoza come out for my third system checkout. He is very courteous and professional and went right to work after I showed him where all our zone thermostats were. He did an excellent job and is a great asset for the Desert Diamond team.<br>Also when I had my AC and furnace units replaced in Nov 2022 with new Trane equipment I had a excellent installation team of Alex and Marten. Both of them were very professional and courteous to us and went right to work on the project. Overall they did great. They were not the cheapest but I was not looking for the cheapest. I wanted integrated WFI with High seer ratings and I got a 12 year parts warranty with one year labor. They were the company that listen to what I was wanting and did the work to get me what I wanted.

Dakota was awesome. Got my mini split sealed up and full of r410a in about 2 hours. He went through and re-flared the lines, vacuumed tested and no leaks. He was professional, on time, (got here 30 mins after calling to make an appointment). I know it takes about 2 weeks for my system to leak all the Freon, so only time will tell. But all his tests showed it was not leaking at all. 💪🏼 I’m very pleased. Btw, this was not a normal type job. It was on my ice cream truck and the company didn’t bat an eye about working on a vehicle. Great job Desert Diamond.

After signing up with DD for annual service on our old HVAC systems, we eventually had two new units installed and we are very happy with Desert Diamond! They are very friendly and professional. They service our units twice a year and we’ve never had any hassles. I definitely suggest getting on their maintenance contract plan! You are a priority especially in the summer months when things can get very squarely and uncomfortable!!

It began in January 2018. I got a crazy idea to move our kitchen to give us an open floor plan. Our home is a John F Long home built in 1977. It was a very difficult task to find a competent HVAC company to do the difficult re-engineering of our system. I finally found Desert Diamond Mechanical. They had to move intake and take supply to wall not an easy task to engineer or install, but they came through and knocked it out of the ball park!! I had the pleasure of working with Rocky at the onset- On to Ben to determine if design would work properly, then onto the crew that helped Ben with install- David, Frank, Austin, and Wade. It went very smoothly and works fabulously.
