Carrier Insulation

Insulation was part of the design when we built a new living space at the back of the property. Before finishing, foam board panels were installed along the roof and walls, cut precisely to match the tricky angles near the beams. The result is solid and energy efficient, even during strong winds. The extension blends perfectly with the rest of the structure—quiet and draft-free.

We didn’t realize how much energy was escaping through our roof until we started seeing condensation in the attic. The old insulation was patchy and damp. After the removal, spray foam was applied along the rafters and into every corner. The air feels even throughout the home, and the temperature doesn’t drop as it used to at night. The attic looks sealed tight, and the house feels quieter overall.

During a home upgrade, we discovered that most of the insulation in our crawl space had fallen. Rather than patching sections, Carrier Insulation recommended a complete insulation replacement. They removed every piece, sanitized the area, and re-secured the vapor barrier. After that, they installed new insulation that was cut and fitted properly between joists. In the attic, they replaced nearly 1,500 square feet of old material with new blown-in insulation, carefully maintaining ventilation channels. The inspectors signed off without any corrections needed. We also had them install a radiant barrier since summers in LA bring so much heat. The job was thorough, and they even took before-and-after photos so we could see exactly what was improved. I’m glad we did the project as part of the renovation instead of waiting.

Carrier Insulation completed a large radiant barrier and insulation installation on our roof. We wanted a combined system to keep out the summer heat. They stapled the barrier under the roof deck and topped it with batt insulation. Ken oversaw the crew, and they did an excellent job covering every corner.

The attic space was covered in old, compact insulation that wasn’t doing anything. We asked Carrier Insulation to do an attic cleanup and insulation replacement. They removed all the old materials, vacuumed the space, and air-sealed the ceiling. Then, they installed high-R-value blown-in cellulose from the outer edges to the center ridge. They also sealed the attic hatch and around some electrical boxes where air had been leaking through. Within days, the whole upstairs floor started feeling more balanced in temperature. They didn’t try to oversell extra services and focused on what the home needed. It’s clear they’ve done this work in the area for a while. If your insulation is decades old, this upgrade makes a big difference.

Carrier Insulation replaced everything in the attic, crawlspace, and between floors using batt and roll insulation after we noticed our home's old insulation barely did anything. They also sealed gaps around the roof trusses and access hatches. We used to avoid the lower level during cold seasons because of the cold drafts, but now it’s just as comfortable as the rest of the home. Amazing crew, and they finished ahead of schedule.
