Friendly professional service. The tech explained what was doing and gave me some really good advice!

I originally gave ARS a 5 star rating as I bought a new unit in June and the install and service was great. However, since installing the NEW unit I have had nothing but problems. ARS has sent multiple technicians to fix the AC, the heating element and the thermostat and they haven’t been fixed yet! I realize there are always issues and we are facing record lows…. But it’s been 55 degrees in my house for 3 days and 2 technicians later!

Best HVAC company in Texas. Great service. Plumbing as well. Used both here. Very Professional. Worth every dollar for what you receive in return. Stay comfortable. ARS Cares.

After a very bad experience with Airtron, I contacted ARS to get my AC fixed after waiting for Airtron for almost a week without a working AC at 97 degrees outside temperatures. I called ARS and they scheduled me for the next morning! Mike Clubb showed up and evaluated the issue, told me that he must order a part which he had shipped overnight from CA and on top of that, he absorbed the $50 overnight shipping fee! He called me the next morning to tell me that the part had arrived, came by in the afternoon and fixed my AC. After being treated like a beggar by Airtron, who I had a maintenance agreement with, the empathy, professionalism and excellent customer service ARS, and especially Mike, showed me, was very comforting. ARS will now be my new provider for my AC needs! They really rescued me from heat exhaustion after being in a hot house for almost one week! Airtron did not care! I highly recommend ARS/Rescue Rooters!

What’s with the price gouging? ARS provided an estimate today for $978 that I was able to get elsewhere for $375. My boyfriend got an estimate from ARS today too. $1500 that he was able to get elsewhere for $420. Make sure you get a second estimate before choosing ARS. Also, a while back, I used them for a new water heater and chose tankless because of local and federal rebates the salesperson told me about only to find out there was no local rebate and I’m not eligible for the federal one.

Had two plumbers out to check out a house built in the early 90s that was just purchased. They walked me through how to fix a minor issue or two myself with a trip to the hardware store instead of expensive unnecessary services. The patience and honesty really impressed me. The lack of a call fee was also a great benefit!

Had a tech come out due to my breaker on my furnace continually tripping. The tech arrived and worked on it a bit and said he could not fix it that night. He said he had to find out if the breaker could be replaced separately or if the whole heating element needed to be replaced. He finally called back the next day and said the whole heater element had to be replaced since the breaker couldn't be done separately aa it was one whole unit. Was given a quote of 1300 bucks before my membership discount. I felt something was off so I called another company and they said that yes the breaker could be replaced separately. The cost of the breaker is right at 95 bucks. The cost of the heating element is around 200 bucks. This is not right and I feel someone was just tryimg to pad the bill to get a higher commission. I have no problem paying a reasonable labor price but this is astronomical. Ive been without heat and ac ever since. Its just sad to see a company taking advantage of people like this especially a disabled veteran. I will be contacting Texas Department of licensing and regulation as I have the invoice i was sent showing the unit was one piece.

The communication before and during our service was excellent. The technician came prepared and had to spend some time diagnosing the problem. He presented solutions and alternatives. We've been using ARS for our HVAC for 10+ years now. There's a good reason for that.

ARS was referred to me by The Home Depot for a new water heater. Jerome was my first contact and he was super professional and definitely gave me the feeling that he knew what he was talking about. He did. He gave me several options. Corey, and others, was the onsite installer (tankless). Super professional, clean, efficient. I could not be more happy with the job they did. ARS took care of everything, plumbing, gas, electrical, roofing, and permits. Really a professional job! And, the system works flawlessly. Very happy with this work.

This was my third HVAC unit to be installed by ARS. They are professional as well as very nice. They explained everything and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend

A little upset. It was 7:30 pm. The tech had me sign stuff. I told him we didn't want to commit to anything and he said that there was nothing there that would do that. When I looked at the papers, I had signed for service. The kid lied. I called and told them and Alna said she canceled it. We don't want to spend a lot of money because the mobile home is going to be trashed .

I am unsure if we will use this service again. We used this company for an HVAC project through Home Depot. Our project started on Nov 14th and we didn't have a fully functioning HVAC system until December 12th. Our first interactions were great with the rep that found the issues with our system and the salesman. The first installers were very professional as well, and I think they were aware something with our gas furnace install was not correct. We were scheduled with a LP tech the following week and we were called the day of to reschedule till after Thanksgiving due to efficiency with staff. We were scheduled for December 2nd and thinking we would be prioritized from the reschedule I took a half day of PTO and the tech ended up not showing due to an "emergency case" and we were rescheduled for the following day. The next appointment time frame was scheduled and was a no show as well. A third appointment was scheduled and another no show. Our fourth appointment was scheduled and the LP tech actually showed and noted the installation errors and needed another part. Another follow-up was scheduled to install that part but it was determined we needed to replace the whole unit. So another appointment was set-up and this time it was all done on 12.12.25. During this, I tried reaching out with our issues to have a manager call and never heard anything. Reached out to our salesman as well with issues and never heard anything back. There was also a lot of miscommunication on our account page within the system and calling into a call center didn't help situations as well. I would highly suggest appointing a project manager or a POC customers can call directly with issues. Especially, bigger projects. I would also make sure that ARS is more proactive when not coming to appointments for communication so customers don't waste PTO or days off. The work groups we had also never vacuumed up after their work was finished and my wife and I had to. In the end, I believe our project was done correctly and ARS worked to make it right, but it was an experience.

100% bait and switch company. They will sell you lies, they told me in the morning that the service fee will include the repair and then 6 hours later, when I have little to no chance of getting another plumber they call back and say the plumber is on the way and will give you the estimate after they take a look. Service fee is due upon arrival and repair cost is extra. Stay away if you can

One of my kids had the bright idea to flush an apple...on December 23rd, way too close to the holiday. We were fortunate to have Peter come out and take care of our clogged line on Christmas Eve. Peter was extremely courteous and explained everything he was doing. Needless to say, a working toilet is now my kid's Christmas gift.

Cleared major sink clog in kitchen at the P”trap Timely service, excellent communications Miguel and Shaun were an awesome duo. Service was rendered with precision and professionalism. Not a single drop spilled. All debris was meticulously hauled away. Project completed in less than a half-hour. Pricey-yes, but worth it especially with it being DEC 23d. They left my space clean!

After two false starts and one week later the HVAC system is finally up to par just as when i bought the house. Dessi at customer service was pilar to get it to the goal line. Hopping that for the next 12 months this unit is flawless and no more issues for the following 9 years. (Initial issues: Installation of a brand new unit is taking 15 hours, definitely not a good start. Humidity sensor broken and not replaced. Expansión valve not working after installation)

Good, professional crew came and installed brand new HVAC system. Answered all my questions and explained everything. Installed the exact thermostats I wanted too. Did a walkthrough with me afterwards. Would recommend.

Excellent service! The technician, Kyle Dennis, has always been on time for the appointments. He had installed tankless water heater and water softener at our home two years ago. Nice to see him back today when I called ARS for water heater issue. He’s quite knowledgeable and gets the job done quickly.

Jacob and Justin replaced an old gas water heater and brought the plumbing up to code. They were very professional, explaining everything without condescending to a DIYer who has replaced water heaters before. It wasn't cheap, but hiring them was worth the money. Coreen followed up repeatedly, ensuring accountability through the scheduling the inspection. Would hire again.

Ars rescue rooter is anything but professional. We have had nothing but trouble since we started working with them. We first hired them when our original system broke down. They informed us that the compressor was bad and that it would actually be cheaper to update the entire system than to continue to fix our old one. The system was old so we trusted they knew what they were talking about. We got the new system and right away the regrets came. The ac stopped cooling soon after the install and they said we had a drainage issue even though they are the ones that put it in. They came again and again to fix the "issue" but it never seemed to ever be in good working condition. They also charged for every time they came to flush it. After that our motor went out, of course it conviently went out after warranty had expired, it was also right after they were just here to "flush" our system yet again. They charged us over 2000 dollars for that, after countless charges for the flushes. The year that our warranty expired we had worked hard to pay off an ac system that was costing us more than our original system. It also turns out that the system they recommended was no longer being used because it was being discontinued, but they were the ones to give the recommendation. Now right at the time the cold front comes in, the system is broken again. We were surprised since we just got the motor fixed and now the compressor is out. The whole reason we updated our original system was because of the compressor, yet that's what's broken in this 1 year old unit. Of course they refuse to make right their wrong. That is even after I told them I needed it fixed because we had kids in the house and knew the temperature drop would be bad for them. We are all sick and they care nothing about that. In the end I don't recommend ars rescue rooter because they do not live by their slogan. They have made nothing work and nothing about this is right. Also, if you have a family they are not the people to trust with your needs.

Clogged sewer lines. Unclogged. Claimed cracks& disconnected pipes were causing backups. TV’d the line. Great for clogged lines. However they tv’d the line we were told, sagging line & disconnected joint of pipe, water leaking & eroding soil under house. Told us we’d need tunneling to replace pipe. Master tech did not keep In contact w us, until we called after 4 days of no digging. Blamed it on installers quit. Installers finally came out, 8 days after tunneling, fixed section near Clean out. The Plumber master tv’d line & found sag. But said not major concern at this time.

This was for my condo in Austin. We live in Dallas. The new tenant moved in on Friday to sulphur smelling water. Mark came out and quickly replaced the water heater. He had to work overtime. I was SO happy that he was committed to doing a great job and finishing up tonite! Now, my tenant is happy!

Got a referral for ARS from Lowe’s website. The guy who gave the in home quote was great and gave info on 5% off or 0% interest for the whole thing on my existing Lowes card. The installer showed up near the beginning of the appointment window and had two assistants with them. They worked straight through their appointment replacing two functional but 20+ year old water heaters in the attic. They put towels down from the door to the attic to catch any water or dirt, took care to not flush sediment down our septic, and walked me through the new system. Great job! Would highly recommend ARS Rescue Rooter for just about any plumbing related issue.

Had an emergency Sunday morning where I lost water to my house, so I called and they got me in for the afternoon. After they never showed up, I called and was told that I would have to be pushed to tomorrow’s schedule because ‘there are people with emergencies’. So, we moved it to today, and 2 hours after they missed that window they sent a text saying we were on the schedule for tomorrow. Very disappointing after the last time we used them where everything went very well. As it is, I called another plumber and they came out within 2 hours and resolved the issue in 15 minutes.

ARS was great to work with all the way up to fixing my water line issue. Professional, prompt, and great communication. However after that I have attempted to contact them six times to see when the 50ft trench in my yard would be filled in to complete the project. I've contacted the project supervisor, called in to ARS directly and no one will call me back with an update on when this will be finished. Still waiting......... Update as of 12/8 I have called twice more since my original post. Appointment was scheduled for 12/8 and ARS could not make it. I had taken off work and they did not show. I called in and now we are scheduled for 12/11. Still waiting.......

Had an appointment for 2pm-6pm. By 6:40 pm no one had showed and we got a call stating they were “too busy” to get to us. Highly disrespectful behavior and absolutely unacceptable. So glad I learned the character of this company before giving them a dime. Don’t waste your time if you expect actual customer service- it won’t happen.

Very Disappointed Purchased a new HVAC system in April. First cold snap, heater didn’t work. Technician showed up late, clueless, and swapped our quality Lyric thermostat for a cheap manual one. Next cold snap, heater still broken or not working again. Took another day off work, tech now is over 4 hours late to his appointment. No no courtesy calls no texts and dispatch not helpful at all. Worst service experience I’ve ever had. Considering having them remove the system and have someone reputable install a working system.

Had to wait 3 months for an appointment. Confirmed the appointment. They failed to show up during the 8-12 window. Their automated system hung up on me when i called to cancel. I’d look for a more professional company to work with.

I was initially given an appointment window of 2-6pm. At 5:30, I called because I had not heard from the plumber. I was told that I was on the schedule and the tech would contact me shortly. I called again at 6:30 because no one had called/shown up and got the same response. Five minutes later, I received a call that a technician would be there in an hour. He showed up as planned, was very pleasant and fixed my issue free of charge. The service was excellent but the customer service was lacking.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awesome Job by ARS Rescue Rooter! My home AC recently stopped working right, and the team from ARS Rescue Rooter came through big time! Carlos Yi (Lead) and Edgar Garcia (Helper) did an amazing job replacing my old unit with a brand-new, top-of-the-line system — all in under five hours! I honestly thought it would take all day. They worked smoothly together, inside and outside the house, keeping great communication the whole time. When the job was done, they cleaned up everything — no mess left behind. Now my house is cool and cozy again, just how I like it. I couldn’t be happier with their teamwork, professionalism, and the quality of their work. Highly recommend ARS Rescue Rooter — especially Carlos and Edgar — for anyone needing AC service!

Had ARS come out months ago because of broken outside faucet. They arrived same day when other companies couldn't make it out until the following day. Service itself was great. However, since then I've received numerous solicitation calls. I've had two calls this week alone. Despite good service, I'm unlikely to use them again simply because of the repeated unsolicited phone calls. Updated review to add one should not have to ask for companies to not call daily soliciting. I'm not a fan of solicitors calling but can overlook an occasional one. What's happening here is ridiculous. I've blocked ARS calls and noticed today that they have called and left voicemails this week daily. Photo added of voicemail screenshot.

Had an appt to get estimate for HVAC replacement. Appt was between 8am-10am. I took off work to be home. At 11am, still no show. No call or text to say they are running late, etc. I had to call THEM for an update and they said rep was on the way. No thanks, next company please.

Responsive to my request. Regret that I probably would not have needed the costly assistance had ARS provided me with maintenance information at install which was an early complaint of mine. John was very good and took care of my service quickly and he taught me what I should have been told when I spent $14,000 on the system.

Decent service but overpriced. Only reason my install was a decent price was cause they price matched someone I’d highly recommend getting other quotes. Then once the 1 year service warranty is expired their labor prices are at least double anyone else’s

Very unprofessional. Had to reschedule twice because the service tech did not show up. When I called in about it, the first rep read back to me the appointment time without my prompting, then escalated. The supervisor rep tried to tell me the appointment was never made and I should set up a new one. BS The tech that showed up went through very quickly and said there were no leaks or issues. I later checked myself with a thermal camera and found three large (>5 cm^2) gaps, including a panel that was flapping about. What were they checking? He mentioned he would send an inspection list but I never got it.

I couldn’t be happier with the service John provided. From the moment I reached out, he was prompt, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He quickly got to work with the plumbing issues I was having. He explained everything clearly, and got the job done efficiently and neatly. You can tell he genuinely cares about the quality of his work and his customers’ satisfaction. Highly recommend John to anyone in need of plumbing services. He’s definitely my go-to plumber from now on!

NEVER AGAIN! Setup appointment between 12pm and 4pm; they didn't come and didn't call that day, then showed up the NEXT DAY. Go to Radiant Plumbing. ARS gets 1-star for William who handled my frustration like a champ, though not in a position of resolution.

This review for ARS Rescue Rooter, regarding the promise not to send a repair person for the service, was originally made from Wednesday to Friday afternoon. I received a phone call from Kim stating that there was a scheduled tune-up for the AC on Friday. However, Kim then said she had to reroute her driver to another client for repairs. She mentioned that the same driver would then come to our home for the tune-up. There was never a phone call back from Kim about whether the tune-up job would be completed on that same day.

The service was great but the price was outrageous. Our drain line was clogged so he shot some compressed air through it. The charge was $277. Won’t be using them again.

Sharing my bad experience. I had AC tuning done through this guys. Professional came and did clear out the blocked outlet by blowing it. He suggested to replace the capacitor and charged 390(includes 45 as labor). I should have taken second opinion. Apparently outside it can be done using 150. Two days after the tuning, my AC started making noise. Professional came and told me that my blower needs to be replaced and quoted 1900. This time I went for second opinion and turns out, noise was coming from a near by metal frame that I kept near the unit in the attic(was using attic as storage). I am surprised with this discovery. Lesson, always go for second opinion and just don't trust ARS blindly.

The technician, Peter, was very personable and knowledgeable of my plumbing situation. He explained everything he was going to do before starting work so I understood what the issue was and what he was going yo do to correct the issue. He cleared a clog that was further down the line that was causing my Jack-n-Jill sinks to back up. He and his apprentice Alex ensured they cleaned up the work area and after all services were completed.

Title: Very disappointed with ARS/Rescue Rooter’s service and accountability I purchased my generator/HVAC unit from ARS/Rescue Rooter about three years ago, and I’m already dealing with compressor issues. When I called ARS to diagnose the problem, they sent two different technicians who gave me two different explanations. My unit is under parts warranty, but the labor warranty had expired, and they tried to charge me for a new compressor. One tech even suggested the unit was too small for my home, which could explain why it hasn’t been cooling properly. I escalated to Quality Assurance and spoke with Supervisor Missy, who said there was nothing they could do because I hadn’t kept up with maintenance. I then brought in another HVAC company for a second opinion. They found the compressor issue was related to how it was installed when the unit was put in, which explains why it failed after only three years. Routine maintenance would not have prevented or detected that installation problem, and the compressor was completely burnt out. I’m very dissatisfied with ARS/Rescue Rooter. For a large company, they seemed focused on charging me rather than taking responsibility for a major component failure so soon after purchase. I won’t trust them with any future work. In my experience, this is not a company that puts customers first. I do not recommend them.

Great efficient team worked so well together in replacing the indoor and outdoor units. They tested the indoor efficiency multiple times and ensured the unit was working well. I got instructions on the thermostat and then they cleaned everything up like they were never there. I was very pleased with the team and how quickly they completed their work.

I had an excellent experience with the ARS company. The team was knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to meeting my needs throughout the installation process. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and worked with me to find the best solution. I really appreciate their professionalism and dedication. I would highly recommend them with confidence to anyone looking for quality service and reliable results.

Quick install of all but wiring was great but I was told would complete in the following 2 days and now 11 days later not completed with wiring. Didn't get a call back until I asked for a manager. Then no show today for a 8-10am appt with no communication. Just beware, do not sign any installed paperwork until the job is 100% completed

2024: James Maldonado is professional, honest, quick and reliable. I appreciate him not trying to pressure up-sale me which some with ARS technicians do. He is focused on completing the task, which he does in an exceptional manner. I will only use James for my plumbing issues. We scheduled ARS for a simple drain clog and it turned into one of the worst service experiences we’ve had. They no-showed on our scheduled day, repeatedly told us we were “next,” and later claimed they’d called us about an overbooking — which never happened. Today, the first tech arrived without equipment, and the second quoted $400 to clear a clog we had already identified. Dishonest, unprepared, and overpriced. We will not use ARS again.

They showed up on time but didn’t have the correct vent pipe so they were supposed to to schedule the next week to finish. No one called. After 6 phone calls to various people and the office I finally got it taken care of after two months. They tried to make it right but with coupons and elite service with them and I don’t want to use them again. The second time they came to finish the vent pipe, they left a dirty rag on the brick ledge and they got some purple pipe glue in my laminate flooring since they didn’t put the paper down like they did the first time. I had to sweep and mop the floor when they got done.

The guy that came out was super nice and helpful. The prices were insane and the trip charge that doesn’t even go towards the work is also unfortunate. My drain pan was full and condensate line was clogged. They wanted to charge me $550 to unclog it + $109. I called another company while ARS was here and the other company came out within 20 mins, unclogged the line/ drained the pan in 15 mins and only charged me $125. Not sure how there is such a price discrepancy.

David was an amazing tech, fast friendly and knowledgeable. Explained a cool way to prevent Freon leakage from frequent service calls (every time you put a gauge on/off, you lose a small amount). 410 is now discontinued…so adding Freon in the future might be impossible…and would require a new ac that uses 454 instead. This tip might one day save me or a future home owner thousands of AC replacement costs. Thanks David.

Came with 5 crew members. They tried to move my register as I requested but the design of house made it not possible but they tried! Rebuilt the floor the unit stands on and installed all in one day! The sales representative spent time and answering questions even when I asked twice. He followed up with messages even when I had issues. Even Responded when I had issues at night with my own electrical system. Even though their support staff does not work at night, they had representative answering the phone at 11pm was kind. Most importantly you can tell by the accent of the schedulers they were local not overseas. I had trouble with my breaker and then they replaced it labor free. Oh they were sweet to my dogs and my dogs approved the whole team! Also installed a purge protector because of our lovely electrical grid having a history of surges! And when I remembered at last minute to direct the condensation away from my foundation (mine was going on a up grade) they had no problems with that! Now my unit is up to code! And my slab with the house was not far enough away from house so they used the existing slab and new base to move it away from house. Also like the 10 yr warranty!

Posting on my wife’s account, this is Joe. Unfortunately, our AC went out this past Wednesday afternoon on a house we have up for sale. Our new house is an hour away and my wife was at our old house doing some work as it’s closer to her office and I am out of town for work. I called ARS that evening and had someone out the next day and they determined our unit was damaged and we needed a new one. A salesman came out that same day and spoke to my wife and we determined to move forward with ARS since he said they could be out the next day, Thursday, and have a new one installed. They seemed like a reputable company, but now I feel I should have done my due diligence and gotten a couple of other quotes. We knew we had potential buyers coming on Saturday and Sunday, so we felt good that we would be good to go with a new AC unit. They installed the new unit on Friday and they said the mother board was bad and they would be back on Saturday with a new one. They came back on Saturday and said that that one was bad also. I called three numbers Saturday afternoon, while working out of town. All I got were phone agents and I told them I needed to speak to someone now and told them the issue. They told me a customer satisfaction agent would reach out to me next week, really! You know you have a customer with an issue and you tell them it could be a week to talk to someone! I am a VERY upset customer, especially dropping five figures into this and the communication with ARS is UNACCEPTABLE! They took my money in an instant, but here we are three days later with no response and no idea when they will be back out. Now my wife is back at our new house, an hour away, and the logistics to be back to meet them will be a challenge. Do your shopping and talking before pulling the trigger with ARS!

We came home to an extremely hot home on a late Friday afternoon and called for a service technician. Roy Robert’s came out and did an excellent job of diagnosing our problem and was very patient explaining things to us. Cold air is now coming into the house and hopefully the 89* now inside the house will fall during the night. Great job Roy.

purchase a complete Air/Heating unit. We thought Austin did a great job explaining and presenting options for us. Very happy with the installers as well. Now just waiting for your election to replace the circuit breakers to the correct one.

Karl did a great job on our yearly maintenance. He came out and explained everything he did to check the system and talked me through what I can do to keep things running efficiently. Great experience and a heck of a nice guy.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Look elsewhere if you want reliable fast and efficient service. Their call center is a joke. It’s more of a sales call center. Don’t buy their membership and they might just leave you hanging for six hours after saying they were on the way to help us with our AC emergency. Wish I had known this would’ve saved me lots of time and sweat. Pick someone else!! Trust me.

Great customer service professional and courteous. Called ARS for a clogged kitchen sink, and what do you know, the Tech Peter showed up, and fixed the problem, same day. Couldnt ask for better service, and didn't break the bank.. ARS you guys are awesome, especially Peter, who really grew fond of my pet buddy Rex!

I called at 3 o’clock and by 5 he was here. He came very nice and even put slippers in so I didn’t have to worry about that. He did a great job on my tune up for my AC and also noted I needed to flush my ac drain more often.

Technician came to look at my AC system. Asked him to use the house to get to the backyard to avoid letting my dog out. Came back to the gate open and still have not seen my dog. This is on top of the $109 diagnostic fee to tell me what my 90 degree house already told me. That my system doesn’t work. And then a $2800 proposal to replace two parts worth $250 for an hr of work. Pricing isn’t the techs fault but lord have mercy. Used a local company and got the system fixed for a fraction of the cost and no lost dogs.

Updating again. The tech came back out and determined the issue is actually our attic insulation. Meaning I could’ve spent $2-3,000 to have that redone instead of spending almost $13,000 on an entirely new HVAC. If we’d known the insulation was the issue, we would’ve done that and the old unit probably would’ve been fine a little while longer. I was told a manager would be calling me this morning to discuss this and still haven’t heard from them. Coming back to add that satisfaction is quickly dropping. It’s Monday now and the installation was done 2 days ago. The first full day the unit has struggled to maintain the temp. I mentioned to the installer after the unit was turned back on I wasn’t feeling any air flow and was told it would take time (?). I understand it wouldn’t be blowing super cold right off the bat but there should’ve been some better air flow. Sunday the thermostat was set to 72 but reading 77 so we called the 24/7 service. I was told someone would come between 6 and 10. Then they called and rescheduled to come between 8 and 12 the next morning. Made sure to assure me our service call would take priority and someone would be here first thing Monday morning. Just received another phone call rescheduling us again and now won’t have anyone here til late afternoon. From start to finish we had a great experience. The salesman made a personal connection with us and took his time to be thorough on his inspection. He didn’t make us feel rushed or uncomfortable when it came time to make a decision. The techs came an hour early to start installation and were very quick to get started. We were quoted this job would take 4-5 hours and it ended up taking around 8 but not at the fault of the techs. It was due to issues found once they got started and the previous HVAC not being installed correctly. They went out of their way to ensure everything was up to code and installed correctly.

Technician (Troy) was very knowledgeable and helpful/friendly. The call representative felt pretty disorganized though. It took me about 8 calls to actually get an appointment. I was constantly told a technician would be out within a few hours over a three day timespan. The day the technician came out, I had to call four times for the appointment to actually get confirmed. Once he was out here, it was super smooth to get things resolved.

Roy Roberts was extremely informed and explained everything well. I highly recommend him. The AC service promo was a great price. The company way overcharges for any parts install but them perhaps all companies in this Austin do these days

My elderly father needed a complete new AC/heater. I had 4 companies give us bids and we ended up choosing ARS based on product, other reviews, price, and length of time in business. But ultimately decided on ARS because of the comfort advisor Richard Scardino's actions. Even though my husband and I did most of the talking, several times he turned back to my father to make sure he agreed with everything. Instead of excluding him, he made sure my father felt included. Awesome salesmanship!! August 8 This is an update to my first review. The service technicians Christopher F. and Marcos G. showed up on time the day after we approved the bid for the new AC/Heater. They were very professional and completed their work in record time. Both of them need to be praised for their work! The following day, my father let me know that he could not see the thermostat and wanted a different one. I called Richard and let him know that I would buy the unit if he could get it put in for me. It took a couple of days to come out, but he managed to get a tech out and it was installed in about 15 minutes. ARS to the rescue again!

AC technician Roy Roberts arrived and listened to my concerns and time constraints. He got promptly to work. Checking all aspects of our air conditioning system both inside and out, he confirmed that it was functioning properly and required nothing further than this annual check up. He conducted himself professionally and was a pleasure to work with. I will request him when our heating/air conditioning system is due for service again.

I was interested in installing a mini split A/C unit. I went to Lowe’s to look at some mini split units. An employee said that he can take my phone number and that someone would call me to come by my house to give me an estimate. He did not say who it was. I’ve never had any issues with Lowe’s contractors. I immediately received a phone call from a company called ARS/Resue Rooter. The lady sounded friendly and said they had an open appointment on that same day, which was Sunday. We waited all day and no one showed up. Next day, I received a phone call from the company who said they were “swamped” with other customers, but said they would send someone out on Monday between 4 and 6pm. I said it was fine. On Monday, nobody showed up. The next day I received another phone call by the company, this time saying that the guy that was supposed to stop by got stuck in an attic somewhere. I figured this is probably not the best company to use in the future. The guy on the phone apologized and said to give them another opportunity and said someone would stop by on Tuesday. Well, this time a guy showed up at 6:35pm, which was outside of the appointment window. He appeared to be in a hurry to make this a quick appointment. The first thing he said was that this would cost $4,000 for labor, maybe more. He said, “Yeah, I that’s not what you were expecting right?” He never looked at the house or did any kind of inspection. I told him that was kind of steep, then he said that depending on my current set-up, installation costs can climb to $12,000 easily. I told him, “Ok”. He quickly left as if my time was not important. I spoke with the Lowes’ manager to complain about ARS/Rescue Rooter. He said they have received complaints on the company as well and said, “Thank you for your input”. I am glad in a way that his happened so I know never to do business with ARS/Rescue Rooter.

Quick to respond quick to schedule an appointment! I worked with Peter, and he shared a lot of information but didn’t push for unnecessary expensive upgrades. Overall, their technicians seem very informed, and their professional would recommend them to others!

EDIT: It pains me to update this review in this way, but this company is now calling me nearly every day (using an autodialer) , trying to sell me a service and check up. I have asked to be removed a couple of times and they continued to call as well from different numerous numbers. I will never do business with them again, nor recommend them. They assured me I would be removed from the call list within 30 days. Which mind you I think is also a ridiculously long timeframe. This story begins with me installing new LVP flooring and drilling into the concrete slab to install anchors for a transition piece. Well I drilled right into a water line. I knew the fix wasn't going to be easy or cheap, and I was without water. I called a few other places on the night of this happening and they didn't even bother to call me the next morning to follow up. I then went with ARS on the recommendation of a coworker who works in the industry. They promptly dispatched John C. John was cordial, explained the process, and was upfront about the cost. He worked to chip through the concrete and find the hole I accidentally drilled. He also confirmed my suspicions that this pipe was WAY too shallow when the house was built. Furthermore, he took care of my concerns about the tile being damaged in the process and even used hand tools as needed. Everything went as planned, and I was hooked back up with water in about 3-4 hours. ARS price came in at half of a local big competitor that had some goofy subscription plan they tried to sell me to lower the price. John deserves praise for his work, and I would trust him with all of my plumbing needs moving forward.

I had a terrible experience with ARS. I had a competitor that could come the next day to help with my AC who wasn’t charging me a service fee. I knew that I needed refrigerant so there was no need for a diagnostic and I told the customer service rep on the phone this. They ended up waiving the service fee on the phone and sent somebody out same day. When the tech arrived, he did not see the service waive on his end and mentioned that they never do this and I must pay. I called customer service with him in the room to which they said in front of him that they are waiving the service fee for me. He then proceeded to go outside and call somebody on his end and came back and said they will be charging me a service fee if I would like to proceed. I ultimately decided to pay with the intent of calling back the same people who promised they would waive in the first place. He then proceeded to run his diagnostics and told me I needed refrigerant….which I already knew. In addition, he mentioned that the first pound of refrigerant would be $575 and then 200+ for each incremental pound. The competitor that was going to come for me a the following day was not charging a service fee and told me that refrigerant 401a would be $75 a pound. I have no idea how they can get off charging ludicrous prices for a commodity like 401a. Overall, I would not recommend going with this company and would always prioritize trying to use family owned businesses in the future.

While the technician was nice and they are quick to support with an appointment, I cannot believe how much I had to pay for what ended up being a 30-minute fix from doorbell to driving away. I bought a brand new unit through them, got it serviced through them, and now I’ve had it fixed twice with them and it will be the last time. It’s as if they fix it and then ensure something else will go wrong again soon. I don’t believe that to be true but it sure seems that way right now.

This was a late evening appointment but our technician (Roy) did not rush his analysis or explanation to us. It was evident that he knew what was going on with our unit. He was clear and professional. We appreciate his patience. He took the time to give us direct feedback and recommended that we contact him for additional questions if necessary. We would not hesitate to contact him for future issues with our HVAC system. Thank you Roy for the outstanding customer service! Dona M

The Service call was prompt and efficient! Roy Robert’s is an exemplary service technician. He took the time to explain everything to us and fixed a bad situation as my wife is a stage 4 brain cancer patient. He completed the repair in a timely manner and did not try force anything unnecessary. He did advise us to get a free quote since our unit is 15 years old. I appreciated his honesty. We will ask for Roy if future services are needed. Shannon and Michelle were amazing as well. Thank you guys! Give them more money! Great job all around!-Dom and Rosana

Same day service. Free estimate. Problem solved in record time. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Did I mention they cleaned up after themselves? This company is my best plumbing experience in 10 years of living in Austin again! Thank you!

I had a great experience with ARS Rescue Rooter when they replaced my water heater. Guillermo and Jose did the installation — they were clean, efficient, kind, and very informative. John, the advisor, walked me through all my options and was incredibly personable and helpful. The price point for my work was the going rate. The whole process was smooth and professional. Highly recommend!

We experienced an emergency that required us to contact ARS. Their licensed plumber Mark Hinojosa came to the rescue. He inspected the area and discovered the problem. He proceeded to handle it from there. He quoted price and estimated time period to complete the job. He completed the job quickly and was on his way. We appreciate his courtesy in working around our schedule and office routine. A big shout out to Mark, and ARS.

My AC stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. ARS Gave me a vague service window time that someone could come by. When I got another company to give me a firm time, I called ARS to cancel and was told that the tech was 20 minutes away. I kept that appointment and cancelled the other one. An hour later, I called back and was told that my ticket hadn't actually been assigned to anyone. But I was assured someone was coming that day. By this point it was too late for me to try and arrange for another company to come out. at 7 pm, ARS called and let me know no one was coming. I asked what happened to the tech who was 20 minutes away. I expressed disappointment that I could have had another company come out, but choose to keep my appointment with ARS when I was told someone was on the way. I asked the person on the phone if he thought it was acceptable that they lie to customers. He offered no discounts, only assurances that someone could come first thing in the morning. Very disappointing experience with this company.

Roy Robert’s from ARS properly diagnosed our a/c system after several weeks of problems. It’s a newer system and we had several companies out to look and repair it. The problem was simple math and calculating the proper amount of return ventilation needed to go into a 4 ton a/c which was upgraded from the 3 ton a/c. This return ventilation needed for the a/c and a few repairs from an electrical surge where exactly what was needed. ARS with Roy nailed it and our system operates normally and without strain. We are glad we chose ARS and Roy Robert’s to repair our a/c system. He knows his trade very well.

Jose and Guillermo So these two guys came to my house to replace my water heater. They did a superb job. They were very professional and courtesy. They explained the operation of the new water heater. They came into the house and checked to ensure the bathtubs water was drained from debris. They are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing. Couldn’t have asked for any other guys to do this job. They wasted no time getting this heater reinstalled up and operational. They deserve ten stars ⭐️. Thanks Jose and Guillermo for an outstanding job.

ARS did a fantastic job from start to finish. When my air conditioning went out, they had a technician out the same day. The technician would not be able to repair the problem, so they sent out someone to quote me a price for a completely new system later that day. They gave me a really good deal on the new system and it was installed two days later. They were prompt, respectful, and they cleaned up after themselves after making sure everything was installed properly and worked. I subscribed to their membership program and received a 10% discount on a 5 figure purchase. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks ARS.

The guys did good. Forgot to close lid on power source. Forgot to re-attach outdoor plastic drain hose. Very happy they came out the next morning after AC quit. Forgot to turn the attic light off.

I was introduced to this company from Home Depot. The sales man was great and really showed how good the company and their work was. Even though it was a fair bit more expensive we went with it due to the great salesman. But the work and service did not match what we were told! The guys were nice and fast but we paid for all of our ducts to be replaces fully insulated. I told the sails guy things to lookout for and he said his crew would do that and agreed on this. They did not! I had to go up into my attic and check myself as I felt something was off. When I went up there I found that the things we agreed to were not done. 3 of my ducts were not replaced, even had a hole in it! They secured their crawl boards on top of the electrical line, which you do not do!! They double stacked the ducts on one hanger so one was crushed down to 75% air flow so my sons room is hotter than it was earlier before I paid them $7000.00 for this. There was fiber glass on the carpet they left. I called the salesman and went over this first visit to replace the ducts. He scheduled a crew to replace the missed ducts. I then poked my head up there and saw the restricted ducting as my son needed fans to sleep. I called and left another message. I was called back and they asked for pictures. I emailed these. I was told it would be fixed. Weeks went by, no calls or scheduling to fix it. I called again when I found another problem after the insulation was pumped in. I was told again that they would schedule this and the date and time. No one called or came out. Now I'm pretty upset and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad review so I called again. Left a message no response! So we had this work done in May and it's July still not fixed and I know have to go up in the hot attic and fix their work. Pay for the things they covered with insulation, but where supposed to be collected and put in a box per the agreement. I don't know what else I will find. But very disappointed and for the normal home owner who does not crawl up in the attic to inspect these guys work I feel bad as they don't know what the are not doing even though paid for and a lot!!!! They said all their work is guaranteed but you can't get them out to fix their work!
