The company was very professional and i would recommend to anyone needing this service. The sales person was even honest with us when all the other companies wanted to remove the old insulation when there was nothing wrong with it. A Big Thumbs Up !!!!

I used Koala to replace the existing attic insulation, seal air infiltration into the attic and insulate the floor between the garage and a 2d floor bedroom. It is somewhat expensive and probably won't pay for itself in a 7-10 year time frame (maybe it will, but more likely 15 yrs), however whether you do this depends on how you look at the combination of savings and comfort. There was an overnight lag between the removal/sealing phase and the difference with just the sealing (with no insulation) was noticeable. When the insulation was put in, the comfort level was noticeably different-especially in the room above the garage, so yes it can make a big difference in comfort, etc.. A side effect of the "dense packing" of insulation in the floor between the garage and the bedroom was that insulation got into the house through a utility chase running up to the attic and spilled into the basement, and also came out of the wall where a sink drain was located. If you do "dense packing" you need to be careful and the installer needs to be careful of how cavities and chases throughout your home are connected. I don't blame them entirely for this because they, and I, can't really see in these spaces to verify for sure. Also, you may want to have the location of electrical wire runs marked in your attic if needed for future reference. A week after installation we had an electrical issue that had to be repaired. It did not require going into the attic, but if it had, insulation would have had to be disturbed. Overall, they showed up when they said they would, installed the product correctly, which has made a real difference in comfort.

Koala was open and honest. There was one area we were looking to add insulation to and they said it would be expensive and not worth the investment in that area. They came back three times to review our issues and came up with a good solution. They were quick with their work and honest with what they could do. I have been fretting for MONTHS about insulation phase of my van build-out project. Was going to insulate myself. But eventially decided to hire professionals. Koala has been good to work with. The team arrived later than expected but communicated well with the delay. I had minor issues as they had said after getting set up to blow insulation in my attic space that there was a pipe that they were unsure of why it was vented to my attic and that they were waiting on my decision of what to do. Why was something like this not mentioned in my quote review that I would need to resolve the issue before Koala arrived. However, the Koala team was able to insulate and complete the job they were assigned. Now I’m left with figuring out a resolution to the pipe and hopefully not impact the insulation. I would recommend Koala of Ohio.

This is the only company that reached out to schedule an estimate. They provided multiple estimates and changed things as needed. They finished the work quickly and it has made a huge difference in the temperature of the house.

Lucas came and did an in-depth assessment of our attic insulation and ventilation and gave us multiple options on how to upgrade. He also pointed out some mold we had in our attic. He was able to answer all my questions and provided pictures from throughout our attic. Our attic insulation was brought up to R49. The two-man crew who did the work were in and out in about 2.5 hours. They even added flooring to an open area of our attic that had none because of plumbing ventilation that entered the attic from the main floor of our house.

If you're anything like me, I dread dealing with contracting work on my house no matter how small the project. Rather than randomly look up a company on Google, which I've been burned by before, I reached out to my father-in-law who had some insulation work done recently, and he referred me to Koala. Needless to say by the 5 star rating I'm giving, Koala did not disappoint. They replaced insulation from a 1960s house that I'm almost positive never had its original insulation replaced. Koala were swift yet efficient in their work, quick to respond to all my inquiries, very professional on and off site, and reasonably priced. I look forward to seeing my energy bills drop drastically.

The entire experience from start to finish with Lucas and team was excellent. Lucas answered the large volume of questions I had, reached out to their vendors for technical specs I requested, and provided me with multiple quote variations until I found what I was looking for. The spray crew carefully taped off the rafters, plastic wrapped chimneys are exposed beams, sprayed in the foam, then cleaned up carefully. I couldn't be happier with the results and the professionalism of the crew. The price was better than competitors too. There were no downsides! Call them.

We had a very good experience with Koala Insulation. When inspecting our attic to determine how much insulation we would need to top off our 34 year old attic insulation, Ryan alerted us to a problem with our roofing which is not something that they do. His attention to that detail pointed us toward replacing our roof and averting a potential issue with mildew & mold. Koala then worked closely with our roofing company for timely installation of our new insulation which included removal of our old insulation. While I hope we won't need to, we would use Koala again.

Koala Insulation of Central Ohio is solid, they were onsite, geared up and got the work done. They did Blown-In Insulation in main Attic and Batt (Blanket) Insulation in Crawlspace. Crawlspace was very tight but they still able to complete the job. Shot out to Maqsood Harrington he was very informative about crawlspace.

Everybody at Koala was very helpful throughout the whole process, especially Maqsood. I was able to ask lots of questions so I could make sure I understood the process, everybody was kind and respectful in my home, and they worked quickly and well. We had one small hiccup, but Maqsood and his team were able to resolve it quickly and around my schedule, which I really appreciated

Requested Koala to remove a half blanket of insulation in the basement prior to finishing and they were in and out in less than a few hours. They cleaned up their debris and were all around friendly to my young kids and dogs. Planning to have them come back soon for some spray foam!

I work for a company does renovations and High end construction projects. We needed a little help in our own storage facility. We were directed to the company of Koala Insulation to do a spray foam on the entire interior of our building. From the very beginning, the communication and clarity of the process and the product was exceptional. I got daily updates on the status of our project. And even if they were showing up late, and the only time that happened, it was because it was actually too cold to spray the foam but I still got the courtesy call just informing me. Outstanding job! I told them the thickness of foam I wanted sprayed, which was probably a bit overkill -- but when the price quote came in a bit high for my budget -- they gave me options for a bit less foam insulation that met my needs but stayed within my budget. They self managed the job without a big impact on my schedule. Went from a non-insulated garage/barn with lots of air gaps and leaks that would get above 80 on hot days when set at 68 and full blast to a well sealed building that holds the temp I set with the air conditioner no problem.

From start to finish, great communication. I live in a condo and the upstairs had been hotter than downstairs for years. I only had 7 inches of fiberglass insulation and needed 16 inches. The estimate was reasonable, I know what others in my community have paid for the same service (different companies) since we all have the same attic dimensions. Two employees came to complete the job, blew in more fiberglass insulation to get to the 16 inches. Depth guages were installed so I could see the difference. When the job was completed, I was able to go up and take a look at their work. The best part, not one piece of fiberglass on the floor! The employees were easy to talk to and explained everything as they worked. I wish all companies worked this way!

They did not try to up sell or pressure me into signing. One the day of the work, the workers did their job and left no mess. I have been working on a basement remodel and gotten behind and needed someone to come in and knock out the soundproofing insulation install for me as quickly as possible. Koala sprayed my kitchen wall cavities (exposed studs) with closed cell foam insulation. They did a good job and were nice to work with. Only complaint is the process of spraying this insulation is messy and I wish the clean up was just a bit more complete. Had the cleanup been more complete I would give 5 stars. Still would recommend them to anyone.

I hired Koala Insulation based on value but I recieved much more. The workers were attentive, on time , professional and courteous. I hired them to insulate my crawspace and attic. While in the crawspace they noticed a leak in my plumbing. It was a small dripping leak but it had formed standing water. As you should know this is the perfect conditions for mold growth. They took a video of the leak and I called a plumber. Because of their diligence I was quickly able to correct a problem that could have cost me thousands. They also found a problem where rodents were getting into the crawspace and fixed it. Kola is a newer business that works hard to please their customers. We looked at several companies to do insulation for us, and this was the clear winner of our business from the very beginning. We had Koala redo our attic insulation. There had been some animals in there over the years, so they recommended removing the insulation that was already there and starting totally fresh. We were thrilled with the quality of their work. Our attic access is through a kids' room, so even though we cleaned it, it had many smaller items around. They gathered everything up and covered all the furniture to make sure there was no debris when they were done. They arrived on time. They did have some trouble with some equipment, which made the job take much longer than expected and they had to come back a second day. That actually made me more confident in their work because when they were getting to the end of the day and had more to do, they didn't just try to rush through and get it done, they took the time to get it right. So we went from needing to run a window AC unit in one of our bedrooms because the insulation was so poor, to it suddenly being actually comfortable upstairs. I'm looking forward to seeing how our electric bills change, but I can already tell the AC is running much less. No complaints, would highly recommend.
