Extremely well done job by Attic R Us! I had a mix of blown in insulation and batt insulation. They first cleaned the entire attic out (not an easy job, and over 30 years of insulation, dust, and trash). They did an incredible job cleaning it all out. The spay foam insulation was installed pretty quickly - they were extremely thorough. Other insulation providers will sell against spray foam insulation - typically say it smells - However, while there is a smell the first day, this quickly dissipates and you won't know the difference. It's a much better seal than any other kind of insulation as well. The house in Scottsdale is a rental, so if there were any adverse side effects I'd definitely hear about it - I also have spray foam insulation in the house I live in and can confirm no issues with smell or anything else. Highly recommend due to their hard work, fair pricing, and professionalism. I only wish I took before/after pictures to show just how good of a job they did!

Matthew came out to our house and inspected our attic. Hardly any insulation in there since the house is about 32 years old. He gave us a couple of options and we chose the natural polymer foam. Wow, what a difference and great experience. I have been a volunteer House Leader with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. I've help build over 20 homes in the valley over the last 8 years. Several of those homes were Energy Star rated. So I have some experience in what is involved in achieving that status with construction. A big component of that is the attic insulation/venting technic, which is why I reached out to Attic R Us. I have a 3,000sq home with a 3 car garage built in 1999. It has the recommended 9" fiber glass insulation in the Attic. I decided to have Attic R Us spray the rafters with foam throughout the house and garage, and glad I did. The attic temperature used to exceed 140° F . It is now 30°-40° (85° vs 130° pre-foam). Cooler when I checked mid-day yesterday, when the outside temperature was 102° and humidity was 34°. I also decided to just leave the old insulation vs. having it removed since it was still in relatively good condition and didn't want the extra cleanup associated with the removal. Well worth the investment. Time will tell on utility bill savings. My wife even commented on the significant difference. The crew was very professional, friendly and respectful. Due to the attic temperatures in AZ it will take longer to complete the job. Anyone who has worked in temperatures exceeding 100° with full personal protective equipment will understand the need for more frequent breaks and plenty of hydration. The equipment they use is top notch, but does require generators running constantly. For those of us familiar with these generators, they can be a bit unpleasant for highly sensitive ears if you are within 20'-30'. But, they are not as loud as the common gas weed blower used by landscaping workers and I have never experienced one loud enough to rattle windows on nearby structures, unless they are less than 15' and directly in front of the window. The generators are used for both the foam pump and ventilator, which may cause variations in the generator speed to accommodate the increased amperage. Expect to be out of your house during the foaming, because of the odor. As with any chemical interaction, there will be some unpleasant odors. I stopped in several times during the process and the odor was noticeable, but not overwhelming. The sounds from the generator, pump, and ventilator were noticable, but you could still have a conversion within 10' of anyone of the noise sources. I chose Attic R Us because they are licensed, bonded, insured, competitively priced and professional. Matthew was very pleasant to work with through the inspection, estimating, and scheduling. Miguel did most of the followup to ensure the work and personnel were meeting and/or exceeding our expectations. Attic R Us has exceeded all our expectations. As a very satisfied customer, we definitely recommend them to bring your home to the next level of energy efficiency. I hope this honest review is helpful.

I purchased a house over a year ago, and there is a draft, entering each room. I contacted Attics r Us for "help" with the draft problem coming out in each room. Matt was sent to do a free inspection of the "attic and ducts." The results of the inspection was, "alarming." With images taken of my attic and ducts, Matt recommended to have the insulation,"upgraded." He made a few suggestions. Spray insulation is considered the best for a harsh climate, but blown-in insulation is another option. Finally, matting or blanket insulation is also available. My house has a high vaulted ceiling and must have the proper insulation. So, with the offer of three different choices, I decided to go with the "blown-in" insulation upgrade. However, since the existing insulation was worn out and no longer sufficient, I requested to have it removed before putting in "new insulation." I asked Matt if this would resolve the "draft issue" entering every room? He was honest and stated it may not resolve the problem, but it would help "immensely." I agreed to redoing my insulation. However, since Attic r Us offered the "Aeroseal" product that seals tiny holes in the duct system, I decided to have the ducts "treated" with the Aeroseal chemical to eliminate the possibility that the draft coming into the house wasn't because of the duct system. Leaks in the duct system were detected by technician Abel with specialized equipment used. It was determined that there was close to a 30% leak on the duct system. We weres wasting electricity unnecessary to cool and heat this 1700 sq.ft. house. While this issue was amended, unfortunately, it "did not" resolve the draft problem. However, because there's other equipment that is tied into the duct system, like the air-condition unit on the roof, it is very difficult to locate the issue of a "continuing draft" in through the vents. Miguel Rivera, owner of Attics r Us, has been very responsive to my concern with the "draft problem" in my house. He is continuing to work with us to get to the bottom of this and resolve this issue. I do want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to Miguel (owner), Matt (product consultant), Andy, Miguel Jr., another insulation technician, and Abel (insulation / Aeroseal / experienced technician). I also want to commend Ruben, who was sent to evaluate and ensure all work was accomplished and that the standards were met of newly placed "insulation and aerosealed ducts." Thank you, All. Attention to detail, quality of products and workmanship is the highest in the area so we used them for a major spray in job on over 5000 square ft. The staff is very self-aware of other things to be mindful of within our space, keeping clean, leaving things as good or better than they found them. Every detail of hiring a contractor and I’m pretty critical of the quality of work out there now days, these guys are pros.

Attics R Us were fantastic and very flexible. We did an insulation removal before getting new insulation blown in our home's attic. Miguel gave us several days in between so that our electrician could do some electrical work in our clean attic. His crew were very professional and made sure everything was clean before they left. They went above and beyond and removed all the debris/junk above our garage space, which we did not want to insulate. They were only required to remove debris above the living areas. Last, but not least, their prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!

Miguel and his team worked quickly to install 23 inches of insulation within 12 hrs of his initial quote. My home stays cool now! I Used to keep my ac pumping to be comfortable at night to 71. Now I’m at 76 through the night and sleeping easy. Before you guys my ac was working all day to try to keep it at 83, and so far it keeps it at 78 all day, no problem in 110+ az temps. My ac unit runs so much less now! My projected SRP bill was over $400, and with 2 weeks of running my ac and new insulation within that same bill cycle, I saved over $ 100 in July. Look no further. **However, if you read on, I have some cool details!** Before Miguel and team blew in fresh insulation I tracked my AC usage. For 3 nights straight and from midnight to 7am -> AC turned on 23 times, running 115 minutes almost all 3 nights in a row. AFTER their amazing service? AC turned only 13 times, running only 65 minutes. Boom. If you're tired of sorting through all the bloated marketing of overly large companies with non-personal touch, Attic R Us, run by Miguel, is not only a honest hard worker, but gets the job done right. These guys reinsulated my house and performed a premium service. They sucked out all old insulation, sealed in the light fixtures, and reblew a thick level of insulation. The were great to work with and for the price you get a great service.
