Through a series of unexpected and sudden events, I needed a new HVAC system urgently. Everyone from sales to installation went smoothly and they worked with me to help make sure I could have heat at my house again. Jared and Byron showed up the morning of the install, they came out on a cold morning and crawled around in a very tight crawlspace to install the new system. They say that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I’ve heard from many sources that Estes Services was a very good company to use for your HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical needs. And today both Jared & Bryon replacing my entire HVAC system.  They were professional and very knowledgeable technicians and did a great job in my installation.  The sales agent Jacob Thomas was fare and honest with his estimate as well. Purchased a maintenance contract for twice-yearly inspections and was very disappointed. First visit had to be rescheduled because the technician forgot their drivers license. Second visit only included an outdoor unit inspection. After I complained, the same technician returned. Two months later I’m told my entire system needs replacing. I got three quotes elsewhere. Estes spent an hour with me, promised an emailed estimate within 30 minutes, and never sent it. Poor follow-through, unreliable service, and lack of transparency. There are more dependable HVAC companies in Atlanta.

Miquel, one of the technicians who came to my house for installation and repairs recently, stood out for his sincere interest in figuring out a problem that I was having with excessive noise coming from my new furnace, which seemed to baffle others. Greg Richards was amazing!! He talked me through everything he did and tried multiple methods for getting our sinks unclogged on our older house. He was kind and honest. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work he did. In my opinion, he went above and beyond and was able to get my sinks unclogged, when another plumber couldn’t. That plumber also wanted to tear down a wall, but Greg was able to get it done without doing that. Thank you so much for helping us start the year right!

Had Estes replace our furnace and they suggested I also replace certain vents. Huge mistake taking their suggestion, they cut new holes into the floor when holes in the wall were already there. Also the vent placement was very bad. They literally wrapped one vent around my de humidifier in the crawl space. It would have been so simple to remove the existing vents and place new ones in same locations but they didn’t do that and now I have vents wrapped around items and inconveniently placed. Though I was in the house, they simply told me when they were done and didn’t take any of my direct feedback. Will never use Estes again

I was receiving quotes from companies, some of them tried to take advantage. But THANK GOD I found Estes on my google search!! The reviews did not disappoint!! From booking the appointment with the lovely Brittany/Britney (she was so sweet, pleasant, empathetic, understanding, & informative) all the way to my GOD SENT technician Juan Cabrera!! I can NOT say enough GREAT things about this man!! He was honest & upfront, he listened, he was beyond professional- explained everything PERFECTLY so that I would understand what was going on. He was amazing from beginning to end and he fit me into his busy weekday schedule during the week. Trust is HUGE for me (I’ve been bamboozled before) & Juan DELIVERED on every front. I had an emergency situation where my heat stop working all of a sudden. I remembered seeing them on channel 2 several times highlighting their services. So, I called Estes and they came to assist the same day (it was on a Saturday-busiest day). My technician was professional and listened to my complicated scenario. Although, I needed to wait on two parts to come in, the tech told me that he would get my heat back up and running, and he did! I felt at ease knowing that a professional company completed the work as well as fitted me in during a time that I needed the services. Having a reputable company complete work on your furnace is the way to go! Don't hesitate, just call Estes!

I had my downstairs HVAC system replaced. While it was 18 years old, I was unhappy that it quit working during Estes’ biannual service inspection. This is the third system I’ve bought from Estes over the years from the same “comfort analyst” and I had no concern with using them again. Fray and Chris H installed the new system. They were friendly and communicative. They worked with me to resolve installation issues that were not worked out in advance. Left the site clean and answered or got answers to the questions I asked.

I had a very disappointing experience with Estes. I purchased a tankless water heater with an external circulation pump. The technician who sold me the equipment was also the one who installed the system. Unfortunately he didn’t know what he was doing. He improperly installed the system and left out an important check valve. As a result we did not have hot water. A second technician came out and did not realize that it was installed improperly or that it was missing an important check valve. The first and second technicians came out together on the third visit. They miscommunicated the setup to the tankless water heater manufacturer representative and as a result were given wrong information on how to correct the issue. They both mistakenly insisted they had fixed the problem. The problem was not fixed. A third technician was sent out. He immediately noticed that there were two (2) code violations as a result of the first technician’s installation errors. He also realized that there was a missing check valve and that as a result of the faulty installation, the external circulation pump was now broken. He was able to install the missing check valve and to bypass the broken external circulation pump, so that we at least had hot water, but not instant hot water. He said he would have to come out again to replace the external circulation pump and to correctly install it and he would have the first technician on site with him to fix the two (2) code violations. So on the fifth visit by Estes, a replacement external circulation pump was correctly installed and the two (2) code violations were resolved. The first Estes technician was completely incompetent as he completed the initial installation incorrectly with two (2) code violations and failed to install a critical check valve. The second Estes technician was just as incompetent as the first as he didn’t notice the two (2) code violations or the missing check valve and misrepresented the external circulation pump situation to that tankless water heater representative. As a result the external circulation pump was then incorrectly set up to get power directly from the tankless water heater instead of an electrical outlet. The third Estes technician was the only competent technician of the three. He also was man enough to listen to me loudly and profanely vent my frustration with the entire process and he didn’t cause any of the issues and actually solved all the issues. The first technician ran to his truck like a little baby when I began to express my displeasure with the problems. I requested a call from Estes owner and was told that the third technician’s boss would call me later in the day. I never received that promised phone call. What should have only required one visit, ended up taking five (5) visits and numerous gallons of my expensive city water were wasted as a result of the entire process. Plus we didn’t have hot water between the first and fourth visits. At the very least the owner of Estes should have personally contacted me to apologize for the incompetence and the inconvenience it caused and offer me a free maintenance plan for the tankless water heater and external circulation pump. I would not recommend that anyone use Estes for plumbing services. The cost of the tankless water heater with an external circulation pump and installation was $6,888.00. We went with Estes for our HVAC system replacement in 2023 and it’s been nothing but a debacle since. The salesman Justin was nice and friendly but the overall service, work quality, and quality of products are awful. We bought a new 4 ton, overpriced, and poorly manufactured Carrier unit and the install crew left trash and debris everywhere, shut off the septic pump, and failed to secure several areas on the ducts and registers properly. The crew also reported that the furnace was damaged and that they were unable to program it. Not a deal breaker since it was summertime but the damage turned out to be significant and instead of just replacing the unit Estes tried to repair it. Several attempts later and well into October they finally got it somewhat working, but it was November and 2 more service calls later before it was running correctly. This problem also coincided with a damper that stopped working. Estes didn’t replace them to save money, and because they used the same brand and were nearly new, but I found it odd that one of them failed right after a service call where the tech failed to secure the cover on the blower motor and the panel on the zone control board…. 3 months after installation, and several service calls later, the new HVAC system was finally working but then problems with the downstairs thermostat started. The ambient temperature displayed on the screen would “get stuck” per the tech and was replaced multiple times. Then in April the brand new compressor wouldn’t engage. Another service call later the tech installed a hard start booster to the compressor but this was concerning since boosters are taxing on a unit and typically used for older compressors on their last leg. A new compressor not engaging correctly can also be a sign of refrigerant pressure problems. I informed Estes of my concerns and after waiting for more than a month (followed up 3 times with no response) they finally responded and said that Mingledorff’s and Carrier said it was no problem. I was and still am skeptical of their response because if the hard start was needed for the unit to function correctly then why wasn’t it installed by the manufacturer? Unfortunately, the thermostat issues persisted and the Estes customer service rep and tech finally admitted that they were junk (Honeywell) and that there was no fix for them. Gee thanks… So they installed an Ecobee and it’s been no better either since it keeps our house temp at whatever it chooses instead of our setting. It also disconnects randomly to calibrate per the screen and allowed the house to get up to 79 degrees before it finally kicked back on. Nothing like having a hot house with a newborn baby and after spending over $18,000 on a new system. ***UPDATE: As the response says, Estes did finally try to improve the situation. Joel, Barry, and Cody all worked with me and made adjustments to the system but they only blew smoke and never saw the process through. During the process they blew me off not once, not twice, but 3 times on our scheduled conference calls and after the third time I gave up. The comfort and thermostat problems persist and now Estes says I need to spend another $7,000+ for more insulation in the attic. Funny how there was no problem with the insulation when they did their “pre-installation inspection” and not until a year after they sold me this junk system. But it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Estes did a poor job on the ducts (had one break loose from the roof strap), miscalculated the heat load on the house, and installed too small of a unit. They don’t want to eat the cost to make it right so they gave me the runaround until the satisfaction warranty ran out. Do yourself a favor a choose somebody else y’all. Estes is nothing short of a joke and even though they advertise “24/7 emergency response” they haven’t ever responded promptly to any of my calls. I have YEARS left on my “service contract” and I’d rather pay a competent and honest HVAC company for any service calls going forward than have Estes set foot in my house again.

I noticed some wet drywall and called Estes to send out a plumber. They were able to send someone the same day. He examined the wall and bathrooms on the floor above, and identified a small leak from one. There is a fee to send someone out, but I felt it was reasonable for same day service from a knowledgeable rep.

I had an a AC coil and furnace replaced. I contacted Estes because of there great reputation and I was not disappointed. Everyone I dealt with from Erick (Technician), Justin (Sales) and Trevor and Ruben (Install) was professional, answered all my questions and delivered everything promised. In fact I had no AC and had an issue with getting a coil from Lennox quickly and Justin took up the issue and resolved that day, In fact my AC coil and new furnace were installed the next day. Can't say enough good things about Estes and their representatives.

Cannot say enough about Estes Services! I was dealing with an AC that wasn't working during the dead of summer. Great initial intake call and I had an excellent technician (Joshua W.) out a few hours later who diagnosed two issues with the furnace and provided both a temporary (fixes that would last a bit and were less expensive) and long-term (replacement of furnace) solution. We decided to replace the furnace--and had Sam out at the property giving us a quote the next morning (he was excellent and very professional). We were able to get the installation the next morning. This was IMPRESSIVE! From my initial call to Estes, the furnace was installed 48 hours later. The team who installed our furnace (Fray and Chris H.) were on time, hard working, and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right. From that initial call to the diagnosis of issue to the quote to the installation Estes gets a 10 out of 10. We also use Estes for our regular HVAC tune ups and have been thrilled with their service. Overall cannot recommend Estes HVAC enough!

Had a great experience with Estes during the first routine service appointment. It was a new house and my HVAC system had not been inspected, other than by home inspector. The technician, Lee Smith, did a great job identifying issues with the duct work that were causing poor airflow to the master bedroom. He explained the problem and provided some options and solutions on how to fix it. Would definitely recommend.

From the time my technician Lee Steward arrived, he was very professional. He greeted me with a smile as well as greeted my dogs. Lee was very knowledgeable on what was going on with my HVAC system. He noticed my system was wired incorrectly from the time my home was built. Not only fixed the problem, but he also didn't charge me for rewiring the system where some companies would have. He was very compassionate in the process, and he made sure everything was working properly before he left. My husband and I signed up for the preventative plan to ensure we will not have any issues in the future. Lee will be my technician when my home gets service- we are in good hands. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Estes. After having four other reputable companies come out and provide a quote for a total electric panel upgrade and repair to my water heater…Estes proved to not only be the most economical choice, but the best in overall customer service, knowledge on current GA codes and standards, and overall personable and friendly. I’m big on timeliness, and both Kent and Britt as well as there office folks did an excellent job of scheduling and informing me when they were in route, way ahead of time. I find that quite considerate, plus they were immensely easy to work with. From the rep who answers the phone to the service techs that provide the expertise and do the work, ALL THE STARS!! Kent the Plumber, Britt and Charlie the electricians are stellar! I have no doubt I made the best choice and would highly recommend these service techs and the Estes company time and time again! No need to look any further, I did it for you. Whatever your home repair, these are the folks to do it!! To the Estes higher ups! Just adding that Kent, Britt, and Charlie need a full bonus, easily 20% each of the overall bill for repairs. They just made the day great…love when people come on time, do what needs to be done, and have a pleasant attitude.

Estes has been fantastic for all our HVAC and plumbing needs. We have needed a couple of emergency repairs since we moved into our home and they have always been able to send someone out within 24 hours to take care of things. Estes sent plumber Kent Thompson out to correct a water heater installation problem. Kent Thompson was totally knowledgeable, professional and personable. I had a new AC system installed by Estes about 10 years ago...I was totally satisfied, but two and a half years ago, Estes sent a plumber "Dante" to install my bonus water heater that was included with the AC system. This plumber was "less than satisfactory". Today Estes stood behind their installation and corrected Dante's work. Thank you Estes. Thank you Kent Thompson!

I have utilized Estes Services several times for major in home installations. They have installed a furnace, main water line and today Marius and Jeff installed my Air Conditioning Unit. I use Estes because they always do really quality work, technicians are always pleasant and professional and there is never a problem with their service. We had a fantastic experience with our friends from Estes. Alan remembered us from a previous service request where he worked late into the evening to fix a back up because he did not want to leave us with a job half finished, that's the kind of service you can expect from Estes. This time we called on Estes to install whole home water filtration and were lucky enough to get Alan. We also had some electrical needs and Estes was great to schedule both services for the same day to limit disruption. Britt the electrician was professional, knowledgeable and great to answer our many questions. Estes gets the job done every time!

Nice people and they respond quickly. HOWEVER their prices are criminal. My heat pump compressor was coming on but the fan in the air handler wasn't running. I called they came out the next day. Told me about the $79 service charge is which like $20 more than a couple years ago but whatever still fine. They spent 10 mins and realized quickly the fan motor was bad and told me i really need to replace the furnace as it was 20 years old or something. I asked how much it would be to simply get it running (fix it, replace the motor). They quoted me $1800. $1800. I couldn't believe it. I told them I'd get back to them as I wanted to do a little research first because of the last interaction i had with them (keep reading). Anyway after they left i took a couple pictures of the motor and got the part number. Looked online and found the motor for $350. I figured i'll l try to install it myself but for $1800 must be something difficult about swapping it out. I got the motor yesterday. Brand new part from Trane $350 shipped. Took 2 days. Today I looked at doing the job. It took me less than 45 minutes to swap the part out and i'm running again no issues. SO the way i see they make over $1400/hour???? HOW? So 2 years ago similar situation. The compressor wasn't running. They came out and told me the capacitor was bad on the compressor and i think they wanted $200 to replace it. Same thing i told them I was gonna thinking about maybe find someone cheaper. That part was $16.31 on Amazon. Been running every since. Took me 5 minutes to change that part. I know they must understand these jobs why are they robbing us? HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY THIS?? FYI: I have zero HVAC experience - i shouldn't need any. I'm a computer guy.

So not to bore you with little details long story short we needed a new HVAC unit and furnace in 27-year-old home and call several companies to get estimates. Out of three companies Estes had the best presentation and Chris McBride our Comfort Analyst broke it all down to me and later that evening he answered a few questions that my wife had. Decided to go with Estes and glad we did, Marus and Jeff the Estes installation crew that showed up at our home a few days later were short of nothing but excellent and total professional in every way, from contacting me to say they were on their way, to pre-work and getting ready, from uninstalling of old unit, to installing new upgraded duct work, to keeping their work area clean and tidy, and finally complete installation of new unit. Thanks again guys and when the other older unit fails, I'll will just call Estes and request this superb team again.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Inspection and Preventative Maintenance Clients Don’t expect to get what you pay for or the “Peace of Mind” Estes offers. Nor, can you count on its tradition of “Integrity & Quality”. As a senior citizen and recovering cancer patient, I depended on Estes inspections and preventive maintenance contracts and reports to ensure the health and safety of my equipment. Based on its findings, I was of the belief my HVAC system was free of safety and health hazards. I was mortified, when a routine third party determined Estes had not been reporting (but not limited to) and allowed to persist the following deficient findings: 1) Found black stuff inside supply plenum 2) Defective and non-working UV lighting system and defective ballast 3)The HEPA filter is hard-wired to the furnace and not working I believe Estes knew or should have known of the existing and dangerous conditions in Clients HVAC and as such reported these specific findings so that part replacement and repairs could be made. Client alleges by failing to report or omitting these findings from its paid inspection reports, Estes's knew or should have known existed, Estes caused injury and illness to Client’s weakened state of health. Client has spoken with Operations Manager and Estes owner, however, they do not accept accountability. Client feels public and seniors especially need to know these areas are not being checked and or reported for their own personal safety. Pictures follow. Update to Estes response: While my review addresses facts, Estes response does not. At no time did Estes offer remediation or repair for one item listed in my review above or picture listed below Nor, did I have the opportunity to decline these specific repairs, because Estes never reported them to me! While they did provide other pictures that I did decline and not deem necessary, they know these are not them! Carlos and Brandyn did an amazing job installing my new HVAC system. They showed up on time and got started right away. Everything went smoothly. I was so pleased. It took them about 4-5 hours to complete the job. They even installed a specific digital thermostat I wanted to use. These two young men were wonderful. Sonny and Joel replaced our entire heating and AC units. They were kind, informative, professional, respectful and knowledgeable of their work. They communicated well with me anytime there was a problem’ to solve that needed the homeowner’s opinion. We also had a wonderful experience with LeVerne, the gentleman that explained our options to us about repairing or purchasing, and Darrell, the initial serviceman who found and explained to us the problem. I've tried calling their "emergency" number and it goes to a message saying that no one is available to answer at this time. I called a number I had from the installation day and after a few calls he said he got a hold on the maintenance manager and that he was going to see what's going on. Long story short, there's no answer in their emergency line on a Saturday at 9:30 am and there's no return calls either. They Installed an exterior tankless gas water heater. They promised the unit won't freeze and it did. Amazingly the cold water is fine! We have plenty of freezing cold water but the hot line is frozen!! Makes no sense at all. The installation doesn't seem to had been done completely to 100% standards. The pipes are not insulated and the holes they made into the wall are not sealed.

Estes Services was completely professional from the beginning to end. We used them in 2021 during an emergency when our air conditioner stopped working. They were able to repair it temporarily to get us through the rest of the year. We did have Chris McBride come out and give us a few quotes but at the time, we just couldn't swing replacing the unit. Fast forward to this year, I reached out to Chris M. again who came by my house the next day to draw up a new estimate. Chris was easy to work with and knowledgeable of what was needing to be done. This quote was on a Tuesday and the whole team was at my house on Friday for AC replacement and new duct work for returns in the attic. They worked fast, efficient, and were in and out within 1/2 a day. Geovani, Carlos, and Brandyn were perfect. On Monday (today at the time of writing 5/16/2022) Howard and Patrick showed up to build an encasement for the return that was exposed. They were quick and were in and out in no time. The work looks great as if the wall existed the whole time. They even did the base molding which is something I didn't even think about. I've currently talked to them about doing insulation as well just because this whole process from start to finish has been great. 10/10 would recommend.

I wish that I can give negative review such as -100 stars. I purchased my house on middle of October 2017 and Estes Services installed new HVAC system at my house on end of October 2017 (Paid $18,888.00). And I moved into my house on early November finally. Since I had service contract and warranty on the system w/ Estes, I had no worry on my HVAC system at all. On August 11th, First summer after I moved into my house, I've notice water spots and cracks on my ceiling. I went up attic; notice condensate were every where under HVAC ducts still dripping under HVAC handler. Called Estes. They came, saying my attic was causing problems and took off. Had hired 3rd HVAC company. Found that my HVAC was not properly installed and leaking. Estes's manager came to my house. He finally admit that they made mistake. they will replace with new Ducts and correct the issues yet Estes would not repair the damage done to my house. They insist that touch paint water stains on ceiling will take care of everything and they will do it with their own people. I had to bring other contractors. Damages were bigger than I ever imagined. 1.Mold were growing in my attic and one of bed room. 2. Many of ceiling light fixtures were not working and water were sitting on from wet insulation. 3. Estes installed broken barker in eclectic panel and left burned maker. Since Estes were not fixing any of the damage they created at my house, I had to use my home owner insurance and my own expanse to get rid of mold. My Thanks giving and X-mas holiday were gone. I am still living with paint peeling ceiling and fighting with home owner insurance to help me to paint the ceiling. I informed Estes the damages; emailed to everyone at Estes including Sam Estes (owner of the company). Estes's manager, Glyn Strickland promised that he will replace ducts, vent boots and plenum with new, send his electrician to check all wires, issue one year install warranty from the date they came out to repair (12/26/2018), issue one year service contract. So far nothing has been reserved. do not use this company!!! Estes installed new HVAC system on Late October 2017. I moved into my house on early November 2017. It was winter time and I was mainly using heater. When the city inspection person came to my house, there were no condensate on ducts since condensate was creating with AC only. Inspection person passed inspection without realizing the system was licking. On August 11th 2018, I discovered that the HVAC system was licking and not installed correctly. I just reported and verified about Estes' claim (about my home owner insurance's statement on this situation) to my home owner insurance company. My home owner insurance had no contact with Estes so far. However, I was told that now Estes will have to answer all these expenses to repair damage at my house and the false statement in legal matter. It has been 7 months since I reported this problem to Estes. Estes is dis-earnest and not being responsible on their mistake. I gave them enough time to fix their mistake but instead of fixing their mistake, they are lying now. What they did to my life and my house is not acceptable at all. This people are so wrong!!! After all this, instead of fixing the damage and repair/correct the HVAC system, they decide to lie on public! Do not believe any comment they made - it is lie!!! State Farm never told Estes that it is not their mistake. I verified this with State Farm! Do not believe their lie!!!
