Phase 2 (gutter cleaning, moss abatement, and final finishing of the chimney) is now complete. Guilmar Alarcon, my last technician, continued the professional and efficient performance each person who worked on my project exhibited. This review is only for my experience getting a quote. After weeks of being ignored by other roofing companies, guardian quickly answered the phone and scheduled a quick and convenient time for someone to come out and give me a quote. Although guardian may not be able to repair my damaged carport roof, Ron and his assistant Blake were knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, and went above and beyond to investigate my roof issues on my carport and even had a look at a separate area for me. I was so impressed that I won’t hesitate to go back to guardian with any future roofing needs for my house!

Logan and his partner Gabriel did a fantastic job installing our new gutters! Showed up right on time and walked us through the process for the installation. Got right to work tearing down the old gutters and cleaning up as they went along! Measured for the new gutters and made them right out of the back of their truck! Installation turned out wonderful! Very thorough, knowledgeable. Provided a detailed report of the status of our roof (which jibed with my own observations). Presented Guardian as maybe not the least expensive, but among , if not, the best out there. Quote a bit of a shock, but we have a complex roof and going from shakes to shingles adds up. Offered less expensive options with less warranty, etc. Like his suggested option, hope his pencil sharpener is working. 1/16/26 - Post-roofing and gutter install, we had a issue with a section of original gutter over a window wall that couldn't accept the newer Guardian gutters. A small, but challenging problem that took a few tries, but Chester Gao, our contact person, kept on top of it, and got the problem resolved. Good on him and the two Guardian workers that did the work.

The survey did not allow me to enter the Salesman that helped us, but his name was Deepesh Mishra. He did a great job in explaining the company and giving us our options for new gutters. We had our gutters installed; the color and curb appeal was great! The installation team did a great job, too!

The technician and the Guardian manager I spoke with today, do not have my best interests at heart, evidenced by today’s visit. He made the original repairs, then that repair area leaked into the house after rains (never leaked before), and when it was tarped the leaks had stopped! Yet Guardian is not willing to accept any responsibility and took away the tarp that had stopped the leaks. Bottom line: Guardian does not stand behind their work and the technicians are trained more like salesmen than technicians. I’m going with another company for roof replacement and will stay away from this bunch. UPDATE: In response to my 1-star review, Guardian responded with thanking me for a 5-star review! This explains why their Google reviews rating is at 3.8/4.0, they just convert to 5-stars no matter what you rated them :-) This is entirely consistent with the behavior and professionalism of the two clowns I dealt with from Guardian, namely Darwin Johnson and Orlando Rodas.

A friend from work told me to call Guardian and I’m so happy I did. Andrew showed me the condition of my roof with a really cool video and that all I needed was a couple of repairs and to remove the moss. He assured me I’ve got 10 years left before replacing the entire thing. I really appreciate the professionalism and honesty.

Gabe and Andrew were both courteous, professional & knowledgeable. They were able to address all of our questions and concerns and gave us multiple options. We appreciated their approach as they were not pushy and seemed genuinely motivated to help. We would recommend Guardian to anyone who may need roofing or gutter work completed.

Francisco L and his crew came out exactly when he said they would, made sure to protect our Christmas decorations, worked very hard for 3 days before Christmas and two more after Christmas. They worked past dark each day and still cleaned up before they left. They even came back the morning after they finished to make sure everything was cleaned up properly. The entire crew were polite, professional, and very pleasant. After Francisco and his roofers were finished, Daniel R and crew installed pur new gutters. Once again, extremely friendly, polite, and professional. Our house looks fantastic, thanks to Guardian and crews. They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you, everyone we dealt with at Guardian!!!!

Peter and Justin came out to develop an estimate for me (Gutter repair/replace and roof cleaning). Peter was extremely articulate, friendly, and knowledgeable. His presentation on your company was outstanding. Peter is someone I would want working for me if I had a business.

Justin came to do an estimate for roof moss cleaning and inspection, he was very friendly and professional and thorough. We went over everything about the roof and gave an honest assessment. Also was great with our rescue dog!!

Blake came to my house in a timely manner after my call to guardian. He was courteous, informative, and did a very thorough job of assessing the gutter replacement project. He was able to provide me with a presentation of the materials that would be used and the improvements needed in the gutters.

We hired Guardian Roofing, Gutters & Insulation in mid-October 2025 and paid about $17,000 based on their assessment that their work would resolve our roof leak issues. Skylight replacement was discussed as “nice to have,” but not required; we relied on their recommendation and proceeded with the agreed scope. On Nov 1, 2025—the first significant rain after the work—we experienced a severe leak that started immediately during the rain and appeared in new areas of the home (including the living room) that had never leaked before. This caused interior damage (ceiling cracking/water intrusion/moisture concerns). After that, there were many follow-up visits (10+). The leak only stopped after a temporary tarp was placed around the skylight area. Despite this, the company later shifted to blaming the skylight as “end-of-life,” characterized repairs as “goodwill,” and would not proceed with certain diagnostics/remediation unless we agreed to their conditions (including signing a liability waiver for damage from a water test and/or paying change orders). They pushed a paid skylight replacement with weeks of lead time. We expected a warranty-backed resolution and a clear root-cause fix. Instead we were left with ongoing stress, significant interior damage, and no satisfactory remediation. I cannot recommend based on our experience.

Best decision I ever made was calling Guardian to inspect my roof. Andrew came out, throroughly explained what was going on, and Uriel made sure it happened in a seamless manner. I highly recommend this team for any of your roofing concerns.

This is the second time I've used Guardian Roofing. Orlando did a great job at replacing 4 cracked bathroom vents on my roof. The project manager, Malia, kept me informed through the whole process. I would hire Guardian Roofing again!

Andrew was incredibly helpful with determing if our roof was going to need replacing prior to selling our building. Gabriel came out and found the issue...fixed the leak...and made sure to explain exactly what was going on. Gabriel was amazing and the entire company is worth every penny. Dallas did a great job. Very professional and extremely thorough, caught some detailed things that another roofing company didn’t catch (holes in a couple vents, double layer roof but only on one side) will be a repeat customer if we ever need anything else for sure!!

I contacted Guardian Roofing in Auburn to partner on an emergency job for a mutual client—an elderly couple in Kent, WA—after our company had already been contracted to handle the water mitigation portion of the loss. At the time Guardian was contacted, our company had already placed a tarp on the roof and installed mitigation equipment inside the home. We provided Guardian with all customer details strictly to handle the roof repair portion of the project. Instead of acting as a professional partner, Guardian contacted the homeowners directly and convinced them to switch mitigation services, effectively taking over work that was already under contract with us. Given the age and vulnerability of the homeowners, this behavior is especially concerning. This was highly unethical and unprofessional, and not how reputable emergency service companies should operate. Partnerships require trust, and Guardian Roofing demonstrated that they do not respect professional boundaries or existing agreements. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution other contractors and customers when considering working with this company.

It has been twice now back in 2023 and now today that I first had Richard come out go on the roof, take pictures and give me an honest assessment of what condition my tile roof was in and cost to fix those issues. Santiago and crew came removed and replaced my valley above the front door that was causing leaking inside at my front door ceiling and did an excellent job. No more leaking. So Dec 2025 . Historic rain, Richard came out again. Did an assessment of a leak I sprung in my living room ceiling, went in the attic then up on my roof. Informed me with pictures of what I needed to have done so it would mitigate any further potential leaks. Told me what the estimate would be. So Malia was overseeing the repairs needed, scheduled the repairs and her communication with me was excellent throughout trying to find a window of a dry day to start the repairs. Santiago finally came out to the house and did all the repairs and additional work to mitigate any future leaking elsewhere. He’s the same guy who worked on my valley back in 2023. He was professional, let me know what he was doing, was very quick in getting the work done and it was once again, a great experience overall. Auburn Guardian Roofing are the guys who know everything about my roof having been out here previously and I like that continuity. So I feel confident these 2 times they’ve shown up that the repairs are going to get done effectively. I think the cost both times was very reasonable. I can’t stay enough about this company. I highly recommend Auburn Guardian Roofing. And thank them for taking care of my roof now and in the future.

We recently had our roof cleaned and treated, it looks great. There was some over spray from the treatment that was on my car,Guardian Roofing took care of it and paid for the paint to be restored. Sometimes things go sideways with contractors because people do the work but Great companies stand behind their work and their employees. Guardian Roofing is one of those companies. We trust them and will always use them for any roofing project that we have.

Justin was an awesome Salesperson. He was personable, down to earth and low pressure. We absolutely appreciated the video he created for us outlining the issues we needed to fix. I'd recommend him and Guardian Roofing to others.

Jose was most professional. He and his colleague did the work and left everything clean. He did have to use my propane to torch down the roof because he was almost out. Other than that, there were no negatives at all. He did a great job. Now, we're just waiting to see if the leak is fixed.

Excellent customer service from a professional company. Clearly detailed the scope of and time frame of the work with video documentation. Electric forms made the process fast and easy.

Called Guardian with urgent roofing repair after a storm. They called early next morning, and had someone out later that morning for bid and tarp the hole. Dallas was very professional, efficient, took video of the repairs needed with detailed explanation while he was walking on our roof. The deposit for urgent tarping included in bid. The bid was very reasonable. All over good experience. They are able to come repair the roof in a few days.

Guardian was very responsive, setting our appointment for the day after we called (serious leaks in garage roof). Josh came out and did an extensive and professional job of checking for the leak points. He examined all of the attic space even though it seemed the leaks were in a limited area. Found at least one spot I hadn't found. He then went on the roof (in the heavy wind) and took pictures of the areas of the leaks, identifying the problems we needed to address. He presented us with his findings (with video), walking us through the issues. He worked up our contract and we are awaiting scheduling to get the work done. All in all a great experience. We are sure the work will be high quality also. Would definitely recommend Josh and Guardian.

They came and did a thorough evaluation. They did the work they said they would do. My only complaint is that there were too many contacts. I would prefer one responsible person from start to finish. However, they did get the job done, on schedule: competent and courteous. New roof (down to wood: new underlayers, vents, etc.) and new attic insulation.

We had a roof leak from a skylight or bathroom fan vent. Peter did a comprehensive job of inspection and provided a detailed estimate including pictures and video. Very professional and friendly approach.

Josh, on behalf of Guardian Roofing, inspected my roof & discovered the source of a leak that I was experiencing. Three other companies had been unable to find it. Josh took pictures of the leak location to verify what he found. In addition, there were some issues with the installation of the roof vents which he recommended resolving while they were repairing the leak. I was very impressed with how thorough the inspection was and obviously very happy they found the source of the leak. Josh explained the repair process in a way that was easy to understand. I am very satisfied with the experience I had.

Awesome experience with Guardian Roofing, I unfortunately experienced some bad workmanship from a different company and wasn’t comfortable giving them any more of money to fix their mistakes. So I reached out to guardian with a very tight timeline to get the repairs done and they did a fabulous job. I will be sure to contact them again on my next roofing project.

Explained everything I needed/wanted to know about the conditions of my roof and had no issues with any notices of the entire process and I was offered excellent choices of what to replace my shingles, plywood itself & gutters to reensure the safety and quality of the products ! Gotta hand it to the guy, with all the background knowledge I was given of the company and specialists, I am not surprised at all these guys are number 1 around the area with improvements to be involved with every step, I've learned they are willingly trying to exchange ethics for trust. I was also quickly breezed by the payment options with satisfaction especially here in Tacoma through this dramatic cost of living season. Excellent job repairing my roof. Other roofers had said that we needed a full replacement. Guardian is honest and stated that my current roof still has 10-15 years of durability still remaining.

The estimator from Guardian Roofing was very professional and thorough. Dallas performed a complete inspection of our roof and generated a very complete report backed-up with pictures and video. We are going forward with the roof repairs he recommended. Roof Repair & Maintenance... Jose and Victor did everything Dallas quoted. They were very professional, thorough and friendly and finished the job in one day! The repairs are clean and the whole roof looks fresh and ready to go for another two seasons. I highly recommend Guardian Roofing and these three gentlemen.

This was a repair under warrantee. The roof repair held all through last Winter, but we had a terrible rain storm last weekend, which led to a new drip, but still within the area of the repair. He showed me a picture of the tree branch that had caught on the corner of the chimney flashing that may have caused a back up. He removed the branch, and had caulk in the truck that match my green roof. It looked good, we'll see if it holds. Best part? No charge! Under warrantee.

I called 3 different roofing companies, one guy came on Tuesday, very nice respectful man, he walked around took pictures, and said he would send a bid. I was expecting that from Ron, but he went above and beyond, he went in our attic, git a ladder and looked at the roof pretty good, he's very well educated on replacing a roof, I thought I knew allot due to my Dad when I was a teenager had a roofing business, and I helped when I was younger, so I was hands on stripping a roof and putting a new roof on back in the early 80's. So I learned so much more, I do have one more bid coming Friday at 1pm, but I have a strong feeling we will be going with Ron, he's very personable, and respectful that is hard to find in our world it's rare, this man what ever he's getting pain, he is a priceless employee. This company is very lucky to have Ron as an employee.

Technician was professional and communicated with me in a clear concise manner. He showed respect for my home and me. He explained to me what he had discovered in reference to the problem I had reported as well as what is required to correct the issue.

Ron did a great job of explaining roofing details to us. He was knowledgeable and courteous. He supplied us with a fairly detailed quote for a complete new roof installation on site and went through site specific project specs and problems that could be encountered. He represented his established company, Guardian, very well.

Ron Otis came to our home to inspect our roof and provide a quote for a potential roof replacement. He spent more than an hour inspecting in detail the attic and outside roof for free, and then took the time to sit down with us and discuss our options without pressuring us into unnecessary fixes or upgrades. We truly felt that he was serving as a resource with our own best interests at heart, and he offered to review competitor quotes to walk us through an apples-to-apples comparison of their offers. Ron made what would normally be a stressful and uncertain period for us into a clear, confident game plan. He was kind, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Thank you, Ron!

Tanner came by yesterday to do a roof inspection/estimate on repairs. He was very thorough, pleasant and knowledgeable, and made everything make perfect sense. I'm not what the future of this repair will hold, but the inspection was a great experience!

Gabe was very friendly, exceptionally informative and professional. Gave us a video analysis of roof and gutter conditions. Had a great process with multiple menu options for selecting services. Answered all our questions.

TLDR: Save your money and TIME. Don’t even get a quote from these sleezy salespeople. This place overcharges and is so sales driven and uses sales tactics to makes buyers think they are best when they are just getting scammed. I was told my quote for my having my roof cleaned would take thirty minutes and this guy took over and hour and half to look at my roof (1,000 sq ft, very small) and then tried to get in my house to lecture me for an hour about this company and I should waste more time and money on them. I was quoted over $5k to have my freaking roof cleaned. This amount is absolutely absurd. I’ve had 3 other quotes and none were over $1k To top it off, the jerk left my gate open and because it took SO LONG I went to bed and forgot and my dog got out the next day.

Jimmy our roofing estimator did a great job, he was professional and on time. Juan completed the repairs today and did an excellent job. He was on time, professional and very good efficient with his repairs. We would use Guardian Roofing again in the future. Thank you for a job well done.

Our home is 16 years old and I wanted to have our roof inspected. I called Guardian Roofing and Gutters to see if we needed anything done. Justin Borchers came out and went on our roof and inspected it. Once he was done he came in our home and sat down and showed us a wonderful video he had taken of our roof and gutters. In the video he explained in detail what he found. The roof had small spotty patches of moss all over and the gutters were full of debris and leaves. The moss needed to be removed and the gutters needed to be cleaned inside and out. Justin didn’t just say it we got to see what was actually happening up there with our own eyes. I was extremely impressed with this process. Justin also did a small presentation of the company on his laptop. Here are my favorites: 1. Family owned. 2nd Generation 2. Gives back to the community. 3. A+ rated by the BBB. 4. All technicians are employed by Guardian not contractors. 5. They send out a bio and picture of the person coming to your home. We scheduled a non-invasive roof clean, environmentally safe moss treatment and gutters cleaned inside and wiped clean on the exterior. Everything looks beautiful.

Josh was very thorough and detailed-oriented with taking a video and pictures of all the issues with our roof and gutters. He sat down with me on my front porch and took the time to show me everything and answer all my questions. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. I'm in the process of getting a new roof from Guardian because of Jimmy Brown. He came the day after I called for an estimate. He's really personable,and I enjoyed talking to him. He inspected the roof and attic efficiently. He showed me pictures and video of my roof, which is in pretty bad shape. He explained what was wrong, and what a new roof system would be. He provided an affordable price and financing plan. I appreciate his expertise and ability to answer my questions.

Joe Hills with Guardian Roofing is awesome. He provides honest assessments and competitive pricing. I have a challenging roof because of the numerous dormer angles, and it’s a cedar roof. Many companies won’t even work on cedar roofs. Guardian has done a great job maintaining my roof. Joe is very responsive via text message and phone calls. He doesn’t try to upsell me on services I don’t need. I trust him as a point person for this company.

This review addresses my recent experience with Guardian Roofing, highlighting a significant disconnect between the quality of their work and the professionalism of their customer service and communication. While the final roofing job was of high quality, the process was filled with issues that made the overall experience extremely frustrating and, at times, alarming. The first issue began when the crew arrived ten days ahead of our scheduled appointment without any prior notice or confirmation. My partner was at home in an online meeting, and the crew began work without checking in. This unannounced arrival was not only disruptive but also demonstrated a complete lack of respect for our personal schedule and property. The situation was compounded when the crew left our back gate ajar, leading to a serious safety risk. Our dog, a beloved family member, escaped and was missing for two hours. This kind of negligence is unacceptable and goes far beyond a simple inconvenience. Additionally, the work led to some of my outdoor chair cushions being ruined, which I now need to replace. Again, had they not showed up 10 days early this would not have been an issue! Following these incidents, I made three separate phone calls to speak with a manager, but my calls were not returned. It wasn't until my third attempt that I finally received a call back. This demonstrates a clear breakdown in their customer service protocol and a disregard for client concerns. The company's final offer of a mere $50 discount for all this trouble—from the unannounced arrival to the lost dog—was dismissive and insulting. The quality of Guardian Roofing's finished work, was decent but see the attached photos of the area they neglected to clean. I cannot in good conscience recommend them based on their poor customer service and communication. The lack of professionalism, disregard for personal property, and the severe safety oversight with the gate were major failures. Potential customers should be aware that the high quality of their roofing work may come with a deeply frustrating and irresponsible service experience.

Dallas Del Rosario is the inspector today. I am amazed by his work! He came on time not early, not late, on time! Unlike other roofers just use the drones. He went into my attic, taking pictures, videos, then went on the roof. Then he showed me everything. I am still waiting for the estimate to see if it is affordable. His attitude and professioncy make me feel safe. Not sure how much they will charge for this job. If it is acceptable, they are my top choice.

I was in need of a total roof replacement this summer and received various visits and quotations from various companies which all felt over inflated in price or sketchy. When Jimmy showed up from Guardian, his presentation and pitch was unmatched as he answered all my questions, we explored all options and his quote was well within my budget and I was impressed by his customer service skills and we scheduled a date. The roofing team showed up on time, they were amazing and worked tirelessly, keeping the property clear of debris and the team lead by Eric T was professional, highly dedicated and very committed to the job. Their supervisor Patric was amazing and kept me informed of the daily progress with daily photos of the work being done and answered all my questions satisfactorily. I was impressed at the quality of work done, and roof was completed without any issues or delays. I should have called them first, I needed to replace my entire roof and got several quotes from smaller LLC's and businesses but was not satisfied with the price they quoted and how they communicated information to me... All the other places claimed to operate with "honor" and "integrity" but I consistently found large overestimates in material and square footage of my house, and radio silence when I asked them to explain how they came up with their numbers. Tyler and Patrick were great to work with, he explained exactly what I was getting and answered my questions on costs, lead times, and what to expect. After the roof was finished we saw some damage and Patrick offered to send a team out to fix it free of charge, which I greatly appreciate. They were quick to get started on work, finished the entire roof in 2 days (which I am still in disbelief of) and left me with a fantastic roof fixing all of my problems with it. They even took photos during the process so I could see what was going on while I was at work. The entire team at Gaurdian was also very kind and was great to work with, I truly cannot say enough good things.

Never doubted my decision to go with Guardian. They had my confidence from the get-go. Communication was excellent. The crew that delivered the product was on time and professional. From tear-down to mold remediation to putting on the new shingles, flashing, etc. The Guardian team was on time every day, respectful of the property & flower beds, professional, and did an excellent job of cleaning up every day. I would not hesitate to recommend Guardian and would have no qualms about using their services again.

Max gave the most thorough inspection of any other company who was bidding on roof cleaning. Pointed out numerous other issues and gave excellent suggestions on how to fix them. Excellent job. Fernando and S did a great job adding roof vents, fixing the flashing on the chimney and replacing the crown. The fellows who took out the old and replaced new insulation in the attic did a great job. Cleaned up well and can’t tell they ever cut a hole in the roof to do the work. Zach and crew took down the old gutters in record time so that painting can get done. Excellent. Guilmar came to turn the vents around properly before the painters started. Good coordination. Great job. Two guys came today and put up the new black gutters. They did a great job. Looking forward to the next rain storm to see how well they work. Great work everyone. Max came yesterday to check all the work that had been done. He found one bathroom vent hose was down. Henry came out today and reattached the hose. Great job everyone. Thanks alot!

Guardian came out, specifically Josh, to assess our roof as we needed it repaired to continue a gutter project that was halted. Josh was thorough and gave us estimates on the work to be done, plus other ways to improve the life of our roof. We appreciated his honesty, thoroughness and cost range of possible work to be done. We were able to have work expedited, which was so amazing, and the roof workers did a great job. We couldn’t be more pleased with the work done on our home built over 100 years ago. Thank you!!!!

What a difference 2 days make! (Okay, the chimney repair took more than 2 days, but so worth it.) I knew my parents' roof needed work, I just avoided looking up when I visited. :) But once Jesse pointed out the chimney was in pretty bad shape too, I couldn't un-see it. Erick and his Guardian crew took care of everything. Beautiful brand-new roof with a transferable warranty, I'll never avoid looking up again.

Then Patric and Alfredo and the crew were fast, professional, and communicative through the install process (even with some weather hiccups). Guardian Roofing did a fantastic job. They were originally scheduled for a day that turned into ice and snow so they had to postpone services. They promptly rescheduled and came out the following week. The technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. My roof has never looked better, and they did an excellent job cleaning up afterward. Highly recommend them!

Fastest gutter replacement service response for scope and estimate and then work start and completion. All within one week. Day 1 work was during heavy rain. One advantage, though as able to verify drainage direction. Day 2 was during a dry, sunny day. Work efficiency didn’t waiver due to weather. Professional lead and workers. Would recommend and have them back again.

Justin did a good job setting expectations doing what he could to manage costs. The team of four showed up every day early and worked very efficiently. They to pride in their work and we’re taking great care not to destroy foliage. One small mishap with a railing was resolve within 24 by Jose. He took time to personally come and fix the issue. They were all very accommodating and easy to work with! Follow up inspection by Carlos was very thorough and fixed a few over sites. Very honest and forthright with information and his work. Thanks Carlos! Carlos returned to do a finish job on a couple of items that were found. Fast, courteous, and professional. Great worker!!!

We had our roof replaced in July, I waited until now to write my review when roof and gutters would be put to the test. Everything is working perfectly! Our service started with Ron who performed a detailed inspection then spent 4 hours explaining everything in detail. Laura kept us up to date through out the job. Erik and his crew were obviously experienced, professional, prompt and left no debris nor damaged the landscape. Very pleased from start to finish, will happily use them again.
