Slate Restoration stands apart from all other disaster restoration firms that focused more on the scope of insurance billing than my need as property owner & developer. They provided me the option to rent drying & dehumidification equipment economically & with Concierge level service: scheduling, confirmations, delivery & pick-up, billing and payments were top notch. Dave, Vanessa, Ashley were good people to deal during a rough time.

Nico Tovar was very professional with his work as he really displayed great work ethic through the process for the mold inspections as well as working with us on multiple areas affected providing great service.

I had the unfortunate experience of discovering a leaking pipe late at night. Was able to get a plumber by first thing in the morning who brought his restoration company with him who insisted I had $8-$9000 worth of damage and needed to file a claim. That didn’t sit right with me and I’m glad I connected with Slate Restoration who was able to come to my home in short order and give me a second evaluation and opinion. Beyond his honest reporting about what he observed, Nick took extra time and steps to address damage that had been done and point me in the right direction for addressing what remains to be done. I am so grateful for the integrity and assistance. He was not a pushy salesman inflating damages to make money, he was professional and kind and helpful, putting me the customer as his highest priority. A rare and welcome experience.

My insurance company referred me to Slate Restoration for water leak damage to my garage ceiling and portion of kitchen wall. From the moment I called and spoke with Angela to the project completion the service was excellent!!! I always knew who and when someone was coming to my house. Everyone was professional and provided excellent customer service!!! Slate Restoration guided me through a very stressful situation with caring and compassion!! I am forever grateful for such a wonderful top of the line company!!

Edit: A representative did reach out to make this situation better for us. We were provided a partial refund which is appreciated.<br><br>Unfortunately I have to share our $7,000 poor experience. We chose this company due to their good reviews and and ability for prompt service. We had a leak in our home while we were out of town. We asked them for an estimate which, understandably was hard to give over the phone. Well, we found out that their fees are wildly uncontrollable when you are not home to control the situation. The services provided were removal of area rugs on LVT and suction of water. Then several fans were placed which they charge per fan $20 per hour. The plumbing team that arrived to our home thereafter turned the fans off after days as they "didnt know why they're still running". Needless to say, this service cost us almost $7,000 leaving us devastated financially with no accountability to control costs by Slate. We feel completely taken advantage of as we were at their mercy regarding the amount of fans placed and how long they were left running while we were not home. We wish we could have trusted them to have our best financial interest in mind, but unfortunately we were not able to do that.

State Farm referred me to Slate for repairs caused by extensive water damage from a hot water tank leak. I have to admit I had doubts about a referral from an insurance company. I was very pleasantly surprised at their rapid response. The demolition and work to dry the walls and floors began immediately. All of the workers were very nice, professional and extremely competent. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.

The driver of the white new model gmc truck needs to stay off his phone. He almost hit me while swerving between the lines not paying attention. Even after laying on my horn he didn't notice me for a sec. Ask about who had interactions with a red car. Safety should be a priority especially in a company truck. Just because there's a phone doc in the middle doesn't me he should be on it while driving.<br>So i called the number on Google, as well as sent a voice text per the voicemail request. Reviews are for your company as a whole. Prefomance base is another aspect of a review. Safety is also an aspect of a review thanks.

I was referred to Slate Restoration by my plumber for water damage due to badly leaking water heater. Ashley answered the phone and was incredibly helpful explaining the process and getting me scheduled. I met Alex from Slate the next day to evaluate the situation. He was completely up front with what he found and his recommended course of action. He took the time to walk me through all impacted areas and answer ALL of my questions. The house is rented and he even spent time answering the renters' questions. Rarely have I left a meeting like this and had FULL confidence in a company. They were also extremely flexible with scheduling around my and the renters' schedules. I have worked with the big restoration company, but felt uneasy. Not with Alex. He was fantastic. I have had a great experience with this company from my initial contact with Ashley in the office to discuss my issue and schedule an inspection to the actual inspection by Alex and Lorenzo. After a wastewater backup into a condo I own in Phoenix, I followed the recommendation of my insurance broker for Slate Restoration. Three companies, Slate and two others with very high online reviews, inspected the condo and submitted proposals. While the estimates were close, Slate was very responsive to questions and explained clearly what they were going to do. The other two were larger restoration contractors and somehow were not seemingly very sophisticated. In the end I chose Slate, and it was an excellent choice..<br><br>They explained everything they were going to do, and did it in a timely manner. Ongoing communication through their office manager, Ashley, was prompt and "on point". They coordinated well with my insurance company adjuster and the contractor for post restoration renovation.<br><br>Photos and documentation were extensive.<br><br>The company, while relatively small, was very professional, had the necessary equipment, and highly responsive. I cannot recommend them highly enough.<br><br>If you choose them, you will not regret your decision. (This is an honest review from an environmental engineer who has never written a review like this.)

After discovering some pretty awful water damage in our kitchen, I contacted the Slate team, who came out immediately (over the weekend) to help assess the situation. They developed a recommendation and plan for us within hours, and quickly got to work. Had a leak from roof which created a problem inside my wall. Called Slate came out and fixed it when they said and did great work. Also can’t say enough about Ashley who takes the calls and set the appointments and follows up on anything you need. Hard to find good companies out here in my opinion. We had a sudden leak with our boiler contacted my insurance and they referred to slate. Ashley, Lorenzo and Alex along with their teams did a great job they came quickly to dry and to take out all the flooring it was surprisingly quick. I’m grateful for all their help!

Slate was recommended to me by my insurance company (even though I couldn’t make a claim in my case) but from the first call through to their completion of my mold and water damage the entire staff was wonderful. Ashley was prompt and was thorough in all follow through with plumbers and reconstruction phase with another third party company! Alex was our initial appointment to assess the damage and process. He also was thorough and kind. They answered every question I had during the four days and always followed up with return phone calls. I so appreciate their kindness as my situation was found during a refurbishment of new kitchen cabinets and countertops… and delayed me being able to use my new kitchen because mold was found. I'm not sure if my wife and I can accurately communicate the incredible service and and support that we got from the Slate team and how great a job they did for us, but we'll do our best.<br><br>We were out of the country on vacation when we became aware that our house had flooded due to a water hose bursting. It had probably been flowing full force for 3-4 days so you can imagine the mess it it had made and there were inches of water in every room throughout our house and flowing out all of our doorways. They understood our situation of being out of the country and unable to see what was actually happening and they overcame that situation with a very much appreciated level of email, phone call, and text communications that included lots of pictures and videos. I just had Alex from Slate Restoration come over to my condo to give me an estimate. He was very kind, courteous and honest. 1 - the contractor, Nick, was very informative and discussed all our issues that basically was not a problem but because a sub contractor installer with our flooring company stated there were problems, our flooring company had to go on the assumptions of what the installer stated - so we had to have certain issues attended to that ended up having an out of pocket expense - but Nick was great to work with - went through each process with us so we understood what was happening - so now all the supposed issues are fixed as we wait patiently for the flooring company to come back & finish the job.<br>Slate is a wonderful company to work with - was recommended by our home owners insurance - am very glad that we did as not only working with Nick but the office staff was great to work with - in the future - if any problems I know who to call - also am recommending them to anyone who also need help like we did - you guys are amazing. the Zimmerman's

I would like to say that Slate Restoration exceeded all of my expectations from the very beginning!<br>They were able to turn a stressful situation into a reassuring one.<br>From Ashley who scheduled all of the visits & who is very Professional & friendly & stayed on top of everything.<br>She reaching out everyday, twice a day if not more, not only to myself but the owner of the Condo, to Lorenzo & Alex who both are Professional, friendly & compassionate, always telling me to call at anytime with questions (even after the was completed!)<br>& the two technicians that had to demolish everything.<br>They were always here when they said they would be, never a minute late. They stayed on task the entire day, they were always reassuring me & my anxiety levels.<br>They cleaned everything up before leaving each day, vacuumed, mopped, hauled all debris off.<br>I will definitely refer Slate Restoration to anyone that I hear needs a quality, honest above 5 star company.<br>Thank you all at Slate Restoration!

Slate Restoration was amazing to work with. We came back from a family vacation to warped floor boards, but couldn't tell where the water was coming from. Ashley was kind on the phone and got us scheduled. Alex came through with water detection equipment and realized the leak was from the fridge line on the other side of the wall. They explained the process and steps moving forward. They got to work with fans right away. Nik came with his crew and opened up the wall and flooring so everything could dry out quickly. Everyone we worked with was amazing and we'd recommend Slate to anybody needing quick water mitigation services.

We had a minor flood, and from the moment we called they were very helpful and explained everything to us. Ashley is always great to talk with on the phone; she scheduled Alex to come look things over. Again, great with the questions and walked us through the process of putting things back together. The demo crew was extremely clean and respectful. I hope that I never need to use their services again, but if something happened I wouldn't hesitate to call.

Had water damage from leaky dishwasher. Called Slate and they responded very quickly. Alex explained how the repair was going to go. Next day Lorenzo came and took care of the damage. Both Alex and Lorenzo were very professional and worked very efficiently to get the job done. I would highly recommend this company.

I was a Way when my hot water heater broke it had been flooding my house for a couple of days. When my daughter discovered it, I called my insurance they sent out Slate Restoration . Slate Restoration has been wonderful to work with, even in the stressful environment of dealing with water damage in my home. Slate Restoration came out to remediate a water leak I had in an upstairs bathroom. Alex was awesome and very responsive. Always answered my calls and texts. He went over and above to ensure things were done correctly. Ashley was also very responsive and was always available to help answer my questions. Our garage ceiling came down for no reason on my car. Slate came out the same day. They did a fantastic job cleaning the mess. They even figured out a way to get my car out of the garage even though the garage door track was connected to the part that fell. They were very friendly and professional. Ashley in the office was always very friendly and helpful. If she didn't know an answer to something I asked, she got back to me. I felt very comfortable talking with her each time I had to call. Slate came to the rescue! Nick Tovar is a God send kind and very invested in our satisfaction from the get go. Slate was recommended by our State Farm agent to come out and survey our damage. We had a slow leak in the attic that caused a few problems. Nick immediately setup a Dehumidifier and left it running for a few days while we figured out our next move. Although we did not use their services for the repairs, only because I was able to get the repairs done myself, we would have had to give them the first opportunity if we had gone that route. We highly recommend using Slate in the case of these kinds of emergency repair/ restoration services. They have the right approach to customer service that most companies lack and the professional knowledge.

What an outstanding company!! I had an unexpected leak and my insurance company connected me with Slate restoration. They sent Nick the same day to inspect. Nick is the ABSOLUTE BEST.<br><br>He took the time to review all of the piping in the house to find the exact location and gave me so many options on how to resolve the leak.
