They take the time to explain all of the options for your attic and pricing is straightforward. Sheldon worked with us and he was always so helpful and professional. The two gentleman that came to do the insulation were very hardworking, courteous, and finished ahead of schedule. One of the men even helped bring in a heavy delivery for me- even though he had a huge day of work ahead for him. (I forgot his name, but Stellr knows- because I let them know how impressed I was with his help). The owner Wayne and his wife are wonderful to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. I told Stellrr that I would post a review when I had data to back it up. 18 months later, I do: In summer of 2024, we never turned off our A/C. And we saved $1160.71 (58%) vs 2023. This is a likely underestimate of annual savings, since Stellrr installed the foam in May of 2023. I've uploaded a timeline of our gas and electricity bills as we've made multiple improvements--not just spray foam. The gap between what we pay with these improvements and what we would've paid without them will grow bigger forever: energy will never get cheaper. So, here's my empirical take mixed with a bit of common sense: Stellrr's foam insulation provides good value, but without it, other energy-saving improvements will provide half the value they could. It's a foundational improvement--something you do *first*. It's what a nerd's nerd would call "a force multiplier," meaning it makes other improvements vastly more effective by being there. And so you should get it early in your "healthy and efficient home" journey. Unpacking that a bit: from a straight-up balance sheet, we will not ROI on Stellrr, solar, HVAC, electric appliances, and the other improvements we've made. But not breathing all that particulate matter from the nearby interstate? All the gas stove fumes we won't be inhaling? Hell, it's not unlikely we ROI on not having to pay for extended medical care in 30 years. So, if you're into a better quality of life that--bare minimum--mostly pays for itself, I'd recommend doing things In this order: 1. FIRST: Update your ducting, minimally, and your ventilation fans. My only regret--these are hard to do with foam there. 2. Get Stellrr's spray foam. They'll do the best job. 3. Look into a mid-high efficiency heat pump. ($2k tax credit, at least!) Spring a bit extra for an energy-recovery ventilator, installed professionally. Get a UV bulb for that alpine air feeling. 4. Consider solar (30% tax credit til like 2033!)l; also, batteries. 5. If you got those batteries, enroll in Austin Energy's Time of Use program so that you can coast on battery power when electricity is expensive (3-7PM). We do just fine on 20kWh. Bonus: some outage protection! I wasn't the easiest customer--I had a point or two of frustration (communications) with the company during the install. Stellrr sells their product hard, but... like all things ahead of their time, they have to make a complex case that won't appeal to everyone because the value of having an airtight, well-insulated home simply isn't obvious to all. I'm glad I listened--they were right!

i called to get a quote to top off my attic insulation they call this putting lipstick on a pig! lol had them come out for a diagnostic and they uncovered the real deal about what was going on. i hired them and it took several weeks to get on the schedule to do the work they did a really good job. very happy

I like working with the Stellrr team on my crawlspace conversión. It was dirty and moldy. Now it is súper clean and I can store my stuff down there. A plus.

I would recommend Stellrr to anyone. They insulated my attic at a fair price and I know I can trust them. Angel and his team replaced the old fiberglass insulation in my attic with cellulose, air-sealed my attic, and insulated my catwalk. They were on-time, communicative, and did great work. I was impressed every step of the way. They also went above and beyond, adding extra insulation at no charge! Mr. Wayne followed up weeks later for quality control and added more insulation and air sealing that was even more than what we had contracted for. I can't recommend Stellrr enough! This isn't a paid promotion or anything, I just think more people should contract with Stellrr and want to let people know that my experience with them was phenomenal. I recommend them 100%.

From my first phone call with Jeremy, to my consult with Sheldon… and the install crew, I could not be more pleased with how respectful everyone was. They vacuumed out all the old insulation. We don’t know the house had rat problems because it had been burried. But I’m so glad to have that out of the house. And now our air is so much cleaner. They spray foamed the roof for me and it is just like a cozy blanket.

I had my insulation replaced by stellar and I have to say it was a way better experience than I expected! The staff was very well mannered and gave me all the answers to every one of my questions. My electric bill is lower and my life is much easier. Highly reccomend!

My house had this really uncomfortable room that we just couldn't keep under control. We hired stellar to come out and do the Space Age Cleanse. The process took a little longer than the minimum expected time. But we are very happy with the results. My bills are way down a d the room finally stays the same temperature as the rest of the house. Couldn't be better.

I had an issue with Stellrr where they missed a portion of my attic when insulating, however when it was caught they went above and beyond to ensure it was fixed properly and I wasn’t charged for the fix I appreciated the professionalism of them and their motivation to take care of a client.

Get attic insulation during the winter for better pricing! Ours was delayed a bit because the machine broke. We kept getting new dates then canceling. But they did a GREAT job at cleaning the attic and with the insulation. I do have one complaint, they texted and emailed us reminders of the day they were going to clean the attic. They never said they were going to put a dumpster on our driveway. It happened at 7am and blocked my car in the garage for 2 days. Had to carpool to work. And my husbands truck was in the driveway, luckily it wasn't harmed but we would have moved both vehicles out of the way if we would have known.

Overall I have been super happy with the job that the team did. And while there were some hiccups along the way, the team was very quick to help rectify the issue. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends/family.

I hired them to remove my lay in attic insulation and install new foam insulation. I was not very pleased with the results. The installation crew foamed over light fixtures I had to dig out, pushed my furnace vent up against a wood joist (fire hazard) and left a lot of trash that I’ve had to clean out. Additionally, they left materials of construction in my yard I have trashed or recycled. Finally I was not happy with having to go hire an electrician to permanently connect the dehumidifier in the attic. For the price they charge, that should have included. If I had it to do over again, I would definitely go with a different company. I cannot recommend their services. After seeing Stellr response below, I amI lowering my review to one star. I was NEVER offered any discounts after the work was complete.This is simply not true.

Stellrr insulated the crawl space in two of my properties today. They were extremely professional and I was very happy with their responsiveness and service. I had 3 separate estimates, they were all pretty close but I liked these guys the best. Their estimate was turned around same day and the work was completed a couple of days later. I got quotes from 3 different companies before going with Stellrr. They were the best value and responded quickly any time I contacted them. The job was completed ahead of schedule with no issues.

These people will do just enough work that it would be hard to sue them. They cut corners, didn't do half the job, and created future problems I'm already paying for with water infiltration and rot. Their business model seems to be to prey on people who don't know much about building while putting on a happy face with friendly customer service. In a location that was promised to be airtight, there were gaps big enough for my fingers. Nobody who cares about the quality of their work is going to do something like that.

I called a few weeks ago to a lot of spray foam places, and only 2 of them came back with any quote at all. Most do not do small projects (<$2k) without paying the minimum (most have a $1500-$2000 minimum fee.) I'm fine with paying a minimum cost, but when I called Stellr they wouldn't even consider the project (a complete fill of walls and roof of a 160 sqft shed.) I was disappointed because of their great reviews on this site and others - I really want to find someone who is going to do it right since spray foam is difficult to "fix"

From the first day I reached out to them till the project was complete, this is a highly responsive, professional and competent company! After requesting a quote, I was contacted within the hour, provided with loads of information on the services they provide and set up with an appointment. Sheldon showed up on time, spent over an hour inspecting and going over everything with me. He provided an array of options with detailed pricing. The installation team, lead by Alex, was superb; finished ahead of schedule. I have dealt with many contractors/companies and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. Oh, the house is warmer now too! Should be equally cooler in the summer!

I called Stellrr Insulation to add insulation to the attic. They can out right away and gave me a bid. I called a couple of other companies as well but they said, my house wasn't big enough to make the trip to Wimberley. So, I went with Stellrr. They had a little problem the first day with some equipment and said they would have to come back to finish. Of course, I thought, Oh Boy, I'll never get them back to Wimberley to finish. But, sure enough, in no time they were back out and finished. They even gave me an outdoor American flag to hang from my porch. I really liked how the crew went that extra mile keeping the inside of my house clean. My place is a 2 story so they had to drag hoses up the stairs to get to the attic entrance. Again I thought I would have a big mess to clean up after they left. Happy to say, I was wrong. My job was small, but I'm pretty sure they can handle anything.

I had a superb experience with Stellrr. They helped me rip out the insulation from my 1962 house and spray foam two large attics. Shawn and his team were amazing in every way. They fitted me into their schedule at very short notice as my wife was having breathing problems due to our old, dirty insulation. Dennis and his crew worked incredibly hard to take out the insulation from an overheated narrow attic. At every stage, they went beyond my expectations, helping me take out some old ducting and making sure everything was vented correctly. The spray foam process was equally efficient and it took down our attic temperatures by at least 20 degrees from massively overheated to basically the same temperature as the main house. Stellrr promises to fix problematic houses and they certainly did this with mine. Prior to the spray foam, the HVAC struggled to cool the house, now it does so with ease and we barely need the heating as the spray foam keeps the house within a narrow band of temperatures. This was the best investment we could have made and Shawn and his team delivered far beyond their promises. This is a family business and they were a pleasure to deal with at every turn. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We shopped around and consulted with multiple insulation companies. We feel very fortunate we went with Stellrr and we couldn’t be happier with their work.

If everyone did their job as members of Stellrr, the world would be a much better place. We hired Stellrr to encapsulate our crawl space and clean and install dehumidifiers to our attic. The job required many challenges. Wayne and Shawn were amazing about finding cutting edge solutions without increasing the cost. They were always on time and went above and beyond to finish the job. Stellrr did a wonderful job for our blown in cellulose insulation. We needed it over our master bedroom and brought the rest of our house up to R50-60. My fiancé received a quote along with several others for Insulation and this company wanted an astonishing amount more compared to the other three companies we had out. I recommend doing a little research before hiring this company. Ultimately we want as Hillcountry insulation and they did an excellent job. Much more affordable than stellar.

Wayne and his family helped me out with insulating a few bedroom walls in my new house. I plan to get roommates in the future and this will make everyone's lives more pleasant, especially since interior facing walls in Austin are mostly built without any insulation. I opted for the drill and fill plus an additional layer of drywall with the sound proof glue. Communication was quick, timely, and smooth all the way. The drill and fill didn't go as expected with the walls buckling a bit but Wayne worked quickly to identify the issue, communicated the situation and reason in a clear way, and immediately began working on resolving the issue. He went above and beyond to ensure the job was completed not only quickly but with a high level of quality. He spent time to clean up the work areas as well to ensure that you wouldn't even know Stellrr was there. Stellrr has clearly had years of expertise in the soundproofing business. In fact, they have even done soundproofing for the United States Army! Keeping those top secret conversations secret. Shawn was extremely professional and attentive to the details which can make a big difference between a great experience and a okay one. For example, Shawn explained what they were doing and why they were doing it at every stage of the soundproofing project. In my project, we were soundproofing a wall of my home between another condominium unit and my own. They were also responsive to all of my requests. And now the sound that I can hear from the other unit has almost completely gone away. If I had done the entire recommendations list that they provided, I know it would be 100% silent. But as for me, it is now to a very livable level which I am pleased with everything.

Shawn and his team helped us with a challenging movie theater soundproofing project. We share a wall with another tenant in the shopping center. The tenant next door basically had to stop accepting patients because of the noise coming from our theatre. Shawn’s sound consulting plan was very thorough. His crew’s work was excellent. He clearly enjoys helping people and solving difficult sound problems. They delivered on their promises and the sound reduction was dramatic. The tenant next door cannot hear anything even when there are explosions going on in our cinema. They are back open for business and we are glad to see the complaints stop.

Locally owned and operated beats the pants off of these national companies like USI Chase, Hinkle, Builder’s and others. What a fantastic crew of people! Wayne and Andy went above and beyond on my unorthodox application of spray insulation for an already-finished-out recording studio. By protecting the walls and floors, using extra caution, and actually taking pride in their work they exceeded my expectations and the room looks and sounds GREAT!

Stellrr is truly outstanding! The quality of the work merits the very highest of recommendations. (I only write long reviews when I’m greatly impressed by companies, and Stellrr demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and pride in the work.) I can speak to Stellrr’s skill with both closed cell and open cell foam because the scope of work was the application of closed cell foam on the underside of a late 1970s-built pier and beam home, and open cell in the attic. The backstory in a sentence: independently of each other, a home inspector, a structural inspector and an environmental inspector had all recommended closed cell foam as the best way to resolve the home’s rising moisture and vapor issue, which led me to Stellrr (the decision to have the attic work done was taken after I had met Shawn at the on-site estimate). Now to the work: on the first day, four-decade-old batt insulation was removed and hauled away. The removal of critter-damaged batt insulation framed in screwed-in chicken wire in a two-foot-high crawl space must rank among the most unpleasant tasks an insulator ever has to do, but Stellrr’s attitude was superb (I was, frankly, amazed by it). On the second day, Stellrr applied open cell foam to the attic (the batt there had also been removed on day one) and built an attic closet (well worth the expense) – within 36 hours the humidity level plummeted (even more than I hoped it would!) On the third day, Stellrr applied closed cell foam to the underside of the home, and within 48 hours the home smelled normal, meaning the air-quality problem was solved (thank you, thank you, thank you!) Stellrr was always a delight to work with: the website is full of advice; communication was superb from the outset; the estimating process was transparent and efficient; the pricing fair (you are paying for excellence); customer service as friendly as could be (Stellrr even brought me back lunch on the first day); and the workmanship first rate, with a rare level of conscientiousness and attention to detail. Seriously, don’t spend time shopping around: just select Stellrr.

Violet was very responsive, and helped me adapt when my dumpster needs changed mid-project. I felt that of all the moving pieces of my major home renovation, this was one I didn't have to worry about. They protected my driveway and swept up when they took the dumpster, too!

Stellrr is the best! We needed additional insulation for our remodel for inspection purposes. I called and left a message and Wayne called back right away. He was even able to rearrange the schedule so they could come out sooner since we were in a bit of a time crunch. Horrendous customer service!! I called and spoke to Alexis and i was hung up on not once but twice. I asked to speak with some one who can help me with a quote and without any explanations she hung up on me. If they don't provide quotes then she could have said something instead of hanging up on me. I have no idea how this company works but i suggest looking elsewhere for you insulation needs.

As a custom home builder, I have been ecstatic to have Stellrr Insulation on my team. I have worked with them several times. Wayne and Sean's service has been exceptional, while keeping pricing very competitive. They communicate very well, stay true to their quotes, clean up when finished, and have often designed custom solutions for my very complex projects. I cannot say enough good things about the Stellrr team. My job is so often to babysit the idiosyncrasies of all the subcontractors, and it so nice when one of them is trouble free and more and an asset than a liability.

I had a minor issue with Stellrr Insulation so I wanted to meet with the owner at his place of business. His place of business just so happens to be the frost tower on congress street downtown. I was unsuccessful at finding his office in the tower and I feel some information may be somewhat deceptive on his web sites. Shawn Mansur is the supposed owner if this establishment but there are claims on the website that they have been on the news and other accolades that are deceptive. Shawn Mansur may be good with web marketing but claiming That you’ve been on the news etc. that’s a bit far fetched.

They make you feel like family. They stand by their work and forced me to be happy. You can't go wrong with Shawn and team, they will treat you well even if you don't deserve it. Which was true for me. :/

The fine folks at Stellrr did a more than STELLAR job installing closed cell insulation today. Our project was a little out of the ordinary, a 40ft bus conversion being turned into a tiny home, but Wayne and his team were great to work with to help us find an insulation solution that worked perfectly for our needs. Come insulation day Wayne brought along his granddaughter to see the big ‘ol bus- she kept busy picking wild flowers while Cameron sprayed a 3+ inch layer of closed cell insulation throughout the bus. The insulation will act as a moisture barrier, sound dampener and provides a heating/cooling value of more than R12. Wayne and his family even rearranged their busy schedules to jive with our tight schedule. All for a price that fit perfect into our bus budget.

From the very first phone conversation with Wayne it was an exceptional experience. Our house is 19 years old and had no clue about insulation, he answered all my questions and even gave me info I didn't know to ask. When Shawn came out to complete the job, he was on time, very knowledgeable and explain the entire process. He paid special attention to a hot spot we have in our house. Completed the job timely and cleaned up before they left. I never thought insulation could do so much, but we are very satisfied and that hot spot in the house no longer feels like a wall of heat when you walk in that room. Great Austin insulation service. I called Shawn because I moved into a house in central Austin that was built in the 1950's. My energy bills were higher in this 900sq ft house than they were in the 2,000sq ft home I used to own in Round Rock. The bigger home had spray foam insulation so it was super energy efficient. Anyway, I wanted to get the Stellrr Building Performance Diagnostic done to see what the problem areas were. I learned a lot in this process, and Shawn narrowed it all down to essentials versus extras. I went with the essentials and had my attic insulation done. I am very happy with the quality of their work, and caution to protect all of my belongings. And I have seen a big drop in my utility bills. So much so, that I will probably have paid for the work done in the next year, via my savings. Next year I will call them again to do the next step in the upgrade process.
