Amazing company! They’re extremely timely, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’m very grateful to have this service available even if the wait times to get in are long.
Energy Resource Center was absolutely wonderful to work with! The entire team was extremely pleasant -- from scheduling, to the audit, and the work crew. I'm extremely impressed and wholeheartedly thankful for their work!
From the pleasant phone calls with Kimberly - who set up the energy audit and coordinated the teams' appointments — all which were so thoroughly done by Rhiannon — as well as the digital, programmable Honeywell Pro 4 thermostat installed by Mike to the team members consisting of Rob, Clay, and Jackson — all who performed superb weather-proofing measures for both my attic and exterior doors — I extend ginormous thanks and gratitude to their skills/ expertise, professionalism and caring mannerisms. In addition, Ron, the inspector, was very meticulous in covering/assessing everything that was done. He noted on his equipment that some air was still registering as entering the house. Unfortunately, through no fault of the teams, whatsoever, two large areas could not be weather-proofed because of COVID-related supply shortages. One being an opaque, acrylic window pane that covers the top half of the kitchen entry/exit door, which opens to the backyard, facing north and the other being an unused ceiling attic fan in the hallway just a few steps from the kitchen entry/exit door, both which were assessed for requiring repair using storm-door materials. To stay toasty-warm, the system must run all night, given that air still likely enters those two areas. Once turned off, the temperature of 68° F drops about 2° F per hour. While my fingers were crossed that supplies would have become available before the cutoff of December 31st, does not seem likely to happen... Nevertheless, wonderful, skilled individuals with hearts of gold!
They incorrectly installed the furnace overflow resulting in thousands of dollars to correct their mistake. The first team they sent out worked 4 hours, left to pickup lunch across town, came back and ate it in the truck, then went home. They had no respect for my time not telling me they were only going to work half a day so I could have scheduled other things that afternoon. Very unprofessional.
I used Energy Resource Center's "Pay It Forward" energy assessment and services. Their energy auditors, quality control and technical staff were well trained, professional and up to date on the latest industry training and home weatherization knowledge. They performed a pre- and post-blower door test, air sealed, insulated my attic & walls which lowered our energy usage & bills, especially natural gas. I recommend ERC for their emphasis on safety and high quality work.
A few weeks ago a fellow named Matt from Energy Resource Center came to my home and performed a thorough energy efficiency evaluation. Today a crew of four led by Gerald returned and added additional insulation in the attic, weather stripping on the front door, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a new outside dryer vent, and changed all the light bulbs to durable and energy efficient LED bulbs. When finished, ERC Director Aaron Martinez arrived and performed the final inspection. Everyone was exceedingly helpful, personable and professional. They did great work. This is a terrific program.
First I must say that I had a good experience with the two gentlemen that came to my house to see if I qualified for the weatherization program. However, here is where the trouble starts... About a month or so after the two men came was my weatherization appointment. In came a truck and two vans to my house. They barged in trying to rush and get the job done as fast as they can. They started out insulating my roof. It is now bowed inside and about to fall in (parts of it already are falling in because of them). They were rude and left, ( not exaggerating) 30 cigarette butts all over my yard. Guess they ignored my no smoking oxegen tank in use sign. Under my house they shoved all the insulation and other trash , broke some of my side skirt pannels, and left some sort of piping everywhere. I am not asking for a pity party. I have a chronic illness however and I now have to move elsewhere. I understand that the weatherization program was free that I qualified for, I just don't understand how other human beings could treat a person so inhumane and undignified. I would call and complain, but I don't want it to happen again if they are told to coffee abd fix it. Please don't use this program. I wish I would not have.
Very professional, courteous, reasonable service. Highly recommended!👍
