These guys are fantastic. I had them come in to blow insulation into my 1980s home between my main floor wood floors and my basement ceiling. It no longer sounds like my kids are a herd of elephants and I have the unexpected benefit of not having to use as much heat in the basement. The technicians were all courteous and the company was great to work with.

Devin was super flexible and worked around our chaotic schedule. The spray foam in our crawlspace has made such a huge difference for our house—the downstairs is no longer drafty at all (and it used to be very drafty). I’m a bit OCD and noticed a few places where the foam was a tiny bit scant, and Koala came out right away, no questions asked, to spray more foam. They truly did an amazing job and I would highly recommend Koala Insulation.

The installation crew was friendly, clean, and efficient. They did a really good job. I am confident my energy bills will go down based on the generous amount of new insulation that was added to my attic! … 2 years later - no meaningful change in my kilowatt hours for electricity or BTU / therms for gas. There is plenty of new insulation but it did not seem to help…

I had an initially positive experience with Koala Insulation of Boulder, until I found out that they did the job incorrectly. At that point they ghosted me so it's time to share my story: Setting: Getting insulation blown into the attic of a house with mini split heat pump cassettes in the ceiling. I trusted the insulation pros to work around the mini split as appropriate. They did not. They blew in insulation right over it, covering it completely and eventually clogging up its filter completely. (They also stepped on and crushed a drain line that leaked later.) I only discovered this error of theirs recently--as a non-expert who paid them for the job I expected it to be done right. And now I'm out $1,000 to get this redone right, with insulation not over the mini split heads.

Very happy with pricing and service provided. Devin came out on Saturday for the estimate and attic was insulated by Thursday. Very reputable and responsive contractor. Looking forward to seeing the difference R60 makes in our home

I had Koala Insulation out to install 2" of Closed Cell Spray Foam on the south facing end of a barn. They communicated well, were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and it was a great experience all around.

I cannot say enough about Koala Insulation! I had a small job but it needed to be done at a specific time when we were having other work done. Probably one of their smallest jobs and KI was incredibly helpful and accommodating as if it were a much bigger deal. From the person who did the estimate to the support I got in person or one the phone every single person was kind, willing to explain every step and the result is phenomenal. The area of my home that wasn’t insulated was always freezing when it was cold out. We just had a cold snap and I was thrilled to see it was a good 10 degrees warmer than it used to be. I’m thrilled for the cost savings in heat and AC! Well worth it!

When I was ready for the project to be scheduled, that was handled quickly as well. Work was completed quickly and efficiently with minimal hassle. Workers were communicative about progress, and reviewed everything after it was completed. Workers were also very clean during the work and cleaned everything up when they were completed. Overall, very satisfied with my experience with the company and the service.

I hired Koala to insulate my crawl space and replace the old insulation in my attic. They came by pretty quickly to inspect the space and provide an estimate, and offered a really reasonable price. On the actual day of installation, they worked quickly and pretty quietly. I can feel an immediate difference in the warmth of my kitchen (the biggest issue on cold days). Really happy with their work and professionalism.

His spray technician Bernie and assistant Brandon showed up promptly on the morning of installation. They were both very professional, polite and friendly. I was communicated to exceedingly well, and knew from start to finish what was happening. Care in clean up was also done well. My back office and garage attic now feel much warmer and quieter and these efficiency improvements will add value to my home. I can now do some final wiring and finish work with confidence. UPDATE: It's been over a month now and I'm so happy I did this! I used to know how cold it was outside the second I put my feet on my bedroom floor, but now I have no idea because it's toasty warm! The price for the foam insulation job was very reasonable (I'd looked previously and had sky high estimates). The Job. My house has numerous rooms with cantilevers that overhang the level below, and they were poorly insulated in the late 70's. The floor over these cantilever areas was freezing all winter long! I had enough, time to fix it properly! Bernie was the specialist that was sent to do my job and he was great! He and his assistant were extremely courteous, professional and clean! They went above and beyond when hearing what was most important to me, and did an outstanding job! They were fast, polite and made a big effort to work cleanly. Chris the owner was very communicative and his team helped us figure out what we needed. They didn’t push for anything we weren’t interested in. The quality of work was outstanding- the install team made sure to dam all the areas of the attic where blown in insulation could fall as well as around the attic hatch, which also forces the batting above the hatch to stay in place. I feel like they offered a fair price for materials & services and were able to schedule us quickly. All in all, a great company to work with.

They did an excellent job removing old insulation as well as adding new. The crew did a very thorough jog of cleaning up the old insulation and debris. We were very happy with the work and we highly recommend them!

Avoid, unless you ask them to pause between removal and re-installation, which is what I did. I asked them to remove ALL the insulation so I could explore the source(s) of moisture clearly originating in the attic. They removed some and what they left was caked-in and green. There were also dead mice in the attic. Had I not asked them to pause, they would have re-installed the insulation right over it. Terrifying.

Very professional and respectful. Showed up on time. Spent the time to mask off the entire project to avoid unwanted over spray. Crew worked the entire time, constantly busy and only took a short break for lunch. Finished project looks great and the site was completely cleaned before leaving. Great job! Fantastic crew!

After replacing our metal barn roof we discovered the last spray foam company ripped us off, charging for 3” of foam and only applying 1.5” of foam. Koala was extremely fair on price for removing the old material and quoting an entire reapplication. This is a very expensive process regardless, however they’re worth it! From start to finish it was clear that honesty, quality and customer satisfaction is what their company is built upon. We’re very happy with our end result!

Chris and Sam were great to work with on our spray foam project! They communicated well and made a great effort to work us into their schedule so we could stay on track with our timeline for our construction project.

We got a couple bids to fix our attic insulation and Koala's estimate was reasonable, timely and their service was so fast! They didn't recommend removing what was already there, they worked with what we had (another company was going to remove and replace which was wasteful!). They even send a picture of the service pro so you know who to expect and they text when en route. I recommend them without hesitation.

Amazing service, the team was very quick, got us in earlier than expected and was in and out quickly. They added more insulation than I expected and left our house very clean. We opted for the solar fan and added a few soffits. Man was that the right move. After adding central air to our house we noticed the upstairs would not cool down when sun was shinning on house but after this service it is night and day difference. Our AC isn’t running all day, we are cool and saving tons of $$

I chose Koala Insulation of Boulder because they accurately quoted the sqf of our attic roof deck and offered the best price for spray foam insulation. Devin walked us through the benefits of blown-in foam vs spray foam insulation and the prices for the different R values. Devin assisted with scheduling and kept us updated on the plan for the four day job. The dumpster arrived and the 30 year old blown-in insulation was removed in one day. The spray foam was applied during the next three days. Everyone at Koala was professional and curious. They arrived on time, cleaned up after the job was complete, and even worked hard to minimize the noise over my daughter’s bedrooms while they were napping. I asked for the dumpster to be extended a few days so I could toss some additional things in it and the request was accommodated immediately. We plan to have our basement walls spray foamed in the future and there’s no reason I would call anyone besides Koala Insulation; we could not have been happier with their work.

We noticed a problem with the work after we had paid, and we were concerned that Koala wouldn't come back and handle the issue. We were impressed with how Koala handled the situation. They came out quickly and professionally handled the situation to our great satisfaction. When issues like this happen, you get to see the character of the organization. The team was professional, skilled, and also went the extra mile to cover high impact areas with plastic. Having the Koala Insulation team here was a delight. Also, my home is over 100 years old and had about 2 inches of insulation when it should have had 20. The day after the insulation work was completed, it was super hot. For the first time in 4 years, our window AC units actually cooled the house. It’s made a WORLD of difference and I wish I would have done it sooner.

Had a pleasant experience working with Koala of Boulder to quote and install upgraded attic insulation in my home, bring it from R38 to R60, and adding R60 to my uninsulated garage. Devin was easy to work with on the quote and the installers were prompt, courteous, efficient and cleaned up well after installation. I was shown before/after pictures of the job to confirm the work completed. Koala was the most cost effective quote I received and they did quality work. I am very pleased with their performance and would highly recommend their services.

They sprayed my crawl space with foam, within about a week of asking for the service. The fellow who did the work took photos to show me what the finished product looked like (sparing me the descent into crawl-space land). I believe my heating bill decreased measurable (but I don't have the metrics). Also, the fellow who did the work (as well as the one who did the free estimate) was polite.

My experience working with Koala of Boulder was great. I needed some insulation added to my attic. A good friend recommended Koala. I called, and an estimator was able to come by that same day, take a look at the job, and give me a quote on the spot. Every step of the way, they kept me informed of the progress of my job through clear text communication. A few days later, the insulation installation crew came by and after a couple of hours, my attic went from R-13 to R-60 within my budget. The crew took great care in covering our flooring and stairwell and curtained-off the insulation area. When the job was complete, they removed all waste material and cleaned the area. The temperature differential between the ground floor and top floor is now 1.5 degrees. Before the install, the difference was 8 degrees. YMMV, but I couldn't be happier, and I recommend Koala without any reservations.

Koala Insulation came and air sealed one attic, blew in R60 equivalent of fiberglass insulation and installed two solar attic fans (one in another attic). Overall I am very pleased with Koala from the initial meeting with Devin to scope the project, to the crew who worked on the house and the final follow up. The only minor issue I had is that the pictures they provide of the job lacked any of the air sealing work performed. I had specifically asked them to take pictures of the air sealing prior to the work so I could have it on record and unfortunately there weren’t any taken. I have to trust they did a thorough job. Overall I highly recommend Koala and will be using them for future work.

Koala Insulation did an excellent job on removing our old insulation and installing new. In addition to being knowledgable and at decent price point, they sealed all the lights, electrical etc. , checked for moisture and mold, took before and after pictures and had good communication throughout the project. So pleased with my experience with Koala Insulation of Boulder. When we purchased our home, the inspection noted that there was hardly any insulation in our attic. We didn't think much of it until winter rolled around...and then it was crucial to find a fix fast. Koala was able to send someone out same day for an estimate. They gave us multiple pricing options & were not at all pushy. Decided to book right then and there and we were able to schedule the service within a week. The team that came out was efficient & so clean, left no trace! And most importantly, for the last couple of months our home has been SO much more comfortable. Excellent service from the proposal process to the installation. Had three outfits bid, Koala was definitely more professional in explaining your options and pricing. They weren’t the most expensive nor the cheapest. The insulator's were very professional. Couldn’t be happier!

After reroofing we found our attic fan had stopped working. We called Koala Insulation of Boulder after a lot of research. We were very interested in a more powerful attic fan but more so we wanted a solar one. We have a hail resistant asphalt roof and want to insure the temperature more regulated in the attic than it has been. Our first impression of Koala was they showed us what we were looking for, and there was no hard sell to change our minds, we just discussed options. The sales manager really went through everything with us and address our concerns and answered any of our questions. It was a lovely experience and how often can you say that? On the day of our installation the crew came and Simon the supervisor came to the door and introduced himself. We were so impressed with the professionalism of everyone on the installation crew. There was no mess, no unfinished items. Just a clean functional installation. Old items were gone, new was running perfectly. We called the following day with a question and left a message. We were quickly answered and treated with care. The lifetime warranty on the solar attic fan made us feel even more secure. From start to finish this has been an excellent experience. More than all of that, our home has kept so much cooler. Our attic is circulating air far more efficiently. The unit is so quiet it is almost invisible and just so very quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone to Koala Insulation. There are very few companies that you feel has actual customer service these days. It was our experience that this is once company that truly does.

Bernie and his helper were great - firstly they drove up my half mile dirt driveway with their big trailer, without complaint - really appreciate it. They did check in after their work if I was happy with the amount of insulation - a few places were a little thin - its not an easy or exact application - but they added to those thin areas. They left the place clean.

We had an overhanging bay window that was not insulated enough and they had a great solution that didn't require any construction, drywall repairs, etc. The workers were friendly. I just had Koala come do the Insulation in my attic and they showed up on time, they did exactly what they said they were going to and some. We had a separate section of our home that we forgot to walk through with the estimator and they went out of their way to put insulation in the second part of our home on the same visit. We were really happy with our experience with Koala for blow in insulation in our attic. Estimate to job completion was a little over a week and half. There was a small mishap in scheduling that they took care of for us too. The install team was swift, respectful and made sure to show us what they did. Strongly recommend.

Make sure you get in writing what Koala will do and what you expect is what they'll deliver. Excel ran an audit yesterday on our home after we had Koala extract all the insulation, seal everything, and then add a 60 R value of insulation. We learned from the audit that the heat vents and wall connections were only minimally sealed. It's not a terrible job- just not what we thought we were getting. We are now going to try to seal more from the inside of the house which is never as effective. Koala did plenty right so if you have a simple attic situation, we would recommend them as long as you know ahead of time what you're getting.

These guys are amazing - with the weather changing, I was having problems with temperature regulation around my house; and being less than proficient in my knowledge of insulation (or home services for that matter), the team was great at explaining what was going on and presenting solutions. I really enjoyed working with this company. I thought their pricing was very fair, project estimators were easy to work with and the service was performed promptly and in a very professional manner. These days, it can be pretty hard to find a company with all of these attributes so I was very happy with how our experience went.

So far so good. It's difficult to review the product as both the attic fan and the insulation should have long term impacts that aren't immediately noticeable. That said- the service has been great 👍 loved the contractors who did the work, all were respectful and prompt. Some may have considered their communications almost aggressive, but I was so horrible about following up that it was rather helpful to have the incessant reminders to schedule.

Koala insulation took our attic to R-60 with blown fiberglass, foam-sealed numerous canned lights and eaves. The contract price was competitive, with service professionals from start to very complete installation with excellent clean up.

The installation was done professionally with great clean up. The workers were polite & put up with my pets. Great job on getting rid of our smoky, soot covered insulation & new, upgrades to higher code, insulation placed.

I met Koala at the Denver Home Show and inquired about doing insulation between the walls of our bedrooms to block unwanted sounds. They said that blown cellulose would do the trick and that they could come give me a quote. I decided to give it a try and so they scheduled a day that worked for me. On the day of installation they showed up on-time and completed all of the work as promised. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Super efficient operation! Both estimator and installers showed up well within the 30 minute window given (and with a photo “on our way” text a few minutes prior to arrival). Team was professional - pricing was reasonable and they cleared up their mess. We went into this not knowing what we needed to decrease the heat in our house. They did not try to up sell us rather recommended a very affordable option and we are extremely pleased.

Koala insulation completed the attic air seal and insulation installation in just under 6 hours. The two men in the crew, Simon and Cameron, were very professional in the way they went about their work. The work was quieter than I expected and they prepared the access to the attic in such a manner as to make the cleanup afterwards very easy. When they were done the area looked just like before they started. I’m very pleased with the performance of the new insulation as well. The temperature difference between downstairs and upstairs before the new insulation install was over 5 degrees on most days and more on hot days. Now the difference is about 1 to 2 degrees. I’m looking forward to lower energy bills in the future.

Koala Insulation of Boulder is truly an outstanding insulation company, exceeding my past experiences with less professional providers. When I contacted them, I initially wanted to go for the spray foam insulation option for a clean and well-insulated attic. Upon reaching out, I spoke with Devon, the sales representative, who promptly scheduled a meeting for an estimate. Devon was not only pleasant and kind but also genuine and sincere. He provided three options: good, better, and best. Although the best option of spray foam insulation was outside my budget at $37,000, Devon thoroughly explained the benefits. Eventually, we decided on the good option, which involved removing the old cellulose insulation entirely, cleaning up, and installing attic barriers and solar fans. They also sealed the access doors with zipper-sealed barriers and insulated the light fixtures with covers. During the process, Koala Insulation’s team showcased their professionalism and attention to detail. They went above and beyond, identifying roof leaks in plumbing vent areas and ensuring a thorough and comprehensive insulation installation. I found Koala Insulation thru Lowe's and I am so glad that I did. Deven was very easy to work with on getting a quote with no pressure to buy. He gave me a good, better and best options and explained each option. I has the attic insulated, an insulated zipped attic hatch cover, sealed all the penetrations in the attic and a solar attic fan installed. The installers (John and Simon) were very respectful of my property and efficient with their time. They kept me informed on the progress and explained everything they were doing. Bernie and his assistant came and did our Spray Insulation. They were clean and efficient. Everyone was extremely friendly, from the point of someone coming to give us a quote and explaining the process to us down to the finished product. We also had no problem getting it to pass the city’s inspection 🧐. Compared to other companies their pricing was very reasonable as well. I will definitely be calling them again on our future projects.

We were very impressed with the young man who came out to give us an estimate for redoing our attic insulation. The response and courtesy of the company was wonderful. The price was very fair. Because we are retired we're waiting till the stock market is in a better place before we pull funds. Update: 5/11 We recently had Koala replace our attic insulation. They did a wonderful job and were careful and responsible in cleaning up after they were done. I highly recommend Koala if you are in the market to replace your insulation.

Koala Insulation removed and replaced the insulation in my attic and my crawl space. They coordinated with the fire mitigation company, plus they worked with me and my schedule very well, over what turned out to be 4 months, mostly due to weather. The crew was very friendly, efficient, and professional. A great experience all the way from the estimate through completion.

After receiving a quote for adding insulation to the attic from a national company I decided to give Koala a try. The rep showed up and was professional and honest about what he thought I did and didn’t need to fix my issues. He went the extra mile to check different areas of the house to make sure there wasn’t a bigger problem, compared to the other company who was here for five minutes and threw a number at me. Koala completed 10 inches of blown-in insulation, an attach entry cover, barrier around whole house fan, vent baffles, and even a solar attic fan attached to the roof. All for a similar price I was previously quoted for just blowing in a few more inches of insulation from the other company. This was scheduled inside of a week and the workers were very polite and cleaned up their worksite entirely. Really great experience and I’d recommend!

We had a great experience with Koala from quote to install. I price shopped, and these guys were very reasonable and obviously experienced. The attic insulation has made a huge difference past summer and definitely this winter.

These guys rocked!! I called them to get a quote and they showed up on time measured and got my quote to me the same day. When I decided to work with them after getting 3 or 4 quotes from other spray foam installers they showed up on time did everything professionally and cleaned up after the job. I will definitely be using Koala insulation in the future for all my insulation needs.

We felt super confident working with them after going through the free estimate - they provided us multiple cost estimates and provided their recommendation based on cost and value to us. Koala installed all the foam insulation in our new construction residence.Before awarding the project we asked them to come over and do a walk through with the person who was going to actually do the work, Bernie. For us this stage of insulation was primarily air sealing the upper and lower rims, the stud bays, and the lid, including a 900 sf garage.. We needed to be sure that Bernie was confident about getting the foam to the parts of the construction that were difficult to reach, mainly in the basement and large crawl space. A couple of spots were missed and we called them back: they took care of the problem areas the next day. The house has a whole new feel. We'll follow up in a month or so self installing fiberglass batts. If the foam insulation is not done properly there is no way to really recover from those errors. Prior to the spray work starting he Koala crew covered all the windows and other house surfaces so foam did not spill on them, and they cleaned up well after the job was completed. Be careful about choosing your insulation contractor. We were extremely pleased working with the Koala Team. We recommend them highly.

We used Koala Insulation of Boulder for the removal of our home's 74 year old insulation, sealing our attic, and putting in new insulation. The customer service was outstanding and the company worked on getting us the best price. I was pleasantly surprised they were one of few companies that were willing to remove old insulation and properly seal the attic. For all the services they had the best value, even against those that are Xcel backed companies - we got 4 quotes and chose Koala because it had the best value. I was impressed with their flexibility with my schedule and followed up appropriately without being pushy. The team that did the job was on time, professional, respectful of my home, very clean, and use safety practices. We have noticed a change in our home's ability to retain heat immediately (install October 2022). Our home no longer feels drafty nor has pockets of cold air. We are extremely satisfied - Koala is highly recommended.

We hired Koala to replace our insulation after the Marshall Fire. They were communicative, on time, and efficient. They were recommended to us by our neighbor and we would recommend them to others. They did a great job.

Company was very professional, came out and evaluated the job told me precisely what it would entail and what it would cost. The crew that came out to install the insulation was punctual and told me every process what they were doing and in and out of here in like 2 to 3 hours cleaned up after themselves you could never tell they were here. The only difference is my air conditioning takes about 3 hours longer to turn on in the afternoon,which is a good thing that means the insulation they installed in my attic is working. Thanks

Koala replaced all of our insulation after we had smoke damage from the Marshall Fire. The two day job was done by a group of pros that worked hard, were super nice/knowledgeable, and very clean. They were great communicators and showed up on time each day. I strongly recommend them.

Koala installed attic insulation for me. Chris worked with me on the details of the specific job i wanted to do for my house. The crew was very professional, clean, and fast. Koala is a new company and they are working hard to earn their business. While they are not certified for the county and xcell rebates. Their prices and scope of work provides similar or better prices compared to companies that need to jump through all the hoops to qualify for a couple hundred dollars of county rebates.

We had to replace our attic insulation after the Marshall Fire. Koala was super easy to work with and they did the whole job (removal of old insulation and installation of new) in one day. We also got a solar attic fan installed by them at the same time and it's working *beautifully*. Our house is noticeably cooler now and our AC is running less.

Koala did an excellent job. They were very honest. When it turned out that our insulation installation would not qualify for an Xcel rebate, they reduced the bill accordingly. They added more insulation than they had to since the insulation compresses. The workers were courteous and the job was finished in one day instead of the two days orginally promised.
