Had Koala Insulation out today to add more blown insulation on top of our original insulation and an attic stair cover to help keep the heat in. We were down to probably 5-6” of insulation so they brought it up to 14”. The team was absolutely AMAZING! They showed up on time, were extremely professional and friendly, and got the job done quickly! They left their work area as clean as it was when they arrived. Also want to add I called late last week when the temperatures were very cold and was fit in the schedule to get our house back warm very quickly! Every single step from speaking with the owner to the techs during this process was perfect. They deserve 100 stars! Koala Insulation of Greater Charlotte is the best there is!

We had a pleasure of working with Zion and Darius. They removed the old insulation in the attic, sealed all penetrations, and reinstalled new insulation. These two young men were courteous, on time and efficient. They were a pleasure to deal with.

We had our attic insulation upgraded to R 38. The work was done very efficiently and a short timecto complete. When done I was shown all they had done techs were great.

I don’t have a whole lot to share other than the guys who came to do the work were very nice and courteous. I think it took about three hour to seal the 100 year old pine ceiling and to blow in the insulation. Everything was left clean. Very Happy.

They did a solid job, they left rulers throughout the attic space to indicate where the insulation height lies. And a card on one of the vertical beams identifying the installer, company, date of installation and that the insulation meets NC code. Price was roughly a dollar per square foot for fiberglass, which was tough to beat, still feels expensive but that's the world we live in now. A couple things that did concern me were that they didn't blow any insulation under the existing plywood for walking in the attic but reassured that there is existing material beneath the wood which should give the insulation it needs, we will see. And there was a few globs of fiberglass left in my driveway and yard where the machine was setup, not a big deal I picked it up and threw it away.

Koala did a great job with my crawlspace vapor barrier and my attic insulation blow-in. They were very reasonably priced, scheduled the job quickly, finished on time, and did quality work.

I spoke to Doug Hightower on the phone and told him the size of my building. He told me that they usually don't do buildings that small so he worked some numbers and gave me a price. I told him I only had so much to spend. He came to look at my building and everything we talked about on the phone is like it never happened. So I reminded him of what we talked about and he said he would call me back. He went as far as asking me how long do I need to get everything out of the building to do my spray foam insulation. He never called me back and no matter how many times I called and left messages and even called the office I never received a call or message back from him. That's unprofessional and if you ask me. I can't even give them one star!

Dealing with Koala was a breeze. Reasonably priced, showed on time for both visits (blow in and spray insulation), and met or exceeded expectations across the board. Every representative I spoke to was polite and knowledgeable. 100% recommend and would do business with them again.

Had Koala come in and review our current insulation, recommended to increase our attic - because we are in an older house we were way below where we should be. Scheduling was easy & the install was less that 4 hours. I couldn't be more pleased.

The guys were so nice and courteous. They were very conscientious about keeping our floors clean while they worked. They were done fairly quickly and took photos of hard to see areas so I could sign off. I would totally recommend Koala to other homeowners. We INSTANTLY noticed the difference!

I received multiple estimates from reputable insulation companies for insulation on an unfinished bedroom in my house. Koala insulation was by far the most cost-effective, best customer service, quick to complete the job. This is a room that require required county inspection and it passed. Fantastic job insulating our home. It was a large job removing all of the 14 year old Batt insulation and spray foaming the multiple attic crevasses . It made a dramatic difference in the temperature control of our second floor! Even the A/C technician stated that our unit will run much more efficiently and last longer. The installers were extremely respectful and cared for our newly finished Walnut wood floors. Don’t call anyone else!

We had a great customer service experience with Koala Insulation. The installation team Zion McKenzie and Darius Davis was timely and courteous. Also McKinnley was very helpful with giving us reassurance which helped with the final decision to move forward with this project which was referred to us by Lowes.

The crew that came out showed up on time and were very professional in every aspect. They installed multiple baffles and blew in an additional 9 inches of insulation. When finished they made sure to sweep and clean up before they left.

On time. Every time. There was no B/S given. They were prompt and professional. Prices are very competitive. What they quoted was what they invoiced. No extras. All crews cleaned up behind themselves. And they came to find me to insure I was happy before they left. Will be using Koala insulation for all my future needs. P.s. this is for contractors and remodelers. They talked to me on Tuesday and was ready to send a crew by Friday. As soon as my inspections were done they were there the next day.

Simply put: hire James with Koala Insulation to insulate your home. Insulating your house is one of the most important steps for long term performance and health. You want a detail oriented guy to make sure you get it right. James is that guy. We explored over a dozen different insulation options from fiberglass to open and closed cell foam. Throughout the process James provided a wealth of knowledge and transparency. We ultimately decided to go with open cell foam for all exterior surfaces and fiberglass for soundproofing. Unfortunately, it was mighty cold when we had to insulate, but James and crew were prepared with heaters for the house and foam. They fought through the difficulties. If every subcontractor was like Koala our house would be higher quality and would have finished much faster, never mind the fact that they left the house cleaner than before they started (really impressive when you consider the insulation process - pictures from before they cleaned up). Because of Koala’s experience and attention to detail, I am confident that we will have a high performance and healthy home for a long, long time. Choose James with Koala!

Koala Insulation has a great crew! James came out and quoted the job for spray foam one of only a few that actually sent me the qoute without me having to hound them. Once we decided to move forward the process was super easy James got us on the schedule quickly. Mario did a great job in coming out spraying the room and making it look great. He listened to my request to not shave down the ceiling and I couldn't be happier with the end product! They did a great job cleaning up and left the space in good order when they were done! 10/10 recommend them for all your insulation needs!

James and Liz crushed my project this morning just in time for the extreme heat in Charlotte. They showed up on time, laid down blankets to protect my hardwoods, and cleaned up thoroughly after the job. James even went above and beyond without me asking, nice surprise. Great value and you can really tell James and Liz truly care about providing excellent service.

James came across as a great guy and someone I would really like to do business with when he came to the house to survey my attic so he could give me a quote on upgrading my insulation. When he left he said he would get me a quote that afternoon or the next day. But that was the end of communication with Koala Insulation. Totally the end. No quote that Thursday afternoon, no quote on Friday and no response to two text messages checking on the status of the quote. Called and left a message Monday morning and got no response. Wow! Called corporate and asked if something had happened to the local franchise and I was told that someone would get back to me later that day.......crickets! I see a few good reviews here but I am unable to give one because James or Robert at the local level nor the folks at corporate in FL allowed me the opportunity to give @KoalaInsulation anything but a poor review. If you choose to even bother to call them for a quote I sure hope that you get better results than I did. James just wasted my time for no reason that I can see. Not the best way to build a successful and profitable business.

They did a great job blowing in insulation into my attic, very professional, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to keep my home clean. They cleaned up before they left and were very efficient!

Yesterday they got to the home on time and I met them at the door and offered to have them come in through the garage and not the front door. They placed protective blankets down to protect the walls, furniture and carpet when snaking the hose through the house. I decided to get the attic seal as well and that was a good move. Even blew an extra bag in the attic and Im way above spec near 44. Cleaned up as if they never came. Happy with my decision to have these folks at Koala Insulation do the job.
