Cannot recommend Hometeam Pest. We got carpenter ants when they were supposed to be treating our home past 4 years. The first tech said they were fire ants inside our house!!! We identified them! They sent a manager & he confirmed they were carpenter ants. They are the Worst!!’ Our cameras caught that if we weren’t home they actually wouldn’t even treat our house!!! BEWARE!! All they did for carpenter ants is spray the inside. Didn’t even treat inside the wall!! Incompetent!!

Seek services elsewhere in the DFW area. Previously used this service in another home and had excellent service. Last 3 months no one seems to know how to kill and remove wasp nest. Im told they can rebuild a nest quickly. In my New construction home its required a couple trips for In home treatment for pest which was ok. External treatment for pests ie wasp has been really disappointing, ive had to spray and remove two wasp nest myself versus in the past the services removed the nest from trees and wherever now they send over men who appear to be just as scared of wasps as I am. Sadly ive had these folks at my residence for reoccurring issues with wasps 3 times in 4 weeks. I literally said on 10/1/25 ive seem a wasp fly in and out of a 2nd floor window frame can u please provide a dusting chemical to get ride of the wasp and the potential nest as I can hear the buzzing throughout the day- guy tells me it may be another wasplike insect that eats spiders and its good that its there. I want all pest/ insects out the window frame and walls. Ive had much BETTER service with this company 2022-2024: this year horrible! My neighbors use orkin and termex and they Have NO Issues. Loyalty gets you no where here. Waiting for this contract to end! Waste. If i could upload the buzzing i hear in the wall I would- so much for treating the window frame as requested

I used to work for the parent company of Home Team years ago so I chose them for my pest control provider. We have had several good years of service until this year. They will schedule a service & just text us that they are showing up in 48 hours. We text them “No, we do not confirm that appointment, we are out of town & the gate is locked”. They start calling & leaving messages for us to re-schedule. After 2 phone messages, they just decide to come out without our permission. I text them “do not come out until we can be there to unlock the gates” but they come anyway & then they can only service about a 1/3 of our house as 2/3’s is behind the fence. Then they charge us for the service when we told them not to come. After the 1st time they did this we threaten to cancel but they convinced us to stay. Now that this has happened a 2nd time, we are leaving for good. Communication is key for any successful business. They have not mastered that yet.

Thachnician called me gave me adjuster time and came in on time.<br>Some how this time 2 more Home Tteam car arrived . I have to go out at that time and opened garage door. They looked after inside garage and changed mouse traps. I am sure they were done completely.

Bryant did a nice job of explaining what he was doing as well as what pest we could expect to be addressed. He was thorough and courteous.

Thorough job. The technician was very thorough in the approach to the treatments on both of my buildings. He addressed areas on the ground on the building and up the walls around the windows at all entry points.He took care of the Taex system and addressed the quarterly maintenance work.I'm very pleased for their service and their technicians.

I am very happy with the service of HomeTeam pest defense since last 5 years . Recently, I spotted a huge populated black wasp nest in my front porch. These were the attacking wasps due to which my kids were not able to go out at the front porch as the wasps tried to attack several times. But as soon as I called HomeTeam they took care of this nest within 2 days. And this is not the first time that they provided the service so fast. They provide pretty good service also very good customer service.

A HomeTeam Pest Defense technician accidentally damaged our sprinkler system main pipe while installing termite baits. When I turned on the landscape system, it didn’t run — instead, it caused a major water flood in our yard. I contacted HomeTeam, and Mr. Taexx, the sales manager from their Carrollton office, promptly came out, confirmed the issue, apologized sincerely, and fixed it himself. I really appreciate the quick response and the way they took full responsibility. Excellent customer service — they truly prioritize customer satisfaction. Highly recommend!

A text to remind us to put the animals in and leave gates unlocked. We are always asked if there’s anything we’ve noticed lately so that they can address it during their visit. Not only has Joseph been thorough always paying attention to details and addressing any new bug concerns, but he has always been very kind and courteous. We wouldn’t consider using any other pest service because of their exemplary service as well as effectiveness of their service.

We’ve been customers of HomeTeam Pest Defense for nearly 10 years and are extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled. Our account had been on autopay, and like all cards eventually do, our credit card expired—a totally normal situation. Our account was sent to collections, and we paid the balance immediately once we were made aware of it.<br><br>8 months or so without service (unknown to us, it was on auto-pay) and noticed activity randomly so when I first called to figure out when our next service was scheduled for, the female representative I spoke with was soft-spoken at first but very quick to get defensive and argumentative as soon as I expressed frustration. I asked to speak with a manager, and it took asking at least THREE times before she finally transferred me. (Tina, feel free to listen to that call too.)<br><br>When I spoke with the office manager, Tina, she explained it was “company policy” to cancel the account when a payment becomes late. I asked for clarification and requested they review the call recording from when we made the payment, to confirm whether this cancellation policy was ever communicated to us. I’m currently waiting on a response, was told it will take WEEKS and I am not allowed to listen to it.<br><br>After nearly a decade of loyalty and multiple properties serviced, we expected better communication and basic customer service. There are plenty of other pest control companies out there—choose one that values transparency and treats their long-time customers with more care. Unacceptable.

Other than installing Tomcat which didn’t help at all, this company didn’t do anything!<br>We still have wasps in the backyard and rats in garage<br>Rats chewed my car ($2000 damage for the cable); and cable of the freezer that was in garage($400 damages)<br>After I put rat bait I finally caught a rat;<br>I reported this issue immediately and there were response: “we will try locate the technician for you to possibly come today”<br>This service provider clearly doesn’t care and doesn’t provide prominent service at all<br>Do not recommend

Scheduled for both our quarterly spraying and termite warranty inspection. Bryant got to our home as scheduled and meticulously attended to both services. Our quarterly spraying can sometimes be lacking in the attention we believe it requires and for which we pay. Bryant, on the other hand, addressed all of our concerns. His attention to detail was a welcome sign. Bryant shared with me that he believes he will be our technician going forward, and we certainly do hope that is the case! Prior to his visit, we were contemplating canceling our service with Home Team. Going into 2025, we’re looking forward to Bryant being our technician.

I am extremely disappointed with the pest control service I received. After the treatment, I noticed no difference in the pest problem at all. In fact, the issue seemed to get worse. I’ve reached out multiple times for follow-up and never received a timely response. The service was expensive, and frankly, ineffective. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable pest control.<br>Despite all this they are charging full amount for the quarter service.

HomeTeam Pest Defense has been an excellent pest control company for us since we built our home. Others in the industry have tried to solicit us away from HomeTeam with no success as my empirical polling surfaced an extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with others in the community who made the switch. HomeTeam is very responsive to off scheduled treatment needs and guarantees their performance. I'm good with that..<br>BTW, Texas fireants are no joke..

I’ve been using Home Team since we moved here 13 years ago. There system is effective. We have a lot of companies knocking on our door to switch, but Home Team never gave us a reason to switch. Pricing or service. We appreciate the consistency of this company……

Timothy came out for our routine treatment and went above and beyond that. We had started seeing wasps flying around the shrubs in our small yard and sometimes getting into our house. He treated them, and the next day we see none! Our regular treatment usually takes care of us being insect-free. Timothy is top-notch!

We always had to have them continually come out after a treatment, they are nice but it never seemed to take care of bug issues. They also messed up our payment in the system and didn’t reach out, they just sent a collection agency. Switched to a local place and no issues like we had with them.

He always checks in to see if we have any problem areas, does a great job of rotating from inside to outside on treatments. Have had Zero issues with Home Team and their services. Their 6 points service covers everything you need including spiders webs and wasps nests. They can also treat for Mosquitos and Fire Ants upon request.

Soso did an excellent job with treating our home. He called to let me know the time he would be arriving and that there would be two other people coming with him for my service appointment. Soso also asked me did I have any issues or concerns. He is very thorough with the treatment services he did at our home and left us two sticky traps for the garage at our front door. Tech always notifies us in advance of his arrival. We are seldom home when he comes, but security cameras seem to show him doing as directed. Only issue is they always say they sprayed in the garage - not possible as we were not home except for the first visit over 18 months ago! Suspect they are using the initial report and changing dates to save time. Hope the rest of their report is more accurate for the service we are expecting.

Once again, the tech came to the house after leaving a message to say he would be spraying and webbing and I have spider webs all over the back patio and underneath the eaves. I will be looking for a better company to provide pest control services. For $150, I just do not see the value!

Armando always does a very thorough job. At the very beginning of my service, due to my house being a new build, I had issues with ants and needed him to come out in between my regular service dates. No issues at all. He would be out the next day to handle. Sometimes the very same day. Very professional!

We received excellent service for spiders, wasps and rodents. The Tech was on time for the appointment and spent two hours thoroughly treating the property. He took time to explain every step of the treatment. He said if we needed anything to be sure to call and I believe he genuinely cared about the job he was performing.

Zachary was awesome. Usually see other pest control companies just spray outside real quick in and out in like 15 minutes. Zachary took care of the perimeter of our house and I swear I saw him go around 3-4 times. Also took care of inside for us. Definitely recommend this guy for sure

I have been a customer of HomeTeam Pest Defense for several years. Overall, their services have been satisfactory in addressing my pest issues. Their technicians are generally thorough and have mostly kept our home free of unwelcome pests. However, my most recent experience had a few bumps. During cricket infestation season, the technician who came to my home did not have the necessary chemicals to prevent crickets from entering my patio areas. While he did treat the existing batch of crickets, he advised me to monitor the situation and to call back if the cold weather didn't naturally resolve the issue.<br>One notable point of frustration was the technician's oversight in leaving my back gate open. This resulted in one of my dogs wandering off and roaming the neighborhood. Thankfully, the dog is safe, but this oversight felt careless and avoidable. I hope that HomeTeam can address such matters with their staff to prevent repeated incidents. Overall, while their pest control measures are adequate, there's room for improvement in the attention to detail.

My parents started with Home Team years ago and when I purchased my home I started using on my parents and their friends recommendation. They are responsive, answer my questions and alleviate my fears about bugs & critters (rodents). I do annual plan and when I see more signs of ants or bugs the immediately have come back and retreated. Good decision to use them 20 years ago and great decision to continue that relationship. Everyone is so professional and friendly to work with.

We love Home Team. We have used them since 2015 and we are always treated so great by their team. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Soso is so energetic and fun! 10/10 would recommend their services for their customer service alone. But they do a good job at keeping the pests away too.

I have used HomeTeam for scheduled home pest services for over 2 years. They have been dependable, efficient, and friendly. I appreciate the calls ahead of each visit to let me know they are coming and if there are any specific areas of concern. They are also super responsive when I have had a pest issue in between scheduled service to send someone right out to address it, all part of their service fee. Quality and value a plus. Technician (Soso) is great!

The tech that came to our home was highly professional and very thorough in explaining the process. He answered the few questions I had and ensured we felt comfortable with our service before he left. He also delineated exactly when they would return for follow up. I would certainly recommend them!!!!

Horrible products. I’ve been extremely complaint and accommodating for this company. Started business with them in Aug. And I feel like the ant problem has now turned into an inside ANT FARM. The technician who works my neighbor is cool, but the products are not working. I guess I’m raising a 5 year old and a miniature ant farm as well.

Our new home came with the home team system installed. I requested a quote online and Dan called within the hour to set up our initial technician appointment. Dan was professional, friendly, and made sure all our questions were answered. The day after moving in, Jason, our initial technician, came out and explained everything and did the first treatment. He was very personable and friendly. We feel like we are going to be very well taken care of by Home Team and look forward to having them make sure no pests make a house in our new home.
