David came into my home, assessed the issues, took initial photos to show me and explained what needed to be done. 2 days later, crew was in and out in about 4 hours. I used Air Quality Express earlier this year due to an issue with mold in a small area of my house. It is hard to gauge the quality of this type of work because the company does not test for mold. They will come in and visually inspect but you must take their word for it unless you hire someone else to test for mold. Air Quality Express came and visually confirmed there was mold in the ceiling. So they will remove the ceiling sheet rock area and treat the area for mold and use their technique which may take a day. You need to then hire someone to come install new sheetrock and paint. I would say for what they do the do good work, but it is hard to know because they specialize in removing mold only and not getting the area back to how it looked prior to the mold appearing. I had no issues with the crew that handled my job. They came in on a friday and did the work and left their machines to run over the weekend. I paid a down payment as requested prior to the work. However I had an issue with zelle trying to transfer some money from another account and I asked if I could pay the next business day which would be monday. The work was not complete on friday as their machines were still there and the area was closed off. I called the office to explain my payment issues and asked if I could delay the payment by one business day. The office said no and I asked why and they told me the manager said no, but he was not in the office at the moment to speak with. I was told the manager would call me later to discuss but I never received a call regarding this. They waived credit card fees so I paid because I was trying to be a good customer. To me this is poor management that does not care about the customer. The work was not completed and I told them I would pay the next business day. After the team came and removed their machines, I had another contractor add the sheet rock and paint. I noticed an issue afterwards but it was hard to get this resolved. Since it was a minor issue I let it go. If you are so adamant to receive payment before the work is complete you should have better customer service. I am writing this review to say that after my experience I will not use this company again due to poor management and just wanted others to be aware of the issue I came across. The crew was nice and courteous, but if you as a manager tell a customer you will call them back you should call them back, especially if you are adamant about receiving payment before the work is done.

We had mold starting to grow in our vents and gave Air Quality Express a call. Josh was very professional, personable, and seemed quite knowledgeable on the job and what we actually needed done. They didn’t try to up-charge us either. They got us scheduled within a week and the job took a couple hours. Pictures were provided of the before and after with the invoice. Will update if we encounter any issues.

Here is review from my tenant: This is the second time we have used this service. The first time was excellent. They moved items and put them back when they left. They made sure to leave the fans on so the place was aired out. Today, they came right away. But they left a mess for me to clean up. They moved things out of one cabinet and put them in a completely different one, they moved my trash can and put a bunch of good products inside of it. They left trash that was on the dan originally, on the floor. I can say I am very much not happy with the way they did it this time. And I have a headache from being in here for a few minutes because of the way the place smells. They turned off all of the fans inside of the house so there was no circulation since they left. They apparently thought it a good idea to turn the AC down to 70 on the way out instead of leaving the fans on. I am too tired to try and put everything back together properly tonight. I will end up doing the rest tomorrow.

In late August, 2025, Air Quality Express did an AC Duct Cleaning and UV light Installation. My allergy got worse since July and had running nose, congestion and headache all the time at home. Had to take strong antihistamine like Benadryl or Costco AllerClear D-24 hr plus nasal spraying every day. Contacted two AC Repairing Companies. One was recommended by a gentleman from Richmond Air who has serviced our AC for the past 10 years. Another was to check AC malfunction and provided a quote. Both companies did not provide any photo how AC ducts looked like. So, I searched X Grok for companies exclusively for AC Duct Cleaning and Grok showed 4 companies. Contacted two, one company showed me the photos of dirty AC duct. Lastly David from Air Quality Express came and carefully examined everything. Particularly David took a picture of vent and showed me how terrible the molds were. Among four companies, Air Quality Express is the only one which checked vents to show how bad the molds in vent were. This is a major reason I decided to go with Air Quality Express. Also, David provided a very competitive price for a full-service cleaning of AC Duct and main units and we signed the contract right away. David is very professional and patient to answer all my questions. His quote listed details about every job to be done. Next day David’s team of three people showed up at scheduled time. They put two Air Scrubber machines in the house to attract contaminants and particles in the air and covered everything with plastic film under each vent before cleaning. Overall, it is an excellent experience with all three people carefully performing every step without much noise and dirty debris everywhere. The service comes with 3-year warranty with basic maintenance once a year. In addition to cleaning and sanitizing vents, David also told his team to paint the ugly yellow vent to white free of charge so they match to the color of ceiling. A trivia thing but great additional service. It has been 6 days since Air Quality Express did AC Duct Cleaning and sanitizing, I have not used any strong antihistamine and nasal spray and those running nose, congestion and headache seems disappeared instantly . The AC Duct Cleaning and Sanitizing really improves the quality of life for those who are sensitive to mold allergy. I am extremely grateful that David did the AC vent check and showed me the pictures. We cannot see how bad the molds are in the AC Ducts as it is not accessible except professionals. But everyone can grab a chair or ladder to check vent easily and see if there is mold. I would strongly recommend David to everyone for AC duct cleaning and sanitizing. If there were 6 stars, I would give it to Air Quality Express as they exceed every expectation I hoped.

We needed some immediate relief of mold and mildew that had formed around some of our ceiling air vents. Edgar and his team came out and did an amazing job of removing the mold from the vents and cleaning the hvac and ducts. He even provided before and after pictures. Huge difference! We did have a small issue afterwards but Fernando and his team came out and immediately addressed the issue. Very pleased with the service and value provided. We Appreciate Edgar, Fernando and Sam. This place showed up on time, checked out my equipment thoroughly, told me what I needed and nothing more, set up a time to knock out the work, crew showed up on time, completed the job as quoted, and even cleaned up after themselves. Would recommend to anybody that needs duct cleaning.

So I had call two other companies before finding air quality and calling them last minute. The first company I called, the guy didn't even want to crawl up into the Attic and see what the situation was. The second company I called (John Moore) had a whole host of issues that I won't even list here. I called air quality last minute, and they were able to come out that same day to take a look at the insulation in my attic. My living room, which had very low crawl space, had absolutely zero insulation and the rest of the insulation in my house was very old and I believe inefficient. It was Edgar and Luigi that showed up to look through the attic and get some quotes for me. They quoted me for full removal, vacuuming and clean out, sealing of light and ceiling fixtures, and blowing in new R-38 insulation 14-16 in high. I was originally only planning on doing just the living room, but with the age and quality of the current insulation throughout the attic, I figured I might as well just do the whole thing. The crew arrived on Thursday, July 31st and immediately got to work taping off the area and floors to prevent any messes or scraped walls. I was already impressed by the job they did right there as the taping off was very thorough. A crew of about 5 to 6 guys would go up into the Attic, disappear for a while (though I heard them up in the ceiling joking around and laughing which was kind of funny), then they would reappear with 20 to 30 bags of insulation to throw out. They would take extended breaks because it's the middle of summer (1000% reasonable for them to take time to cool off and hydrate) and then they would get back at it. It took them all day Thursday to remove and vacuum clean the attic. Then they came back out on Friday morning (August 1st), and began sealing all the fixtures and then blowing in the insulation. They finished by the end of the morning. Like I said, I thought the crew was incredibly professional, very efficient, and also very easy to just chat with and talk to. I like to know what exactly they're doing and the lead guy was great at explaining everything. They also provided before, during and after photos which I'll attach to this review. Overall, even though it was expensive, I think their crew was worth the cost to get brand new insulation throughout the entire home. Hopefully this will help bring down cooling cost with the outrageous raising rates of electricity.

They sent their crew out that day to help me get rid of the mold. They did a wonderful job and took after pics. I went up in the attic with David to ensure work had been done to my satisfaction. Technician arrived on time, but that’s where the positives ended. He opened our duct for inspection without bringing anything to reseal it, then pressured us into doing an immediate cleaning, quoting over $1500 for two units. Since the ducts were already open, I agreed. They brought in two more workers, finished everything in about 30 minutes, and only did a basic surface clean inside the plenum and connecting ducts—nothing near a full-service job. They didn’t touch the registers and didn’t follow proper procedures for containing mold spores or debris. Cleanup was poor, and when I mentioned that other companies offer full duct cleaning for less, they suddenly offered a 50% discount. The whole experience felt pushy and unprofessional. I would not recommend Air Quality Express if you’re looking for thorough, safe, or honest service.

Excellent and fast experience! I am soon moving in with my widow aunt who is elderly and has heavily neglected the house. I scheduled a free estimate for them to come out and check the damages and then they send an invoice via email to see if this aligns with you. I spoke to Mr. Edgar and Fernando the whole time, both are responsive and great attention to details. They are also able to answer any questions or concerns I may have. The process then takes from early morning to early afternoon but same day usually for air duct cleaning and replacements. I was recommended by a friend to them and I am so grateful and happy with their excellent service! **Mold, Money, and Missed Opportunities!** I strongly advise against using Air Quality Express for any mold remediation services. After initially hiring them for mold remediation, I paid for the service and was promised a complete job. Unfortunately, I was met with a series of unprofessional and unethical practices from this company. The first red flag occurred during the service when one of their workers unexpectedly told me that I needed to pay an additional $400, even though I had already received a firm quote of $1,525. Naturally, this raised concerns, and I refused to pay the extra charge. I immediately called their office to report them and after confirming with the office that my original quote was the agreed price, I felt uneasy about the integrity of the company. This attempt to charge more than the agreed-upon amount made me question whether the job was actually being done thoroughly. To ensure I wasn’t being taken advantage of, I called another mold remediation company for an independent inspection when they left. I did not inform this second company that Air Quality Express had already performed any work, as I wanted their assessment to be completely unbiased. This company took photos and confirmed that mold still remained, and that the work Air Quality Express had promised to complete was not done. I immediately called Air Quality Express to report this and sent an email outlining my concerns. Instead of addressing the issue, they sent the same dishonest crew back to my home, despite my email asking them not to. Reluctantly, I allowed the crew back in, hoping they would take the opportunity to complete the work they had failed to finish. They arrived and said they were there to clean the mold in areas they had previously disregarded. However, after only being in my home for a short time, they said they were done and left without showing me any photos of their work. I requested pictures of the work they just completed and wanted the same angles showing the mold that still remained, I was told that David from their office would send them to me. A bit later, I received two photos from David via text, it was not what I had asked for. Instead of photos showing the cleaned mold areas, it was a picture of what appeared to be a spray or some product applied all over the remaining mold, rather than the proper cleaning that should have been done. At this point, I called another company to come out and inspect their so-called "fix." This company took photos that Air Quality Express conveniently failed to provide, and those photos showed that the mold was still there. I then had to move forward with hiring another company to complete the work, paying again for the service that Air Quality Express failed to deliver. To add to my frustration, I am now out of pocket twice, and Air Quality Express has failed to offer a refund. Their excuses for the incomplete work have been both inadequate and unconvincing. This company’s practices are unethical and irresponsible. The lack of professionalism, integrity, and customer care is appalling. I have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau (as have others) and will be pursuing further actions to ensure I am reimbursed for the money I spent to fix the incomplete work. I have photos, witness testimony, and recordings to substantiate my claims, and I am taking the next steps to address this situation. ****Updated Review**** - March 27, 2025 Issue was resolved.

Very organized, methodical and thorough. Covered all the furniture carefully. One guy worked the vents, the other guy the attic ducts. Did a great job. Only small glitch was some dirty footprints on the stair carpet, which they cleaned twice and restored. The team knew what they were doing from start to finish.

Didnt like the rep David with pushy attitude but my fault for not getting additional quotes. Told I will recieve before and after pictures. Nope. Just a text with 6 pictures. No info no report not even a thank you. The intake was never cleaned. Funny enough after paying $1925.00, Im now vacuuming it out myself. On a positive note, the guys who came to do the work were professional and nice unlike the rep after he collected the deposit . Im convinced these reviews were paid for. My recommendation get another company.

We are thrilled with our service from Air Quality Express. They came to out inspect our HVAC for mold. They found the issue quickly and explained their removal process very thoroughly. They sent me tons of pictures before and after the service and were responsive to all of my questions. We dreaded seeking remedy for this issue after bad experiences with other service companies, but Air Quality Express made the process seamless. Great communication, arrived on time and finished on time.

Air quality express came out and gave me a quote and the quote was great! Then they came out and went above and beyond in my opinion. They got all the ducks and mold cleaned out and added extra protection to keep the mold from coming back. I would definitely suggest them if you have a mold problem in your ventilation system!

Great experience. The guys were quick but thorough. Pictures speak a thousand words and what I saw in my vents needed immediate correction. I’m beyond happy that they were able to make an appointment so quickly to give my wife and I peace of mind.

My elderly dad's home has leaking vents and subsequent mold. I was planning to have it fixed for him. I had Air Quality Express come out and assess the situation and give me a quote for (an astounding) $15k, but in my desperation to have this fixed as quickly as possible, and because I am a single mom with a very busy work schedule, and no extra time to go back and forth with companies, I scheduled the work, and submitted a $3k down payment. Upon telling my dad (the homeowner) he said that was way too much and that he refused to let me have this wok done with this company. I called immediately and let them know the situation, and that I am not the homeowner, so I can't have this work done without his permission, and they are refusing to refund my $3k down payment. I just signed the contract 5 days ago, and no work has been performed. Again, I am a single mom, trying to help my widowed, elderly father, who is not in good health, and I do not have an extra $3k to give to this company for no work. I am disappointed that they are choosing to exploit me in this already difficult, expensive, and dangerous situation.

I was very impressed with the quality of service for my air duct cleaning with Air Quality! Edgar and his team covered all surfaces before removing years of built-up mold and crud from the ducts. They also power washed AND painted every air vent. Then they vacuumed the entire house. My air ducts and vents are now sparkling. Great experience!

We had a great experience with their cleaning service. They showed up on time, worked carefully throughout our home, and did a thorough cleaning of our duct system with provided before/after photos. Fairly priced for excellent work. Will be a return customer when needed.

These guys are great, professional, friendly, and done quick.

Technicians arrived early, got right to work and did a very capable and complete job. Our Dryer Vent had an obstruction (cleaning brush that came detached when I was trying to clean the vent). They got it out, finished cleaning the vent completely, reconnected the flex hose fro the Dryer, recaulked the vanes on the outside wall and cleaned up thoroughly. All good!

Air Quality Express provided evidence for everything that needed to be done, responded quickly, and were easy to work with. A plumbing leak led to black mold in our bathroom, and when I came home after the shower had been demoed, they had cleaned up the demo mess completely. Total professionals, they know what they’re doing. Would 100% use them again.

We contacted Air Quality Express to have an inspection and approved their work to clean and remediate the duct dirt and possible mold issues. The team arrived shortly after noon and were completed by 3:20. Thorough and thoughtful in completing the work. Highly satisfied with the results and the efficiency of the gentlemen who accomplished the work. Sam, Elias and Celso were very efficient and worked around the area with care and respect. Updated review: I had Air Quality Express come out to clean our entire AC system due to moisture/mold build up a little over a month ago. The team completed the job in a timely manner. A few weeks later I noticed an issue with the sealing of one of the ducts. I contacted the company and eventually my complaint was forwarded to the owner. Professional, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. We bought an older home and the previous owner never had the AC or vents cleaned, therefore it was pretty bad. The team was quick to take care of it and based on the photos they sent, we are free of mold and have clean dryer vents.

They scheduled almost instantly as followed up right away to confirm address and kept constant communication for when they’d be there. Quote was given within minutes or walking out our front door. Competing company was the exact opposite took longer to come out didn’t seem to truly care and that alone steered us to go with these guys. The air vents were not cleaned to our satisfaction during the first visit, my husband and I checked after the service technicians left and found a bit of dust resting in the ducts. Sam, Edgar, and the other technicians did a great job! They were very responsive to any questions I had throughout the process and were conscientious to my concerns. As they were working on cleaning each of the A/C vents throughout the house, they took the special care to lay out plastic sheets to keep the area as clean as possible and vacuumed to get any remaining debris before they left. The office was also very responsive through email and phone whenever I reached out to them. Overall, I would recommend working with Air Quality Express as they were very attentive and had a great attitude!

Over the phone also reiterated that properly treated and killed mold can be painted over, and details about the warranty for the HVAC mold coming back. Overall the company has been extremely responsive for both the initial quote/inspection and performing the work same day. They clearly focus on receiving positive reviews when work hasn't met original expectations. ---------- Original Review 2 Stars Charged $2,400 to clean up some mold around a/c vents, and clean clothes dryer vent. They did come and clean a bunch of things, and sprayed some chemicals, and painted over the mold spots. They ran fan/filter boxes for a few hours while working, and vacuumed a variety of things. Service was today, so I can't speak to if mold comes back, or if clothes dryer functions properly, but, I do know that a/c returns were not all cleaned ( they did 1, other 2 have some dust on them) and I know they didn't re-seal duct plenum in my attic, and some of the dryer vent clog lint was just left in the attic floor. People were friendly, but I have strong questions about the value for the very high price.

Ran did a great job. He helped inspect if we had mold, explained process and did a wonderful job with cleaning and UV light installation to prevent mold. He also helped clear dust in the dryer. Ron was very professional and thorough with his inspection and assessment of the issue. They were punctual and the crew began working as soon as they arrived and did not stop until the work was completed. The invoice/receipt is accompanied by before and after photos of the work completed and a detailed description of what was done to alleviate the issue(s). Sky from Air Quality Express came and completed a full system cleaning for both our upstairs and downstairs AC systems, as well as installing a new Solar Attic Vent Fan to help reduce the temperature in our attic space. Our dryer was not drying quite right. Called the company and the technician they sent was Sky. He was punctual, courteous, and professional. The cleaning of the ducts is making a great difference on how my dryer works now. Definitely will call again in the future.

We used Air Quality Express to do a complete attic restoration after a rat infestation. Judah oversaw the project. He listened to everything I had to say about what the attic had been through and then did a thorough investigation and then clearly presented what he thought should be done to clean and restore the area. We were out of town when Judah, Sky, and their team did the week's worth of work. I asked that they communicate via text when we were away, and that was not a problem. They took great care and ownership of the project and left our house spotless when the work was completed. Per my request, they added on a service to clean each item that was in the attic during the infestation before it went back in. We ended up with new insulation, and new duct work, as well as the added benefit of an overall refresh after years of lingering rat residue and contamination. The office is very responsive and respectful as well. The invoices sent via email are detailed and have photos of everything that was done. I highly recommend AQE.

Ran the technician came out on a Wednesday, and took pictures in the attic of the air ducts and all the vents. He was so professional and nice and explained everything in great detail to my understanding. The team returned on Friday very promptly and started working. They were very professional and mindful of our home. After completing the job they vacuumed all the areas they were in, which was a nice touch. The technician that showed up to Inspect I believe was Judah the business owner. He was very thorough and walked me through what could be cleaned and how. The pricing was easy to understand and I thought was reasonable. The crew was able to show up the next day to do the work and finished quickly within a couple of hours. Thanks to Ran and the whole crew for an outstanding job! My husband scheduled an appointment for 12/23 to take a look at our ducts, and we assumed that the treatment would have to be done after the holiday.
