The process was super easy, and the work was done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. We’ll definitely be repeat customers.
They did a bang up job and did the job right. John was very thorough and professional not to mention knowledgeable and friendly! I WILL be calling them again! I would recommend them to anyone!!!
Very clear and efficient quote and work execution process. Great communication and easy to work with this company. I especially appreciated that they provided line level cost estimates during the quoting process. This made it easy for me to opt in and out of jobs discussed during the in-person quote.
Highly recommend. Did a great job. Very reasonable pricing and prompt service. The guys that came out were extremely professional and easy to work with.
Very happy to have found Houston Heights Helpers. John Jensen is courteous, professional and punctual. He gave me a comprehensive estimate for the work to be done. Totally satisfied and will certainly use them in the future.
I couldn't give Heights Helpers a higher rating because you don't have enough stars.<br>They were competent, on time, very professional and cleaned up everything.<br>I would call them again for all my needs in the areas they cover.
Easy to schedule, fair price, on time and great work! Highly recommend
Online application is very easy to use and reliable. Pricing was very reasonable and work was excellent. Exceeded all my expectations.
I have used Houston Heights Helpers for years. They always address my concerns very quickly. They have fixed both small and large issues with my house. They do quality work at a reasonable price. I really like them.
I've worked with Houston Heights Helpers many times, Ed is always pleasant and professional. I had two different areas needing work, fence and spare bedroom ceiling. Scheduled for two days but there were two different handymen sent. Both were done in about 1/2 day. Great work done on the fence repair (they have done 3 or 4 repairs now as posts failed) and the ceiling wouldn't even notice there was work done except now I need to paint the entire room to make it uniform. Great handyman team - since I don't have time or experience to do it myself - glad I can call them. Local - Quick - Efficient - Great results!
I highly recommend Houston Heights Helpers for small or large home improvement projects. Jesus was very knowledgeable and explained to me what he planned on doing and made me feel very comfortable as he explained each step of the project. I have used this group two times already and will look to them again for any future home improvement projects.
Very helpful and good work. Everyone I talked to was very nice and responsive. All the work got done in one day and was done at a high quality!
I have no reason to use anyone else for repairs in Houston. They are great and Johnny was fantastic to work with
John was great to work with! He flexed his availability to meet my needs and then went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied with the work.
HHH provided very fast and quick service and was very communicative throughout the whole process. We have used them before and will use them again.
I can’t say enough good things about Houston Heights Helpers! They responded incredibly quickly when I needed help and wasted no time getting to work. Their expertise in identifying the root cause of the issue was impressive—they didn’t just fix the surface problem but ensured everything was resolved properly.<br><br>Ed, in particular, puts a strong emphasis on getting the job done right and making sure it’s 100% complete before calling it finished. The quality of their work is top-notch, and their professionalism is second to none. On top of that, their pricing is fair and transparent, which I really appreciate.<br><br>I’ll definitely be using them for all my home repairs and future projects. Highly recommend!
I rated them highly initially. The installed door bell stopped working after about 3 months. I reached out multiple times and was assured this will be fixed. Nothing happened. Waste of money.
I've used HHH twice now and have had positive experiences both times. Scheduling quotes and work is easy, prices are fair and results are high quality. Will continue to use in the future for odd jobs around the house and strongly recommend to others, too!
Ed, Jason and his team did a great job making some siding repairs after the mid-May storm. Their work was very thorough and done in a very timely fashion. They have become my go-to group on any house and fence repair needs. And speaking of, Beryl has provided them another opportunity!!
Great work on several projects at my Heights home: put up curtain rods in bedroom, hung my Blink camera up outside, installed and programmed a garage door clicker pad outside, painted metal railing and bollards outside. They did great work and even worked around my constantly nosy dog. They were very patient as she kept trying to see what they were up to. Would use again.
Excellent work, reliable, good value! I have used Heights Helpers whenever I need repairs inside or out, have a home project that requires an add/change/modification. I have very high ceilings & have even used them to change out light fixtures & smoke alarms. Satisfied customer for the last 5 years.
I have used Houston Heights Helpers two times before writing this review. The first time was for window service and the second time was for fence repair. The company has been the best home repair service I have found. Mr. Mannery was who I interacted with both times. He carefully listened to what I requested and made detailed enough notes for the workers who did the repairs. One major difference between this company and others I have worked with is the repair workers actually received Mr. Mannery's notes and knew what to do. I have not had to repeat or correct my requests either times I hired Houston Heights Helpers. I keep them in mind whenever I find things around the house I need help with.
I have used HHH several times. From little jobs to big jobs. They always come out as scheduled and do a very good job. They leave the jobsite very clean and price is as quoted in the beginning.
Update: we have used HHH 2 more times & have been very satisfied both times! Anthony has come out both of the recent times & does very quality work. Can’t thank you guys enough!!<br><br>Our home needed some siding and wood replaced so we called Houston Heights Helpers. Ed was very attentive and helpful when he came to do the estimate. I originally had a hard time finding a company that would come out & give us an estimate prior to coming out to fix everything so it was great that they provided a quote after seeing what needed to be done. We received a quote quickly and we’re able to accept & schedule everything online. Jason was our craftsmen & he was amazing! He replaced/painted 2 siding panels, wood trim around windows & around a door. He also added a downspout to our gutters. They did miss an item on the quote so I called and someone came out the next day to complete the work before I paid. We are very pleased with the work & will definitely be calling them for any other repairs we may need to the house. Thanks Houston Heights Helpers!!
Height Helpers did an amazing job installing floor outlets in my living room! They also installed new outlets in our garage and new outdoor fans. Reliable and efficient professionals!
We live out of town and have a house we are getting ready to sell. We have used Houston Heights Helpers for the past years as our go to handyman service and now they are helping us get our house ready. They are thorough and quick to respond to our needs. I really cant recommend them enough.
What started as a ceiling repair and light replacement, ended up being 2 pipe leaks in the attic, one that completely destroyed a portion of our kitchen ceiling. Ed and Anthony were really great. They were responsive and took the time to show they cared about getting the job done well and quickly. I couldn't be happier with how the repairs turned out.
Our back door needed to be repaired and adjusted. The work included repainting and readjusting the hinges due to an incorrect installation by the orig. builders. Anthony also redid the weatherstripping. He arrived on time, was respectful, and finished early. The door looks better than it did when we bought the house. The original scope and quote sent to me by Israel was equivalent to the final billing. I highly recommend Israel and Anthony. We are already talking about the next phase of repairs.
Heights Helpers was a great find! They helped me with two floor repairs. One was to replace a damaged board in my red oak floor--perfect job! The other was to stretch carpet to make it smooth in the two bedrooms without hardwoods. Again, a perfect job. They came on time, brought the right tools, knew what they were doing, and completed the work with efficiency. Plus they were tidy and quiet. Highly recommend.
Israel quoted and completed the replacement of the soffits on my home. The work was done on schedule and at the quoted price, and the results were fantastic. I highly recommend him and Houston Heights.
This was my first time using HHH. As a busy Realtor, homeowner and landlord, I need a good handyman very often for myself and my clients. It is hard to find a good handyman. They did a great job the first time, but wanted to bill a little extra. After that they were way too expensive to hire for the work they would perform. Now they seem to have completely priced themselves out of what I will afford.
From the time of my initial contact with Israel to estimate and quote to when Anthony (my handyman) left yesterday, everything went very well, on time, exceeding my expectations for quality, cleanliness, and ease of doing work with.<br><br>I had some work inside a wall requiring removal of drywall, closing up an old sewer / drain pipe the previous owner had left open and closing up the wall and painting. From the initial quote scheduled online, working with HHH was super simple and straight forward. I scheduled a visit online with Israel Perez to quote my work. He got back to me with an online the quote the next day, and scheduling was pretty easy and they could come when it worked for me (around the holidays).<br><br>When Israel and Anthony came to work on my wall, they were very clean, laid down carpet covers, worked quickly, quietly, and to very high quality. They were there to provide a solution that suited the situation (which required learning when wall was opened). At the end of the day, the work (including drywall and paint) was done so well I kept thinking "it's like they hadn't even been there", it was so well matched to before.<br><br>I will continue to call on HHH for construction / handyman work around the house in the future! Definitely recommend.
Friendly and efficient. Prices are fair (~$250 vs. a $600+ plumber estimate) for the work I needed. They made sure to show the work was well completed. I appreciate that they offer a variety of services because they would definitely be my first choice when I need something repaired again. I especially appreciate the free estimate broken down by work - incredibly transparent and you can select which components of work you would like to include after seeing the prices.
HHHH hung 2 chandeliers for us. They were efficient and respectful of our house. While here we discussed future projects which they will handle. Nice to have this service in the area.
Israel did a great job re-tiling our kitchen floor and painting our ceiling. Everything was easy and we were even able to get it done while we were out of town!
I highy recommend HHH, they did a great job on fixing many different tasks in my house. They were on-time, responsive and cared about their work. Isreal and Rigo were great and I would definitely use them again.
Wow! This is really a slick operation to get help I need quickly & easily. It was so easy to book & meet the rep. He was able to give me great insight & advice. I'll be able to get quickly the fixes I need to just get on with my life. I appreciated the professional, friendly, clean & clear interface to get this kind of work done!
Feb 2021 freeze repairs in my dining room. Finally found someone to do the work-dry wall, trim, backsplash paint, electrical, etc. Jonathan was genuine, easy to work with, understood the job and kept on top of the project and his team. He noticed immediately areas that needed additional attention or were not finish without me having to say somthing. You could tell he took pride in the work completed. His team was on time, worked diligently and were friendly. They had open access to the house, I trusted them completely. Estimate was low, actual was higher, some items were not in quote. I also should have asked more questions and asked for more clarification. Overall, things went smoothly, scheduling is always a challenge with everyone's busy life; we managed. Very pleased! I will definitely be using them in the future.
I have used Houston Heights Helpers twice now on two different properties, and they have been really great to work with. The scheduling, payment, etc is all online and easy to use. Quotes are itemized which makes it easy to see exactly what you are paying for (not all contractors itemize).<br><br>The workers sent to the house all have been very skilled and respectful. They leave the property clean and work as scheduled. We did have some instances of tardiness but overall they did the job in the time frame required of the job. The quality of the work was excellent, and if I had any concerns it was addressed right away.<br><br>If you have any questions or concerns, it was very easy to get a hold of the project manager. We worked with Ed and he called me right away anytime I texted. We will continue to use Houston Heights Helpers in the future. We highly recommend them!
I was given this given this company's name from a friend who is also a real estate agent. I set up an appointment for Roger to come out and give me an estimate on a few items that I'd been wanting to do around the house. Long story short, after our initial meeting, Roger ghosted me and didn't follow through when he said he'd call me back to answer a few questions I had. This went on for about a month and several times me reaching out, until I finally gave up and decided to look elsewhere. Perhaps, the scope of work I needed done wasn't worth his or the company's time, nevertheless, I would not refer this company to anyone else.
Great experience. Very professional and easy to use. I had them fix some rotting soffit and a rotting threshold and deck boards. Arrived on time, did the work, cleaned up after. Even tightened some screws on my gate. Will definitely use them again!
I needed them to remove a large piece of built-in furniture. They did a great job and worked very quickly, and disposed of the large pieces of wood afterward.<br><br>Update 6/21: I have continued to use them for various work around the house and they’re always great. Highly recommended.
I have used Houston Heights Helpers for years now. They have performed both small and large jobs (garage renovation). They are on time, efficient and very friendly. I will use them again.
Roger was able to come early and was very communicative with us for the estimate. He was friendly and professional and was able to give advice on a custom door installation.
Heights Helpers was able to replace 2 outdoor light fixtures over my garage. Came out the day I called and finished in under one hour.<br>Great service and quality!
We used Heights Helpers to repair a sliding door in our hallway which had come off the tracks, as well as refinish our front door. Our repair man was punctual, actually arriving early. He was very professional and did high quality work on both repairs. We are so pleased with the work done as well as the ease of working with Heights Helpers. We definitely plan to use them in the future.
After a glowing review from my neighbors, I contacted Heights Helpers to have paver stones removed and a 13'x13' concrete slab patio poured in my backyard. Because they had also done great work for my neighbors, I also got a quote for some shelving in my kitchen and a complete bathroom remodel for 2 bathrooms. Thank God I started with the patio because that project was such a disaster that I am glad I never let them do any work inside my house.<br><br>The process of getting the quote, accepting it, and paying the deposit was seamless. I was impressed with how efficient it was. I completed their scheduling form letting them know my availability for the next 3 weeks and never heard anything back. On Wednesday of week 3, I called Roger to ask if there was a date scheduled and he told me they would be there on Friday to start. This was the week of August 15. I let him know that I was going out of town because no one had contacted me so I didn't expect any work to be done that week. He said they could come the next day and be done by Friday then. I ended up having to rearrange my schedule to be home the next day so they could get started.<br><br>When they arrived, they quickly got the pavers removed and started framing the patio. During this time, I never saw or heard from Roger, the project manager I had been talking to. Roger mentioned they would be bringing a cement truck to pour but the men working only had bags of quick mix concrete to use. This was not what I was expecting and it turned out to be a bad choice. They didn't finish the project by Friday as Roger said, so I allowed them to continue working while I was out of town.<br><br>When I got back on Sunday, the patio was "finished" but it was uneven and rough, The cheap concrete wasn't floated properly and aggregate had risen to the top. Pieces started cracking and flaking off. I called Roger to let him know this wasn't acceptable and he said he'd send someone back to take a look. A worker came back the following week and remarked how bad it looked and said they would pour a thin layer of concrete to even it out. I told him that wasn't acceptable because I knew that would not fix it permanently.<br><br>After a long wait trying to get in contact with Roger, he finally showed up with a team to look at it. He actually commented about the quick concrete, "when they told me what they were going to do, I knew that wouldn't work."<br><br>WHAT?!?!?! As the project manager, why would you let them do that to my house then? I was floored by that comment.<br><br>The only solution was to jackhammer the new job out and start completely over. I agreed to this but could never get a firm date on when it would happen. Once again, people just showed up to my house unannounced to start working. There was absolutely ZERO project management or communication happening.<br><br>The patio is ripped up, it starts raining, and I never see the crew again for more than a week with ZERO communication about when they might be back. My entire backyard looks like a war zone. When Roger finally answers, he gets a team back out to finish it.<br><br>Once the patio is finished in September, the team doesn't remove the wooden forms after it is dried but I never hear from anyone again. During this entire period, I keep getting invoices for the remaining amount, but the invoice pricing is wrong.<br><br>I responded on Dec 22 and Jan 14 asking for the work to be finished. No response. I finally got an email on Feb 5 with this response from Roger:<br>"I will send someone over on Monday to remove the forms, sorry I have been trying to cutback on work the last few months."<br><br>Wait! You want me to pay for something that's not done but you've cut back on work so how am I on the hook here? Again, there was no consideration for my availability or if the timing worked for me.<br><br>That Monday was the winter storm, so I understand why no one was able to work but a guy randomly showed up the following Monday without any communication beforehand. 3 days later, I get an email to just "make sure the invoice is at the top of my inbox." 😡
Heights Helpers provided solid service at a competitive price. Their prices were consistent with other estimates I received but Heights Helpers was much more responsive and professional from start to finish. Will definitely be reaching out to these guys for help in the future.
I had a great experience with Roger! The process from start to finish was timely and super easy. It’s nice that you can schedule and pay online. They did a great job for a fair price. Would recommend!
The guys had a ceiling fan and garbage disposal to install, along with putting in a new attic stairs. The workmen were were affable and friendly, with a good work ethic. All work was done in a short amount of time.
Roger K. was very pleasant and professional. He accessed what I needed and sent me an estimate as promised. Although, I'm still working on estimates, don't hesitate to call this company. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Needed a screen door removed and replaced with a new one. From start to finish I was very pleased with the process. The gentlemen, Alex, that did the work was prompt, pleasant, professional, and did a great job.
So far my remodeling estimate experience has been very pleasant. I got an appointment on the website easily and Ed arrived on time. Courteous, knowledgeable and professional, Ed took notes and explained what needed to be done in addition to the changes I was requesting.<br>Update 11/08/20: I'm still waiting on the estimate to be able to use HH's services.
Scheduling initial estimate was easy & quickly done. Roger Kaufman came out & reviewed the list of needed repairs. He added extra detail & explained the best way to do some of them. Even some of the smaller items. Estimate came quickly & work scheduled online. Alex showed up on the scheduled 1st day . He went thru the list & we walked thru all the things that were needed. Alex was professional, kind, clearly skilled & able to take care of many repairs the 1st day! Along with his expertise Alex was neat & clean with his work area! Nice work too!<br>Communication is very important to me & Roger & Alex both kept me informed & were quickly responsive to phone calls & texts.<br>I will definitely be using them again & will recommend this company to others!
My realtor recommended Heights Helpers to correct some electrical issues that the buyer's inspection identified, and these guys promptly took care of all of the issues. They did a good job, the price was fair, and I would use them again in the future.
I used Houston Heights Helper to repair a door and to change another door into a barn style door. Roger was professional and responsive when I had any questions. The website makes it easy to schedule an appointment and to pay the bill.
We hired Heights Helpers to relocate an interior door which required repair to the wooden floor and some reconfiguration of a recessed bathroom cabinet. They also installed a wood beam with columns to create a division between living and dining room. We are very impressed with their work! They were communicative and personable and scheduled around our availability easily. The house was left clean after their work. Impeccable floor work and dry wall work! I felt they really listened to our needs and delivered, even doing a few ancillary tasks without much additional expense (eg, patching extra holes from TV mount, patching ceiling hole where a recessed light was). We will definitely be using them in the future for other projects.
The work was done well. However the scheduling was bad. They rescheduled me the day of and then were late after the reschedule. Project Manager did not apologize/call me or do anything for the inconvenience. Specifics: I had about 10 hours of work scheduled with various projects. I scheduled two weeks in advance and then texted the day before to verify they were still on track. They were suppose to be here between 8:30 and 9:30. At 7:49am the day of I get a text that they needed to reschedule, but could be there in the afternoon. I said I wanted them to start that afternoon since I took a vacation day specifically for this purpose. I had not heard from anyone at 2:30 so I called. He then showed up around 3:30. Since he did not finish, he said he would be there the next day at 8:00am. At 9:00 I had not heard from anyone so I called. He showed up around 10. I realize that scheduling cannot be exact, however, it was a full days of work. A business should know before that morning that they cannot be there.<br>Update: The owner emailed me twice and apologized. Said that this was not normal - which based on the other 5 star reviews is probably true.
Absolutely wonderful experience!! The communication was excellent, any calls were returned very quickly. The job done was on time..and in fact earlier than expected. Juan was the Helper assigned to the job and couldnt be more professional. I am extremely happy with the entire process and plan to use them many times in the future.
As a new homeowner, I was worried about finding the right handyman--someone who would do the job right for a fair price. Heights Helpers fit the bill. Plus, the handyman arrived on the job early and finished early. I recommend them.
Great experience. I was planning to replace a set of french doors but Roger helped me understand a simple repair job was all that was needed. All the work was finished timely and met my expectations. Won't hesitate to use HH again.
This is the second time we've used the Helpers and it went as smoothly as the first time. The workmanship was excellent. We had 2 new French Doors installed an they look great. Try them out you won't regret that you did.
Richard with Heights Helpers did a great job removing huge stacked washer/dryer from a difficult location.<br>He then installed new washer/dryer for me. He was professional and patient with a tedious situation.<br>Heights Helpers has done several repairs/home improvements for me and I have confidence in their work.
I have used Heights helpers several times in the past so when I needed assistance hanging some light fixtures, there was never a question of who I should call. Not only were they able to help me but they did so in record time bypassing normal booking channels. The brothers are friendly, professional and accommodating. They charge a reasonable price for good solid dependable work. I highly recommend Heights Helpers.
Repeat customer with Heights Helpers. Round two has gone just as smoothly and timely as round one using their service. I am working with Roger this time around, and his extensive experience in the industry is clear from the get go. Would definitely recommend them.
We had Heights Helpers install two new electrical outlets in the master bathroom. They did a fantastic job. Workman was punctual and professional.
Heights Helpers sent a pleasant, well qualified person to tackle my list of odd jobs and minor repairs. He did a great job. I couldn't have been happier with the work accomplished for a very fair price. Next time i need repairs or projects done at the house, I won't think to book with anyone else. Heights Helpers is who I will call. Recommended without reservation
I used Houston Heights Helpers five or so years ago to replace an exterior door and do one or two other things. They were great back then, but they appeared to have grown a ton since I last used them, so I was worried that when I recently reached out to them that they would come back really expensive. In fact, they were slightly cheaper than the other couple of independent handymen I talked to and the work was great again. I'll be reaching out to them again soon for a few fence repairs.
Professional, courteous, friendly......BUT...<br><br>Shower head that was replaced made a high pitched whining noise. I ended up fixing it myself.<br><br>Requested three times (twice before the apt) that they add adjusting the door in my kitchen to be higher so it didn’t drag. Was never completed.<br><br>On another occasion I had them try to fix a slow drain. They recommended snaking the drain which they did. It did not fix the problem.<br><br>I’d suggest anyone who uses them make sure you are present when the work is being done.<br><br>It is because of these things that I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. They did actually do a good job painting my ceiling and installing a light fixture.
Could not have had a worse experience. The morning they were supposed to arrive to do 3 days of work, they cancelled after they were already 2 hours late. Strike 1. They showed up the next day with the wrong details of what areas needed to be fixed. I had to walk the handyman through the various parts of the house that I already went through when initially quoted. Strike 2. The handyman made sure to let me know he was on overtime already, and I was lucky he was even here. Not so much a strike, but not great customer service either. Then they only did one day of work and I didn't hear from him for a week. Strike 3. After multiple emails and texts to Roger with no response, I got someone else to complete the work. They finally followed up with me 3 months later looking to collect as I still had an open account. The whole process from beginning to end was a nightmare and would highly recommend against.
After much searching we went with Heights Helpers to build out our nursery (put up pocket doors and paint the room). They were beyond professional, fast, easy to work with, and dedicated to high quality. I also felt safe letting them in our house to perform the work. I could not recommend Ed and Dustin more! We will definitely use them again in the future.
Very impressed with the service I received today. I somehow sent the wrong location and James was incredibly understandingand patient and met me at the correct location. He was very detailed and professional when reviewing the work to be done. Plan to use them for upcoming projects.
Friendly, courteous, professional, and prompt. I used them to install a sun sail in my back yard and would use these guys again for sure. Job turned out to be a tad more expensive than I was hoping for and required a return visit for completion, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. But otherwise great.
Please forgive the delay of this review. "Life Happened"! I'm so grateful that you left a door Hanger" advertising just what we needed. I had already called and received several bids for a plumbing job that I considered small but the bids were extremely high . I truly felt their representatives were "crooks". I received a visit the same day I called H.H. You sent a service rep the next day.The job took less then 30min. The area was left spotless. The best part WE SAVED $250; Heights Helpers you are our heroes!!!!! The Porter Family
I’m not sure why they kept nagging me for a review but after the 5th or so request here I am. I had a small project scoped and a quote provided. It was a little high so I asked them to work with me. They did and I decided to move forward with them. Then when the work was all finished the price for the job was more than we agreed to. I kept asking why and every time they have a different answer. For example... “you didn’t supply paint.” However the quote I had said I needed to provide the paint color or else they would have to color match. Then they said “we had to move electrical.” I’m not sure how they didn’t understand that was needed when there was a light fixture in the middle of the wall where they were cutting a door in. I understand surprises come up and if electrical had been in the wall and there were no outward signs (fixtures, outlets, switches, etc.) then I can understand there may be some extra cost : labor. But no I am not paying more because you didn’t plan for something that was in plain sight. Then they said it was because I changed where the door was to be placed after the guy did the rough cut. I absolutely did not. I told him from the beginning where I wanted it cut and he cut it in a different place. He texted me mid day after it was done to show me what he did to which I immediately came home to talk to him how to fix it. Again, not my problem that you did something different than we agreed to and then had to fix it. It’s unfortunate because for the most part I was happy with the quality of the work and would have used them again. They aren’t the cheapest and I don’t mind paying a little more for quality and reliability but I can’t sign up for jobs that have a 20% overage on cost when no surprises happened and no scope change happened. I wanted to use them for a bathroom addition until all this mess came up with billing. That won’t be happening.
Heights Helpers is honest, reliable, fast to respond and they’ve done an excellent job on everything we’ve hired them for over the years - projects of various size and complexity, planned projects and emergencies. We’ve used them multiple times for all of the above and have been highly satisfied. Above all, I trust them to be in our home.
Unbelievable service and quality. Had a major hole in my kitchen wall, and when these guys were done you couldn't see the repair even with a magnifying glass!! And the paint they had made was an exact match. These guys are amazing, I highly recommend!! 10***********!!
Was very easy process and I am very happy with the results. Got my free estimate for the work scope I wanted (no up-sell) and they got back to me with a fair bid that was clearly itemized. Scheduled the work online and everything was done quickly and they even came up with a great solution that got us a better end result than we originally thought was possible. Easy payment via online module. Will use them again.
I had a variety of odd jobs for the helpers everything from fence repair, garage door staining and building a tree house. On the initial walk through James was great. He told me what was in their capability and what was not. He even recommended another company to replace the glass in my back doors. The quote came back, and I was very happy with the price on the garage door stain and playset/tree house. It was well below other quotes I received on the same work. Jeff and Bob showed up a week later to do all the work and were super nice and efficient. They also checked in regularly with me to make sure the work was progressing like I wanted it. Since the project, 2 of my neighbors have used Heights Helpers since I wouldn’t shut up about great they were and they were also very impressed. This company will definitely be my go to for any small job that comes up.
Roger has done various projects for me over the last 10 years. Some were minor repairs & others were larger such as the great patio he built for me. He provided the necessary documents to obtain approval from my HOA. He always provides you with a price prior to starting the job. The price is fair for the quality of work. I highly recommend him & his company.
It has been a pleasure working with Ed and Alek with multiple major renovations and projects at my home. They are professional, accommodating and so knowledgeable about home repairs and design. Ed can give you multiple options to approach your project. Alek is a master at his craft and a perfectionist! Helpers can do anything!
Extremely impressed with the work Houston Heights Helpers provided at my home. I thought I was going to need to replace a storm door, but Houston Heights Helpers were able to fix the existing door. Timely and professional — Highly recommend to family and friends!
Roger managed our back-yard project putting in sod, a sprinkler system and gutters. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure the project was completed smoothly and in a timely manner. It was such a relief to find Roger, as we had been having a difficult time finding a landscaping crew that was reliable and had time to do the work. We were very pleased with the outcome.
My family worked with Roger from Houston Heights Helpers. Roger was professional, efficient, listened to our wants and needs and made it all happen in a reasonable amount of time. We love the work he and the crew did! I would recommend HHH to anyone who needed a job done, large or small.
Roger and the team at Heights Helpers has always been a reliable go to handyman for anything I have needed. They respond very quickly, give estimates prior to the work being completed, are professional and overall do a fantastic job! I would highly recommend for any jobs you need around the house.
Heights Helpers has completed multiple home improvement projects for me. From small paint jobs, electrical outlets, and installed ceiling fan in my bathroom. Love their team and there professionalism!
I worked closely with James through many projects as I got my house prepared to sell. He was always kind, courteous, professional, and timely with the work. On multiple occasions they were able to find a quick fix and save off the original quote. They worked at our home all day and you hardly knew they were there. They got the work done fast and cheap. I won’t do work with another contractor again. Houston Helpers will be the only call I make.
My first home project was just completed by the team at Houston Heights Helpers. My experience was exceptional, from the 1st to last call throughout the project. They were timely in responding, informative in addressing my questions and needs, as well as near perfect in the project outcomes. I've already planned a 2nd project with HHH. A big thanks to Ed, Jeff, Roger & James.
This may be a repeat of a review I posted on Facebook - anyway, we have been completely happy with installation interior and exterior railings at our house. The carpenter was skilled and polite and the job was completed in a day. I might add that Houston Heights Helpers did extensive work on a rental house we own a few months ago, replacing rotten wood and screens. That was also well done.
Let me just start by saying I NEVER write reviews, but I had to for these guys. They are truly so wonderful. Their system is very easy to use. They give you a quote up front and are honest with you about what things will cost. They give you more and less expensive options, and never try to do the most expensive thing just because it's best for them. I've worked with them twice now and both times I felt like their prices were very reasonable and they ended up matching exactly what was quoted. Both times Bill arrived and was able to get things done in a timely manner. The second time, he was able to fix a cabinet door, our bathroom drawers, and our ceiling fan in less than an hour and a half because he knew I needed to get to work. They are also very communicative with regards to their schedule. Roger called to schedule my appointment as soon as he knew I needed some work done, and when they couldn't accommodate their originally planned date, Roger texted and asked if we could reschedule. When I didn't follow up right away, he followed up with me to make sure my repairs were schedule. Not to mention the variety of work they are able to do. Bill changed our plugs to be up to code, working with our braker box and plugs, fixed a leaky sink, fixed drawers, etc. etc. They can really do anything. They are truly the best, most fair and honest people I've worked with so far in Houston, and I will continue to give them my business for any and all home repair needs I might have.
Ed and his brother came to my home to finish out the inside of a cabinet that was originally intended for a wine fridge, but I did not wish to use it for this purpose, and installed a pull out drawer. They were punctual and did an extremely beautiful, professional job for a very decent price.
Houston Heights Helpers defines the words, "professional," "courteous," "on-time," "efficient," "ethical," "experienced" and "responsive." They have undertaken my handyman tasks and made the experience easy and worry-free. Most importantly, the quality of the work is first rate. They keep their promises and live up to all their obligations with care and attention given every step of the way. They are organized with online scheduling and bill paying. Ed, who provided the estimate and oversaw the work, was in constant contact with me and made sure I was satisfied and happy from beginning to end. Never worry about being at the mercy of a contractor ever again! BRAVO Ed and Houston Heights Helpers! Thank you for everything! I will be scheduling more work and give you my highest recommendation.
Roger and the crew at HHH were extremely professional in all dealings with us. They worked through a bid for repairs and maintenance required on a home purchase in a short period of time and it only got better with the work coordination. They are very responsive. We will definitely use them as needed in the future and would highly recommend their services.
The helpers helped with a grout/sealant issue on some delicate tile in my master bathroom. They did perfect work, and I expect nothing less. Gary was polite and professional. I look forward to working with him again.
Had heights helpers come out and shore up an outdoor flight of stairs. Darn thing had been wobbly for years. Heights helpers did an amazing job at a great price. The entire job was completed in one day and they left it as clean as a whistle. Can't wait to get them out for the next project!
We have used the Heights Helpers on some big projects with our home. They have been great to work with. They did quality work in a timely manner, and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone!
Roger and his team were excellent to work with. They installed a fence and put sod down which looked amazing. We needed a quick turnaround on an exterior brick job and they exceeded expectations. The guys doing the work were on time, professional and reasonably priced.
We have used Heights Helpers for two pretty big projects on our new home--installing a side fence, and paining the entire interior. They did a great job on the fence--arrived timely (very important to us, so we could bring our dogs when we moved in) and followed our specifications. When the owner, Roger, came by a few weeks later, he noticed our new gate was slightly warped and had a worker come fix it, without us asking. We had more issues with the painting job--namely, the original painter did not use the specified Sherwin Williams paint but rather a cheaper brand. We noticed this a few weeks after the job finished, when the original painter finally (after many emails) brought by the extra paint, and when our walls marked very easily. When I let Roger know about this, he immediately offered to send out someone new to repaint the house. This was not insignificant for him--it was five days worth of someone's time, and additional materials. But he did it, and the new painter (Alex) worked very efficiently and did a great job. If anything, going through this (initially) bad experience made me trust Roger and his company's work even more--he's clearly committed to providing honest, quality work to his customers. We look forward to using them for all our handyman jobs in the future.
We called Houston Heights Helpers to come out for a few repairs around our house. They were very professional and responsive; however our aggressive timeline for repair didn't quite line up with their availability. We were very impressed with their knowledge and competitive pricing and will keep them in mind for any future work we need.
HHH offers many services from lawn care to remodeling work. I used them for some handyman work around my house several times. Roger and his teams were prompt and professional each time. They always made sure we were happy before they finished. I feel like HHH is a company that fosters a family atmosphere and that we were not just clients but a part of the HHH family.
