Chris came out to evaluate our attic and gave us specific recommendations for improvement. He recommended a roofer in the end that made more sense. He didn't upsell us and was honest. The company was very easy to schedule with. He followed up as promised with written recommendation.

This company should not pretend to be a remediation company. They know nothing about mold and how to treat it properly. Ruining people's attics and taking advantage of the elderly using the fear of mold.

I had a terrible experience with this company regarding an attic mold inspection. Immediately upon entering, the technician made unprofessional assumptions, stating that because my house was built in 2008, the quality was inherently "bad." While I observed only a small amount of mold in one specific area, the technician exaggerated the issue, claiming there was "so much mold" throughout. When I asked to see the photos he claimed to have taken to prove this, he refused to show them to me on-site. He gave a verbal estimate of around $10,000 and promised to email the photos and formal quote within a day. It has now been over a week. Despite multiple follow-up calls from my end, they have not provided a single photo or the quote. I cannot recommend a company that uses scare tactics, lacks transparency, and fails to communicate.

Attic Doctor was prompt, accurate and complete in the bid and install process. We had to make a couple of adjustments as we went along due to some unforeseen duct work, but they handled these fairly and equatably

Attic Doctor did work below my house last summer. I thought I heard noises below the house so Eder and German came out this morning and crawled under the house. Spent almost an hour checking everything out and checked the garage and attic, where I hadn't heard noises, just to be thorough. Don't know where the noise came from but everything cleared and they were polite and helpful and said to call every 6 months until warranty expires. Nikki, the woman I spoke to at the office, was very polite and helpful, too.

The team at attic doctor could not have been better, more responsive, willing to work with us got out here fast for an assessment and had a fast turnaround time to get the work done. Excellent job all around highly recommend these guys their quotes were very competitive and I was extremely impressed with the quality of their work.

We had a great experience contracting with the Attic Doctors. Their entire staff from owner, office staff, and project manager, were great. Their on site crew were the real stars. They were in and out so quick and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves and left our house how they found it. We were preparing to sell our house and the crawl space needed a makeover. After several quotes we decided to use Attic Doctor and we are so glad we chose them. After doing our due diligence we chose Attic Dr to remove/clean debris from the attic and crawl space, remediate some areas that had mold, remove all old insulation and install new R-38 attic insulation. Both attic and crawl space had all openings sealed and rodent traps were set in place. From start to finish we were very pleased with their process. Pictures of the entire attic and crawl space before, during and after the work was done were reassuring. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. They were professional, responded to any questions we had in a timely manner and left the area around our residence neat and tidy.

Love the fact they showed up ready to work. Foreman took the lead and the rest followed. The salesperson was upfront about everything including dumping trash I needed to get rid of stuff that had been in my crawlspace for years. Old wood chairs, mirror, misc boxes with old paperwork gone. Chris made good on his word. I pulled stuff out so it wouldn't slow the guys down. The foreman doubled checked with me what I wanted gone. All the work is very professional, I personally crawled the area, everything looked as though I was standing behind them watching. Great job! Oh, then I see that there was no up charge for the trash. WHAT? Thank you for making my life easier. Im still smiling.

Jay and team are the best! The attic insulation, in my newly purchased home was, full of mold due to poor ventilation. They quickly removed the contaminated insulation, in a safe manner, cleaned the attic and reinsulated. Jay was not sure of the best method to ventilate the attic better so the mold would not return. Turns out our roof shingles are not standard, so cutting into them could damage them. He went above and beyond to research and find the best approach. Then, he had one of his guys recut the ridge vent, which was insufficiently cut when the shingles were installed. He then told me to make sure to call him out on a regular basis, at no charge, so they can check and confirm the attic stays moisture free.

We had mold and mice in the attic. The team came in, cleaned, sealed and set rodent traps. We were very happy with the work, the results and the follow up visits to confirm all was still well. Great job, would highly recommend this responsible and personal team.

I used the Attic doctors for mold removal in my attic. They came in sucked out all my old contaminated insulation ( which wasn’t nearly enough insulation) came in and sprayed all the moldy plywood(which now looks like new) put in fresh insulation through my entire attic, and much much more. From the first visit to estimate until the end of the job, this company was super! They don’t do a handoff like a lot of companies - the person who estimated the job (Chris) was onsite to make sure what he proposed was what was delivered. Our house was really in need of work and compared to all the other proposals, Attic Doctor shined. Honest, transparent and an absolutely amazing job. Our house is cool in the summer, warm in the winter, mold and pest-free.

Awesome experience working with Attic Doctor's project manager/estimator, Chris Limbrick. Chris is very knowledgeable when it comes to crawl space and attic space's solutions to prevent pest infestation. Chris even helped me deal with yellow jackets that nest in the crawl space at my house. Prior to meeting Chris, I thought that it would be difficult to start the crawl space cleaning or attic cleaning because I inherited a house from my father who collected lots of things. It was not easy to access the crawl space and the attic because there were so many things on the path. Chris helped me come up with solutions. He suggested that his crew can remove things from the crawl space and get those out from the window. The crews were very respectful of my property when they arrived. They covered my father's things neatly before they started the project. They did not come inside the house or the property that did not need to be cleaned. I was able to continue doing some online work while the crews were at my house for both the attic cleaning and crawl space cleaning. Both the attic and crawl space cleanings were done in one day. ~~~ The house seems cooler in warm weather months after we replaced the old insulation with a new insulation. Jay is super cool! We were having a long-term attic problem: Recurring mold issue, and a super hot 2nd floor. Jay was able to clearly and patiently explain the problem. As a first time homebuyer experiencing only the first of many summers to come in my condo, I knew I had to do something else to cool the temp inside after 3 portable AC units running 24/7, 3 fans, heat-reflecting window film, and even the tried-and-true aluminum foil taped on the windows made no difference. I requested a consultation with Attic Doctor online to replace the insulation in my attic and promptly received a call from the owner, Jay, to talk about my concerns and to set up a time for the consult. Literally the next morning, Jay arrived on time and with treats to give to my dogs. His assessment of my attic was thorough and detailed - taking pictures and drawing upon his years of relevant experience to propose several options that addressed my concerns and were within my budget. **Updating my review after 8+ months of having the project complete** The "sealing" they did in our attic wasn't sufficient--we now have mud dauber wasps building extensive nests in our attic. The mesh screens the Attic Doctor team installed over the venting holes are much too large and allow pests to enter. I contacted them about the issue, since Jay said "call us any time if anything comes up", and over a week later still haven't heard back...Now we have to get the nests removed and figure out how to seal up the soffit vents ourselves. Our house also used to stay within a 15 degree temperature range without the HVAC system on and didn't really go above 75 or below 60. But since installing the new insulation, the inside temperature isn't much different from the outside temp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A leak from our roof into the attic and subsequently the microwave by way of the range hood vent prompted us to finally explore the attic of our newly purchased 1974 home. What we found was all kinds of questionable things from water stains to toxic loose-fill insulation and many openings/cracks for water and rodents to potentially enter. The owner Jay is very involved from the inspection process to the final walkthrough after the work is finished. He was very responsive and receptive to concerns and questions. You can tell he really cares about doing a good job and prioritizing the customer experience above all else! The Attic Doctor team worked fast and efficiently to vacuum out all of the old blown-in insulation, remove any mold, seal up all of the cracks and crevices, and installed more eco-friendly EcoBatt insulation--all while keeping the rest of the house protected during the whole process :) (My *only* critique is that the cleaner they use, Fabuloso, has a strong scent, but I'm sensitive to fragrances. Thankfully it dissipated by morning--but a scent-free option would be great!)

I would highly recommend Attic Doctor for any insulation job you may have. We had some pretty big issues with us needing new insulation, having poor attic ventilation, rodents and mold. Jay brought out his full crew and took care of it all in one day. And when they were done they left the house and yard with no trace of them being here. Everyone I spoke with was professional and respectful too. I never thought I could be so happy about insulation, but having the house stay cool on these hot summer days, when historically we have our home turn into an over, has been amazing.

We had a really great experience with Jay and his team. We were dealing with inconsistent temperatures through out the house and we also wanted to figure out how to insulate our garage When Jay came out and did his inspection of our crawl spaces he went above and beyond and getting into the areas that are not easy to access. By doing that he found that we had black mold and missing insulation over one of our bedrooms. He was able to get his team out quickly to clean the mold and add in an airflow to the crawl space so we wouldn’t have to worry about it happening g again. Jay also helped us find the right solution for insulating our garage and we couldn’t be more with the way it all turned out.

The scope of work included attic clean out of old original insulation, rodents, treatment of mold. I requested an estimate for the work, Jay came out and thoroughly examined the job. He fully explained what needed to be done, the process and the products used and why. Jay is professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the work and the business. Jay showed me picture of my attic taken during the estimate process to show what it looked like in and explained the situation with the old insulation, rodent and mold issues. Jay prepared an estimate that included all the work including the solutions for keeping my attic pristine (insulated, rodent and mold free). Installation was clean and efficient - the crew was on time, professional and cleaned up the work area better than it was. Jay checked in on the crew and with me while the work was being done. FANTASTIC!!! Call them now if you need attic work. Had my roof replaced years ago but never addressed the moldy insulation and trusses. The Attic Doctor crew came in and handled it in a day! TL;DR -Super cool owner, Jay. -Everyone was friendly, polite, and respectful. -Work was fast, well done and documented with pics, effective. -Price was only about 15% above average quote but well worth it. -Mold warranty is great peace of mind for me at least. Jay, the owner, came out to do the inspection himself. He is super cool and cares a lot about his trade and his crews. Within a week they were there and ready to roll. Removed old blown in stuff and replaced with batting that looks better and is soooo much easier to deal with and walk over. Vapor sealed every ceiling penetration and took pics of each. Remediated the mold on all surfaces, even if non present as a preventative. Installed new insulation and wrapped all the ducts. And installed 6 new vents for the roof to breath as the original vents from new roof were not antiquate. They did all these things in a very efficient way just bam-bam-bam one right behind the other. Love the picture aspect as once its covered in insulation you cannot easily see what was sealed without pulling it back up so it gives me a peace of mind that I have pics knowing the condition everything is in without having to dig around to see. They not only rodent proofed the attic but also did the crawlspace as well. Testing smoke actually moves through the attic now. IT FINALLY BREATHES! There is also a 10 year mold remediation warranty they provide for free. They will come out and remediate any mold if if comes back and work with you on a solution so it doesn't come back. This is a huge boon to me as mold was my chief issue originally. The crew were very friendly and really love working together. As a blue collar worker myself I like seeing a crew that's happy doing what they do. Always took their shoes off before coming inside to the crawlspace even without being asked. Helpful with any questions or requests. They worked very efficiently and cleaned up very well after the work was complete. I would 100% call them again and recommend to anyone needing any kind of attic work done, just call The Attic Doctor!

Jay and his team were impressive! We originally called Attic Doctor for bird nest problems in our attic. Jay (the owner) came personally and did an inspection of the attic for us for free! Not only did he verify the bird nest issues but also find out a severe mold issue. Jay root caused the issue for us. He explained all the technical details and came up with a plan. Jay's team came in 3 days and completely eliminated the issues for us. They sealed the entrance with plastic wraps, removed the old insulation, cleanup the mold completely, and fix the vent screen from inside the attic. At the same, they did so without interrupting our life. After the job was done, they cleaned everything up including the driveway. After the job, Jay found out there were few spot where the paints on the nail head fell off. It's completely normal for that to happen and we wouldn't even notice if he didn't tell us, but nevertheless Jay offered to touch up the paint for us for free! The level of detail and care for customers are unmatched. We couldn't recommend Jay and his team more for any kind of attic/crawl space molding, insulation or screening issues.

Jay came over the same week I called to take a look under the deck in our back yard that tenants said had a rodent problem. I desperately needed to have vents and insulation in my home. I called Jay, owner oh the Attic Doctor and my experience was beyond my expectations. First they did the assessment- and then shared their recommendations with me. 4 days later, the crew was here and went straight to work! They vacuumed out the 2” of what was left in the attic and treated some wood for mold- they laid down insulation that is nice and thick! Sealed all the areas around the light fixtures and … added 11 vents on my roof, which I didn’t have- but needed , so the air would flow as it should. I’m excited to feel the difference now and over the course of the summer. We would like to give a big shout out to the Attic Doctor Team. From first to last contact our experience has been A+++. Jay set us at ease to explain every step of the process from removal of old insulation to mold treatment to new material. Our home was built in the 60’s and we discovered that there was very little to no insulation on much of our attic space which was causing the heater to constantly cycle on and off. When the temps were dropping outside we would also drop the inside temp to 60 degrees just to keep the furnace from cycling non-stop. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The first thing we noticed with new insulation was how quiet the house was and how even the inside temperature felt between rooms whereas before we had areas that were much cooler than others. Our home just feels comfortable! Next we noticed the furnace only comes on rarely to maintain our selected temp. What a great savings on Gas and Electric this is going to be. Their team arrived on time and were very thorough. They covered their access point with material to contain any debris from escaping. Cleanup was absolutely impeccable!! After getting 5 estimates the Attic Doctor impressed us the most. We went ahead with our project of replacing the insulation in our 47 year old house in the attic and crawlspace. This company did it all! They took care of the mold they found, removed the old insulation (that was only R11!) vented bathroom fans to the OUTSIDE instead of blowing directly into the attic, brand new white vapor barrier, and fluffy new R49 insulation in all spots. We've already felt a difference in our comfort and temperature in the house. They set rodent traps and will come back to make sure we are clear. If the traps go off, they will look for and plug any holes they find. Jay and his crew were beyond professional, skillful, and polite. We are absolutely satisfied customers and recommend wholeheartedly this business!

Jay and Attic Doctor were a joy to work with! They were very thorough in sealing up our attic. And, after a rewiring job, we had them come back and install insulation, which they did a very good job of - including tons of picturesof both jobs. The absolute BEST! I cannot recommend them enough. I got lots of different quotes, and Jay from Attic Doctor had the best education about options, and explanation of why he recommended what he did. So we booked them, and I am beyond happy we did! Jay was in constant contact the day of installation, checking with me and his foreman on site to make sure everything was smooth. We had them clean out our old cellulose, treat an old mold spot, seal all the lights and spots from the attic into the home, and install all new batting. They also did rodent proofing as preventative though there was no evidence of previous rodents. I thought it was going to be terribly loud and disruptive all day, but other than the vacuum, it was great. My nervous dog even slept through most of it. Jay sent me all the before and after pictures, and we inspected the work together. Can you say an attic looks gorgeous? Because ours does. When they were done, I noticed our heat pump only turned on once that evening and it was in the high 30s. It used to run almost constantly on a cold night. Our house is quieter without the heat pump running constantly, and feels cozier because the temperature isn't fluctuating so much. Outstanding work, and even better people! I am so glad we worked with them.

Jay came to my house to inspect an attic space with missing insulation. He communicated well ahead of the appointment, was respectful of our home, and took his time inspecting the area of need. He was educated and able to explain all of my options for fixing the space. I really appreciated his expertise. While his company was not ultimately able to fix our issue since it was quite niche, he was able to make excellent recommendations for us. I would definitely use him for other attic needs in the future.

I contacted Attic Doctor when I discovered mold in my attic. Jay came out after hours when I could be home from work and spent a long time thoroughly documenting and explaining my mold issue with me. Attic Doctor took care of the mold, replaced all my insulation, refurbished my ducts, and created a new attic access door on the side of my house that had no previous access for a very reasonable price. Jay was always quick to return my texts or calls when I had questions about the job, and he and his team have high standards for top-rate work. It's been a month, and the new insulation (EcoBatt) has been amazing. I let my heat drop 5 degrees at night to save energy, but my house is only cooling by about 2 degrees, even with outside temperatures dropping into the 40's. It used to quickly drop those 5 degrees. The upstairs is also getting much better heat flow and staying warmer now that the attic ducts are insulated. My upstairs attic-style bedrooms no longer have that old, musty smell that I always thought was part of owning a 1950's house. It's nice to know that my mold issue has been taken care of and that Attic Doctor will return annually or at my request to make sure it's not returning. The pictures show the mold before treatment, old insulation (blown-in on the floor), and the newly insulated ducts and EcoBatt. I highly recommend Attic Doctor for both attic insulation and mold problems.

I'm an experienced remodeler, a house-poor first-time buyer, and a proud father to a bouncing baby girl. When I opened up the crawl spaces under the fixer we landed last year, I knew something had to be done for the health of my family, and I knew I couldn't face a month of weekends crawling through rodent goo to get it done myself. Droppings everywhere, tattered insulation hanging loose where it was hanging at all, tunnels all over, holes in almost every flex duct, mold from unremediated water damage, in short: decades of neglect. Jay and his team at Attic Doctor are awesome! The work that was provided was great, but even more important than that was that I felt Jay (the owner) was very honest with me. I told Jay that I have NEVER been in my attic. All I knew was it was lacking in insulation. Jay could have easily taken advantage of that and upsold me on things I didn’t need, but he didn’t. I am so happy with the attic re-insulation project done by the Attic Doctor, and notably, so is my DIY husband who is quite particular. We love the EcoBatt used; achieved R38 in 13" of batt material in our extremely low attic. Jay was a pleasure to do business with and his price was very competitive. I've worked with many companies over the years doing upgrades to veterans homes and other home insulation projects but this company really stood out above the rest. Absolutely exceptional! Completely removed old, contaminated insulation, treated the entire attic to remove mold and other contaminates and then replaced with top quality insulation "to code." In short, I would highly recommend Jay and the Attic Doctor team for your upcoming insulation project. We had zero issues and I’m confident you won’t either. During the proposal process Jay (the owner) was incredibly helpful and informative. He performed a detailed inspection, took lots of photos and we had thorough discussion regarding the pros/cons of different insulation materials, techniques etc. The price was very competitive relative to other bids we received, even with the superior products Jay’s team prefers to use (every other contractor will assume you want standard blown-in insulation because its typically the cheapest) Jay’s team arrived early and got to work immediately...four guys in total for our 2500 sq/ft home. They made quick work of clearing the old insulation, air sealing and rodent proofing in the morning. In the afternoon they installed in the new batt insulation (a very highly-rated, eco-friendly product). Other proposals we received would’ve spread the project over multiple days/weeks which just isn’t convenient for me and my young family. The job itself was incredibly smooth, clean and easy. If anything unexpected were to have happened (which thankfully didn’t) I’m confident Jay would’ve quickly addressed any issues. At the end of the day, Jay took me up into the attic to show me their work and it was clearly done to a high standard. Later that evening he sent me dozens of before/after photos and videos of the rodent proofing, cleaning etc., which you can’t see during or after the installation process itself. Finally, communication with Jay and the team was easy and efficient; I knew exactly what was happening and when. Short Review: Hire Attic Doctor, they are great, you won't be disappointed, they are obsessed with quality and they will ensure a great customer experience, even if there are challenges. Detailed Review: Jay, the owner, came out for the original estimate and spent twice the time inspecting my attic and twice the time sitting down with me and clearly explaining everything, better than the other companies that came out. He also noticed a lower attic that was missed by others and that even I forgot about. That portion of that attic wasn't included in the other estimates, until I reached out asking them about it confirming the others did miss it. While Jay's company is fairly new, I looked them up on the WA State LNI website and everything matched, they are, as of June 2023, licensed, insured, zero issues or complaints. I also looked them up on BBB Online, and while they aren't a member, they still received an A+ rating. I do recommend everyone do their own research. I was a bit nervous due to the low amount of reviews. The issue with my attic was the 20 year old blown in insulation that had settled down to below standards in thickness, migrated towards the edges which mostly blocked all soffit vents. Having proper ventilation in your attic is key to a healthy attic. I did some research on this and read a WSU paper on proper insulation (types, R-value, etc) in WA State. Even though my newer roof I had installed a few years ago included a full ridgeline vent, hot air couldn't escape because of the blocked soffit vents. Stagnant hot and humid air over the years had slowly caused mold to grow throughout the attic. It wasn't horrible, but it needed to be dealt with too. Which Attic Doctor was able to do. Jay's crew spent the whole day at my house and Jay was right there along with them. The crew was great and they cordoned off a path from a upper story window through a hallway into the master bedroom closet where the attic access was located, sealed that path with plastic sheeting. That is how the crew got in and out of the house, leaving the main floor completely undisturbed. The crew did like to listen to their music loudly while they worked, but it didn't bother us. I'm sure you can ask to have them turn it down or talk to Jay beforehand if you think that will be an issue for you. I'm not sure how they can stand working in a 100°+ attic with full protection gear and full respirator masks! And they dealt with a live yellow jacket nest too, ouch! Those guys are so nimble and fast and seemed to be having fun despite the angry wasps. There was a slight problem where a crack formed in the ceiling in my closet while they worked. Jay immediately brought it to my attention and told me it would be fixed. Not only was it fixed, it was fixed that very same day by an expert in drywall repair whom Jay called out at his own expense. They even had the paint color laser matched so it didn't matter we didn't have the paint. My wife couldn't tell there was ever a crack after the repair. I was also impressed with the cleanup afterwards, leaving virtually no trace they were there. The attic looks new! I even saw Jay picking up small bits of old insulation after the crew left that somehow escaped to my driveway that most people wouldn't even have notice. Jay is a stickler for detailed and seemed obsessed with quality. This is what you want in a company. Now that we have proper insulation and ventilation, I'm looking forward to better upstair temps throughout the summer. I'll update this review over the coming weeks on how much it has helped. Jay was very friendly and descriptive, and detailed the work his crew was going to do when preparing the estimate. They had a very competitive price compared to the other bids we received and were flexible on timing. They came out in a day and did mold remediation, replaced the old insulation (which was nearly gone) and put in new insulation. I was very happy with the work they did. The crew was friendly and cleaned everything up when they were finished. I'd highly recommend using this company if you're looking for work to be done.
