Smart Home Insulation and Attic insulation

Smart Home showed up on time for my attic insulation, was very professional and efficient. This Co. was approved and recommended by FPL which comes with a rebate. I was quite pleased with how it turned out. Here are before and after pics.

Was introduced to this company through the FPL rebate incentive program for energy efficiency. When it’s all said and done, they’ll do a good job of blowing insulation in your attic. That’s only IF they manage to show up on time, which in my case they didn’t and only IF their equipment works the first time, which in my case it didn’t. Your mileage may vary though.

As a contractor, I can confidently say that Smart Home Insulation does an excellent job. Their professionalism, honesty, and kindness truly stand out. The quality of their work is outstanding, and they are very reliable to work with. Highly recommended.

Friendly and honest installation team. I ended up re-scheduling due to discovering my attic had a ventilation issue that just blowing insulation wouldn’t correct. I hired Smart Home Insulation for attic insulation, and the experience has been frustrating from start to finish. During the job, one of their workers hit my parked truck. They admitted fault and assured me they would handle the damage. I went through their insurance, but still ended up having to pay part of the repair cost out of pocket — a cost they promised to reimburse. That promise remains unfulfilled. After the work was completed and they were paid promptly, they became largely unresponsive. Edwin, who I initially dealt with, disappeared entirely. When I call, I now reach Daniel, who claims Edwin was fired. Every time I ask about the reimbursement, Daniel says he’s escalating the issue to his boss, Andrea — yet I’ve still heard nothing from anyone. To make matters worse, they haven’t completed the FPL rebate program they were supposed to handle. They claimed they “lost” my account number (which I had already provided), and to this day, the process is still incomplete. Adding insult to injury, they continue to call me asking for information about the FPL program, even though they haven’t resolved the truck damage they caused. The insulation work itself was average, but their complete lack of professionalism, disorganization, and failure to take responsibility make them a company I would absolutely not recommend. If you're looking for a contractor who’s reliable and stands behind their word, look elsewhere. EDIT: I am switching this review from 1 star to 3 stars as they have resolved the issue literally the day after I posted this review, and they politely asked me to amend it

The work done has met our expectations for insulation and cooling. For future customers, I would suggest having pictures and inventory of current attic and AC duct status to avoid possible conflicts. The management answered and responded very quickly, in the end everything was resolved and we are happy with their professionalism in customer service.

I called them on a Saturday morning and the did the job the same day! I love that they showed me before and after photos of the work. They cleaned the area after they finished the job but the best part was that they are affordable. They even gave me a credit which they applied to my balance. I recommend them highly!!

This company was great from the start. Edwin followed up with my request and was accommodating to my schedule. On the day of the job, the team was punctual, professional, courteous and patient. They even vacuumed after they were done! Found them via FPL’s website.

I found this company on the FPL list of contractors for insulation. I called a few places and Edwin really took the time to explain the pricing and their process. I ended up booking next day, they came on time and began the job. Edwin checked in on me and the crew to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. The crew cleaned up well and finished within approximately 1.5 hours. After the work was completed they showed me pictures of the before and after. I would highly recommend this company.

Service was great, quick, Honest, and easy. Janine worked with me so well and got the job done in a timely manner. When the crew came to work on my attic, they’ve seen that the house did not match the Square ft of living space listed and seen that it was smaller. So they measured it and gave me a lower price because of that. Just because of that action, I would go with this company for insulation due to the honesty that they have shown.

It was a pretty efficient process. They gave me a quote, then had someone here in a few days to install. They handle the FPL rebate for you, so no paperwork to fill out, and they give you information on what to fill out for your taxes to save 30% of the installation costs. Our installers didn’t speak very good English, so that was a barrier when we were trying to figure out what to do with the upstairs bedroom. We had to communicate through the sales rep. I would recommend them to others.

Smart Home Insulation did an amazing job. When I was first called Edwin was very professional and right away added me to his schedule for an estimate. When he came over was very thorough explaining to us the work that needed to be done. Edwin was very knowledgeable of his product and the way its suposed to be done . Most importantly the best trait that he and his company has Is honesty and fair prices. he suggested me to change my ducts before doing the insulation because they seemed very old and broken or else the insulation wouldn't be effective. He came after I changed my ducts and was done in about 1 -2 hours very clean and professional I couldn't be happier my only regret is that I didn't contact him and his company sooner I am very happy with his service. Disappointing Experience with New Company I recently hired Smart home insulation to do some work in my home, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While they completed the task they were hired for, there were several issues that arose during and after the project. One of the main promises made by john was that they would scrape the foam to ensure it didn't stick out from the wood. However, upon returning home, I discovered that this had not been done. Instead, my house was covered in dust, creating a visible cloud that made it difficult to see inside. Cleaning up the mess proved to be a lengthy and arduous task, and even after multiple cleanings, dust persisted throughout the house. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for cleanliness is unacceptable, especially considering the size of my house and the time it took to rectify the situation. They did offer to come and clean but after this situation I had enough with all the issues. We have changed all the 11 air filters in the house after we cleaned and the next day, the house still have the yellow dust everywhere. Despite my initial willingness to support a new company, this experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I have no intention of using Smart home insulation again in the future. I hope that they take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to their services.

Reliable, dependable, great workmanship at a great price--any one of these is hard to find these days but Smart Home gave us all four. Our attic is covered with a blanket of insulation that has reduced our electric bill and has quieted down the sounds of wind and rain.
