UPDATE!!, I spoke with RaeLynn in the Resolutions Department about my concerns/issues with the service. First I just want to say she is the only reason I am updating this review because of her professionalism (5 Stars). Not only did we come to an understanding on some topics overall she was able to explain to me how they do things and made sure that I as a customer didn’t leave with the feelings that I am just throwing money in the wind. To the customer service representative Owen, the dude I spoke to prior to speaking to RaeLynn, I wanna apologize for my attitude towards you first and foremost. But I will say when dealing with an upset customer #1 don’t argue with them, Listen, understand, and try to find a resolution. And if you can’t then push it up the ladder (if you can), never get into a back n forth with paying customers it makes the company you represent look bad. But overall I got a better understanding of payments and the quarterly services, but I did express that if I am paying monthly then I atleast want to see someone monthly at my house (not asking you to replace the roof or anything) but please spray something, and RaeLynn understood where I was comming from. We didn’t speak on the Contract/Month to Month issue, but hey we can agree to disagree on that topic 🤷🏾♂️, RaeLynn did credit my account for two months and got me scheduled to my liking so for that I do appreciate it.
They did not do the job they promised. They just hit your bank account whenever they want to. I would highly recommend you don’t use this company. Bad business practices. Crappy job on their services.
From Seth's inspection services on Friday, to Jose and Justin's termite treatment today, I am pleased with Alta's staff and services. They always explain everything ahead of time and offer suggestions to get the most out of the services.
Jose and Sebastian just finished a yearly warranty check of the pest control we had put in to stop mice, rats and squirrels from entering our attic. Both of these of these Alta employees were friendly, considerate and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this service.
Jose and Sebastian came by today to check to see if the rodent control was working. They were very friendly and professional and did a great job.

Worst company to hire EVER, they are very misleading and completely UNFAIR. I was never clearly informed that the service was monthly, and I only found out after being charged. When I contacted them to request a refund, they declined and told me the only way I could receive a refund was if I continued their membership, which made no sense to me. That felt extremely unfair and left me feeling trapped in a service I did not knowingly agree to. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve the issue professionally was disappointing, and because of this experience, I would not recommend Alta Pest Control to others.
Michael Stewart showed up on property at th time he said he was gonna arrive. Talked to him briefly about what he was gonna do for today’s application & got to work. He was very curious & professional, great work.
The staff are always friendly when we call and when they show up. We have been paying for the service for more than a year but the problem with rodents have progressed. They come out everytime we call and set traps, but in over a year nothing has been caught. The rodents have gotten a lot worse and I feel like the monthly fee has been a waste.
My mom was solicited by some sales man and signed up with Alta bc i wanted to add fertilizer for her grass. ITS A SCAM. She signs up and nobody had shown up once to fertilize my grass, she cancelled the subscription last month and now im still being charged. Now i have to replace my credit card and dispute these charges (i bought her a no soliciting sign also)
Alta pest control is a scam when I first was introduced to Alta pest control his name is David Arias he presented him self as the owner of the company. He offered all this things that never got done I scheduled services for Saturday so I can be home and it never happened they supposedly showed up on different day of the week but never saw th when they were here took pictures of front only then charged like if it was done Come to find out his not the owner his just a worker but represent himself like owner this company is a fraud they make their money by lying to people.. never follow up never kept their part of the deal they’re just a scam lease be careful with this company..
Waste of money. Writing a review after being a customer for about half a year- as I wanted to be fair. 1) Sketchy sell tactics. Make sure to ask several questions, from my experience I didn't receive all the information upfront until I asked (e.g. 500 cancelation fee, scheduled visits are not for a full 12 months, essentially they advertise 12 months but they don't come out for several months unless requested etc. 2.) most important point. Ineffective service. Alta provides a complete treatment during their first visit (siding, windows, yard etc.), which was helpful for a few days, however complete service is only provided during their initial visit and they will only fumigate your yard during every visit after the first, unless you request a complete tratment- I had no knowledge of this.<br>Alta will tell you that it takes a couple of weeks for treatment to fully work. You wait, you schedule an additional visit (bc unlimited visits) two weeks later, it works for a couple of days, and it's the same result. Scheduling/Rescheduling treatment can be a headache because they don't always let you know when they're coming out... even when I made sure that I was enrolled to receive notifications. Initially they were good about notifying me, but they fell off.<br>Upon talking to the employees that come out, who by the way were very friendly, I was told that several factors impact treatment effectiveness: 1. Weather 2. If neighbors don't have pest control. 3. Pests get used to treatment. Keep in mind, they guarantee that they will get rid of these pests but the mentioned factors make it nearly impossible to get rid of pests, at least in my experience. Therefore, they're only mitigating the issue at best. Effectiveness will be worse if you've a lot of greenery around your house.<br>3). Dogs. I've senior dogs and made sure that Alta guaranteed that the chemicals used were not dangerous. However, after having them come out several times, I noticed that my dogs would have stomach problems. This was also the case after I got a second treatment in the backyard on the same month. If I'm being fair, I can't guarantee that the chemicals made my dogs sick, but I did notice a pattern, even after following their recommedations. At some point I was contacted by management due to a low survey score that I provided. They were extremely friendly and guaranteed that they would help me out. Employee came out and they did a full treatment, they tried to address issues that I pointed out. I had several ant piles in my yard- employee poured some of the powder substance on each pile, and I had around 10 or more piles with this chemical...and well, I've dogs. Alta offers unlimited visits, however I am not sure if spraying more than once a month is actually safe for dogs. Needless to say, treatment was also ineffective.<br>3. Overpriced. After 4-6 months I get a call from Alta to schedule inspection. Inspector came out and tried to use scare tactics to sell more services. I was quoted thousands of dollars for attic insulation... I made sure to get several estimates and ended up paying a fraction of that price. During this process, I contacted other pest control companies, and come to find out they offered more services for less money. Should've done my research.<br>The best part about Alta is that the employees have been friendly, this includes management. Although having good customer service doesn't mean that the service you provide is effective- at least it wasn't for me. I'm eagarly waiting to cancel my subscription. I goofed and should've done more research but maybe you can save yourself some money.
I had michael stewart as a technician he was super thorough and super friendly he also arrived on time and had some of the best southern hospitality ive encountered since moving from up north. Not only was michael a role model technician but he made sure that all my questions and concerns were met which gave me as a customer reassurance that no more bugs would be violating my space as long as michael and Alta were around!!
By far one of the most unprofessional, deliberately misleading, companies I have ever had the misfortune of hiring. I paid $300 dollars just to start my treatments. They then charged me a monthly fee as well before anyone ever stepped foot in my home. I had to complain about the overcharge to then get a credit. Once the tech finally showed up he was supposed to spray all around my house, and he never even went into my backyard. And before he left he handed me some glue traps to place myself as if it wasn’t his job to do so. And I’m thinking to myself I’m paying you. Fast forward a couple of weeks I call for a revisit because I’m still having bug problems. They put me on the schedule no problem, but gave me a very large window for them to drop by. I wasted my entire day and the tech never showed up. Only after I complained about being ghosted did someone call me to act like they were still coming. I told them to not bother because it was already after 7 and I was cooking dinner and didn’t want him spraying poison at that time. So then they act as if I’m the one who just canceled the visit while ignoring that fact that he ghosted me and missed his window of opportunity. So then it takes another couple of weeks for them to come out again. The next tech had no clue that anyone had ever been to my house and did the initial treatment so he was trying to leave because my cabinets weren’t empty. I had convince him that this was a revisit and that the other tech did a half ass job. This tech also did a half ass job and only sprayed in the kitchen. They are supposed to come every two months but when they finally got around to contacting me it would be closer to 3 before they came. I had finally had it with them and canceled my service. They then told me I owe them $300 dollars for breaking the contract or they would turn me over to collections. I felt this was incredibly rude and unprofessional since they were the ones constantly collecting money from me and not providing the service they said they would. They are extremely disorganized and dishonest. If I could give them negative 1000 stars I would. Do not recommend them at any time ever.
Gabriel came out today for my home's treatment and I really appreciate the service that was provided. Everything was explained well and was done quick so that I could get back to my schedule for the day. Much appreciated
The salesman will sell you the product but not give you full details. I told the young man I could only do 1 or 2 sprays because I was getting laid off in 2 months, so he knew my financial situation and still lied to me and told me I could cancel at any time. When I tried to cancel to company informed me that I was under some contract and that I owed $500 to complete the it . Even after giving them the full story they didn’t care they told me they would not remove it. I have not paid so I’m sure it will be hitting my credit report. They are not honest people and it’s just about your money and nothing else . Don’t do business with people of such low morals .
My pest tech Jalen was on time, and advise me of every step he was taken and the care and treatment he was providing to our home. He explained what every product was use for and I was amazed that he took the time to explain each step to me.
Koby was great! Showed up on time and asked if he could use our outside faucet to fill up with water. He sprayed the yard and was on his way. Thank you Koby!
Gustavo came out for the regular quarterly treatment and to deal with a large yellow jacket infestation. During the inspection he also found large wasp nest and dealt with it as well. He was very professional, courteous and did a great job.
Josue A was very professional, punctual, and efficient. He explained what would take place and what action I would need to take(I have pets). Even though he works outside in this Texas heat he was still put together very well. I would definitely recommend him. Today Micheal came out and he was kind and professional and knowledgeable
Horrible. They never show up and still make you pay and pretend they were there. Has happened multiple occasions. When the DO come out they spend about 3 minutes wiping your outside wall with a brush then leave a mess behind. Do not recommend, i’d rather have bugs

We are new customers to Alta Pest Control and I am impressed with their professionalism. Both the salesman and the technician were friendly and our technician arrived on time to do the treatment! The company does a monthly payment plan and will come out between quarterly treatments for free if needed. Alta covered all the bases for our family because the products used are pet friendly (we have dogs and cats) so treatment inside is safe for them.

The technicians and service representatives are great.<br><br>What I have a problem with is the sales rep telling me I could schedule within a time frame for my services to only be told later that it's only for the initial service. Pro: They work on Saturdays, Con: They don't book time slots so you could be sitting at home waiting all day for them to show up. I was only able to get a 9am-1pm range for Saturday.<br>If you have someone at home all morning and afternoon during the week or Saturday, then it's not an issue, but I don't.<br><br>You're much better off going with Quell Pest Control. They were more willing to work with my schedule before I changed. I shouldn't have been fooled by the new company at the door. That's on me, and Alta's cancelation for the service contract is minus their original "initial $499" service fee vs what I paid. So I can't cancel without loosing money and the service.
Alta pest control is great. They have a great team and prompt service. Anthony was amazing! He was very professional and personable and took time to talk to me about the service he provided and what to expect moving forward. Overall I had a great experience and look forward to doing business with Alta & Anthony in the future!

Sick out my mind with this deceitful company.<br><br>DO not sign the contract with this company. They do NOT do as they promised. I purchased the pest and mosquito control. The first time the guy did great sprayed the grass fence and patio. THEY said if I needed them to come out again if I was not satisfied.. They would...I called and had to wait 10 days for them to come out. Of course they finally came out for less then 10 minutes. What they sprayed I have no clue. Called made a complaint . They said i had to wait another 10 days because the spray would conflict with the spray the had supposedly sprayed. So after finally getting an appointment. The guy was a no show. Then i called again to see what happened and they wanted me to wait another week. Totally unprofessional. Finally they sent another guy which was supposed to let me know he was HERE THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I HAPPEN TO GET THE NOTICE OF A CAR IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE while I was in the shower. GOT OUT GOT DRESSED AND IN NO LESS THEN 10 MINUTES HE WAS GONE AS WELL. THEY claimed they sprayed the bushes and that was it. No grass no porch. Nothing. They have not even sprayed the inside of my house for bugs and the agreed amount was 53.00 and now I get a bill for almost 75.00. They lied and are not reliable to do as promised. I will be disputing these charges due to false promises and advertising. The 10 day wait was not mentioned and the mosquito treatment ends in September. What am I paying for here? I have no clue. WE ALL KNOW MOSQUITO LAY EGGS IN GRASS BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY TREATED. I HAVE HAD MOSQUITO SERVICE AND THIS IS NOT SERVICE.

I was given a free service on Facebook marketplace. They spraid after a week we asked for a second treatment as we still had misquitos. They said it will be 2 weeks before they can come back. 2 weeks later they did not treat the back only the front. When I asked them to return because we spend time out in the back not the front. They said it will take 2 weeks again. What a scam these people are not a misquito treatment place may be rats or raccoons but if it takes 2 weeks for an emergency response I'm sure you can find someone else to handle immediate issues. Then when I told them I am canceling service they threatened to charge me an arbitrary 285 for the "free" service. And send me to a 3rd party collection company. This is not good business. How would you feel if you came to a company for help with misquito problems and they tried to overcharge you. I did pay the first payment of 85 dollars then they want another 285 for canceling. this is such a bad experience to have to go through I would spair anyone from having to go through it as well.
Not happy with the service. Just a week after they came and treated. I have more spiders and bugs around my house. The rep promised that they would clean the porch of spider webs and nest. But there were still some after they left. I'm not even sure what they did because I was at work when they arrived and did the service. Definitely not gonna use them again.
Chris was fantastic. Chris came later in the day to accommodate my schedule. He finished up quickly and could not have been kinder. Alta Pest control methods always kills the pest asap.
Michael came to my new house and said I was getting a better deal with them. They actually are charging me an extra service. An extra $55 more than paragon. I should not have switched from paragon pest control to Alta. Now I have to stay with them for 18 months. I would advise every home owner to put up a “no soliciting” sign so salesmen do not come to your door. Michael told me that every pest control comes back for a “follow up” on a new house. This is not true with paragon. I have attached both contracts in the photos. Paragon looks like they cover more pest. I am paying an extra $55 a year and I can’t cancel. Paragon does not have contracts. I guess I will be switching back to paragon in 18 months.<br><br>Update. Paragon has called me the next day. There was a mix up with the quarterly treatment schedule. The 2 week follow up is supposed to be a free treatment. They have credited my account for the mistake.
I would never sign up with Alta again and wish I never heard of them in the first place. A simple problem of sugar ants went on for months. Missed appointments with no texts, endless hours on hold and then problems canceling the service. The techs are nice and that's the only positive comment

Richard does a great job and comes back to retreat if needed. I live next to some large ranch properties that don't test their acreages. It's easy for my subdivision and yard to become infested with wolf spiders if not thoroughly treated. Thanks Richard!!

Alta Pest Control is one of the best companies we've had for pest control. We have lived in our home over 10 years and out of all the pest companies Alta is the best!! Chris just came today and was very friendly fast and efficient and no matter who I speak to with this company they are always fast to respond, friendly with every response, efficient in everything they do and also have very great communication. I would highly recommend them if you are needing a great affordable pest control company!!

Chris was awesome! He found wasp nests and giant spider webs and knocked them down and sprayed the areas. He has a very keen eye. Alta Pest has serviced my mom for years and she hasn’t had any issues. I recently rented a home and saw cockroaches the day I received the keys. I immediately thought of this business. They came out right away. Brian was friendly and informative. He found other issues , (ants, wasps nests ) and took care of it without hesitation .He was honest and gave me realistic expectations of how long it would take to solve our little visitor problem. He put my anxiety at ease and ensured me they would come out anytime I needed them.
My family and I had just arrived home from being on a week long trip. As I was unloading our luggage a representative of the company rode up on his hoverboard. He began to engage me in conversation about who I have for pest control. Once I responded, he appeared to be in shock with the company I had and how long I had them. I explained that I had just arrived home as I was unloading my vehicle. He continues with his sales pitch. I listened because I was actually interested in what he had to say. However, he expected me to make a decisions to terminate with the pest control company I have had for 6 years right then. I explained multiple times, I was trying to get my kids inside and eat because I hadn’t eaten today. He continued to try to get me to make a decision right now.<br><br>Finally, I explained I don’t make decisions on impulse or because you say you’re better than the next. So I asked for any literature or a business card . I also asked if this information could be sent via email which I had already given him. He wouldn’t answer the question. He then begins to ask “Why wouldn’t you switch even if it’s cheaper?” He then begins to talk about a lawsuit that my current pest control company is involved in. At that point, I was done talking.<br><br>Sadly, had the representative just given me some of the information I asked for. Plus time to get my family situated after a week long trip, I more than likely would have switched to his company. They did offer more than my current company for around the same price.
I love Alta Pest they always do an amazing and thorough job. My technician Brian did a fabulous Job.. Alta Pest has the best Technicians. Alta Pest has very reasonable pricing too not expensive at all. ☺️

I was very impressed with Gabriel. He did a great job treating the outside of my home by knocking down wasp nests, spider webs, and scrapping off dirt wasp nests. He applied the bug treatment in a timely manner

Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with this company. PRESTON RUSH was the salesman who came to my door. I told him several times that I was busy, but he kept insisting that I listen. He was extremely pushy.<br><br>From the beginning, I made it clear—more than three times—that I cannot make financial decisions without my husband. Preston asked if I could get my husband on the phone, but at that moment I couldn’t. I was feeling overwhelmed because I had my kids and dogs making noise in the background, and Prestons persistence made the situation more stressful.<br><br>Eventually, I called my husband so Preston could explain directly. Preston told my husband this was a one-time service—never once did he mention anything about a contract or a 12-month commitment. My husband agreed based on what was presented as a single-day service.<br><br>At no point did either of us know we were agreeing to an ongoing contract. Had that been made clear, we absolutely would have declined. This feels like a deliberate omission.<br><br>When Preston handed me the iPad, he only pulled up the signature page. I saw nothing about a 12-month agreement—I thought I was simply signing to authorize payment for that day’s service.<br><br>This has been, without question, the worst experience I’ve had with any business. I believe this was taking advantage of a stay-at-home mother while her husband was away, despite me saying repeatedly that he makes the financial decisions.<br><br>I will be warning my neighbors and posting in local Facebook groups so others are aware. This is not how an honest business should operate.

If you enjoy lies, poor service, and surprise charges... this is your company!<br><br>Promised no contract? Surprise, 12 months locked in.<br><br>Sales guy told us it was his “start up company”? Nope, just a recycled sales pitch.<br><br>Months of “treatments” and the bugs seem to be thriving. The techs spend a whole 2 minutes barely spraying anything when they come out...maybe they’re just hydrating the bugs?<br><br>Tried to double charge us and called to say we were “behind” when we weren’t. Had to contact customer service to fix the double payment who takes FOREVER to reach!<br><br>Can’t wait for this circus to be over.

Hi there, this is the second time I am editing this review. I never originally left the review but one of the technicians who did the work on my property left it without my consent or knowledge using my account when the had access to my phone. The company contacted me regarding this issue and helped me in anyway that I needed. I just wanted to say the actual work they did was good and I'm glad the company reached out to get things resolved. While the situation still left a sour taste in my mouth, I'm glad the company took action and was open to helping me out.
So far they have been easy to work with. Gareth is our sales rep and Jessica Flores is our tech. My wife interacted with Jessica and she had nothing but fantastic things to say about her. Great service today by Gustavo and Chris, who was in training. Both were super friendly and very personable. Model examples of how employees should interact with their clients. They took great pride in their work and addressed all my concern from mosquitoes to hornets nests.<br><br>Although the service was excellent the one thing I remember most was their smiles. I went back outside to take a picture of their beautiful smiles, just to show how incredible they were, but they had already finished the job and were gone.<br><br>Thanks guys! You never know what someone is going through on the inside… Your smiles and warm / friendly personalities made the biggest difference in my life today. Your smiles lit up my whole world! Keep Smilin’ 😁 It’s the best medicine for people that you wouldn’t even think need it. I hope you’re always on the schedule to serve us!
Chris came over and did an excellent Job, and was able to provide me with information to help my property stay in the best conditions possible. Chris didn't cut corners and even asked me if he could do additional work to ensure our patio space could in the best conditions for when I use my smoker. Thank you Chris and come back again!
Salesman at the door was well trained and extremely deceptive about the level of customer service I could expect. After first treatment was finally able to reach them for follow up. Was scheduled and i received no less than 3 texts reminding me of the appointment. Day of service came and went without a word from the company. Forget trying to reach them by phone and website is a joke for making contact. I emailed following day and was told their tech could not make it the appointed day and could we schedule again 2 weeks out. Now i need to reschedule and have sent two emails asking to push the appt out. NO RESPONSE.<br>STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - HOPING I CAN GET OUT OF MY CONTRACT!!!

I was si thankful that Kelly came by to complete my service, im planning on leaving for a few days and without him being able to come out I wouldn't have been able to get the service. He walked me through the entire service and he proceeded to do an amazing job. Even though it was starting to get dark outside he was able to get down all the spider webs on my home and even the wasp nests in my shed. Steer clear if you see them walking around your neighborhood offering service. The service was not the best as no difference was noted after the service which felt like a robbery but I thought since it was a one time deal then it was no big deal. However multiple people are now dealing with this issue as they are trying to hook us on a 18 month contract with monthly $50 payments when the neighborhood was told it was only $50 dollars one time charge to help the community as a program.<br><br>I called the customer service when I noticed the charge and it took me about 3 days to get in contact with someone and everytime I requested a call back I would never get one. Once I finally got through to someone, they seemed to provide not much resolution and only kept repeating that the person who sold the service has a 1 min recording where he explained everything to me however it wasn’t even him speaking, it was an automated voice. Maybe at some point they offered good service but now they seem to just be a money hungry company.

Kevin was amazing he was very friendly, he made sure all the areas of my home inside and out was taken care of. From the initial inspection to the treatment process, they explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. I appreciated their thorough assessment and transparency about the type of pests present and the recommended treatment plan.

Do NOT use this company. I called yesterday to schedule my first service, and they said they could come out today. They charged me $160 upfront, plus $60/month going forward.<br><br>Unfortunately, I missed their call because I was busy. When the technician came, they didn’t have access to the house, the backyard, or the sides—only a small area near the front door. The service was supposed to cover both the inside and outside of my 3,100 sq. ft. home, and they barely sprayed a few feet near the front.<br><br>I asked to cancel the service, and now they’re insisting I still owe the full $160 plus additional charges. I even offered to pay a reasonable fee ($50–$75) for the inconvenience, but they refused. Instead, I was threatened with collections if I didn’t pay in full.<br><br>That’s not just bad business—it’s absurd and unacceptable. Terrible customer service, and even worse treatment of customers. Avoid this company at all costs.<br><br>I’ll be attaching a photo for reference to show how little was actually done.<br><br>UPDATE: The company canceled my contract since I was still within the three-day cancellation window. I received a full refund and an apology. They also assured me that they would address the situation with their staff to help prevent similar issues in the future. While I’m satisfied with the resolution, I’ve decided not to use the company moving forward due to the way I was treated over the weekend.

Today I met David with Alta pest control!! He gave me a very detailed description of what they can do. It was such a smooth and easy process. I was able to get my yard treated the same day!!<br>We went over the plan at 12 and they were treating my yard by 4pm! Gustavo and Kevin were the techs that got sent out. Very professional and efficient.<br>I highly recommend getting those yards ready for summer now! I’m really satisfied and will be doing business with them again!

Ardent Pest Control treated my house today. I was very impressed by the way the technician, J.C. did his job. He was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.
