Update on the I sent email over a week when I got a response on the review but no response I guess they had to make it like they wanted to save face this company is a scam. Also if you take the time and investigate some of their so called 5 star reviews it doesn't take long to find out it's either a employee or a bot if a company has to use pathetic tactics like this it shows you who they are. **One star. Roscoe Brown contradicted the first diagnosis, took $1,900, didn’t fix the problem, and never apologized. I have video and call recordings to prove every word.** **Context:** Hiller Heating & Plumbing initially told me my sewer line was **collapsed** and I’d need a **repipe**. I brought in **Roscoe Brown** for a second opinion. They insisted it was **just a clog**, cleared it (~$500), and said I didn’t need a repipe. That turned out to be **wrong**. Months later the same backup returned. Roscoe Brown gave me three options and **recommended Option #2: $1,900 to “fix the problem”** by installing an exterior cleanout. I accepted **only because they promised $1,900 would fix it.** What happened: * Techs showed up, stood around a lot, brought a long piece of PEX and a couple 3" 90s that were **never used** (all on 24/7 cameras). * At the door they tried to bill **$1,997** despite the flat **$1,900** quote recorded on speakerphone. They took $1,900 after I pushed back. * **Same day**, running the washer caused the **exact same discharge outside**—so the “fix” didn’t fix anything. * I called that afternoon. No one came. The next day they finally sent someone **at 9pm Friday** who said he didn’t have a cap. I waited **through the weekend.** * When they returned, they suddenly said **“your line is collapsed—needs a repipe,”** and their estimator even suggested I go take another company’s ~$2,400 repipe because it was a “great deal.” So let’s be clear: **Hiller’s repipe call was right from the start.** Roscoe Brown told me I didn’t need it, then **took $1,900** on a promise to fix the problem, **failed**, pivoted back to **“collapsed—needs repipe,”** and **never once apologized.** Their refund offer was **under 18%** of what I paid. I have **full video** of the site work and **recorded calls** of the $1,900 promise and the sequence of events. **Day or night, I can show proof** to anyone who asks—no spin, just receipts. **My recommendation:** If you want an accurate diagnosis, a written scope that actually addresses your complaint, and accountability when work fails, **look elsewhere.** I would not hire Roscoe Brown again. **Follow up** responds to you yeah you offer 3 options and I pick the middle one which was supposed to fix my problem but never did you huys did not even diagnose that problem correctly but just made assumptions maybe if someone would have actually inspected the problem instead of trying to pitch me more quotes after I paid you to fix the problem that you did nothing about hey we didn't do what we were supposed to do but here's another quote we promise if you pay a third time it will get done. I’m disappointed to be updating my previous 5-star review. Roscoe Brown had been our go-to for heating and cooling, and our regular technician, Nathan D., has always been fantastic. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and someone we’ve trusted for years. If this were just about him and his expertise, I’d still give him 5 stars. But during a visit a few months ago when Nathan wasn’t available, a different technician came out to fix a fan blade that had fallen off. The repair was poorly done. The blade wasn’t secured properly, which ended up bending the fan and damaging the motor. What should have been a simple fix turned into a much more serious issue because of careless work. Something we found out today when another technician came in to assess. What made things worse was the customer service. When we called to explain the problem, the schedulers didn’t seem to care at all. No apology, no urgency, no effort to make things right. When your A/C isn’t working in 80-degree weather, being told you’ll have to wait until the next day is unacceptable. We ended up calling Donelson Air, and they had someone at our house within the hour. That kind of responsiveness and customer care made a big difference. While we appreciate the work Nathan has done in the past, this recent experience has changed our view of Roscoe Brown as a company. We will no longer use them from here on out since there service seems to be a hit or miss. There needs to be more consistency across the board in both workmanship and customer service.

This morning, Roscoe Brown dispatched Rachael to my residence to perform my spring HVAC maintenance. She executed her duties with exceptional proficiency, replacing all my filters and maintaining both my outdoor and attic units. Notably, she identified a leak in the attic unit, which I am immensely grateful for as it could have resulted in substantial complications later in the summer. It is refreshing to encounter a woman who embodies timeliness, professionalism, and expertise in HVAC units, particularly in a field that is often stereotypically associated with men. Roscoe Brown deserves commendation for hiring women to undertake tasks beyond administrative responsibilities.

RB installed two HVACs in my home. When you pay a premium price, it's reasonable to expect at least decent service...RB misses the mark. I wish I had gone with a different company. It took them ~10 visits (no exaggeration) to select and locate a thermostat so that we could regulate the air temp in our upstairs. In each case, I had to wait for the tech to come on their schedule...not mine...so these return visits are very disruptive. When they mess something up, they should come fix it when the customer is available...not when they are free. No apologies from the company for the associated hassles. For the second unit, they have been out 5 times...with 3 visits related to a small pump that is making a bunch of noise. Same scheduling issues. As it stands, RB cant tell in their system whether the issue has been fixed. I asked for a call from mgmt and did not receive one. I also called in with a warranty related question and never received a reply. Poor experience and value all around. Wish I could take a mulligan and use someone else.

Customer service is not dead, and the kind folks at Roscoe Brown are a wonderful example. Everyone from the call center folks to the technicians are kind, courteous and professional. They provide honest feedback on service, and don't pressure you into anything you don't need. I recently had some hot water heater services provided and Mabry went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. His professionalism and kindness made a tough situation better, and in the end I am super happy with my new water heater. We recently had our fall check-up on our split units. Will came out and checked the outside units and did his full exam of them even though it was beginning to get dark and was raining. He flushed out our upstairs unit and inspected it and advised us about using strips in the system to keep the water flowing outside and not clogging up the drains. Although he did not have the strips, a service person came out the following work day and installed the strips without charging us an additional service call fee. Will also went into our crawl space and reattached a piece of ductwork that had come away from the vent, Will was very considerate of our space and acted in a professional manner. He apprised us of any additional costs (the strips and attaching the ductwork) before he did the work. We have been customers of Roscoe Brown for several years and we have found them to always be professional, courteous and fair in their pricing.

We lost heat in Nashville home during the extreme cold weather around Christmas. Gerges came out to our home on Christmas Eve. He listened to our explanation of what was going on with the heating system, and after a quick inspection, diagnosed the problem very quickly. Only took Gerges about 20 mins to fix the issue and return heat to our home! ddd was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and explained everything he was doing with us (we have no HVAC knowledge). Gerges really made this transaction enjoyable and made us glad we chose Roscoe Brown.

I had an HVAC unit go down in 90+ degree weather at one of our rentals. We called Roscoe Brown and the dispatcher Denise responded immediately. She sent a great tech Ryan Mullins out and they got the problem sorted within just a few hours. In a day where quick and friendly service is rare - it was nice to deal with both Denise and Ryan. Our heat went out in the middle of the night & we woke up to the house being 55°. Roscoe sent out a tech Monday afternoon who determined the problem fairly quickly, but the part was on back order & was going to take 5-7 days. They were diligent about finding the part so we weren’t in a freezing house with a newborn, & were able to find a part & make the repair Thursday afternoon. Our tech Nathan was professional & friendly, & was even looking for space heaters for us in case the part wasn’t found quickly. Roscoe Brown installed a new Carrier HVAC unit in my home, and had the entire job finished and running in one day! I was replacing an old 23 year old system with their 16 SEER higher efficiency unit. The service was excellent, fast and the technicians were first class. I liked the fact they are not a super huge corp, but a medium size company that cares about the client, wants to do a good job and keep you/me as a client long range. I've now called them three times for other projects on insulation, etc, and each call was handled very well. I can highly recommend this company and will continue to use them in the future. They work out of Murfreesboro, but also have a location in the Nashville area.

LOVE this company. I have used them for plumbing issues as well as HVAC. They have come out promptly in the winter when the roads were completely iced over, fixed a thermostat we installed wrong, strapped all the pipes in the attic, yearly HVAC maint, unclogged a drain. They always make great recommendations and helpful tips on keeping everything working properly. Nathan came out today for yearly heating maintenance. Answered all my questions, offered some tips, and was able to add some extra installs same day. I recommend this company to everyone.

This week Roscoe Brown Company installed our 3.5 ton air conditioner. The installers were here from 9:30 until 6:30 working extra hard because the location of the install was a challenge. My husband and I were very pleased to have cool air when they left. The next day I received a call from Chris Filyaw, the Install Manager, who said that he had come out to check on the work and felt that aesthetically it did not meet Roscoe Brown's standards! He and his team - Christopher Jeffery, Lead installer, and Cody Woodall, install helper, reworked the final steps to make sure it looked right. We are so impressed with their standards and care. RB installed a new Carrier 2T HVAC at our residence on November 5th, 2020. The quality of the work was outstanding - the 2 installers Kevin (?) and his mate (?) were here for most of the day. They were polite, and efficient, and communicated very well with explanations. They assisted as well in the setup of the new Honeywell WIFI Vision 8000 thermostat (cost as much as an iPad). There were 2 small tasks unfinished when they left, and promised they would be dealt with expeditiously. And they were done the next day. Plumber (Name? missing) relocated a drain line, and Joseph Henry capped a vent. And the RB price for this system was superior to any other quote I received. They exceeded my expectations.

Joseph D Henry (technician) came out to my place in Spring Hill today. Didn’t charge me an arm/leg, and was super intelligent about explaining how HVAC works and issues to avoid. I would say these folks hire good people. My neighbor also uses them and praises them. Recommend this company for sure.

Roscoe Brown out of Murfreesboro, TN came out to our house to replace all of our plumbing (hot & cold, not drain) after we had a line freeze and bust due to its location under the soffit. They did all this work about 2 years ago and we're still dealing with the issues that they left us with! We paid them over $3,000 for them to redo all of our supply plumbing, but the issue is they didn't redo all of it! ::Negative:: --After they finally "finished their work" we had to call them back 2-3 times because 1 time there was a line leaking, the other time because they forgot to redo the plumbing underneath the kitchen sink, another time was because they forgot to hook the water back up to the refrigerator.. They straight up forgot to put a line there. After all of this, there was STILL more stuff that they didn't fix properly or forgot, but my fiancé decided to do it himself because we got tired of having to call them back and them wasting our time. My fiancé had to buy a new water line for the refrigerator because after their work, they didn't verify to make sure it wouldn't leak. It leaked. So my fiancé fixed it. NOW, because the valves on the washer were old and leaking, he's having to replace the valves and parts of the pex because they left old cpvc there. We've had to spend close to $50 and our time.. after paying them $3k to do their job! --The original appointment had to be rescheduled because they forgot! --We left them over 7 gallons of water so they could use the bathroom since the water was shut off and they used every single bit of it and clogged our toilet and then didn't let us know that it was clogged. Were having to deal with this 2 years later. It's been a headache. We would not recommend them to anyone, and would never let them back into our home. ::Positive:: We were grateful that they were able to come out to our house at the time when we had no water because everyone else was booked up/busy. Otherwise it would be 1 star.

HVAC unit shut off Friday evening. Put in a call to these guys Saturday. Within a couple of hours, Lee Mayhugh arrived. 15 minutes later our problem was diagnosed. He came back Sunday and within an hour we were up and running again. Lee was extremely knowledgeable , professional, kind and considerate. This company installed our unit in 2016 and to say that they stand behind their work and that they believe in treating their customers right is an understatement. They go beyond that!! Thanks Lee for representing this company with the highest of standard. We would highly recommend these guys to anyone !!!

STAY AWAY!! If there were a 0 star option, I would use it. Roscoe Brown installed an HVAC Unit in November. In May, the unit failed. They sent someone out to fix it and they found a part that was installed correctly and another that wasn't installed at all. They fixed it and the unit began working - for 3 days. Clearly the unit was installed incorrectly. When it failed again, they came back out and explained that someone had put an anti-leak agent in the HVAC unit, which voided the warranty. They failed to take any responsibility for the poorly-installed HVAC unit, which had already exhibited other problems (parts missing, faulty parts). They refused to fix it, claiming that it was no longer under warranty. The manager I spoke to yelled at me several times during our 35 minute phone call, in which he continually tried to pass responsibility off to some other service provider. No one else has serviced the unit. DO NOT use Roscoe Brown under any circumstances. Bad management, bad customer service, bad products.

Thanks Roscoe Brown! My old heat pump started freezing up this summer. I initially called Hiller, and they told me it was shot & tried to sell me a new unit, without offering any kind of a worthy explanation. So, I decided to have Roscoe Brown give me a second opinion. The technician, Sam, came over & walked me through everything, and then got my system up and running again for a couple hundred bucks. He was thorough in explaining the pros and cons of fixing vs replacing, so I was able to make an educated decision about my own unit (and budget)...what a concept!! I’ll be calling Roscoe Brown again when this unit finally needs replacement. I don’t mind giving business to an honest company. Thanks again!

I've been a loyal Roscoe Brown customer since building our first home in 1992 in Murfreesboro. When we bought an existing home in Nashville in 2005, we continued using Roscoe Brown to service the existing units. We recently replaced 2- 20 year old units. The sales, installation and follow up process was amazing and exceeded our expectations. They installed both units in one day to accommodate the arrival of out of town guests. So happy I found this company. My HVAC went out and I got 3 other bids. All recommended new units ranging from $6 to 12 thousand. Michael the tech spent 3 hours simply cleaning my unit, reattaching a loose connection, and replacing the board. Done for $549.00. Its wonderful to see some old fashioned integrity in work still. Frankie and Nigel were the two that came out and they were professional and incredibly nice. I was given honest advice and honest work. I had a new AC unit installed in my condo from Roscoe Brown around the end of last year and they gave me a better price than the other quotes I got. Since then, I have had a couple of small issues, and Mike came out out and fixed my problems. He was extremely professional and walked me through what he was doing each time. Had to use Roscoe Brown for a plumbing issue to replace water valve for a shower. The service call was $89 and the company would not provide any type of estimate over the phone. Upon plumber coming out, he quoted me a price of $702 to replace water valve. The service charge was not waived as part of them fixing the issue. Total bill to replace a water valve was $791. Highway robbery was a term that came to mind.
