Juan is an honest man. My roof had a small leak and I worried about damage to my insulation, so I scheduled a free estimate today with him. And after inspection, he told me that my insulation is good and there is no need to do any work with the insulation. Juan and his crew at American Attic did excellent, thorough, thoughtful work for us — getting rid of the rats in the attic, cleaning and sanitizing it, rat-proofing the entire house, and installing insulation in the attic. We were very impressed by their carefulness and attention to detail. And their price was much more reasonable than the other quotes we got. Excellent work at a very reasonable price — we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend American Attic for your insulation and rodent control needs. To go into detail, they started by building a tunnel of plastic sheeting from the outside to the attic, to prevent dust and insulation fibers from getting into the house, and laid plastic sheeting over everything next to the tunnel. Their work was quite clean so this hardly seemed necessary, but we appreciated how careful they were. Then they spent hours thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the attic. The noise drove out the rats, and they sealed or screened off every opening into the attic to prevent them from getting back in. The vents into the crawl space under the house already had 50-year-old screening over them, but they covered them with new screening. They discovered several other possible points of entry, which they sealed or screened off. It seemed impossible for anything to get into the house, but they left traps in the attic and the crawl space just in case. When Juan inspected a week later, there was no trace of rodents, but he urged us to get in touch right away if we ever saw anything. Any follow-up work, if needed, is complimentary for a year. They also installed much-needed insulation the attic. Part of it had been covered with boards nailed to the rafters; they took them up (and replaced them) so they could put insulation under them. Again, it showed how thorough they were. In short, American Attic did a superb job at a very reasonable price, and we very much appreciate it.

Great experience! Juan , the owner, came initially for the estimate for the cleaning of the crawl space. We set the date and Alfedo with 2 helpers showed up on time and finished the cleaning job (including sealing rat holes) as agreed to in 2 days. We decided to go forward with the insulation and vapor block sheeting and again excellent service! They were pleasant and on time and did a great job. The price was competitive but well worth the expense. Again Juan was very nice and was prompt with estimates and explained everything that they would do! I would highly recommend them and this company.

Great service and great work. Juan and his team did a great job under my house in the tight crawlspace. It was rat infested. The ducts and insulation were totally soiled and ripped to pieces. Juan, the owner of American Attic, came promptly to give an estimate for a large attic insulation job in a Victorian house, and was completely knowledgeable about his R values and air venting, etc. his estimate came IN promptly too, and was very easy to read. Of all the estimates for the big, odd space I have, his Estimates were the most on target, and his company was the one I would’ve chosen. I highly recommend American Attic nonetheless, and plan to keep them on file when the attic gets a bit better developed.

One day I saw this really cute baby mice in my house, and started to understand how Disney must have felt to get his empire started. However, after seeing more, bigger and meaner looking mices, hearing them running in my attic, I know it's time for professional help. My wife consulted with friends who had similar services 5 years ago, and added urgency to the case: better do it now than waiting since summer hot weather only makes the smell worse. After interviewing a few vendors, we went with American Attic, and was pleased with their professional conduct, especially helping manner during ongoing interactions. Recommend any one with Roden issue to purse this solution with American Attic.

American Attic was on time, covered the area where the access door is, worked as a team, answered my questions, and left the area as clean as it was before starting the job.

I do not normally write reviews but for this recent job I feel I've got to do it. American Attic Insulation was simply tremendous. My daughter had her crawl space under her house cleaned out, sealed from rodents, and lined with white heavy duty plastic. The workmanship was fantastic, 4 guys for two full days and I haven't seen complete, thorough work like this in a long time. I then had the company clean out the old insulation from my home's attic, seal all ductwork and vent openings, place new insulation and seal it all with white plastic, and clean out all ducts with a 14' spinning light brush and high powered vacuum. The work was again beautiful with photos at every step. An example of the attention to detail is each 2x4 post in the attic (there must be 80 or more) were individually wrapped in white tape completely sealing around each. The attic is clean and (hard to imagine for an attic) beautiful with the insulation completely sealed beneath the plastic. 4 guys for 2 full days, and they stayed late (until 6:30pm and then 7pm) not cutting corners on any parts of the project. Reasonably priced, I recommend American Attic to my family and friends, ...this will be one of the best purchases you ever make.

Very pleased with the outcome of my contracting with this company. First, they were thousands less than two other companies. From the owner/estimater to the three workers who did the work, they were all courteous and professional. They removed the old fiberglass and loose cellulose insulation, sealed up attic and crawlspace, and installed new fiberglass insulation in one long day of hard work. They protected interior spaces from debris so completely that I didn’t even have to vacuum the floor after they left. I highly recommend American Attic for their excellent work.

From the estimate to picking up the last bit of debris Juan, Alfredo and crew were hard working and professional. About a year and a half ago I found American Attic and they cleaned my crawl space and installed a vapor barrier. This year was time for a new roof which created a big mess in the attic. I called Juan and in less than 5 days he and his crew basically gave me a “new” attic complete with insulation. I’m very impressed and would highly recommend them!

I got our attic insulation replaced with American Attic. Juan promptly came in for inspection, identified rat infestation issue, found the entry points and recommended solutions for it. He was flexible and his team worked around our availability. They sealed, sanitized, replaced all the insulation. Juan Santos and his team did an amazing job installing 2 sump pumps and a vapor barrier in our crawlspace for a fair and reasonable price. This was to minimize water accumulating in our crawlspace and prevent evaporation into the house. After his install, we noticed a marked improvement in the humidity levels. We were experiencing huge temperature swings in the upstairs rooms of our split-level home and contacted American Attic for an insulation quote because of the good yelp reviews. Juan responded promptly and provided the inspection. He was very professional and immediately pointed out the insulation issues in the attic and explained how they were contributing to our problem. He provided a quote very quickly. Juan was patient but diligent in following up as we also solicited other estimates, and he worked with us to revise the scope of work and quote accordingly. Fabulous. Professional in all aspects. We wanted to moisture proof our crawl space. And we had a rodent issue. Other 'vapor barrier' companies, with long wait times just to get an estimate, don't offer rodent proofing. Those companies suggested we deal with the rodents first. Juan was very responsive, came out, and explained clearly what they will do (rodent proof the entire house including the attic and place vapor barrier) and how they will do it. I was very pleased with the service from American Attic. The owner inspected our crawl space and proposed to clean it thoroughly, insulate the pipes, check for and repair leaks in the air ducts and vent our dryer to the outside of the house. The company was able to send three men out within the week and they completed these services very efficiently. I am relieved that we no longer have a fire hazard from the build-up of lint from our dryer, and I have already noticed that the air conditioning is functioning better, thanks to the insulation.

I was looking for a solution to clean my crawl space, deal with pests, and replace insulation in my attic. The team cleaned the debris and junk out of the the attic and crawl space with a crew of 5 people. They also replaced insulation in about six hours. Juan was prompt to make sure that the job was completed and provided a competitive quote during the process. American Attic was able to service my house within a week of providing an estimate. They did not develop the estimate to sell a particular service but that Juan looked at my situation and developed the estimate the problems at hand.

American Attic was professional in regards to the work performed, their communication to us about what was being done and when, and their pricing was very fair. Short version is that our older single story home is now warmer in the winter where I was consistently running our furnace and dehumidifiers. Now thanks to the work done by American Attic, our heater goes off a lot less and the home feels more comfortable throughout the day. We had blown in insulation done in our attic and had insulation batts and vapor barrier installed in our crawl space after we saw them working on a neighbors' property. After speaking with our neighbor, we decided to ask them for an estimate. The owner, Juan, came by and spoke with us personally. He inspected the property and the job and explained what was needed for the job and gave a detailed invoice for the estimate. On top of the insulation and vapor barrier, we got two sub pumps installed as we live on a hill and their was excess water in our crawlspace. I was very impressed with their concern about the level of cleanliness while they were working and after they left. What also impressed me about American Attic was Juan. After the first day when they installed the sub pump, I informed Juan that I had spoken to our neighbor about their exit valve and how they wished that they had chosen something different. Even though my neighbor's job was technically done, and American Attic was paid, Juan made a point to go speak with that neighbor to insure that they were happy. Juan and his team fixed the issue that the neighbor had even though it was the neighbors' choice to have the exit valve positioned where they had it. This showed me a lot about his concern for a customers' level of satisfaction and also the pride he had his his company's work. American Attic also took care of rodent proofing our crawlspace and attic as part of their service. I highly recommend that you speak with American Attic if you are looking for a similar service. Excellent experience! I got the crawlspace clean up, airduct replacement and rodent proof The contractors arrived on time. They are professional and worked efficiently. They would go above and beyond to take care of our home. They helped us replace the ugly foamy insulation of one of the airducts in the garage with the nice shiny insulation for free (we didn't even have to ask) Crawlspace was clean and fresh. The mice situation has got much better. No more dropping. Juan come out and check the traps for us on schedule. We are absolutely pleased with the service! Price point: I have got quotes from 5 different companies. American Attic gives us the best quote. They are excellent with their communication. The service quality is top notch!

We have rodent problem in our attic and have Juan Santos of American Attic to clean/replace the insulation. The 2 guys he sent to do the job spent 4-5 hours and showed me the photos after they finished the job. I watched them to do the outside roof rodent proof. They are very meticulous in checking out holes under the roof eaves, then put metal meshes to guard against rodents going in. I am satisfied with the difficult "dirty work" performed. When I climbed up to the attic to double check, I saw an area with "looks old" insulation as they looked covered with dark dust. I took photos then sent to Juan as a complaint the job is incomplete. You can only tell if a company offers great services when you have complaints. Well, Juan responded quickly with both phone calls and emails to calm me down. He told me his staff did replace the whole attic with new insulation material which is pink in color. The old insulation took down from my attic are yellow in color. The photos I took may not tell the truth. He promised he will come to do the inspection with me in a couple of days. When he showed up, he climbed to the "dirty old insulation" area. He lit up the area with his cell phone and headlight while I was on the ladder looking. With enough lighting, those dirty old insulations are actually clean and new. So smart phones photos can be deceptive when there is not enough lightings. I apologize to Juan immediately and thank him for his patience and responsiveness. We had a mouse/rat problem so we called Juan to help rodent proof our house. Juan was very friendly and professional. He first went around our house with us and let us know what he was going to do. Showed us what needed to be fixed and explained why it needed to be fixed. He also saw another issue that we were having fixed and let us know what to expect/ask from the company that was going to fix it. Once the preliminary inspection was done, he provided us with an estimate and date when he would come. He came promptly on time and was done in a quick/efficient manner. He let us inspect the work and cleaned up afterwards. Last year we had rodent issue inside our attic and the HVAC didn't seem to work well either. However, after replacing the attic insulation and rodent proofing, it made tremendous difference in the functioning of the HVAC system as well. However, a rodent found its way in to the attic again after almost a year later. When contacted Juan, Juan responded to my call instantly and in spite of his busy schedule Juan came the very next day and inspected and took care of the rodent's new entry points and advised us on what measures to take in rodent prevention. We needed a moisture barrier for our crawlspace and reached out to American attic to address. Juan, the owner, was very responsive and came out that same day to inspect the space. He took extensive measurements and was very thorough in his explanation of what was needed, and got us a quote on the very same day. The turnaround time was impressive. His team was able to come out within a week of the quote and get everything sealed off. His team was on time and very professional. They covered up some extra exposed area directly under our porch that didn't necessarily require a barrier and wasn't included in the quote, but when I expressed some discomfort, Juan came out and inspected and while he assured me it wouldn't need a barrier, he still had his team seal it up anyway at no extra cost, just to ensure my comfort. Additionally, they went out of their way to remove and replace some of the insulation that was falling apart under there. They cleaned up behind themselves and hauled away any bulky debris. Overall, I had a great experience with them, and they have my highest recommendation.

We recently bought a house and the inspection showed some a rodent issue in the attic and the air ducts where getting rust (attaching some photos to show how it looked when we received the house). These guys were great, very efficient and precise. We had an attic that was covered in roofing debris (wood chips, nails, extra shingles, e.t.c)from when the previous owners had the roof fixed and not cleaned up after. The team was able to clear all of it out, and lay out new insulation quickly. The team was awesome. At each stage the foreman showed us the progress they had made, and the end result was a extremely clean attic that is well insulated. We really appreciated Juan Santos coming out quickly for the initial assessment, and throwing in some needed critter proofing at no additional cost.

Juan (owner) came out for an estimate and was punctual and polite. He explained the process and what they would do. I had about 6-7 other companies give bids and his came out as one of the most competitive for a attic cleanup, removal of existing insulation (with debris, rat droppings etc), air sealing, rodent proofing and new R38 batt insulation. His crew did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, and the finished product looked great. They also gave a 2 yr warranty on the rodent proofing. I do need to point out that there was an issue with our electrical (several lights didn't work afterwards). Juan was very professional, took ownership and responsibility, brought an electrician over to fix it promptly (on his dime), and got the problem fixed. He was able to take pictures of the electrical fix which I sent to my electrician who said the job was done properly. Things inevitably happen during a job and how that is handled probably tells more than even just a job going well. I appreciate Juan and American Attic's willingness to take responsibility and get the problem fixed.

Juan and crew did a great job. Super professional, maintained a clean environment, very efficient and very effective. Since the instillation the house has felt more comfortable and clean (he put in insulation in the attic and crawl space) and we have had no rodent issues (there was a little guy hanging out upstairs). Juan came to our house to assess our attic to see if it could be made more energy efficient and to see if ventilation could be improved. He was very courteous and professional. Although he couldn't help us due to the very small size of the space,he did the recommend installing some attic fans. To his credit he also suggested that they could be installed by someone else at a fraction of the cost that he would charge. I appreciate that honesty.

I can’t say enough about Juan and his team. Juan was very professional when he first showed up to our house and gave us a quote.
