Palace Restoration

Would not recommend. We fired them day 2 of the job. We were assigned this company as our remodel for a house flood claim we had in February of last year. They seemed great at first with the project manager Joe walking us thru the entire project along with the site supervisor John who is suppose to be onsite while work is being completed according to their standards (this never happened). We had our drywall repaired 1st during our interaction with the company. Be aware they subcontract out all their vendors which is standard now for a lot businesses. Carlos and his drywall guys showed up day 1 to completely redo the drywall in our laundry room from floor to ceiling. Well they completed the entire drywall job in 7 hours which if there is anything to know about drywall is it takes multiple days to redo drywall for an entire room not 7 hours. The next morning I found only 1 worker not 3 from the day before painting that same drywall so I called the onsite supervisor surprisingly not onsite. That date the supervisor, project manager and insurance adjuster all showed up to do a walk through for this incident and decided to cancel the contract since they clearly cut corners. There were noticeable gaps in the ceiling between the drywall and the supporting wall the contractor had applied thick caulking to the ceiling to try to conceal it, it literally fell thru the ceiling onto the floor. Additionally instead of installing another stud to the wall for support of the new drywall they used a baseboard as the backing as seen in the posted pictures. Super embarrassing situation for the drywall subcontractors and the palace restoration. We went with another remodel company that took 4 whole days to complete the drywall properly and to code regulation as they have shown us this subcontractor did not complete the drywall according to code my insurance carrier made notes of this inspection for future customers. Additionally, I received a sketchy voicemail from the project manager Joe demanding an explanation on why I involved my insurance carrier in this inspection matter that led to the contract cancellation…. Would not recommend.

Tony Trujillo is the gentleman that completed both the inspection and restoration of our apartment from a flood of water from an upstairs apt. I have never been more at awe of the actual genuine care and concern of this guy. He made sure I knew every step. He showed care for my furniture that was move. He allotted access through the apt so that restoration stayed a safe environment for my family and even my pets! I have never seen a company that genuinely cares about your belongings and home the way that you cherish your home. Ozzie and his team from Palace did an amazing job, restoring our hardwood flooring after the water leakage. Ozzie and his team came in after our basement flooded. They provided a detailed plan for restoration that was coordinated and approved with the insurance company. The various teams came introduced themselves explained their role and delivered as promised. Ozzie’s oversight provided the complete management of the entire project. I wa very pleased at the progress and attention to detail. I really enjoyed working with Ozzie and Palace Construction. I definitely recommend them based on their care for me and my individual issue.

Great experience! Ozzie (Superintendent) and Dan (PM) helped us through our insurance claim and answered any and all questions. Ozzie coordinated all work and did a great job communicating and listening to our feedback on the work and getting things to the level we were hoping for. He was very present on site being there at the beginning and end of each new task. Highly recommend them!

I highly recommend Palace Restoration. This company did a fantastic job with sticking to project timelines, communicating with me regularly, and making my basement look like nothing ever happened. They are a preferred vendor with USAA, and they are preferred for a reason. I did have a similar situation occur less than a year ago when my sump pump backed up and I used a vendor that was not on the preferred vendor list. I sure regret that decision because Willyard Bay was not a great vendor at all. Lesson learned. Use the insurance company's preferred vendors. Palace Restoration did a great job! Palace Restoration recently repaired the chimney on our Victorian house, built in 1895, which has a very steep roof. Out of the four companies that came to see the house, they were the only ones who followed through. They provided a thorough and accurate estimate, and kept in contact with us through every step of the process. The job involved masonry, painting, re-installing a chimney piece, hiring a lift truck, and many miscellaneous tasks that they expertly predicted and handled. They completed the job quickly and efficiently, ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. On top of their professionalism and skill, the team at Palace Restoration were genuinely good people and very easy to deal with. I highly recommend them for any construction needs, especially for challenging projects like ours.

After extensive fire and smoke damage to my condo, Palace Restoration Construction was brought in. Demolition took the damaged areas down to the studs, and John Rojo made sure that he and his people restored everything to over and above, and more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you! Joe and Ozzie from Palace Restoration were absolutely amazing to work with. They were both very communicative and made sure to prioritize work on my home since I was displaced as a result. Palace came in to help us after we experienced water damage to some hardwood floors, our laundry room and adjacent drywall. Our experience with them could not have been better. The GC in charge was in constant contact with us, letting us know the status and timing of each and every subcontractor job and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Each sub contractor did excellent work (paint, drywall, tile, plumbing, carpet). I would not hesitate to recommend Palace to anyone.

Palace Construction did great job restoring my home after the broken water line flood. A pleasure and easy to work with. They say something and it happens. Their project manager John Rojo was great to work with, knows his stuff and gets it done. We hired a different builder initially, but after 2 months and they just blowing smoke we went with Palace, best move we made. I want to thank Palace, their subs and all involved in the rebuild. The work is perfect.

Palace Restoration restored our house after a fire. They were referred to us through our insurance company. We were extremely impressed with their professional service. The whole team we worked with were quickly responsive to our questions, needs, and concerns. They provided highly reputable craftsmen to ensure quality of work. The project manager and foreman directed and monitored every phase of the renovation to assure it met their specifications. We felt good from the start that we couldn't have found a better restoration company. Palace Restoration is a five star operation.

Palace cleaned the interior of our Superior home after the Marshall Fire. Their crew's work was adequate (not exceptional) to the task. I'm not giving one star for their work, but for their profoundly unprofessional back office staff. We agreed with their foreman on very clear scope of work tied to the insurance adjuster's report with some items excluded to be covered by other contractors. When it came time to provide a final payment after completion of work, a director in their back office informed us that the insurance adjuster's report and agreed scope were immaterial and they were owed our entire settlement from the insurer. This would mean paying them for work they didn't perform. When we pointed out this was a clear violation of process, their director responded by being both condescending in his communication then threatening to place a lien on our property while we were still having a good faith discussion to resolve the issue. This caused my wife and I much emotional distress. If you use these guys, document everything clearly up front and insist that their estimate and payment are fully aligned with the adjuster's or inspectors report-- not their own independent report.
