Edit (1/2026): Responding to the request to delete my one star in order to get free mosquito treatment. I don't want to delete but I'll adjust and share something nice. The last visit was nice. The tech listened throughout the rooms until he found a few baby rodents all on the glue trap (so they do work!).<br><br>I don't like the monthly payment and now that I see on other reviews that I can cancel, I'll do that. I'd rather just pay for the services as needed.<br><br>11/2025: Good initially (began 8/2025). Texting day and night to get me to sign a contract but it’s a struggle to get them to return a text for follow up service.<br><br>What you should know:<br>- There is no online system to schedule appointments. Just wait until they decide to respond to text/call.<br>- Whatever they do last only any 2 months so don’t wait until 3 months.<br>- They LOOOVE these sticky traps but they don’t work.<br><br>I have to write a bad review to get their attention. They will offer a free service so I’ll delete this review. I’m probably not going to play that game this time.
Deceptive sales practices and pushy. I called the number for Fort Worth Rodent Extermination, which is supposed to specialize in rodents. I received a call back from Prize Pest Control, who told me they take care of rodents as part of their standard pest plan. They tried to get me to sign an annual contract while on the phone with them. I said I just wanted to get in the schedule for a quote. The lady tried to get me to sign for the annual contract but said don't worry, we won't charge you of you don't have the first service. I asked them to put that in writing and she said it was just policy, not written. Don't fall for that! Classic deceptive practices with high pressure sales tactics. They keep calling me and I finally just blocked the number.
Matthew exemplifies customer service and courtesy. He makes sure everything is done correctly and you are informed the entire way. If you can request him to work on services at your house, you should.
Thru will text and call you back to back all day before you even get any service from them !!! Like Geesh why so many back to back calls desperate for a sale or what .. it’ll make you not want to even get the service from them !
We recently had a water leak under the house and had to replace all the flooring as well as some spots in the subfloor with large holes. House built in 1951. Little roaches began appearing and got completely out of hand quickly. Prize Pest Control came out, treated the house inside and out and so far we are happy with their work. The technician that came out was courteous, professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. The cost was very reasonable and affordable.
The techs are so helpful attentative and polite. I love doing business with yall everyone is so nice and helpful not condescending like some others I have talked to in the past

I asked for a quote online and got 3 back to back phone calls within a minute at 8am while I was working. The fact that I was called so much in little time made me not even do service. It’s 8am! 3 calls back to back is ridiculous. They are desperate for services.
Do not use this company. Their techinician came the first time and didnt even spend 10 minutes in the yard so there is no way that he actually put any spray down. They were supposed to being getting rid of fleas and nothing changed.<br>They come to your house even if they dont receive their payment or have actually spoken to the customer about their plan. Then when you do speak to them they representatives just keep saying it's an automatic withdrawal and won't tell you how to cancel!<br>I will call the police if your company steps foot on my property again!

Prize has been servicing my home for two years now. I really don't see bugs or insects a lot due to what I believe is their great treatment plans and their responsiveness whenever I contact them to come out to a treatmwnt in between our normal quarterly schedule and I live in a very grasses area with lots of trees on my lot.
The Technicians at Prize Pest are A1 in my book. I had not 1 but 2 Hornet/Wasp problem. They got rid of them for me and inspected the entire house as well. They were knowledgeable and thorough. I like them so much until I sent them to my sisters house as well. Winter approaching so I definitely need them to keep those UNWANTED guests out. I recommend you call Prize Pest Control for ANY insect issue.

I have been experiencing a summer of ants and wasps. The ants are coming in through any crack or crevice and the wasps are building nests all over my home. They're driving me insane. I called several different pest companies for pricing and Prize got my business. Their response time was incredibly fast, less than 24 hours from contact to service. The customer service persons I spoke to for pricing and scheduling (I believe their names are Heather and Charlie) were very very nice, they explained everything, and they weren't pushy. The price and terms are very reasonable for long term pest management. Today, my tech was Landon and he was very friendly, professional, and thorough. He checked with me before he left to go over everything and identify any areas of additional concern. He also reassured me that if there were any issues in the next few weeks that he or another tech would come back to re-treat. I am beyond satisfied with the entire process so far. And given the chance, I will definitely recommend Prize.
Ve very careful with their billing department I cancel my service and ignore my cancelation and still charge me 163.98$ and that’s not the only Issue I have with them DO NOT USE THEM
Technician that was sent out was very punctual and professional, having an early morning appointment is always convenient to work around my daily schedule. It was amazing to get my home treated before heading off to work.

I had my first treatment for hornets nest (under ground) today. Pablo was very kind and knowledgeable. I told him those bee's were trying to get me! He told me not to worry he'll take care of it,and he did. He answered all of my questions and applied treatment.<br><br>Time will tell how well the treatment worked but Pablo gave me reason to feel hopeful.<br><br>KUDOS to Pablo. His customer service is rare this day and time but hirely appreciated.<br><br>Follow up - Everthing that Pablo said would happen did. The treatment worked!! I now am free of all the hornets nests.<br><br>Thanks again!!!

This company sucks! Had them for awhile and it made the bug problem worse! They were constantly canceling on us and when they did spray it made the pest problem worse!!! Constant bug problem made it even worse when they came out! Do not waste your money on this company there was no change in any control of bugs it made it worse !!!! Made them come out even more !!! Worst company ever !!! Avoid the contract and go somewhere else !!!
I have been using Prize Pest Control since I moved into our home about 1 1/2 ago. Every technician has been thorough, has great knowledge, and customer service is excellent. In between services have been without question and quick. The overall experience has been great at getting rid of insects, even during peak spring and summer months.
We are very satisfied with the company. You were able provide same day service. Our initial call with Mark, he was very knowledgeable, professional and patient as with us as we had lots of questiona and of course the plan is very affordable. The tech was same we still had many concerns and questions and was able to put us at ease with what was on in our home with the pest.

Wow, what a great company! They came out right away when I saw signs of termites in our house. Jon did a very thorough inspection and worked up an extremely competitive quote for getting rid of those terrible pests. Mark, who does the scheduling, followed up with me to see if I had questions or concerns. This is a fantastic outfit!
I feel like they're spraying sugar water on my walls. The mosquitoes are out of control. I have called and have them respray and respray and I'm getting no cure. Now there are wasp nests on both my front and back porch and if they were spraying a deterrent there would be no bugs.
Made a desperate call on Wednesday night regarding a pest problem so bad I was afraid to go outside. I paid a higher fee to have a tech come out the next morning and the service was wonderful. Very thorough, explained to me fully, and care was taken to not upset my pig.

This company has been extremely responsive at any time of the day, extremely quick, and extremely polite. Both the people that have come to spray for wasps have been incredibly friendly and helpful and ready to help at a moments notice. We live out in Krum and they stated in their initial call that they normally don't come out to my area just because it's pretty far. But they were able to get somebody out next day.

When I call them their customer service was awesome 👌 Mrs Heather was very helpful d price quoted was reasonable n affordable. Monthly fees was btw my budget She answered all my questions n explained in detail how everything works n schedule an appointment for d technician to come out to treat my hm on the roach problem i am having. Technician called me bf he arrived n was there 30mins bf d scheduleed time n explained to me what he is going to be doing in details n begin treatment. Great service arrived promptly early within the appointment time window, friendly, and ask lots of questions on what we were needing for the service that we got.
The initial visit the employee showed up 45 mins late for service causing me to be late for work. Other than that he was nice. Problem 1 there was never a follow up call to the initial visit and no one attempted to come back out after the visit for a mouse. I called several times up to 2 weeks after that visit and was only told that someone would call me back. I never received a call back or got any help. I called to cancel and they couldn’t even help with that. I ended up just taking my card off online and going through another company who quickly resolved the issue and has wonderful communication and customer service and the employee even showed up 10 mins early for the visit. Now they are texting me a month and a half after going ghost to collect payment with instructions to cancel that involves me paying out a contract for service they didn’t even reach out to provide. Make it make sense. Horrible horrible company!!! Do not use them!

Do not use their service. Even though you cancelled after the end of a 12 month contract, they will bill you for months that they did not perform any actual work. Prize Pest Control will call you every day and send you messages every day to collect money for months in which no services were performed.
I just like to thank and recommend Prize Pest Control for their excellent, timely, and honest service. I asked them a couple of times to check for any rodent activity in my attic, as others had suggested it might be an issue. Each time, they assured me there was nothing to address. Thank you for conducting business with honesty and integrity—truly a trustworthy team to work with!
I do not recommend using this company for rodent control. Their approach is ineffective—they simply set traps, which may catch a few rodents but do nothing to prevent them from coming back. Despite having traps in place, the rodents remained in the house for months. When I asked for a solution, they told me there was nothing more they could do besides setting traps. If that’s all they can offer, why am I paying for their services? I could have set traps myself.<br><br>They only visit once every 1 or 3 months to place more traps, which hardly solves the problem. While their customer service is polite and responsive—you can request re-servicing—they only provide the same solution: setting more glue traps.<br><br>Eventually, I learned about their so-called “rodent exclusion program,” which involves blocking all the holes in the house. That turned out to be the actual solution to the problem. However, they failed to inform me of this upfront and instead rushed me into signing a 12-month contract for $53 per month.<br><br>I feel they were not transparent or honest about their services. If they had explained the exclusion program from the beginning, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, they pressured me into signing a long-term contract without fully disclosing the options.<br><br>As one review mentioned, it felt like I was paying free money to a local company. We truly felt ripped off. Be cautious! Don’t let a salesman pressure you into signing anything without carefully reading and understanding the contract.

Signed up for the service technicians came out multiple times still having the same issues. I switched to Prize from Aptive because I was told Prize pest Control has better prices and customer service. Unfortunately, great customer service does not kill or decrease the amount of pest. Service wise you get what you pay for. Lesson learned, wasted money for several months. Also had to pay more money just to cancel. Which is unfortunate because they didn’t keep their end of the bargain at all. I basically just donated money to a local company.
We use Prize Pest Control. They are very thorough and we have certainly seen a decline in mice, creepy crawly things, and other species that make us jump and scream!! They always call ahead, they are very personable, answer any questions we may have. I recommend them to anyone that needs this type of service.

I just purchased a new home and have a service dog, an Alaskan Husky. Wanted to insure prior to move in, that my home & yard were Pest protected as much as possible. The tech was early, which I appreciated.<br>His name is Willie, in Balch Springs TX area. This guy was amazing.<br>He was upbeat, pleasant to talk to, and very informative as far as what he was doing and what was to follow going forward.<br>I would appreciate it, if you can arrange for him to be my permanent tech guy going forward in serving my Home.<br>Thank you
We recently moved into our home a few weeks ago. Upon our movin, we knocked down a few wasps nest on our patio and front porch. Within 24 hours we noticed a unbelievable amount of wasps on the ground in our back yard and in our front landscape. We're not certain if this was the result of knocking all the wasps nest down but our back yard has been taken over by 100's of wasps. We have our grandchildren often and as of today we can't walk through our back yard due to the many many wasps.<br>So I called today and i am so pleased that they were able to schedule me an appointment for tomorrow, on such short notice. I'm hosting a birthday party on Saturday and explained my concern with the extremely large amount of wasps on the ground, in my back yard. The person in the phone was delightful and professional. I'm thrilled that someone will be out tomorrow. I'm praying that they're able to provide us with some back yard relief. Now we sit and pray they're able to successfully get rid of those pesky bees, BEEScause we need to BEE able to have our grandchildren play outside. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE STILL CHARGING MY ACCOUNT FOR A SERVICE THEY DID NOT PROVIDE!! DISHONEST!! I engaged Prize pest control for my pest control needs and have regretted it BIG TIME! I set up for an extra service (I paid for them for the one regular service they did) but I had a family emergency so I canceled the day before the service , but they charged my Bank account over 200 dollars anyway! The girl at the office Kaitlyn was very sweet but the supervisor that I talked to was very rude and condescending when I tried to talk to him about the service. He was very insulting and this was before I canceled. I canceled my debit card but some how they charged me again! I've asked them over and over again through the phone and email to cancel and stop harassing me to no avail. So i'm forced to give this very Negative review of Prize pest control to try to save others from this dishonest company. Do not Use this company! You will regret it and you will be harassed!!<br><br>8/27/24 Updated review: Received a $200 refund. I spoke with Rick from Prize he was very nice and he resolved my complaint.
I needed help! When I call Prize Pest Control, I had a long conversation with Jeff. He understood my situation and scheduled me an appointment and within a week my “wasp nest” was removed from underneath the hood of my Expedition. The service technician, Eric was amazing and super friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service! Eric said there were 2 wasp nests😳 but that was no problem for Eric! Then the following week after I returned from out of town I seen several wasps around the treated area and I began to panic but the manager was able to work me in for a same day appointment and Jordan came to the rescue! Jordan wasn’t scared of no wasp! He followed up with another treatment and problem solved! Then for my scheduled treatment Willie went the extra mile and made sure there were no wasp in my attic, and the early morning schedule worked perfectly for my schedule! I was able to go to work feeling thankful and relieved 😌

I’ve been trying to get service because we saw a bug again, I tried to call other times about a concern that I had but whenever I called they wouldn’t answer me and told me to leave a message so I did but instead of calling they messaged me the number (that I called) to get service. It says that they close at nine BUT they have on the website that we can reach out 24/7. Don’t lie and say that you’re 24/7 when you’re not (I called the first times around 6 before they close to get customer service and then I called the last time at 11:00 am when me and my family saw the bug)<br><br>EDIT:<br>After seeing how frustrate I was in my review Jeff reached out to me and apologized for the struggle that I was having with getting customer service. He was able to make an appointment for someone to come on the upcoming Monday and deal with the bug concern that me and my family have
Excellent communication with both the office and the onsite technician. Super friendly technician who shared the process with me as he worked. Spent a great deal of time on detailed examination of the property and efficient process of treating the outside of the house. Spent time explaining what was being used and the reasons for each type of treatment for each area. 1st pest company I have used that took the time to do this.
The pest control technician was very knowledgable, he explained every service that was being done today. He was kind, and didn't mind answering any questions. He was very professional and even gave me a wrap-up once he left of what he did, then he explained what steps will happen next as for the service I will be paying monthly for.
Prize pest control, I called them out because I was having a flea problem whatever they use does not hurt fleas. Apparently I was still having an issue. Call them out in May. It took them two weeks to get out to me so no, they don’t come same day service. The guy that sprayed didn’t spray enough their service completely sucks if you try to cancel they want to charge you 300 something dollars yeah I’m just gonna change my card number so they can’t charge me. Why would you pay for a service that did nothing?
I would never recommend doing business with this company, as they are impossible to reach after you've signed up for their services. I used their services and then decided we wanted to cancel. It took at least 8 phones calls and emails total before they would simply send me an email confirming my account would be closed in June. I thought after having them tell me numerous times that this was noted on my account, that I would be all set after June. I was wrong. I wake up this morning in July to a message that they've billed me again! I've made one call so far and left a message but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to waste hours of my life again to get my money back, and to get them to stop charging me for services that I canceled many months ago. It's not worth the hassle to do business with them, so I am hoping this post might save someone else the headache of dealing with this as well.

Don't go with this company! There was a period where I had some flying bugs in my home. I called around different companies. Prize had a better price but they are a monthly subscritption. I kept cleaning and thowing my belongings out when I still saw bugs. They said it would take a while after I called a week post service. I finally spotted where my kids kept some food hidden. I cleaned that up and the bugs went away. This company keeps billing me and won't stop draining my account since may 2023. I emailed a stop letter, I asked a service provider who came by to terminate service. THERE IS NO WAY TO END A SERVICE I NO LONGER NEED? PEOPLE can end apartment leases, marriages, car leases, and even parental rights. Why is this company still billing me?

The customer care and support simply blew me away. From the very first phone call enquiring about their services till the actual service rendered was impeccable (all in a matter of 8 hours). I was in such a rush to set up new service and Rick made the impossible possible! He was not only patient through out the process & not to mention I was also in the middle of a training program, plus had to arrange this service asap as the tenant was freaking out over spiders, he found a technician to go in the same day and conduct the pest control treatment on a Friday!<br>Even the technician, John was extremely professional and called before and after the process to provide an update.<br>They were so prompt in getting back at every point through the day, like I said I was simply blown away!

Always great service. They were able to treat my yard the next day. The techs they send out are always very respectful and personable! Willie and the other gentleman that sprayed my property were thorough and efficient. Definitely would recommend them.
Joshua was so helpful with providing a various quotes and following up and scheduling everything out super quick and explaining the process. The tech called early to let me know he was on his way and the communication overall was 10/10 .
Adrian was very nice and professional. He listened and addressed the concerns that we had with pests and offered all the possible solutions. He even went out of his way to offer to fix a small issue regarding an opening where rats may have entered in our garage. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable, super easy to schedule and up front about cost and services. And the call in advance was great! I liked the small easy window for arrival (3 hour window versus "we could be there anytime from 7am to 7pm!"). And the competitive pricing made the experience great!
Earlier this year, I changed our pest control provider because of a serious decline in their service. After contacting other providers and doing a thorough search, I decided to go with Prize Pest Control, mainly because the women I spoke with at Prize Pest gave such a thorough explanation of their services and were very accommodating on what I wanted. I've now had two quarters of their service, and I am delighted; it is far better than my previous service. They send me notice of what day they are coming and give me the window of time that they will be here, and they arrive precisely in that window. The technicians immediately go to work around the house. Last week, we had landscapers working in our yard, and the technicians worked around them without disturbing them and did a thorough job. They are very polite and, when they had finished, they give us a detailed summary of what they did. We have confidence that they do a great job to protect our home. I highly recommend them.
Technicians are nice but good luck ever scheduling an appointment for a touch up service. Plus if you have an emergency on the weekend get ready to cough up $250. They get the job done but wouldn’t have signed a 12 month contract if I knew I wouldn’t truly get full access to their services like I was promised.
