Eric and the team at South Austin Drywall did a great job on my studio. Eric was very responsive and clear about the schedule and pricing, and the guys got everything done in one day. Communication: 5 stars Drywall and sound proofing: 4 stars Painting: 3 stars Price: 4 stars (not the least expensive, but not the most expensive; quote was reasonable) *** Update *** I've used them 2 more times for large drywall soundproofing projects (~1000 sq ft each with swapping out doors) and I plan to keep using them for the remaining large projects I have. Raul, the lead drywall tech, is great. Really glad he's been the main person on all my projects *** I'll definitely use them again, but might not hire them to paint. Loved the communication from Eric and the crew was on-time and respectful (put protective coverings when needed). I knocked off a star for drywall because the smoothing of our textured walls led to our Legrand nickel outlets having dried drywall mud on them. I had to carefully clean them to not scratch the finish - the outlets are not cheap. Better prep and taping would've prevented this. Soundproofing definitely worked! I can barely sound from the others rooms.

Great team and great work! They patched up and painted an area in our living room and hallway and it looks seamless. Would definitely recommend them to anyone in South Austin needing drywall repair.

This is the second time I've engaged South Austin Drywall to replace the insulation (and drywall and paint) in rooms of my 50-year-old house. The team lead, Raul, is very conscientious and will take appropriate measures to protect your belongings and more delicate house features (like baseboards) from dust and damage. Very highly recommended!

We've used South Austin Drywall & Insulation on two different projects in our home - a kitchen remodel(they were able to match our old ceiling perfectly) and now a complete garage remodel. If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would. First of all, Eric worked with us big time when delays in our rebuild lead to me pushing back the start time of drywall install TWICE. He didn't give me any grief, just worked with me. MUCH appreciated because it gave us the time we needed to be ready. Second, the crew he uses is TOP NOTCH. Raul, Miguel, Jose, and the other guys worked their butts off in the heat and humidity day after day. They were VERY quick, extremely efficient, and did excellent work. My husband and I are VERY particular and we are impressed. They were also trustworthy and just overall nice guys. Great to talk to. Thank you all for getting us back in our home quicker and nicer than it was before!!

They did such a great job repairing the can lights in our ceiling. So many other contractors turned us down since they were worried about the paint not matching up. I don’t even need to paint over it because it looks that GOOD! I am so happy with the job they did. Plus got much higher quotes from other company’s. Their prices were fair. Highly recommend!!

They quickly setup an inspection to check out our situation - we wanted our garage drywall repaired and painted as well as fixing drywall holes throughout the house. They gave us a reasonable estimate and were patient while we found the time to schedule repairs. Then their team did a great job in a professional and clean way. Probably the best experience I’ve had with dealing with any type of home service repair. They sent a detailed quote with 3 different scenarios depending on the repair including best case and worst case which I really appreciated. The work they did was pretty much perfect- cannot even tell there was ever damage in the drywall they repaired. The best part of the entire process was that they came when they said they would and finished earlier than expected, and kept me in the loop the whole process- great communication! Also just really nice guys to deal with, I’d refer them in a heartbeat.

South Austin Drywall was great - they drywalled my Tuff Shed after it was insulated with open cell spray foam. It took them just 2 days to rough it out, and get it to a level 4 finish. The quality is great, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. My project had a few hiccups before drywalling, and they were very accommodating with their schedule. Communication was great, and the final inspection was flawless. Definitely recommend them for anything drywall!

Eric was professional and easy to work with when I requested an on-site inspection as follow up to the photos I submitted online. Omar came out to look at my ceiling to make sure the estimate was accurate. A few changes were made and the work was scheduled; the team worked well together and did a great job on my ceiling. We had a few lingering issues after the freeze including a hole in our wall from a burst pipe. Not to mention the years we’ve had a hole in our garage sheet rock. We had reached out to multiple companies before and no one replied/ we ended up being ghosted which was really frustrating. Omar and his partner were efficient and great at communicating with us. We had a number of visible drywall seams that needed repair. Some were on walls and some in the ceiling. One area was in our kitchen and was highly visible, so we really wanted that repair done well. We chose South Austin Drywall because of their good reviews and because they would paint as well as fix the drywall. I spoke with Eric about the work and sent him pictures. He gave me a prompt written estimate which was a range. Until his team saw the actual site, he explained that the work could be a bit more or less than he projected. When his crew arrived, they noticed several other seams that I had overlooked, and we decided to have those repaired as well. Eric promptly sent me a final updated invoice to reflect the new work to be done. It took about a day and half, and the results were excellent. The crew stripped off the old tape, refloated the seams, and matched the texture. They took the stripped off pieces to have the paint matched, and the result is that no one would notice that a repair had been done. We are very satisfied and would definitely use them again.

Easy 5 Stars. The freeze did a number on my Condo, and they were incredibly helpful through the entire process. They did great work quickly, and for an excellent price. I can't recommend them enough, and am looking forward to referring any of my friends or family that need work done.

Renovating a house that we bought and, after completing the new kitchen framing, I was ready for bids to hang new drywall on walls and ceiling, scrape popcorn and retexture the remaining ceiling throughout the whole house, and apply matching texture to the new walls. I called South Austin Drywall and another local company to provide bids. Not only did South Austin Drywall give me an estimate that was 1/3 of their competitor (yes, 1/3!), they were also able to meet my preferred timeline. Communication was fast and efficient, the quality of work was outstanding, and the crew finished ahead of schedule. I feel like I won the lottery by finding a local drywall company like this one. They’ve earned all my future business, and the highest recommendation possible.

South Austin drywall (I worked with Omar) dry walled two fireplace/tv walls and a vent hood to ceiling frame. He fit me in within a day after my call and finished work on a Sunday. The finished job is fantastic. Very detail oriented job and he installed drywall, mudded and textured the 3 areas. It is hard to describe how many edges and nooks this job entailed. Couldn’t be happier with the result. Don’t hesitate to use South Austin Drywall.

Received estimates from 2 other companies for relatively small drywall and baseboard replacement project in toilet room. Both estimated 1-1/2 to 2 days and $$. Then called Eric at South Austin Drywall. He scheduled Omar to visit my project. Omar completed the work in about 5 hours and did a fantastic job at a very fair and reasonable cost.
