I reached out via Yelp late on a Wednesday afternoon. I wanted a furnace closet insulated before the incoming ice storm. They contacted me same day and gave me an accurate quote based on photos. They finished the job the next day before noon. Excellent and speedy service!

Great Work at a Fair Price. Penguin Insulation did an excellent job removing old dirt and insulation that had been in my attic for over 20 years. The team was professional, thorough, and left the area very clean. Alex, the owner, was very detailed and patient in explaining the process and options. He also recommended nest thermostat and replaced it which was a great help. Pricing was fair and transparent. Highly recommend their services.

Disappointed. Communicated with Alex via text and we agreed via text to meet between 10:30 and 11am on Sunday afternoon. His response Saturday evening at 7:10pm, after I offered a time, was “sure”. Needless to say 10:30-11am arrives and not so much as a courtesy call. At 12:42 pm he decides to try and reach me. At that time my decision and experience was made. Why would I trust him or a company to do some significant work? And finally the kicker, he decides to show up on his own at 1:15pm despite me ignoring his calls. I let him know due to his poor professionalism, I was out. If you can’t stick to your word for an appointment, why would you stick to any agreements made regarding a job. Genie did a great job. Showed up on time and finished the job in time. Even added insulation in an area that needed insulation after all the equipment was put away. Alex was on site to supervise. 5 star!!!!

Penguin Insulation did a great job on my project. They insulated my attic, garage, and walls, taking care to clean everything up afterward and bag anything exposed in the garage. The attic and garage both look great. They were able to insulate the walls with only some minor drywall holes and are even helping me find a reasonable drywall contractor for the repairs. The work was done well, at a fair price, and I'm very satisfied with the results. I recommend them.

Excellent work from the first call till the day they came and provided their insulation service. Very friendly and informative and time efficient. Arrived on time and wasted no time they got straight to work. Reason for the service was due to one of the rooms in my house was freezing during the winter, and when I moved into the house it had little to no insulation. After the insulation the main room was not freezing anymore and the house retained the heat during the winter and cool during the summer. Highly recommend them. They show you the work and progress I asked if they could fill in small corner angle and they asked no questions or gave me push back they did it right away. I would for sure use them again. I used their service back in January 2023 I just never left them a review due to a password issue. I said I would leave a review once I fixed it. Thanks for your service.

Alex and his crew did a great job. I had my attic insulation blown and a radiant barrier installed. A month latter I needed a new HVAC system and he contracted out to a team also did a great job. His prices were a lower than other quotes. I've been around construction for many years so I new the answers to the question I asked. Alex answered them all the way I knew they should be answered. We had our garage door and attic over the garage insulated so the garage would be comfortable as a plant/garden room. The garage door was insulated with padding and all openings that would interfere with temperature control sealed with caulking. The garage door opens and closes perfectly. In the attic, we had insulation and a radiant barrier installed. The work was very professional, performed at a lower cost than many others, and we are very happy with the results.

The crew was super professional, worked hard, and really took care of our home like it was their own. They also walked us through the rebate and tax credit process, which was a huge help. I'm revising my initial 5-star review to accurately reflect my complete experience. While the job was completed, there were several concerning issues: The installation team arrived hours late, citing rain as the reason, though this appears to be a recurring issue based on other reviews. The workers were not uniformed, one had communication barriers, and there was unprofessional behavior like taking smoke breaks during the job. Most importantly, the post-service communication has been very disappointing. Despite multiple requests for job documentation (via text, phone, and email), Alex has been unresponsive. He repeatedly promised to send the paperwork but never followed through. I had to seek help elsewhere and thankfully, Stuart at Koala Insulation of Dallas assisted me in understanding what documentation I needed for tax purposes. While Alex appeared professional initially, his lack of follow-through and poor customer service after receiving payment raises concerns about the overall quality and integrity of the work performed. I cannot recommend a business that abandons customer communication after payment.

Definitely do NOT recommend. They were late every time and didn't have everything to do the work with them when they did show up. Left a very large mess and cigarette butt's in the yard. Horrible experience.

Alex and his team were terrific! Alex recommended what work needed to be done and didn't try to upsell me at all, in fact he ended up saving me a few grand by not doing work that wasn't needed. Alex and his team took care of my insulation on a wall and an air duct that had been damaged by rat activity. He helped me understand the best way to fix and also prevent similar things from happening in the future such as using closed cell foam which is much denser and harder to chew through. He quoted me a very competitive price, had the best scheduling availability, but most importantly was very responsive on text and helped answer a lot of questions I had. Called up Alex right as our AC went out and he was out same day (within 2-3 hrs) to check out the house and give me an estimate, they were back on Monday right after and had the job complete in a few hours - not only that, but they did a fantastic job. Alex showed me rebates I would be eligible for as well as detailed information about the types of insulation he could blow in as well as sealing the attic and fixing our roof fans to improve the insulation as well. In just a few hours, they were finished and had exceeded what is required by building code to ensure my two-story home would stay comfortable. We called Pequin a couple of weeks ago right before we were hit with the Arctic front . Alex was here the next day when it was freezing, and it was freezing. Alex was absolutely wonderful and his crew as well, Alex explained each step throughout the whole process, which I totally appreciated. Spray foam insulation has already made a huge difference in our home. Alex was very communicative over the phone. The man he sent over to do an estimate was also very knowledgeable. We considered a few different handyman and DIY options, and decided to go with a company that specializes in only insulation, since they knew the business best. Alex was a man of his word, and they didn’t even more than they said they would. Very pleased and glad we went with this company. Totally fair price, as well. In fact, the price they quoted us, for our job was lower than some other weekend, warrior ventures, with higher quality product and more attention to detail.

These guys are the real deal. After getting hosed by A1 air I went to these guys to help get my home insulated and they did such a good job. They’re a smaller shop so their prices aren’t inflated and their follow up on how things are going a week post install is great. The follow up and level of communication I saw from them was phenomenal. Great crew and the sales guy is honest…not trying to push anything on you that you don’t need like the bigger shops do.

My husband‘s office is on our second floor on the west side of our home. In Texas’s brutal heat, it has been a struggle for him to have a comfortable working temperature without making the rest of the house freezing. After one particularly frustrating day, he contacted Penguin Insulation to discuss the issues that have been going on in our home. Alex at Penguin pulled up our home on Google maps and was able to offer suggested improvements and estimated cost over the phone. Their team was able to come out three days later to place additional insulation in our attic. They also installed two new solar attic fans on our roof (one replaced an existing wind-powered fan, the other was a new addition). We were very impressed with how neat and clean they worked, and the entire team was very professional. The invoice price was as quoted, no surprises, and we have already seen immediate interior results! We appreciate the time they spent to explain what they were going to do, and that the work was done as quoted. Highly recommend! Our only regret is that we wish we would have found them sooner!

I found Alex and his team via a coupon mailer. I requested a quote online and received a call from Alex later the same day. He was able to give me approximate figures on the phone, but he scheduled Al to come by and look at our attic and provide a firm quote. I was able to schedule the work within a couple of days. Sergey and Jeniz arrived on time and were very professional. They did a great job and finished in less than half a day.

Penguin Insulation did a great job! I sent in a quote request on Friday morning, they came to see the house and sent me the estimate by the end of day Friday. They came out and finished the project on Tuesday. They did blow in insulation, radiant barrier and some other sealing to help keep our house cooler during winter months. Our house is feeling much cooler! Their pricing was very fair, and we really happy with all of the work that they did.

I had multiple quotes for adding insulation to my attic, and Penguin beat every one and added in even more features like sealing light fixtures and even adding sealing to the attic door. I had a few things in the attic, and they moved them all out free of charge. They really fought for my business, and I am glad they did. Will definitely use them again for any insulation or ventilation needs in the future.

Penguin Insulation made a tremendous difference in our home temperatures! Our aging A/C unit wasn't keeping up with the extreme heat, due to very high attic temps. Alex and his team replaced our two broken attic exhaust fans with new, efficient solar-powered fans and added a third. They added baffles to get air flow going from our soffit vents, and then blew in insulation. In addition we'd pointed out a problem on the ground floor that we thought was caused by lack of insulation. He used his heat-seeking tool and identified a different source of the problem. (He offered to return in the winter and take a look if we have a problem then with cold air.). He kept us informed at every step of the process and always gave a quick response. We're now comfortable in our home!

If you’re looking to upgrade the insulation in your home, look no further - Penguin Insulation is the best in the business! My husband and I have had an insulation refresh high on the list of home projects since we bought our house and finally decided to pull the trigger after receiving a referral from our Realtor. It’s certainly an investment, but one we’re so glad we made and is sure to pay off for years to come. The insulation in our house was original to construction (1998) and boy was it packed in there! After vacuuming out a 20 foot trailer’s worth of insulation, Alex and his team sanitized, completed a seal out between the attic floor and ceiling in our house, and applied spray foam. We could immediately feel the difference in our house temperature and cannot wait to see the impact of our upgrade this summer. Beyond doing a fantastic job from prep work to clean up, Alex and his team went above and beyond what I expected. The previous owners left a TON of stuff up in the attic, which they kindly pulled out and hauled off for us. Alex made sure we did our own independent diligence ahead of the project, too, suggesting that we have our HVAC and roofing teams out to complete their own inspections before project kick off. Alex raised questions for them we hadn’t thought about, and we feel so much more comfortable at project completion as a result. We had a couple pop throughs in our ceiling during install, but they were repaired immediately - I’m talking drywall patch, matching texture with paint applied the next day after everything had time to dry. I’m also 6 months pregnant and so appreciative of Alex advising me to stay out of the house during certain stages of the removal and install process.
