Bug Out

We are new to Bug Out, but love it so far. Jules came out and installed the Sentricon termite stations around our house, and also applied the interior pest control. She really knows her business and gave us a clear explanation of what she was doing.

Kevin is always very professional, he explains exactly what he’s going to be doing and why. Kevin always asks if we have any concerns and asks about past issues to see if they’re ok. Kevin makes sure that we know when it’s safe to let our pets out. We appreciate his knowledge and professionalism!

Ewald is always very nice and friendly. He lets us know when he's here and does a great service every time!

Jules had an amazing customer service and went above and beyond my mother is elderly, and I truly felt like she had full interest in all of her concerns. Hired for flea control, issue was never fixed, even though they made several visits. I SHOULD ask for a refund. Wondercide is doing what they didn't, at half the price.

I'll start with I've had only minor complaints with Bug Out lawn service and pest control over the last 6 years. They take my money every month and spray the grass and house as scheduled. But last week I scheduled a termite inspection for a real estate transaction. I took Friday off work to stick around the house. Service window was 09:00-10:30 with Daniel. Nobody showed, nobody called. I called back at 11:15 and was told they'd file a complaint. Rescheduled for Monday, again 09:00-10:30 with Daniel. Again, Nobody showed, nobody called. Called AGAIN and rescheduled for Tuesday, 08:00-09:30 with Keith (can't rely on Daniel). AGAIN, Nobody showed, nobody called. So, I had to contact another company and pay a crazy price to get an inspection today. So 3 days off from work with zero results PLUS I had to pay another company for the inspection. Ironically, someone associated with Bug Out called while the other company's inspectors were at the house doing the inspection. I reckon, that's it. I'm done with Bug Out.

Jules is my technician. She is responsive, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. I enjoy working with her very much.

Was a bug out customer for 15 years at my prior home. Pest and lawn. Moved and continued the service HOWEVER on the first treatment on my brand new lawn they killed it. Expected to just cancel and move on but one of their reps showed up at my house unscheduled, suggested bug out might take responsibility but then inferred it was actually my fault. Another 2 reps called and asked for pictures. Each time I called in to find out if they would take responsibility all I got was “someone will call you back”. No one did. Cancelled both my services. Beware! They clearly don’t care about customer loyalty. And now they are harassing me to pay them for killing my lawn. These people are insane!!!!!

Your representative from Bug Out today was very knowledgeable and helped me to make out a plan to get rid of the mice in my attic. She also set two traps to get rid of the mice and rats. She was polite and courteous.

Manager was helpful with issuing our refund for lawn service. We need to re-sod the yard since new sods installed 2022 died but we kept our Pest Control service with bug out. Hope they look into changing that customer service line to provide direct line to customers, so when needed they can directly talk to local ppl.

We had a major black mold issue and problems in our attic that allowed raccoons and other pesky rodents to get in and they fixed the issue. Bugout came out and did an extensive inspection with pictures to show us the problem. Josh explained the process to rectify the issue and gave us a phenomenal price. It’s done and we are extremely satisfied. We recommend their service. In talking with other companies, Bugout was the best. Thank you Josh for your exceptional customer service!!!

I marked one star because zero wasn't available. After 10+ years of service, with great satisfaction, the service changed over the last year or so, and the results are there to prove it. We just received our first letter EVER from our HOA because our front lawn is just TERRIBLE. After weeks of trying to get someone to come over for an inspection, we finally received a visit today from Brad Bebout, a manager. Well, this was his assessment: "It's your responsibility. It's drought, it is 90% your fault, 10% ours. There is no sod replacement plan in our service; be prepared to spend between 3k and 5k to replace it. You've been lucky that it didn't happen before." We have NOT changed anything in the way we take care of our lawn. ANYTHING! Our neighbors' lawns look fine, under the same climate conditions. We take great pride in the way we care for our property. When I said we wanted to cancel the service, he said, ok. Just like that. We've already spent around $1000 replacing sod under their care. And after 10+ years with their service, a very condescending visit today, we are DONE. Look for a different company if you want someone who cares. They DON'T!

We love our bug out service and our exterminater. He's so friendly. Bug out is quick to respond to any issues we ever have. I definitely recommend them.

They did a thorough job of adding insulation to my attic! The insulation did come down through some vents and and was tracked throughout the house. Little cleanup would have made it a 5 star job.

It’s hard to find a good and reasonable priced exterminator. Many are just way high priced. I used one in Tampa and they were initial $425 then $75 a month for a 2100 sq ft home. They did not do a good job. Now here in Jax we tried Bug Out. Wow what a huge difference in time spent as well as results. They are very detailed oriented and do a great job. I’m happy with them and will use them in the future for regular monthly services. As of Sept 25, we paid $200 for initial service and $40 a month for regular monthly services. Very low price I believe. My home here is maybe 1700 sq ft, a 4/2 home.

Tim has been our tech for awhile now. He is great. He calls when he is on his way. If I have any questions, I can call him and he explains to me what I need to know. Great guy.

Tim has been awesome to work with. Every time he visits, we walk over the entire perimeter of the house and review any trouble areas in the yard. He explains the plan for how we will address problem areas like taking away food sources for some bugs that aren't directly treated, and then follows up with me on the next visit for what I have noticed. He has even given tips for various other things like tricks for cleaning gutters. He is very knowledgeable, dependable, and overall just a very friendly person. I wasn't planning on keeping the service for any length of time with the property being one that I am renting, but Tim and staff have been so helpful and friendly and provide results that continue to make the property look better. I used to have prolong Plus . bugouts took over my yard has gone to pot ever since . I've had them I just canceled my service . I have weeds everywhere used to have beautiful yard and I've been hanging on hanging on and there's no more hanging on . they don't care about the little people I pay my bills. But I bet you these nicer homes don't have the weeds and crap I have in my yard. Very upset with this service. If you're a lower income person don't hire them. Terrible and I've been very patient with them they bring these people out don't know what they're doing . I've always took very good care of my yard for almost 40 years. people come by and tell me how beautiful it was. But not since I've had bug out . I'm just telling you this your own decision but beware if you are a lower income person. not going to get the service they do.... good luck if you choose them..

I have had the worst customer service experience ever with this company. I have used them for years for bug treatment and been so happy with that service. But when I added mole treatment it all fell a part. The mole treatment was not rolled out as promised and was therefore ineffective. I called twice just to cancel the mole service and was talked out of it both times after being promised that the issue was being escalated and was a top priority. Nothing happened after both phone calls. When I called the third time I was also asking to be refunded the $224 dollars I had spent so far. I was told that it might be an issue but she would send an email and try. Give me a break! Your CR reps should have a certain amount of funds they are allowed to refund to save you from loosing a customer. Which you did because ended up canceling my entire service with Bugout by the end of the call. And I canceled specifically because of the customer several I received.

Kevin, the technician, was personable & very thorough. He checked & filled the termite bait traps, added some necessary new ones, renumbered them & reported to me his findings. He was a pleasure to speak with & meet today. I hope he comes back next year. Good job, Bug Out!

Kevin from Bug Out did a great job communicating and treating all the areas around the house. He also was able to spot treat some trouble areas where we previous had some ant issues. Overall great experience

Used to be great but since the buy out they have become progressively worse (lawn specifically). I stay on top of the irrigation, fungus, etc. but they don't play their part. Fertilizer doesn't do much anymore, pre-emergent doesn't work well. Last treatment I had a sub doing fertilizer, pre-emergent and spot weed kill. Told him about oxalis and he said he'd treat it but he did not touch it. Seeing the oxalis was still thriving a week later I called... "We can't come out any sooner than 21 days since your last treatment." Not even if you didn't actually treat it?! And this leaves me to wonder, did he do a proper job with the fertilizer/pre-emergent? I've been a customer for over a decade (pest and termite too) but with the ever-declining quality of Bug Out I'm done. This last treatment was the proverbial straw. Update: The company reached out which I appreciated. A manager came out and walked the lawn with me. So I'm giving them time to make good on their word that they will make things right. Stay tuned.

Bug Out is a solid company and they continue to perform in a manner which meets and sometimes exceeds my expectations. Today is a perfect example. My technician is Julie. Julie came to my house today to check my termite stations for activity. While she was here I expressed some concern to her about a roach that I had seen in my kitchen. Its the first roach Ive seen in over one year. She asked me to describe the roach. Julie quickly identified it as an american cockroach. She is very knowledgeable and explained that it most likely made it's way into my home through the sewer pipe. That makes sense to me. I asked her to spray around the kitchen door just for a little peace of mind. Before I knew it, Julie treated the perimeter of my home and my detached garage. One of the reasons that I hired Bug Out for pest control and termite bond is that they offer a callback service if a customer has concerns. Julie stood behind this service today. Thank you Julie for your excellent service. Thank you Bug Out for hiring and training competent and courteous technicians!

Julie listened to our concerns and made amazing suggestions to help with any future problems. Also reminded us of our annual home inspection, and had her manager reach out. We didn’t have to remember to make another call. She is very helpful and I am grateful she is our new tech.

Used them for 2 years. Had a great guy - Tommy - that did an awesome job. He left and now we are having major issues with weeds. Tried calling manager - he doesn’t return phone calls!!! Finally got a tech to come out and spray (again) for the weeds. 10 days later and all the weeds are still there! I shouldn’t have to beg them to stand up to their guarantee!! Manager says there are only 2 guys to do the work and they are booked up - I have to wait to get work in???? Good bye Bug Out. I’m looking for a professional company that gives decent customer service. Since they were bought out - it’s no longer local and a minimum of 20 minutes on hold. Good riddance.
